Beth began therapy with Taylor and talked about her possible depression. She thought her problems stemmed from her mini-strokes and her health. "Depression never crossed my mind," she said. "You still sound very fearful," Taylor observed. Beth explained that being in Paris alone made things less painful. "When I was alone, it was easy to convince myself I could just quietly disappear," she said. Taylor told her that depression and dementia have many of the same qualities. "There is a lot of hope," Taylor encouraged. Beth admitted the medication and therapy was helping her "feel a bit like my old self." Taylor suggested keeping a positive attitude and staying in tune with her body. "One in 10 people have depression," Taylor let her patient know. "It can drive them to do things they wouldn't ordinarily do." Beth was still surprised to think that she was depressed. Taylor explained there are many different kinds of depression and that she as a therapist enjoys helping people get out of the darkness.

Katie talked to the ghost of Storm, who appeared to come out of the water. Storm — would he be a merman? — invited her in for a swim. Katie crept to the edge of the boat and looked as if she was ready to jump to her dead brother. "You only have me," he said convincingly. She leapt into the water and immediately struggled. Storm reached for her hand and asked her if she really wanted to bring a child into this ugly world. GhostStorm disappeared. Katie swam underwater, trying to go after him. She reached for him and saw a frightening face.

Bridget tried to explain to Nick how Katie had appeared when she saw her at the hospital. Nick, of course, knew why Katie was acting weird — she's pregnant. Bridget suggested Katie might like spending more time with Jack. Nick didn't know what to say. Bridget showed Brooke a book she had read after she lost her baby. Brooke began reading aloud as viewers saw Katie swimming aimlessly through the dark water. Moments later we saw that Katie hadn't gone into the water at all. "Life is a miracle. Our child is a miracle," she said as she fell into Nick's arms. Katie vowed to Nick that she will love this child and she "will love life." They agreed that they would get through this somehow.

Brooke asked Bridget to explain to Ridge what was going on Eric, specifically what would happen if Eric never awoke from his coma. Changing gears, she also hoped that Nick would get baby Jack christened right away. "That will be good for all of us," she thought.
