At Forrester Creations, Eric confronted Ridge about engineering a takeover while he was in a coma. Ridge countered that his father shouldn't have given Donna power of attorney in the first place, but Eric responded that he did it to keep Ridge in check. As the argument escalated, Eric charged that Ridge seems to think Forrester is all about him, forgetting his brother and sisters. Ridge sniped that Rick had really gotten to Eric. The patriarch said that he'd be the one to decide who eventually runs the company when he steps down. Ridge insisted that he's the rightful heir and stormed out.

Taylor and Stephanie shared a cozy chat. Stephanie assured Taylor that she has a shot with Ridge.

After pressuring Brooke some more about dumping Ridge, Rick took some alone time to get out of bed. He noted to himself that he hated pretending to be paralyzed, but at least it got everyone's "attention." There was a knock at the door, so Rick hustled back to bed before admitting Eric. When his dad brought paperwork from the office, Rick huffed that he doesn't want anything to do with Forrester while Ridge is at the company. Eric refused to let Rick resign. Eric noted how much Rick loves the company and shares his own vision. Rick said that he'd like to work closer with Eric and urged him not to retire soon, then he started talking smack about how Ridge better not be trying to force his dad out of the company.

Ridge went over to Brooke's place and found her looking glum. Ridge wanted to get smoochy and talk about their relationship, but Brooke seemed torn. He turned up the passion, assuring Brooke that he needs her. Cue the sexy sax music and lingering shots of intertwined limbs. A lot of kissing, flailing and such happened.

Back in Rick's room, he argued that Ridge doesn't respect Eric or his talent and declared that if Ridge took over, he'd kill the company — and Eric. Rick's charges against Ridge got more heated, he even remarked that Ridge isn't his "real" son. Eric protested that Ridge would never hurt him. Rick dropped a bomb, telling his dad that Ridge pulled the respirator while Eric was in the coma. "I'm telling you the truth, Ridge tried to kill you," Rick said.
