In Australia, Brooke took in the sights after learning Taylor and Nick are engaged. Donna checked in with her sister and asked about the launch. Donna warned her not to get sucked into the Forrester family again, and that inviting Rick and Phoebe to come along to Australia with her and Ridge might not have been a good idea. On the plane, Ridge caught Phoebe staring at Rick. Rick told Ridge to quit dogging him. Brooke met them at the airport. Ridge warned the young lovebirds to steer clear of each other in Sydney, so he was not happy when Brooke sent Rick and Phoebe off together. Meanwhile, Ridge and Brooke went sightseeing around the harbor.

Donna asked Jackie to meet her at Insomnia. Bridget spotted them together and overheard them talking about Nick and Taylor being engaged. Jackie was stunned that Nick proposed to Taylor. Donna hoped Ridge would cross the line with Rick, this way Brooke would go back to Nick and dump Taylor. When Jackie ran off to talk to Nicky, Bridget joined her Aunt Donna. Bridget called her on trying to break up Ridge and her mother. "I am looking out for my own sister," Donna argued. "I really don't see how this is any of your business," Bridget snapped.

End of episode, Donna called Phoebe and urged her to make the most of her time alone with Rick; and Ridge told Brooke she's more beautiful in the southern hemisphere.

On bended knee, Nick proposed to Taylor and slipped the ring on her finger. Taylor accepted with a loving hug. Nick upped the ante further by asking Taylor to have his child — and asked for an answer ASAP. Taylor told Nick she had already been to a doctor to see if it was still possible to conceive because she knows how important it is for him to have a child. Taylor told him it would be an honor to have his child. When Nick was in the shower Taylor answered his cell phone. It was a call from Brooke, from Australia. Brooke got upset when she learned Taylor bought him a new boat, and that Nick proposed to her. Taylor handed the phone to Nick, then excused herself. Brooke offered Nick a tepid congratulations, then apologized and conceded that she was taken by surprise. Nick suggested that it's time for him to move on since she has. Brooke said goodbye then flashed back to their happy times together aboard the Marlin — as did Nick.

Brooke called Ridge from Australia with good news to report: there's tremendous buzz about their new fragrance line. Therefore Brooke asked Ridge to bring Phoebe with him down to Australia — as well as Rick. Ridge scoffed at the notion, but relented. He reluctantly informed Rick, who told him the plane leaves in an hour with or without him. Rick ran and told Phoebe the news before Ridge could break it to her. Ridge suggested they use the trip as a chance to reconnect as father/daughter. Phoebe got worried as Rick was nowhere to be found just she and Ridge buckled up on the Forrester jet, but Rick arrived in the nick of time, much to Ridge's dismay. Rick was happy when Ridge fell asleep on the plane, and both he and Phoebe looked forward to spending time together Down Under away from Ridge's watchful eye.

Stephanie told Taylor she would like to see Phoebe's parents reunited and her back in the Forrester fold. But Taylor wanted no parts of that. "I'm through with this family," she huffed. "I'm in love with Nick!" Stephanie was flabbergasted by her declaration, and warned Taylor that SHE is not the love of HIS life. "Nick is wrong for you," Stephanie insisted, and warned Taylor that he has never put Brooke behind him. Stephanie asked Taylor to follow the same advice she gave Phoebe and take her time with this relationship.

Nick flashed back to that fateful night when the Marlin was struck by the tanker and he rescued a drowning Taylor. Jackie arrived and interrupted his flashbacks. Nick commented on how eventful his life has been lately and wondered if he missed out on anything amidst all the drama. Jackie reassured her son that things would calm down, then proceeded to caution Nick to go slowly with Taylor. Jackie tried to connect the dots between Rick and Phoebe's budding relationship and Brooke returning to Nick, should Brooke and Ridge's relationship go bust because of their kids. "Your days with Brooke were the happiest days of your life!" Jackie asserted. "But they're OVER," retorted Nick, who got a phone call from Taylor, asking if he was ready for their "special evening." With that, the chauffeur Taylor sent to pick up Nick arrived. Stephanie arrived and agreed with Jackie that Brooke belongs back with her son. Jackie noted how surreal it was that the two of them actually agree on something. Stephanie showed Jackie the book she found on Taylor's shelf to underscore the need for their mutual concern, and then asked Jackie where Nick and Taylor were so they could stop them before it was too late. Stephanie hounded Jackie into realizing the ramifications of letting Nick and Taylor's relationship continue on its present course. Jackie finally relented and told Stephanie of the special evening Taylor had planned. Meanwhile, Taylor took Nick to his big surprise — a new boat, same make and model as the Marlin. Nick was bowled over by Taylor's thoughtfulness, and pulled her into a passionate embrace. After kissing for a bit, Nick shocked Taylor by getting down on bended knee to propose to her.

An incensed Ridge ordered Phoebe to get out of Rick's lap. Phoebe insisted she was merely giving Rick a haircut. Ridge ordered Rick out and demanded to speak to Phoebe alone. Ridge insisted that Phoebe broke their agreement and declared that Rick and Phoebe can't work together so he decided to fire Phoebe. Rick dismissed Ridge's assertion and said that Phoebe was too integral to the operations of the company. Rick questioned whether Eric or Stephanie would condone disrupting business operations that way. Ridge became incensed while Rick backed him into a (business) corner. Taylor asked Rick to take a walk to defuse the situation. Once he was gone, Phoebe and Ridge argued over the appropriateness of what happened. Phoebe turned to Taylor for her opinion. Taylor declared that Rick and Phoebe were engaging in foreplay, not merely a haircut. Phoebe insisted she and Rick are not having sex. Ridge insisted on firing Phoebe but Taylor interceded and convinced Ridge to relent. Stephanie arrived on the scene and declared that none of this would ever have happened if Brooke had intervened like she was supposed to, therefore in her mind Ridge and Brooke shouldn't get married. Ridge insisted the wedding was still on, while Taylor tried to tell both of them if they push Phoebe too hard it will backfire. Stephanie tried to persuade Ridge to cancel his upcoming trip to Australia. Ridge insisted he needs to go and asked Stephanie to keep an eye on Phoebe and Rick while he's gone.

Stephanie was delighted to hear from Ashley that she's accepted their offer to work for them. Stephanie and Ashley discussed the Rick and Phoebe situation. Ashley suggested that if everyone gives Rick and Phoebe some time things will resolve themselves. Stephanie pumped Ashley about Rick and what kind of guy he was back when she knew him in Europe. Ashley asked Stephanie if the tension from the Rick and Phoebe situation was going to spill over into Forrester's business plans, but Stephanie insisted things were in check. Ashley got a call from Traci, who asked her how everything was going. Ashley insisted everything was going well, but Traci expressed some concerns about her, and asked Ashley if her abrupt move had anything to do with the loss of their father. Ashley insisted that she was okay. Traci offered to be there for her anytime, day or night. Ashley invited her to fly out to L.A. so they could spend some quality time together. Later, Ashley told Rick she formally accepted the Forrester job offer. Ashley admitted she wasn't too keen on Rick's new 'do, but promised it would grow on her. Rick told her of the blow out over his haircut. Ashley suggested if there's no possibility for a positive outcome with Phoebe then maybe he should call it quits with her. Rick said he can't and won't break up with Phoebe. Ashley was shocked to learn that Rick and Phoebe have yet to consummate their relationship, and even MORE shocked to learn that he hasn't had sex since the last time he was with her. Phoebe entered and asked if she was interrupting anything. Phoebe asked Rick if they could speak in private. Phoebe told Rick she wants to see him privately again tonight while her father is en route to Australia...

Nick apologized to Brooke for barging in on them with Hope. Taylor said it was OK, but expressed concern that Jackie is hell-bent on reuniting him with Brooke. Nick reassured Taylor to not take what Jackie said too seriously. Nick offered to "drive the point home" by locking his office and making out with her on his sofa. Nick was interrupted by his intercom — he had forgotten about a lunch appointment he couldn't cancel. The two dressed each other, but not before smooching some more.

Rick and Phoebe were hard at work on the wedding guest list and seating arrangements when Ridge asked Phoebe to fetch something from his office. An annoyed Phoebe told Ridge she's busy and asked him why he doesn't just work out of his own office. Ridge agreed and left the two of them alone to work on the VIP list. Rattled by the insecurities Donna had inflamed the night before, Phoebe asked Rick if she's going to drop off his VIP list. Rick reassured her that just because they're not being physically intimate now doesn't mean that he's going to look elsewhere. Phoebe thanked him for that reassurance, but said she's more worried about their emotional closeness and that it might dissipate as time goes on. Rick offered to give Phoebe whatever reassurances she needs. Phoebe took a seat in Rick's lap and told him to take his shirt off. Taylor came to Thorne's office to take Phoebe to lunch. Ridge explained how he's giving Phoebe and Rick some space in the other room. Taylor complimented Ridge on his restraint. The two of them decided to wait for Phoebe and Rick. But as time ticked on both of them became curious, and nervous, about what might be happening. Taylor asked Ridge how long they've been together. Taylor tried calling Phoebe on her cell but it was switched off. Ridge and Taylor decided it was finally time to check on Rick and Phoebe. Meanwhile, inside their office, Rick allowed Phoebe to cut his hair. Phoebe straddled him and got to work with the scissors and squirt bottle. Taylor and Ridge approached the door...Taylor checked the knob. It wasn't locked. Ridge and Taylor pressed their ears against the door. Hearing music inside, Ridge declared that there can't be any work going on in there. With that, Ridge and Taylor burst in, only to see the backside of Phoebe straddling a shirtless Rick in his chair. "What the hell?!" Ridge exclaimed.

Donna was skeptical of Jackie's plan to set up Rick and Phoebe to be discovered by Ridge to break up Ridge and Brooke. Jackie accused Donna of being selfish in her motives, but Donna denied it. Jackie expressed how hard it is for her to see how much pain Nick is in for being without Brooke. Donna wondered if they cant just let nature take its course with Ridge and Brooke. Jackie said they "can't rely on nature to take Ridge into its confidence." Jackie finally persuaded Donna to go along with her plans "and get their hands a little dirty if they have to." When Nick returned home Donna left to return to work. Jackie went to follow her back to the office but Nick confronted her about trying to sabotage his relationship with Brooke. Nick insisted if Ridge and Brooke broke up he'd be happy for Brooke to be rid of Ridge and the Forresters but he'd have no interest in Brooke. Jackie expressed her doubts. Nick said there's a difference between available and really available, and reminded Jackie of how Brooke was forever preoccupied with Ridge the last time she was with Nick. Nick declared he wants no parts of that again. "But what if she's really available this time?" quizzed Jackie. "I'll believe that when I see it," concluded Nick, while Jackie displayed a mischievous glint in her eye.
