At Forrester Originals, Eric, Stephanie, Felicia and Bridget reviewed new designs for their collection. Stephanie expressed doubt that Ridge and Brooke's wedding will still take place. Stephanie blabbed to Bridget about the Rick and Phoebe incident at Big Bear. Bridget tried to defend Rick and Phoebe, while Felicia cautioned it would be a PR scandal if their relationship got out. Ridge arrived on the scene to inform everyone that Rick and Phoebe broke up. Stephanie cast doubt on the news since it was coming from Brooke. Ridge insisted the matter had been settled. Ridge asserted that he and Brooke are solid and their wedding is still on.

Alone together in his office, Rick rebuffed Phoebe's advances and insisted that they deserve to have a real relationship when the time is right. Rick said they have to prove to everyone that they can be adults. Phoebe reluctantly agreed. Later Brooke ran into Phoebe, who expressed her annoyance with Brooke for flip-flopping on her relationship with Rick. "Don't you want your son to be happy?" Phoebe asked Brooke. Phoebe accused Brooke of selling out on her own beliefs "just to get a wedding ring on her finger." Brooke warned Phoebe that if she continues to see Rick the two of them will face all kinds of obstacles, including the press. Phoebe told Brooke that her relationship with her father looks more like a dictatorship than a partnership since they're not even married yet and already Ridge is telling Brooke what to do. Brooke downplayed her disagreements with Ridge and defended his intentions to protect Phoebe. Later Stephanie confronted Brooke, who asked her how she felt about Rick and Phoebe's breakup. Brooke said she thought it was for the best. Stephanie warned that she's going to watch Rick and Phoebe like a hawk while Brooke is in Australia. Brooke suggested that Stephanie use the time to adjust her attitude instead, since she will soon be Stephanie's daughter-in-law. Again. Stephanie sarcastically doubted that that would happen. Ridge flashed back to all of his confrontations with Rick, and approached Phoebe to express his condolences over her breakup with Rick. Phoebe declared that she and Rick are willing to wait as long as it takes, but warned her father that if things don't work out with Rick she's not sure if she'll ever be able to forgive Ridge.

A mystery woman phoned Rick's cell and left a voicemail telling him she's a "voice from his past," she's in L.A. and can't wait to see him. Rick's secretary told him of a call for him by a woman who wouldn't give her name, who insisted he'd want to talk to her. After several failed attempts at getting through to Rick, she finally got him on the phone when his secretary left to run an errand for him. "I'll see you soon," teased the mystery woman, who made her grand entrance into Rick's office before his secretary returned. "Ashley?!" a startled Rick exclaimed. (Welcome to B&B, Eileen Davidson.) "Did you forget about me?" she cooed. "No, of course I remember," said Rick, as his jaw dropped to the floor.

Phoebe asked Rick not to stop kissing her, and insisted that they are right to defy their disapproving parents. She pulled him back into an embrace and they kissed some more. Rick hesitated, worried about their parents. But Phoebe persisted, and pulled Rick back into kissing her yet again. Rick stopped again and declared he's putting on the breaks because she deserves better than this. "You are not just like any other girl, you are so special to me...I love you," Rick declared, insisting he wants her special moment to be as special as she is. The two hugged. Rick told Phoebe they need to cool things down for their family's sake. Rick explained that them sneaking around behind Ridge's back only sent the wrong message. Rick suggested that they prove to Ridge that they are mature adults and hope that Ridge will come around. Rick promised to never let Phoebe go, no matter what happens. Alone in the cabin after Rick left, Phoebe lost her composure.

Nick was amused by a DVD he watched of Hope. Jackie spotted his amusement, and commented on how much he misses her — and Brooke. Nick told Jackie that Ridge and Brooke's wedding may be in trouble because of their divisions over Rick and Phoebe. When Jackie contemplated working the angles, Nick declared he has no interest in getting Brooke back. Jackie said that's only because she's hurt him so much. Nick insisted Brooke is in his past...just as Taylor entered the room and heard everything. A red-faced Jackie politely excused herself, but Taylor stopped her and acknowledged that she knows Jackie will always have a special fondness for Brooke. After Jackie left, Nick did his best to reassure Taylor of his commitment to her.

Ridge lamented to Brooke that they shouldn't have left Rick and Phoebe alone at Big Bear. Ridge also lamented to Brooke that she kept the truth from him, and warned of grave consequences if Rick and Phoebe don't break things off tonight. Brooke asked Ridge to at least consider that Phoebe might be old and mature enough to make her own decisions, and insisted that Rick would never take advantage of her. Ridge insisted he's just trying to look out for his daughter. Brooke praised him for being a good parent, but insisted that he needs to accept and love her son, because she doesn't want to perpetuate a dysfunctional family the way Stephanie did. (Much too late, but we digress.) Brooke asked Ridge point blank if he thinks he's capable of doing that, and said Rick and Phoebe will both need their support. Brooke got a call from Rick on his cell. Sanding outside the cabin, he told his mother that he had a long talk with Phoebe and they both agreed to break things off. Delighted by the news, Ridge thanked Brooke for convincing Rick to "do the right thing" and hugged her. Meanwhile, Phoebe stepped outside the cabin after overhearing Rick's conversation with his mother, and vowed to herself that things are definitely not over.

At the Big Bear cabin, Brooke pleaded with Ridge to take his hands off of Rick. Stephanie agreed, declaring that he should be angry with Brooke because she's known about Rick and Phoebe's relationship the entire time. Ridge stopped dead in his tracks and confronted Brooke, who admitted that she knew about their children's involvement. Stephanie tried to fan the flames from the sidelines, while Phoebe jumped to Brooke's defense. Ridge angrily explained how he's been doing the best he can as a father of a teenage girl with no manual on parenting to refer to. Brooke demanded to speak to Rick privately. Rick apologized for having everything blow up in their faces. Brooke admonished Rick for his bad judgment despite his good intentions. Brooke demanded that Rick break things off with Phoebe before things spiral out of control. Stephanie told Phoebe she owes her father an apology. Phoebe agreed, and apologized to Ridge for sneaking behind his back. Phoebe insisted that Rick didn't "drag her" up there, but that it was her idea. Brooke and Rick returned to the room and said she wanted Rick and Phoebe to talk privately, over Ridge's objections. Privately, Phoebe expressed her relief to Rock that her father finally knows, and felt good that they could now have their relationship out in the open. Phoebe urged Rick to forget about what their parents said, and declared her love for him, as Rick stood by silently and listened to what she had to say. "Please, just love me," Phoebe asked. Rick took Phoebe's face in her hands and kissed her gently on the lips....

On the car ride home, Ridge rehashed his disappointment with Brooke for keeping him out of the loop. Brooke ordered that Ridge pull the car off to the side of the road so they could get something straight. Brooke said she didn't want to do this in front of the others, and unloaded on Ridge for putting his hands on her son. Brooke declared that she will not tolerate him striking Rick. Ridge promised that he will never let what happened tonight happen again.

Nick played doting nurse to Taylor. His bedside manner obviously agreed with his patient, because their banter soon gave way to serious lovemaking that left Nick out of breath. Taylor teased Nick about him letting go of the first love of his life — the Marlin. Nick laughed, and insisted that Brooke is also in the past as much as the Marlin is. But Nick warned Taylor that Stephanie will come to her one day soon and ask her to get back together with Ridge. Taylor laughingly said that would never happen. Nick asked Taylor to kiss him — and the two began to make love again.

Nick reiterated to Taylor that he was through with Brooke, regardless of Stephanie's machinations, but Taylor wanted to discuss it. She asked how he'd feel if Brooke showed up at the door, and then the door bell rang. He told her to forget about that line of thought, but guess who was at the door! Brooke was there to drop off a get well gift from Hope, but then she noticed Taylor's purse on the table. She apologized for interrupting and asked after Taylor. Then Nick told her that Stephanie had come by to let him know she was going to be available soon. "Watch your back," he warned. They kept getting uncomfortably close and not talking, but Brooke finally turned to leave. Nick grabbed her arm, insisting she tell him what was going on with Ridge and the kids. "It's not your problem anymore," she said, but then she told him everything. "We'll get through this," she concluded and excused herself. As awkward as it was, Brooke asked to use the phone before leaving. Nick left her to it, thanking her for the gift before going upstairs. Taylor was flabbergasted that Brooke had come right after she'd asked what he would do if it happened, not to mention after Stephanie warned it would happen. He explained she'd come with the gift, not knowing about Stephanie. When Taylor surmised that Stephanie was wrong about Phoebe and Rick, he wondered if that was really her concern. He said that if Brooke and Ridge split up, "it's got nothing to do with me." He kissed and said he wanted to be with her.

Stephanie stopped in on Ridge, who was working on a gown. She told him Phoebe and Rick were still seeing each other and that Brooke knew all about it. Then she insisted they follow the couple up to Big Bear. Ridge was worried about his daughter. Though not convinced she'd be up there, he was sure that if she were, it wasn't her idea. Stephanie was more interested in Brooke's part in all this and insisted Ridge could still postpone — or cancel! — the wedding. Ridge threatened to pull over and kick her out of the car if she mentioned Brooke again. That's when Brooke called to talk dinner. He told her to meet him up at the cabin. "Don't worry," he said. "When I get up there I'm going to put a stop to it once and for all." She rushed out the door, muttering, "Oh my God, Rick, what were you thinking?!"

Rick and Phoebe got up to the cabin and immediately started making out. Then Rick got a fire going and lit some candles. "I was a Boy Scout. I always come prepared," he quipped, but he admitted he hadn't been prepared for her. He was surprised she'd thought of sneaking up to the cabin and she said sneaking around was "kind of exciting." They cozied up on the couch and kissed some more. Then he heard a car. Phoebe assumed he was teasing her, so he brushed it off — but then they heard Stephanie's voice! They hid under the blankets on the couch, but when Ridge called her name, her head popped up. Rick's followed shortly after. Ridge kept his cool until Phoebe refused to leave with him. "You did this," he snarled at Rick. "You brought my little girl up here for what, Rick?" Phoebe insisted lying to him was her idea. Then Stephanie revealed she'd overheard them talking, which made Rick accuse them of spying. Ridge was glad she overheard so he could interrupt, but that set Rick off. He baited Ridge, saying his daughter wouldn't have done anything she didn't want to do and, "She didn't come up here just to be with me. She came up here to get away from you and I can't blame her! If I could get my mom do to the same thing, I would." Brooke walked in just as a furious Ridge grabbed him by the collar.

Nick tucked Taylor into bed and apologized for almost getting her killed, but Taylor insisted that the boating accident had been her fault because she insisted that Nick turn off the ship's radio. Nick admitted that he was terrified when he couldn't find Taylor in the water, and they kissed. The doorbell rang, and Nick answered it. It was Stephanie. She'd seen Taylor and Nick at the hospital, and it was clear their relationship had changed. Stephanie told Nick that Taylor wasn't his kind of woman; Brooke was. Then, she explained that Ridge and Brooke's relationship was about to blow up because Brooke was supporting Rick and Phoebe. Stephanie was certain that once that happened, Brooke would come running back to Nick. "She doesn't deserve to be thrown over for Brooke — again," Stephanie noted. Nick tossed Stephanie out and returned to Taylor's side. He filled Taylor in on his conversation with La Forrester. Taylor wondered what would happen to the two of them if Brooke did come running back to Nick.

Rick begged Brooke not to tell Ridge that he and Phoebe were still seeing each other. He reminded his mom that Ridge said he would kill Rick if he ever laid a hand on his daughter. Brooke was torn now that Stephanie had figured things out. Ridge, Felicia and Phoebe interrupted. Ridge was concerned that the dress Phoebe was modeling was a tad too sexy, and perhaps should be worn by another model. Rick agreed it looked hot — maybe a little too hot — and pointed out that wasn't the kind of image they wanted to project.

Later, Felicia told Ridge that the tension between him and Rick was out of control. Ridge explained that he didn't want Rick and Phoebe spending any time alone together. Meanwhile, Rick continued to implore Brooke not to tell Ridge that he was seeing Phoebe. "I can't lie to my fiancé," retorted Brooke, begging Rick to keep his distance from Phoebe until after the wedding. Ridge wasn't the only one with suspicions...Stephanie had some too. Phoebe and Stephanie arrived, and Stephanie found a way to lure Brooke away so Phoebe and Rick alone would be. Steph hit the intercom button on the office phone just before she ushered a worried Brooke out.

In Ridge's office, Stephanie told Brooke that Ridge deserved to know what was going on and accused Brooke of lying to him. It was obvious Rick and Phoebe were still involved. Brooke wouldn't flinch and ordered Stephanie to keep her mouth shut and stay out of it. After Brooke stormed out, Stephanie hit the intercom button and listened in on Rick and Phoebe kissing and making plans to rendezvous later.
