At Insomnia, Donna urged Phoebe to pursue a romance with Rick, regardless of what anyone says. Phoebe was suspicious of Donna's motive, like maybe breaking up Ridge and Brooke. Donna continued to push Phoebe, who said she and Rick had to steer clear of each other until their parents re-wed. Donna asked if Rick is willing to wait. Phoebe insisted that he is.

Over dinner at Cafe Russe, Rick encouraged Ashley to take the job with Forrester Originals. She noted that she'd been through a lot and needed stability. She's not the woman he knew in Paris, Rick teased. They reminisced over fun times in the City of Lights. When he said he's not singing like he used to, she advised Rick not to give up something he loves. He steered the conversation back to Ash, pushing her to sign on with Forrester. Ash agreed to the deal; a champagne toast ensued. When Ashley wanted coffee, Rick took her to Insomnia. Donna smirked and Phoebe's jaw dropped when Rick strolled in with the bombshell. Phoebe frostily noted that she'd been trying to reach him all night. Rick played it cool so as not to let on they are still an item. After Donna exchanged crossover inside jokes with Ashley and made her exit, Rick asked why Phoebe was hanging out with Donna. Phoebe explained that his aunt was being supportive of their relationship. Noting the awkwardness, Ashley announced she'd take her coffee to go. Alone, Rick told Phoebe that they have to keep their distance so that Ridge doesn't catch on.

Nick and Taylor's horizontal smooching on the sofa was interrupted when Jackie arrived with Hope. Jackie barely concealed a triumphant smile when Taylor told Nick that she was going to leave him to spend time with the little girl. Jackie beamed as her son lovingly showed Hope where Australia is on the globe. When Hope was out of the room, Nick chided his mom for the surprise visit, noting that it reminds him of how much he misses the little girl. Jackie launched into a spiel about how Nick belongs with Brooke.

Still lurking at Insomnia, Donna phoned Jackie to report that Phoebe and Rick are together. She observed as the two shared a long kiss.

As Ridge tried to talk to Phoebe, she likened his sour attitude about her relationship with Rick to the way Stephanie felt about his romance with Brooke. Their conversation quickly disintegrated and a frustrated Phoebe announced she was going to Insomnia. "Maybe I'll find somebody who'll actually listen to me," she huffed and stormed out.

At Insomnia, Donna and Jackie groused about Ridge's imperial rule over Brooke, Phoebe and Rick. "It's typical Ridge," sighed Jackie and remembered how happy her son was with Brooke. Stephanie unexpectedly approached their table. "Your darling Nick just may get his precious Brooke back," Stephanie announced and predicted that Ridge and Brooke's relationship would soon implode, thus paving the way for a Brooke/Nick reunion. After Stephanie left, Donna wasn't so sure Brooke would leave Ridge, but Jackie pointed out that a mother's love for her son is much stronger and that Brooke would ultimately choose Rick over Ridge. They observed a lonely Phoebe, who left a forlorn voicemail message for Rick."If we can arrange something, get Rick and Phoebe together, Ridge would go crazy," Jackie said gleefully and suggested that Donna befriend Phoebe. After Jackie conveniently left, Donna approached Phoebe and with her voice full of concern, advised the teen, "Take Rick and make him yours before you end up alone ... like me."

Rick spied Ashley dining alone at Café Russe and joined her for dinner. He asked what she thought about the contract Forrester Originals sent her and she admitted she had a lot to consider. Rick revealed that he had sent flowers to her father's funeral but Ashley didn't remember seeing a card from him. He admitted that he sent the bouquet anonymously. They reminisced about their time in Paris and agreed that L.A. is a "little too shiny." Rick assured Ashley that his squabble with Ridge will not affect her business with Forrester.

Monday, March 12, 2007
Ridge impressed on Phoebe that Rick was too old for her. "If Rick stops thinking about me, you're in serious trouble," Phoebe half-jokingly warned her dad. Ridge joined his parents for their meeting with Ashley. When Stephanie griped that Rick and Phoebe's relationship was "a powder keg," Brooke walked in and told Steph to be on her best behavior for Ashley so she doesn't walk in on a "hornet's nest."

Ashley explained to a surprised Rick that her job in Hong Kong wasn't what she expected so she decided to strike out on her her own. She assured Rick that if her presence made him uncomfortable that she could back out."I'm thrilled that my Mom has called on you to consult for us," he declared. Ash asked if there was anyone significant in his life and he said yes, but hinted that there was a lot of drama surrounding the relationship. Rick then escorted her to the family meeting where he announced to Brooke, Ridge, Eric, Stephanie and Phoebe that he had met Ash in Paris when they discussed a fragrance for Forrester International. Eric was enthusiastic about hiring Ashley and she said she looked forward to his job proposal.

Nick read in Eye On Fashion that "something or someone" could interrupt Brooke and Ridge's wedding. Jackie surmised that Rick and Phoebe's relationship must be causing a rift between Brooke and Ridge. Jackie encouraged her son to save Brooke from the Forresters. "I have found something with Taylor," he pointed out. Jackie reminded Nick that he could have so much more with Brooke but he told her that his time with Brooke "was over."

As Brooke prepared to go to Australia on business and asked Ridge to go with her. He explained that he needed to stay behind to watch Rick and Phoebe. Brooke warned that if he ever touched Rick again, Ridge would lose her "forever." Oops. Jackie was outside the door listening. Meanwhile, Ashley asked Rick if he would really be okay with her working at Forrester Originals and he said yes. Phoebe walked in and Ashley immediately observed their warm interaction. After Phoebe left, Ashley asked if Phoebe was his "complicated" romance and he admitted she was.
