Taylor read about Stephanie's departure from Forrester Creations in the trade press, as did Eric. He acknowledged to Donna that Steph's firing has caused a ruckus in the fashion world.

Stephanie joked with Taylor about putting out a hit on the entire Logan family. She also refused to acknowledge Nick's job offer with Jackie M as a legitimate venue to pursue. Taylor offered to take Stephanie to lunch to get her mind off things.

Nick got a call from a French investor who heard from Stephanie that Jackie M was floundering and needed cash. Nick offered to send him copies of their new designs in order to be bankrolled. The Frenchman said he looked forward to seeing them. After he hung up, Nick told Jackie that, "The old broad came through for us!" Nick was thrilled, while Jackie was bewildered.

At lunch, Stephanie admitted to Taylor that she was feeling lost since being fired. Just then, Steph spotted Eric and Donna canoodling over lunch. Steph was horrified and wanted to leave but Taylor convinced her to stand strong and not let Donna win. Just then, Donna saw them, came over to the table and berated the women. When Donna called her "Grandma," Stephanie smiled and let Donna know that grandmas are a force to be reckoned with. After Donna went back to kiss Eric, Stephanie visited their table, saying, "Don't get Grandpa too excited." Stephanie sat down with Eric and recited all the mistakes he made over the course of their marriage. She vowed to do something great with her life ‹ without him and without his help. "I am Stephanie, the woman who can do anything she sets her mind to," Steph grinned.

Jackie confided in Owen about Stephanie's assistance. They both wondered about her motives. Just then, Jackie got a text message from the French investor, who agreed to go into business with Jackie M. Jackie was elated, as was Owen. Jackie offered Owen the account. He was dumfounded but took the job. In the heat of the moment, they kissed.
