"You're firing the Forresters?" asked a stunned reporter. Donna explained that she had power of attorney and would be running the company to protect Eric's best interests. "You're out of your mind," Felicia charged! Donna revealed that Brooke would be helping her out. The press was escorted out and Ridge warned his stepmom to reconsider, but Donna wouldn't back down.

Pam was shocked when Ridge, Thorne and Felicia filed by her desk and announced they were fired. Pam burst into Eric's office and raged at Donna for kicking out Eric's kids. Donna said she wasn't going to fire Pam since she knows that's not what Eric would want but sent Pam to work downstairs. "You're no longer needed on the executive floor," Donna ordered and Pam stalked away. Brooke tried to reason with her sister but Donna was confident that she and Brooke can run Forrester together. Brooke made an impassioned plea and asked Donna to at least think about telling Ridge that she made a mistake. Donna said she would think about it but after Brooke exited, Owen told a doubting Donna that she is surrounded by enough able-body people to help her run Forrester.

At Brooke's house, Ridge, Thorne and Felicia commiserated about their sudden unemployment status. Ridge scolded his sister for her deal with Owen. "Now we're out, Donna's in," Ridge groused. "God help us all." Felicia was still convinced that Owen had feelings for Donna but Ridge hoped that Brooke would be able to convince Donna to reinstate them. Ridge stormed out and Brooke called Thorne with the news that Donna may change her mind. But once Brooke returned to Eric's office, Donna announced that her decision is final. She begged for Brooke's help with the company but big sister walked out. Owen rhapsodized about Donna's qualities, then suddenly kissed her. She pulled away and fled.
