DAYS Recaps Week of March 27, 2006

Friday, March 31, 2006
Jennifer visited Bo, who was planting Hope's favorite flowers in the front yard. He said he was then going to paint the bedroom and do everything else on the "Honey Do" list. Jen urged Bo to find Hope and bring her home. Bo said he didn't know what to do. Jennifer reminded him of all the times he has saved Hope in the past and that he should track her down like he would any missing person. Bo told Jen that he was worried, but figured Hope needed time away to deal with what went down after Zack died. Jennifer warned Bo that Chelsea is very manipulative. "That's harsh," he said. Jen advised him not to let his daughter drive a wedge between him and Hope. She also suggested that prison might be the best place for Chelsea. Bo said learning the hard way was not the right way for Chelsea.

On Morgan Island, Patrick offered Hope a tropical beverage. He encouraged her to return to Salem. She said she wasn't ready, but thanked him for allowing her to stay in his cottage. Patrick said he felt bad that he came between Bo and Hope by spilling that Chelsea was driving the SUV. She said it wasn't his fault. He pointed out that yes, Bo made a mistake, but he was in a tough position in that one of his children killed the other. Hope spied a dark-haired couple kissing and imagined it was her and Bo.

Chelsea and Billie met with Frankie to discuss the teen's case. She insisted it was accidental. He admitted that he was going to have trouble keeping her out of jail. Chelsea freaked, saying there was no way she was going to go to the clink. Frankie said they needed a strategy. Chelsea said that it was imperative Hope didn't return before the trial so she couldn't testify. Frankie told her Hope's testimony would be bad, but Bo's would carry weight, too. Frankie asked if Bo was going to testify on Chelsea's behalf. Billie noted that Bo is her father and will do what he can to keep her out of prison. Frankie left. "You, stay out of trouble," were his parting words to Chelsea. Billie confronted Chelsea and said she knew her daughter was planning more things to drive a wedge between Bo and Hope. Chelsea denied it, then played around on her laptop to check her e-mail. Billie left the room. Chelsea set in motion her plan to keep the Bradys apart and hit "send" on the computer. Frankie went to Bo's house. "How's the defense shaping up," Bo asked. Frankie admitted it would be hard to keep Chelsea out of jail.... Hope got an e-mail. She checked it on the laptop and was shocked by what it contained.

In the bride's room of the church, Kate urged Marlena to cancel the wedding to Alex. Doc Evans asked what she was up to, since she had feelings for John herself. Kate insisted she had nothing up her sleeve. Alex found Belle outside of Marlena's room and asked what she was doing there. Belle said she wanted to talk to Marlena. Belle knocked on the door and told her mother that he had to talk to her before the ceremony and that it was important. Marlena said she was still getting dressed (she wasn't) and asked Alex to take Belle back to the church. Belle was disappointed. Marlena had a flashback of romantic times with John, having sex with him in the shower and toasting marshmallows. She heard Alex's voice calling to her through the door and was rattled. He told her he would be waiting for her at the altar, then said he loved her. She didn't answer right away, so he asked if she heard him. Marlena weakly replied that she loved him, too. Kate suspected Alex did something to Marlena. "He's shown me the true meaning of love," Marlena insisted, then had a flashback of her wedding to John.

John, disguised as a nun, made his way through the church. Tek asked the "sister" if she had seen John. "She" shook her head no. Abe, Roman and Tek were frustrated by their inability to find the super spy. Mimi and Shawn were worried by the lengths the cops would go to to ensure that John didn't take action at the ceremony. Roman said if John does anything, Tek's orders are shoot to kill. In the belfry, John put his gun together and spoke to God, asking for forgiveness for what he was about to do. He then had a flashback to when he was falsely imprisoned in Aremid and had words with Marlena.

Mimi assured Belle that the cops would find John. Belle apologized for interrupting their honeymoon. Mimi asked why Belle went running to Mimi's husband rather than her own. Belle claimed it was because Philip's bum leg made him a non-factor. Mimi didn't buy it. John set up his shot, then did a test run. Mimi heard the "whizzing sound" of the bullet.... Marlena came down the aisle. Father Jansen began the ceremony. Shawn spied a rifle coming out of the belfry and pointed it out to Roman. Abe assigned Tek to the confessional to get a lock on John, but told him not to shoot unless it really looked like John was going to fire.

Shawn and Mimi where surprised (to say the least) when Belle barged into the cabin, interrupting their honeymoon. Belle explained that her father was gunning for Alex, and she needed Shawn's assistance to stop him. Mimi was barely able to contain her anger when Shawn agreed to help Belle. "You just had to come to my husband instead of your own," Mimi snapped at her speechless "best" friend. When they arrived at the church, Kate told Mimi that if she wanted to hold on to her husband, she had to keep him away from Belle. The situation improved when Mims overheard Shawn tell Belle that she needed to stop leaning on him.

Lucas lashed out at Austin after Carrie ran from the church following Lucas's marriage proposal. He found Carrie outside and smoothed things over by assuring her that he didn't need an answer right away. Later, Austin found Carrie. who was initially reluctant to let him comfort her, but they ended up in an embrace. Meanwhile, Lucas and Sami argued about why they couldn't keep their family together. The fight ended with Sami racing off in tears after Lucas claimed to be completely over her.

Tek ran into Lexie outside St. Luke's, where he again professed his love. "John's our main concern right now." Lexie told him, quickly changing the subject. She revealed that Alex was blackmailing her with the knowledge of their affair. Kate arrived and informed Lexie that Marlena's memory was returning. The women took off to see the bride. Tek wasn't alone for long. Celeste showed up at the church and greeted him with a slap. Damning him for interfering in Lexie's life, Celeste demanded that he back off. Tek refused. "If I get my way, she will not be Mrs. Abe Carver much longer," he vowed. Inside, Abe and Roman warned Alex that John was out for blood. While Lexie comforted Kate about Marlena's memory returning, Alex slipped into the bridal suite and used a syringe to drug Marlena. When the women finally questioned her, a dazed Marlena claimed that her heart belonged to Alex. Outside, John studied his map and got ready to take action against Alex. "He's going to hit the ground before anyone can even blink," John growled before preparing to move into position.

Lucas made breakfast for Carrie. He was still proud as a peacock that she chose him over Austin. They shared a kiss. Carrie went to get the paper. Austin was in the hallway at the same time and they exchanged hellos. Austin asked why she chose Lucas. Carrie had yet another flashback to Lexie's bad medical news. She didn't answer and told Austin he needed to accept her decision. Lucas came out to tell Carrie breakfast was ready. Sami came to retrieve Austin.

Mimi and Shawn honeymooned at the Horton cabin. He built a fire, then picked her up. "Are you going to carry me everywhere?" she laughed. They saw a gift and opened it. It was from Alice and contained a hefty check for them to use to start their marriage off right and a book that his great-grandmother's grandmother started when she came to Salem that kept track of all Brady/Horton moments. Shawn and Mimi were touched that they would be the keepers of the book. Shawn found the page about Zack's birth and decided to enter his death. Shawn mentioned how close he felt to Claire, especially now that Zack was a part of her. Mimi told him to enter Claire's birth date in the book. But she's not a Horton or a Brady, Shawn pointed out. "Yes, she is," Mimi replied, then explained that she wouldn't be alive if she didn't get the transplant from Zack. Shawn agreed and entered her name. After, he picked his wife up again and took her to bed.

Belle visited Marlena, who was all smiley and happy that it was her wedding day. Belle told her mom that she couldn't be her matron of honor. Alex overheard and privately vowed to marry Marlena despite objections. The Swiss clock in the bedroom chimed and Marlena had a flashback of John telling her that every time the clock chimed, she would be reminded of his love for her. Belle asked Marlena what was going on. She realized it had something to do with the clock, then agreed to stand up for her mom. Alex knocked and told Marlena that it was getting late and they had to get to the church. Belle put the clock in her bag. Alex spied her. Across the way, in Kate's hotel suite, John trained a gun on the penthouse. An alarmed Kate caught him and threatened to call Roman. He urged her to keep it just between them, since she's the only one he can depend on. She agreed. John admitted he didn't like what he was about to do, but had to protect Marlena from Alex at all costs. "He is going to kill her and I can't let that happen," John explained, then kissed Kate good-bye.

Roman and Abe talked at the church about John and Alex. John came in and overheard Abe say they couldn't let him play vigilante. John insisted he wasn't going to do anything to make trouble, then went to confession. John explained to Father Jansen what he was about to do. The alarmed priest asked John if he was talking about Dr. North and Marlena. John replied that yes, Alex was a danger to Marlena. John said he loved her and would do anything to protect her, even if that meant taking a life. John came back into the room and Abe and Roman urged him not to do anything drastic. He took off and lit a candle. Kate tried to talk him out of his plan. Alex lurked around and decided to take matters into his own hands if the cops wouldn't.

In the bridal room, Belle pulled out the clock. Lexie came in and said she agreed with Belle and that Marlena should reconsider remarrying Alex. Alex eavesdropped and was angry that the women were messing with his bride-to-be. Alex paid a floral delivery guy to do a favor for him. The man knocked on the door and went in. He put the flowers down and broke the Swiss clock. Belle was distraught, since she considered that her last chance to save her mother. Outside, Alex smirked, saying he had Marlena just where he wanted her. Lexie left. Belle gave Marlena a rosary that Marlena gave John on their wedding day (something old), a heart locket charm that says Claire (something new), a strand of pearls that were Marlena's that Belle wore on her wedding day (something borrowed) and a blue ribbon that was wrapped around the basket when she was a flower girl at John and Marlena's wedding (something blue). She asked her mom to assure her that she would return from her extended honeymoon with Alex. Marlena smiled and said she would. Marlena had a flashback to John proposing to her. Belle asked if she was remembering something. No, said Marlena, who then restated her intent to marry Alex. Belle left. Alone, Marlena had more flashbacks of John.

Lucas and Carrie and Sami and Austin arrived at the church. Carrie told Lexie she chose Lucas. Lexie pulled Sami aside and asked if she was happy her blackmail worked. The two bickered. Sami said she would be happy with Austin. Lexie told her Austin would always love Carrie and that he's a one-woman man. Sami sat with Austin and told him how unhappy she was about the renewal ceremony. Carrie said hello to Father Jansen, then came back to sit with Lucas. He told her she was everything he ever wanted and pulled out a small ring box that contained a big diamond. He proposed to his shocked girlfriend of 12 hours.

Belle arrived at the Horton cabin and interrupted Shawn and Mimi in the heat of the moment.... John walked around outside the church with his gun while the cops hunted for him.... In the bride's room, Marlena realized she couldn't marry Alex because she loved John. "Did I hear right?" Kate, who happened to be there, asked. "Oh, what am I going to do?" Marlena replied.

Belle overheard Philip telling Claire how lucky he was to have a daughter and a wife that were so terrific. She came into the room, crying. Philip told her he knew why she was crying again, because she finally realized that she lost Shawn for good. Belle admitted that it was hard to see Shawn and Mimi get married, but it was harder to see that Shawn moved on without her. "Would you rather be with him?" Philip asked. "No," Belle insisted, then said that she knew it sounded conceited, but she was shocked that Shawn moved on so fast. Philip pointed out that you never forget your first love, but what they have is deeper, more mature. "The real deal," he elaborated. She thanked him for being so understanding, then headed out to get some air. In the hallway, she found a rose from Mimi's bouquet. On the roof, she flashed back to moments in the past with Shawn.

Shawn carried Mimi over the threshold and into the loft. "It's the happiest day of my life," Shawn smiled. The newlyweds headed to the bedroom to get the honeymoon started. Shawn went to get champagne. Mimi spied love letters from her relationship with Rex and mused aloud that she should have learned her lesson and told Shawn the truth. "The truth about what?" he said as he entered the room. Mimi said she was worried that their relationship was headed in the same direction because there things about her he didn't know. Shawn said he didn't care and that they had a "clean slate" going forward. He urged her to leave whatever it is in the past. Mimi told him she had to tell him right away. He told her loved her and she loved him and that was all that mattered. He poured the champagne and they toasted to their future. After, they consummated their marriage.

At the reception, Austin and Carrie saw Lucas and Sami. Carrie said they should go over to them. Austin said he wanted to do something first and kissed her. Sami asked Lucas what he was going to say before they were interrupted. Before Lucas could answer, Carrie and Austin came over and Carrie said she needed to talk to Lucas alone. Sami and Austin went to the bar. Sami remarked that she didn't think it was right that Carrie put the guys through so much while choosing between them. Austin defended his ex, then revealed Carrie didn't choose him. Sami got teary when she realized she was losing Lucas to Carrie. Austin told her that no matter how many times she tried to deny it, she was still in love with Lucas. Austin then said he planned to focus on work and give up on love. Sami gave him a pep talk and tried to assure him that he'd meet someone else. "Carrie's gone. There's nothing left to fight for," Austin noted. "What about me?" Sami replied, then explained that she had to believe there was hope out there for both of them. Austin praised her for her unselfish comments. He drank more, then headed home. Sami vowed to get Austin "for good this time."

Carrie and Lucas sat down. She thanked him for being such a great friend, then shocked him by choosing him. Lucas asked why she didn't choose Austin. Carrie flashed back to her conversation with Lexie about the rare genetic marker she and Austin shared that would make it a bad idea to have kids and told Lucas it's because she has a future with him. Lucas asked if she still loved Austin. Yes, she replied, "but he's my past and you're my future." Carrie asked Lucas to take things slow. He agreed. Carrie then asked if he was really over Sami. Lucas didn't respond directly, but said that Carrie was the one he always wanted to be with and wanted to make it work.

Lexie gave Marlena a sedative and tucked her into bed at the penthouse. Outside of Marlena's room, Lexie told Alex she wanted to stay, but Alex said no way. He accused Lexie of manipulating Marlena and poisoning her mind against him. Lexie accused him of doing the same regarding John. Marlena had confusing dreams about John and Alex, then woke up and heard Lexie and Alex bickering. She asked what was going on. Alex tried to shoo her away, but Marlena wouldn't go. Lexie told Doc Evans that she felt the vow renewal ceremony the next day was too soon and that Marlena wasn't up for it. Marlena said she'd see how she felt when she woke up, then returned to bed. Alex and Lexie exchanged harsh words outside, where he told her he knew about her affair with Tek and wouldn't hesitate to use it against her. A furious Lexie took off.

Abe overheard John talking to himself, threatening to blow Alex's head off. "If that's the case, John, then you're under arrest," Abe said. John reminded Abe that he wasn't officially back on the force. Abe said he was still on the police commission, though, then advised John not to do anything stupid where Alex was concerned. After Abe left, John practiced some maneuvers with his gun.

At their apartment, Billie ripped into Chelsea, calling her selfish for showing up at Shawn's wedding. "Everything bad that happened to everyone in this family is all my fault," pouted the teen. Chelsea argued that nobody would have even known she was at the wedding if Belle hadn't pointed out that she was there. Bo told her not to blame Belle. Chelsea tried to defend herself, then went to her room. Billie came in and confronted Chelsea about her true motive, which was to cause more trouble for Shawn and Bo. "What the hell is wrong with you?" Billie asked. Chelsea insisted she meant no harm, then asked Billie to leave her room. Out in the living room, Bo got on the computer. Billie came out and asked what he was doing. He said he wanted to check his e-mail, but found Chelsea's online diary and read it. In it, Chelsea wrote that she feared her parents would hate her and all she wanted was to be loved. They were moved. Chelsea came out and found them reading her private diary and was upset. They apologized, but said they were happy they read it.

At the reception, Belle looked on forlornly as Shawn and Mimi danced. Lucas and Austin showed up, still arguing about Carrie. Lucas was confident that Carrie would choose him. Carrie called Austin from the hospital and asked him to meet her. Lucas was peeved. Philip stopped the reception to make his best man speech (oh, wait, he already did that on Friday). After he made it (a different one this time, but it was supposed to be the same), Belle ran out in tears (again. She did that at the end of Friday's show). Shawn said he would go after her. Philip asked if there was something going on between them that he didn't know about. No, said Shawn, who then kissed his wife and went after Belle. Once alone, Phil asked Mimi was was going on between their spouses. He then confided that when Belle stopped the ceremony, he feared she was going to announce her love for Shawn. Mimi said she thought the same thing. Outside, a teary Belle cried that she regretted not stopping the ceremony and announcing her love for Shawn. "I know you still love me, too," she said. "Yes, I do," he replied, then elaborated that part of him will always love her, but that it's a "memory without a future". She's married to Philip and they have a daughter and he and Mimi are married. "You have to accept your future, and mine is with Mimi," he said gently. Belle asked him for one last dance to say good-bye to the past. "Sure," he said. They shared a private dance and he encouraged her to be happy. After, they went back inside and rejoined their spouses.

Victor restated to Kate his discomfort over keeping the secret of Claire's paternity from Shawn (and Philip). "Just don't tell him," Kate hissed. "Tell him what?" a nearby Caroline asked. Kate lied that they were talking about Austin and his business. After, Victor and Caroline shared a dance. Victor asked her if she could do it all over again, would she really have kept the secret that Bo was his? Caroline said that Victor was more ruthless then and that she would have done it over again to protect Bo, her marriage and family.

Bonnie and Mickey had a chat at the reception. Bonnie told him she did love him once. He said thanks, which was not the response she was looking for. He went on to explain that he loved her at a time when he was lost. She asked him to dance with her. He accepted. Shawn and Mimi cut the cake and smashed it in each other's faces. "That's my boy," exclaimed Grandpa Shawn. After, Philip and Shawn discussed the honeymoon. So did Mimi and Belle. Mimi thanked her pal for being so understanding about their relationship.

Austin arrived at the hospital to see Carrie, who was with Sami. Sami left. Austin asked Carrie if she loved him. "With all of my heart," she said. Sami got changed then went to the reception in a knockout dress. Kate started bickering with her the moment she walked in. "Go to hell," Sami said. Kate called her on being in a bad mood because Carrie was going to choose Austin. Lucas overheard Kate ripping into Sami. A vulnerable Sami told Kate that she loved Lucas and that they were meant to be together. They still would be, Sami argued, if Kate hadn't split them up. Kate boasted that her sons were free of Sami — and she was thrilled. After, Lucas and Sami spoke privately. He told her he heard her conversation with his mother. Before they could go on, Lucas and Sami spied Austin and Carrie together at the bar, toasting with champagne. "Carrie chose Austin," Sami sighed.
