Stephanie returned with the kids and interrupted Ridge and Ashley. "This isn't a good time," growled Ridge, but Mom scoffed at his protests and announced that Eric was right behind her, ready to barbecue for everyone. Out on the patio, Stephanie huddled with Ridge and pointed out the many times Eric hurt her, pointing out that she always forgave him. Ridge got the hint that he should do the same with Ashley. Later Hope and R.J. wanted to go home to their mom; Steph convinced them to stay put because Ally was spending the night. Ridge asked to speak to Ashley alone and they met in his bedroom. Ridge confessed that he didn't want to lose Ashley, who warned that if they make up, she's "playing for keeps." They passionately kissed and fell onto the bed. Outside, Stephanie was thrilled to see the light in Ridge's room go off.

Brooke got melancholy as she and Donna watched a video that Nick recorded of Hope and R.J. playing pirates. Donna revealed that she saw the kids earlier at the beach. Brooke wanted to know if they asked about her, but Donna couldn't say they did. Brooke hoped that her therapy sessions will help to have custody of her children returned to her soon. Donna announced that she had a date and scurried out. Brooke re-watched the video and started crying.

Thorne was surprised when Donna showed on his doorstep for their date. "I thought I was supposed to pick you up," he declared but when he shared that they were going to Cafe Russe, Donna wanted to keep a low profile. Thorne suggested that he make dinner at his place and she agreed. In observance of Darla, Ally had put out a few special mementoes of her mommy, which included her diamond ring. When Thorne went into the kitchen, Donna tried it on. Later, while they dined, Thorne searched for his anti-anxiety pills. He was surprised when Donna held them up and shared her concern that he could get addicted. Thorne admitted his difficulty in getting over Darla's death. "You don't need the pills to take the pain away," Donna purred. "I've got something better." She proceeded to unbutton his shirt and, as Stephanie's sins committed against the Logans echoed in her head, Donna vowed to become the next Mrs. Thorne Forrester.

Phoebe was surprised to find her dad working at home and surmised that he was avoiding Ashley. Ridge admitted he couldn't get past her secret affair with Rick. The teen urged Ridge not to break up with Ashley just because Rick broke Phoebe's heart.

"I don't know how to fix things with your son," Ashley lamented to Stephanie, who offered to talk to Ridge. Ash politely requested that Steph butt out, but La Forrester headed right over to Ridge's house to rally for Ashley. "I think she's an exceptional young woman," Stephanie argued to her son, who was not in a forgiving mood. Mom advised him to find a way to "forgive this indiscretion" or else he could be ruining a chance for true happiness. After Stephanie left, Ashley showed up and was surprised when Ridge tried to get her to agree to a severance package. Instead of rolling over, Ashley pointed out that Ridge wasn't being reasonable. "Can't you look past my mistake?" she asked. "Please forgive me." Ridge seemed to soften.

Constantine distributed flyers about the upcoming concert, while asking everyone to vote for him and Phoebe. His singing partner showed up and was impressed by his heartfelt campaigning. Rick appeared and started stumping for votes by passing out T-shirts. It wasn't long until the guys were sniping at each other's "shameless" actions so Phoebe had to tell them to knock it off. Rick then warned Phoebe that he was going to do everything in his power to win her back. Constantine scoffed when a plane flew overhead towing a banner that encouraged votes for Rick and Phoebe.

During a meeting with Jackie at Bikini Beach, Donna blamed Brooke's woes on Stephanie. "If there is any justice in the world, she'll get hers," seethed Donna. Jackie was surprised when Donna admitted to helping a drunk Thorne the night before. When Stephanie sat at a nearby table with Hope and R.J., Jackie successfully guessed that Donna was planning something against La Forrester. Donna went over and kissed her niece and nephew and when they left the table to watch the waitress make their smoothies, Donna demand to know why the kids were not with Ridge. Stephanie replied that her son was at work and told Donna to, "go back to your table and glare at me from over there." The gals were soon arguing about Brooke. Stephanie declared that Brooke's kids were in better care with the Forresters. Besides, Brooke will have time to go back to her "whoring ways." Donna attempted to slap Stephanie but the dowager grabbed her hand and ordered her never to try that again. "There's nothing you can do to ever hurt me," hissed Stephanie. After Donna walked away, Thorne called and asked for a chance to make things right with her. She agreed to meet him.

Brooke admitted to Rick that she didn't think it was "the best thing" for him to be together with Phoebe. Rick agreed he was an idiot for hurting her by sleeping with Ashley, but he was determined to make up with Phoebe.

Constantine showed off his new Web site to Phoebe and explained how people will be able to vote on the best duet (Constantine and Phoebe or Rick and Phoebe) and the winners will sing at the charity concert on live TV. Phoebe grew upset over the prospect that she would have to perform a love song with Rick, but Constantine convinced her that she had the strength to do so.

At Forrester Originals, Rick cornered Phoebe and was glad to hear that she would still perform with him. He also stressed that every vote for their song would really be "a vote for us."

When Thorne showed up at Bikini Beach (thankfully, Mom had already split), Jackie warned Donna to be careful. "The less you know the better," Donna cooed and met with Thorne, who asked her to dinner. Donna agreed and was surprised when he kissed her.

As a forlorn Phoebe pored over photos of her and Rick, he called and begged to see her. She told him not to call anymore and hung up. Rick then asked Bridget if he could use her cell so Phoebe won't know it's him calling. Bridget was shocked to learn that Rick confessed his affair with Ashley to Phoebe. "You may have just lost her," Bridget pointed out but Rick refused to believe that possibility and headed out to Ridge's house without calling.

Ashley informed Stephanie that she and Ridge were through. Ash confessed her relationship with Rick to a surprised Stephanie. "I can understand why Ridge would be taken aback," agreed Steph, but didn't know why her son would be so unforgiving. That's when Ashley admitted a recent one-night stand in Mexico with Rick that happened long before she started seeing Ridge. Ashley announced she was quitting her job to which Stephanie scoffed, "You're just babbling... it's not over." Steph urged Ashley to fight for Ridge and the women embraced.

Ridge called Taylor and Brooke over to his house so he could share the news of Ashley and Rick's past. Taylor became upset over Phoebe's broken heart and Ridge wanted to make sure that their daughter didn't grant Rick a second chance. "It's up to us to make sure he doesn't get one," Ridge declared, but Brooke said they should hear Rick's side of the story. Right on cue, Rick burst into the door and assured them that he and Ashley were over. Ridge didn't want him anywhere near Phoebe; Taylor agreed. Phoebe overheard Rick give an impassioned speech to her parents and Brooke that when you find "what you truly want, you have to do everything in your power to make it work." Phoebe revealed herself and Rick asked for the opportunity to "take the pain away," but Phoebe told Rick "it's over." She kissed him, then scampered upstairs.

Phoebe ignored Rick's calls but listened to one of his heartfelt voice mails, begging for her forgiveness. Phoebe showed up at Constantine's studio, where she met his new artist, Lil' Keesha. He then explained that his investors wanted to have another sing-off concert, between the duos of Rick and Phoebe and Constantine and Phoebe. Lil' Keesha sang a romantic ballad that reminded Phoebe of Rick so she answered his next call, only to order him to stop calling.

Brooke got peeved when Stephanie wouldn't allow her to see her children. As they sparred, Stephanie told Brooke to pass along some advice to Donna. "If you want your children back you'll tell her to stay the hell away from me and my family," Steph spat.

Thorne was stunned to wake up next to Donna. She pretended to be crushed when he couldn't remember that they had sex. "You were just using me," she cried with crocodile tears and started to dash out of his bedroom. Thorne stopped her and surmised that they must have connected on some level if they wound up in bed together. "It was something we both needed," Donna happily cooed. While he was in the shower, Brooke called Donna and asked her sister not to antagonize Stephanie. When Thorne called out from the shower, a surprised Brooke asked who was with Donna. She told Brooke it wasn't a good time to talk and hastily hung up. After Thorne emerged from the shower, Stephanie called to check up on him. He assured Mom that everything was okay and hung up. Donna continued to pout and Thorne asked her not to leave.

Ashley explained to Ridge how she and Rick recently had a one-nighter in Mexico while he was separated from Phoebe. "They weren't together, Ridge," Ashley reminded. "It wasn't an affair." Ridge pointed out that it was obvious that Rick meant a lot to her that she was willing to admit. Ash acknowledged that she and Rick shared something special but Ridge refused to understand her perspective. "What about Phoebe?" Ridge wondered. "She considered you a friend." Ridge was taken aback when Ashley confessed that she had fallen in love with him, but when he didn't respond, she tearfully walked away and he didn't stop her.
