DAYS Recaps Week of Nov. 28, 2005Friday, December 2, 2005 Austin and Nicole talked about their takeover idea for Highstyle. Sami maintained it would be a huge mistake for the company. Austin wondered why Sami was so against it and she flashbacked on telling Lucas about their pursuit of Highstyle. Sami said their CEO sounded like an idiot and wasn't impressed with their products. Austin left for an appointment and he asked Sami to study up on the business. She had a daydream of testing their products on Nicole and Nicole melted after Sami poured a potion on her head. Austin called and asked Sami to look up where his appointment was in his planner. She dropped the planner and found a photo of Carrie and Austin, meaning Carrie was the woman Austin loved. Sami couldn't believe it and vowed to keep Carrie from Austin. At the Highstyle's offices in L.A., Lucas was stunned to see Carrie and they hugged. Carrie revealed that she is the new CEO of Highstyle and that she had left Israel for good and that she and Mike were over. She said there was pressure to have a perfect relationship with Mike and he worked so much that she eventually felt lonely and isolated. They both knew it was time to move on and are still friends. Lucas beat himself up for falling for Sami, but Carrie called Sami the stupid one and said she never learns from her mistakes. Carrie felt bad about what she did to Austin and said she couldn't go back to Salem because of Sami. Lucas said he was now working for Titan and Carrie told him her company isn't for sale. Lucas said he understood and he would never hurt Carrie. Carrie asked him about Austin. Lucas said Austin has a new company and that Sami is working for him. Carrie asked Lucas to not tell anyone he saw her.
Jennifer told Bo, Hope and Frankie she was going back to the bridge to look for Jack and refused to believe he was dead. Jennifer noted she had been through this two times before (!) and won't believe Jack is dead until she sees his body. A sad Billie and Patrick arrived with the flowers Jack had gotten for Jennifer that were floating down the river and said their search for him was futile. Jennifer still refused to believe he was dead. Bo and Hope took off, and Billie revealed to Patrick that Jack almost killed himself before and maybe Jack staged this accident so he could disappear. Jennifer overheard her and said there was no way Jack would fake his death. Billie admitted that Jack was looking into suicide before, but Jennifer wouldn't believe it. Back at home, Bo and Hope tucked Zack in and were thankful for their family. Hope sensed Bo was keeping something from her....
Thursday, December 1, 2005 Lucas, who's preparing for his meeting with a High Style honcho, puts his work aside when Sami stops by to talk about Will's upcoming parent-teacher conference and grades. (Or so she says.) It doesn't take long for Sami to turn the conversation toward business and the fact that she hates working with Nicole. Lucas scolds Sami for joining Austin's company and says he only hired her because he felt sorry for her. Now she's stuck with Nicole. Sami cleverly goes off about Nicole, noting that she's ruining their company, and accidentally on purpose blurts out information about High Style. Sami leaves quite pleased with herself, hoping to sabotage Nicole's High Style proposal. Meanwhile, Lucas phones Victor about the information Sami just leaked. Anxious to meet with the High Style exec before Austin Reed and Co., Lucas jumps at the chance to take Victor's private jet to L.A. When Lucas arrives at their offices, he walks in and gasps, "Oh my God! It's you." Back at Sami's apartment, she and Nicole continue to go at it. Sami insists the High Style takeover is going to be a bust, and when it is Austin is going to wise up and can Nicole. Nicole wonders what Sami has done this time, but Sami plays it cool as a cucumber. At the hospital, it's the same old, same old. Philip stands over baby Claire's bedside, while Kate frets over the fact that Philip is not the child's father and that Shawn most likely is. When Philip tells Kate that Shawn is looking after Belle, now, she's not pleased. "You should be there, not Shawn. You're her husband," points out Kate. Philip says he needs to watch over Claire. Lexie wanders by and assures a worried Kate that Claire will be fine. Kate admits she doesn't think Philip could handle losing Claire; then, returns to her son's side as he watches over his daughter. Philip asks his mother if Claire looks like he did as a baby, and a teary-eyed Kate says she does. Philip laments over why his little girl is so sick. Kate promises that Claire will be fine and so will Philip, as she vows to do whatever she must to make sure Philip never learns Claire isn't his daughter. Jennifer and Abby refuse to believe that Jack is dead, even though Bo retrieved the license plate from his car at the bottom of the river. Jenn holds out hope that Jack survived, when Bo admits he never saw his body. Bo gets a call from the fire department. They're at the accident scene with equipment. They're going to try to find the car and raise it from the river. Bo needs to get back there. Jenn and Abby insist on tagging along, so they all head to the bridge. Jenn and Abby are both hysterical, and Frankie and Hope do their best to comfort them. Finally, Jack's car is raised from the river, and Bo opens the door, but it's empty. "Where is he? Where's my husband?" screams Jenn.
Wednesday, November 30, 2005 At the hospital, Kate mutters to herself about the fact that Shawn must be Claire's real father and wonders how Belle could do this to Philip. Philip misunderstands Mommy Dearest and thinks she's blaming Belle for Claire's illness. He laces into Kate and defends his wife. Later, Philip mentions Belle and Shawn's vow of purity and how they never had sex. Philip, in fact, was the first man Belle was ever with. Kate's perplexed. When Philip leaves, Kate realizes Shawn can't be Claire's daddy. That is, unless Belle lied to Philip. Kate heads to the empty office she found earlier, sits at the computerm and peruses Shawn's records. When Kate sees his blood type, she's shocked. It's compatible with Claire's. Kate's sure Belle lied and Shawn is Claire's daddy. Belle freaks out on John and Marlena, when she hears them talking about breaking up. The poor dear can't handle this on top of Claire's illness. Marlena explains the convoluted story of being wed to Alex decades before she even knew John and the fact that they're STILL husband and wife. Marlena tries to compare it to Belle's situation with Shawn and Philip. Belle doesn't see the similarity. Marlena reminds Belle how she called out for Shawn during her labor with Claire. Belle insists she loves Philip. Then, she begs her mother not to leave John for Alex. Soon, Shawn and Mimi arrive. Alone with Philip, Mimi fills him in on how close she and Shawn have become. Translation: they had sex. Philip couldn't be happier. John is thrilled when he overhears Alex booking a plane ticket out of Salem, but it doesn't last long. When Alex goes to say goodbye to Marlena, she tells him not to leave. She's chosen him. Alex can't believe his ears. (Neither can John!) Alex embraces Marlena, thrilled that they can finally realize their dream of a future together. A teary-eyed John vows that's not going to happen. In the river, Bo loses his oxygen feed when he tries to free his foot from the debris in the water. Up on the bridge, Hope and Billie worry about him. Patrick changes into a wetsuit and dives in after Bo. He finds Bo, feeds him some oxygen, and helps set him free. The two men finally surface, much to Hope and Billie's relief. Bo's carrying the license plate from Jack's car. Bo says there's no way Jack could have survived. The water's ice cold and the strong current would have swept him away. Chelsea arrives at the Deveraux house and tries to reassure Abby that her dad will be fine. Meanwhile, Jennifer continues asking Frankie if he knows anything about the missing Jack. Frankie says he couldn't find Jack and doesn't breathe a word about the accident on the bridge. Jennifer decides to remain positive and coaxes everyone into helping her put up decorations for the party, tomorrow. Soon, Bo, Hope, Billie and Patrick arrive at the door and stand there, silently. Bo announces they have bad news. Hope holds Jennifer, as she bursts into tears.
Tuesday, November 29, 2005 Victor congratulates Lucas on snagging Clear Visage away from Austin. Nicole barges in and informs Victor about Lucas' blackmail tactics. However, Victor approves, calling it "playing hardball." When Nicole leaves, Lucas tells Victor about another company he's interested in acquiring, High Style. Victor is all for it. Then, Victor warns Lucas about Sami. He wonders if Lucas will be able to separate Sami the mother of his child from Sami the business rival. "In business, it's war," assures Lucas, noting that "Sami, Austin and Nicole are the enemy." Nicole, who's been outside the door eavesdropping, returns to Sami's apartment and announces that she has what their company needs to get back in the game. She fills Austin in on Titan's plan to takeover High Style. If Austin Reed and Company uses their loan money to make a big cash bid, they might be able to land High Style. Sami doesn't want Austin to listen to Nicole, but Austin wants Nicole to work up a proposal. Philip comforts Belle, who feels guilty about not being there for Claire since she was born. Philip assures Belle their little girl knows her mom loves her. Philip professes his love for Belle and Claire and vows to protect them and keep them safe. John refuses to accept Marlena's decision to be with Alex and begs her to change her mind. He plays the children card, telling Marlena she cannot turn her back on her family. Marlena resents the accusation. She's there at the hospital for Belle, isn't she? Marlena insists she has no intention of neglecting her kids, but feels she must give her marriage to Alex a chance. "You're the love of my life," says John, pleading with Marlena to wait until she puts all the pieces of her past together before she makes such a major decision. Marlena refuses. It's not fair to Alex. Marlena says that she and John are done, just as Belle happens by. "Tell me that this isn't happening," gasps Belle. Kate, mutters that there's no way Philip is Claire's daddy, when she's interrupted by Alex saying he has bad news. It looks like his future won't be with Marlena and that he and Kate will be losing Marlena and John. Kate's too preoccupied to care. Alex excuses himself to make a plane reservation out of town, while Kate vows to keep Philip from finding out the truth about Claire. Frankie phones Hope to tell her about the accident he happened upon while looking for Jack. Meanwhile, Bo gets a call from the precinct, instructing him to report to the bridge. Billie and Patrick arrive at accident scene, followed by Bo and Hope. Frankie explains that Jack was driving in this direction and that the paint on the busted guardrail matches the color of his car. The police and EM teams arrive. Patrick wants to help, but Bo refuses to let him. A tape from a surveillance camera reveals that Jack's car skidded on the bridge. Hope suggests that Frankie leave to be with Jennifer and tell her what's going on. When Bo learns that a team of rescue divers are tied up on another emergency, he puts on a wet suit and prepares to search for Jack. Although Hope can't convince Bo to let Patrick dive with him, Bo does let Patrick handle his air hose. Bo dives into the water and examines the wreckage, when his foot gets stuck in the debris. On the bridge Hope worries that Bo has been in the river too long. Frantic about the missing Jack, Abby gets Jennifer to call the hospital. They're happy to learn Jack has not been admitted. Finally, Frankie returns, but doesn't breathe a word about the accident to Jennifer. He says he looked for Jack, but couldn't find him. Jennifer, however, senses something is terribly wrong.
Monday, November 28, 2005 Lexie tells Philip and a freaked-out Belle that she's waiting for test results on Claire's condition. The couple prepare to visit their ailing baby girl, while Lexie chats with John, who's worried about Marlena. John fills Lexie in on everything that's been going on with Alex and how Marlena wants a future with him. John, however, refuses to give up on Marlena. Philip and Belle update Kate on Claire's condition, while Kate hides the papers she swiped from the baby's file. When Belle goes to see Claire, Philip tells Kate how much he loves his wife and little girl and doesn't know what he would do without them. Later, Kate sneaks into an office, types some information into a computer, and gasps, "No!" Kate finds a medical student and asks him can an O positive daddy and an A negative mommy produce an AB negative baby? Impossible, says the student, leaving Kate to realize that Claire isn't Philip's child. Marlena tells Alex that she's decided whom she wants to spend the rest of her life with, and he suggests Marlena tell John, first. Meanwhile, Alex apologizes to Lexie for blackmailing her about Tek, but he couldn't let her derail his plan to counsel Marlena. Alex fills Lexie in on his past with Marlena and admits that he fears she's chosen to be with John. If that's the case, he'll respect Marlena's decision and leave Salem. After being interrupted by Philip and Belle, Marlena finally tells John her choice. She's chosen to be with Alex, her husband. John's hurt and furious and begs Marlena to reconsider. She's breaking his heart. A teary-eyed Marlena says she is deeply sorry, but she can't be with John. She must be with the man she pledged herself to first, Alex. Jennifer worries about Jack, who still hasn't returned home. Abby arrives and is upset at her mom that Jack's out in the storm. Finally, Frankie decides to go and look for Jack. Little does he know that Jack's car has plunged into the river. When Jack comes to, his car is filling with water. Jack's sure that God is punishing him for trying to commit suicide. He prays he'll make it out alive and has a delightful fantasy about spending Thanksgiving with his family. Soon, Frankie arrives at the bridge, sees the broken guardrail and realizes a car went into the river. Meanwhile, Jack loses consciousness and slowly disappears under the water.
