B&B Recaps Week of August 6, 2007

Thorne expressed his dismay to Phoebe for hiding the Boldface Challenge from him. He cautioned that singing with Rick is sending him the wrong signals. Phoebe told Ridge she's conflicted about Rick but trying to be fair. Ashley arrived, and Ridge and Ashley explained that Ashley apologized and Ridge accepted her apology, so they're back together again. Phoebe questioned Ridge's double standard: "So it's OK for you to forgive Ashley, it's just not OK for me to forgive Rick?" she challenged. Ridge called Rick a loser. Phoebe asked Ashley if she thinks Rick is a loser. Ashley said no, she doesn't think so, but added she didn't feel comfortable being a part of that conversation and excused herself to go to work. Phoebe said she doesn't have a problem with him continuing to see Ashley but she wished he didn't have a problem with her seeing Rick if she chooses.

Rick got psyched up for the singing contest. Bridget wished him well as she left to check on Brooke. Rick signed online and cast another vote. Ashley paid Rick a visit and told him that Ridge forgave her. Ashley's news encouraged Rick that Phoebe might forgive him, too.

Thorne and Donna returned to town, and she managed to quickly seduce him so they raced into bed. Afterward they lounged in the sun and ate strawberries and cream. Donna suggested that they take Aly back to Vegas with them and get married ASAP. Thorne asked her if she wanted a flashy wedding instead of eloping because she's never been married before, but Donna said no. Thorne said he'd think about it, while Donna kept turning on the charm. Eric and Stephanie prepared to take Aly home. Stephanie was eager to meet the "new girl" Thorne is seeing. When they arrived Stephanie saw a woman's piece of clothing on the floor of Thorne's living room and had Eric take Aly outside to the beach. Thorne was shocked to run into Stephanie in the living room. Stephanie said Aly wanted to surprise Thorne with a welcome home party, and added that she'd be interested in meeting the new woman in his life. Thorne hedged and tried to get Stephanie to leave but Donna sauntered out in her negligee looking for him and shocked Stephanie. "This is who you went away with?" Stephanie asked in disbelief as Donna smirked. Stephanie accused Donna of using Thorne to make good on her threats of revenge. She berated Donna with a rash of insults, then threw her stuff out the door and grabbed Donna by the hair to throw her out of Thorne's house. "Get your hands off my fiancée!" Thorne screamed to his astonished mother.

Stephanie and Eric had cocktail hour at home and caught up. Steph was on cloud nine to be through with the Logans (not quite...), but Eric was "wary" about Brooke designing for the competition. "Even you have to admit, she's a very savvy girl," he offered and Steph agreed, but she countered that Brooke had never designed. He reminded Steph that Brooke "hates to lose, especially to you." Then Stephanie got a surprise visit from Tony, who was curious why Stephanie had talked Brooke up to him earlier. He'd figured out he was supposed to be a diversion for Steph's nemesis and revealed he'd done his research about Brooke's drama, but he was still interested in her.

Nick showed up at Brooke's and asked after her singing lovebirds. She was embarrassed when he said the "secret admirer" gift wasn't from him. She bemoaned being alone, but then apologized for "dumping" on him. He pishawed that, so she asked him to hold her. After he did, he tried to blame Brooke's problems on Stephanie, but Brooke insisted the blame was her own. He convinced her to call and check on the kids, but Stephanie wouldn't let Brooke talk to them, lying that they were asleep. She warned that Brooke would up in jail if she came by the house.

Caught in Donna's manipulations, Thorne was intent on marrying her. Needless to say, she accepted. He asked her to be sure she was up for the challenge of being a stepmother to Alexandra, "a little girl who's lost her mom." She gave him all the right answers, balancing her love for Ally with her respect for Darla. After Donna finally gave Thorne a hot Vegas romp, he had a jeweler sent up to their room with engagement rings AND wedding bands. Donna played it coy, but Thorne picked out a doozy and made her keep it. He proposed again, on one knee this time, and slipped it on her finger. Donna had big celebration plans, but then Stephanie called. She apologized to Thorne, but immediately started her Logan-bashing, so he got off the phone. Then Donna excitedly told him about a 24-hour chapel she'd seen, but he revealed he expected they'd take things slower. "Oh, I see how it is," she said, and accused him of proposing so she'd have sex with him. Then she shot that his new hesitation was because of his mother's call and that got him worked up. He explained it was about Ally and promised they'd become a family. She brought Stephanie up again, but he said, "I choose you."

Taylor and Nick cooed over the ultrasound image of their baby. Nick was confident he spied boy parts, but Bridget explained the baby was facing the wrong way. "Baby Marone is being private about his or her private parts," she quipped. Then bumbling Carl interrupted and dropped some supplies. He listened in as Nick asked about doing an amnio. When Nick retracted, saying they didn't need it since it was a young woman's donor egg, Carl coughed meaningfully. Bridget agreed to run the test just in case and excused herself and Carl. Before leaving, Carl started to say, "Since they're both here, don't you think—" Bridget interrupted, but Nick and Taylor both thought it was weird. Outside, Bridget and Carl argued, because Bridget was sure the donor wasn't her mother and wanted him to drop it.

Stephanie continued to talk Brooke up to Andy, the sleazy guy who spilled his drink on Brooke a few weeks ago. She insisted he look Brooke up and that they'd be great together, but Andy was worried he'd freak her out by calling out of the blue. She suggested he send something as an apology for the spilled drink. They toasted the idea and Stephanie excused herself. Then she went to see Taylor about Thorne. Taylor rolled her eyes over Stephanie's performance on TV and asked why she couldn't leave Brooke alone. "It's like aggravating a rattlesnake," Taylor gasped. "Why do you want to torment her?" Steph defended herself, saying she'd spoke the truth and that it was child services and the courts that took the kids. "It all depends on Brooke, doesn't it? If she can keep her clothes on?" Stephanie laughed. ""Knowing her libido, it will be a great big if." She was sure a new man would put Brooke's kids off her priority list.

In Las Vegas, Donna called Brooke and promised Stephanie would regret messing with her. She hung up to toast champagne with Thorne, who asked if she had changed her mind about wanting to be there with him. She teared up and explained she realized, "This is all it's ever going to be, sneaking around so your family doesn't find out." She insisted that wasn't enough for her and worried after his mother. "You cross her, and you will pay the price, like my sister did," she cried. "Stephanie has taken away her children and she'll take you away from me too." She worked the Logan and Forrester thing — or should we say the Romeo and Juliet thing — and talked about how great she felt with him. He insisted they were good together and that, "We deserve happiness." Donna worried what it would do to Alexandra when she lost another mother figure, but he swore no one would push Donna from his life. He talked about how she helped him move on. She refused to make love, as badly as she wanted it. "There is another way," he said to stop her from leaving. He proposed!

Nick checked in on Brooke, who was sad in her empty home. Later, as she about to go up to bed, a package was delivered. She figured it was from work and buzzed the delivery in. The delivery guy made small talk about her great place and her kids, who he noticed in pictures. She said they were everything to her and he excused himself. She opened the box from a "secret admirer" and smiled at the gift, while the delivery guy secretly watched from the door.

Thorne sat out back and recalled his sexy hookup with Donna until his mom called. She wanted him to come over, but he refused, explaining he was going out of town. Meanwhile, Donna told Jackie about the Vegas getaway she'd planned, smiling that you "never know what can happen in Vegas." She swore she could make Thorne happy and that she'd be happy with him, going to Forrester dinners and watching Steph boil. Nick interrupted to call his mom in for a spin control meeting over the Rich Ginger Show, but Donna was set on her own revenge. She and Thorne made lots of big plans in Vegas, but never left the room. Donna cut things off just as they got warmed up, however.

Brooke found Nick raving to a reporter about being proud to have her on the payroll and also lauded her promotion to designer. He couldn't believe Stephanie hadn't learned after the last time she'd crossed him. When Brooke said she had a visitation with the kids, he gave her a few gifts for them. Then Taylor surprised him with a visit and mini-make out session. He cooed over their growing boy — or girl. That was followed by a conversation about Stephanie's machinations and Brooke getting it together nonetheless.

Ridge sent the kids to get cleaned up for Brooke and then told his mom she'd gone too far on the TV show. She insisted she wanted "the kids raised in a stable home." He said Brooke could provide that, but Steph was thinking of him and Ashley. "She's getting control of herself," he insisted, but Steph countered that Brooke is most dangerous when she's single. Brooke arrived and Ridge seemed as pleased to see her as the kids did. No one noticed when Stephanie left. Ridge excused himself, but Brooke suggested they all do something together. While the kids went to find a game, she asked about Ashley and he revealed he'd forgiven her. He wondered if she was seeing anyone, but she said her focus was on the kids and she was off the market. She added that her "self-esteem has taken a beating lately. I can't imagine what kind of man would want to date me right now." Before she left, Ridge offered to step in to help her get the kids back, but Brooke said she had to play by the rules. She begged him to stop his mother from destroying her.

Stephanie arrived at dinner and heard someone named Andy Johnson, a local lawyer, was at the bar. Instead of looking at the menu, she introduced herself saying they had a mutual friend — Brooke Logan. She was not happy to hear Brooke's story that Andy had spilled a drink on her was true all along. Still, she encouraged Andy he was just the type of guy Brooke needed.

At Forrester Originals, Felicia and Eric were excited to watch Phoebe and Stephanie's appearance on the Rich Ginger show. They tuned in with Ridge and Ashley. At Forrester Creations, Clarke reminded Brooke and Jackie of Stephanie's appearance, and they turned on their TV as well. Thorne told Donna that Alexandra is crazy about her, "and so is her father." Thorne told Donna how he would never forget about last night. Eric called to remind him of Stephanie's appearance, so he and Donna turned on the TV. Stephanie used the appearance to clear up public confusion between the two companies while also taking a jab at Brooke, while Phoebe announced the Boldface singing competition. Stephanie's comments enraged Brooke and Donna, as Stephanie used the opportunity to sling mud at them and evoke laugher from the audience at their expense. Donna's anger and sadness evoked Thorne's sympathy. He promised to confront Stephanie, and stormed out "to take care of this once and for all." Meanwhile, Donna rushed to confront a tearful Brooke, and reassured her big sis, "If you can't fight Stephanie, I will." Stephanie returned to the Originals office to get panned for her "performance" by Eric and Ridge. An irate Thorne stormed in and yelled at Stephanie to leave Donna and Brooke alone. Stephanie was a bit taken aback by Thorne's stance but remained undaunted, telling Thorne that Brooke and Donna can take care of themselves — and that they don't care a "flying fig" about him or the Forresters.

Thorne asked to speak to his mother privately. Stephanie accused Thorne of expressing misplaced anger about Darla, and called him on his drinking and recent behavior towards Taylor. Thorne dismissed her and became enraged by how hateful Stephanie is towards Brooke and Donna. Stephanie wouldn't back down, and the anger escalated between them before Stephanie stormed out. An exasperated Thorne called Donna and told him he needs to get away ASAP. He suggested a B&B (no pun intended!) up the coast in Santa Barbara, and Donna offered to make all the arrangements. Donna reassured Brooke not to lose faith, but Brooke explained how helpless she feels. Donna vowed that Stephanie will regret messing with them, as she perused Las Vegas wedding chapels on the Internet.
