Mimi and Belle relaxed and had their nails done at the Green Mountain Lodge spa and discussed the possibility of Mimi having a baby via in vitro fertilization. Bonnie, who was in the next chair eavesdropping, gasped, “Did you say your own baby?” Mimi was shocked to see her mom there, but Bonnie explained that it’s a great place to meet “single, rich corporate types.” Mimi mentioned the possibility of having a child via in vitro, and Bonnie encouraged her to have a test tube baby, ASAP. It would be a guarantee that Shawn would never leave her. Belle overheard, so Bonnie had to talk her way out it, noting that a kid was “super glue” to a marriage. When Bonnie left, Mimi asked Belle if she was okay with her and Shawn having their own baby. “Of course,” insisted Belle, as she and Mimi discussed how their kids would grow up together.

After Shawn and Philip finished breakfast — yummy waffles — Philip researched in vitro on his laptop. He read the information to Shawn, who was eager to make an appointment for Mimi. Philip pointed out that he knew in vitro worked. After all, it was how he was conceived. Mimi and Belle joined their husbands and the in vitro conversation continued. Bonnie reappeared and told Shawn how happy she was about his and Mimi’s news, noting that she couldn’t wait to be a grandma. Belle mentioned that if Mimi and Shawn had a boy, perhaps he could date Claire. “That could never happen,” said Mimi, who quickly covered by saying their kids would be more like brother and sister.

Lucas met with Kate, who’s apparently back in his good graces, to plan his wedding to Carrie. Lucas rattled off his requests, as Kate jotted everything down. “Nothing is too good for the woman I love,” said Lucas, who wanted his wedding to be “as perfect as my life with Carrie.” Kate wondered if everything really was going to be perfect. Lucas quickly shot her down, noting that Austin was totally out of the picture. In fact, he was going to be Lucas’ best man. Kate thought that might be awkward. Lucas insisted it wouldn’t be. Kate worried that Austin might be vulnerable to Sami now. Needless to say, Kate wasn’t too pleased when Lucas mentioned that Sami was going to be Carrie’s maid of honor.

Sami went on about the scrumptious breakfast she whipped up for Austin, but he told her to stop. Sami was pretending that everything was perfect between them and it wasn’t. Austin insisted they talk about their relationship and future. Austin acknowledged having feelings for Sami, but pointed out that he wasn’t over Carrie and still wanted a future with her. Austin said that he sensed Carrie felt the same way and recounted their conversation at Dune the night before. That’s why he was going to give it one more shot. Austin said that if things went the way he thought they would, he’d get Carrie back, she’d admit that she loved him, and Lucas would be out of the picture. Lucas arrived on cue and demanded to know what Austin was talking about.

On the pier, Carrie daydreamed about kissing Austin, while Lexie cursed Sami for forcing her to help break up the meant-to-be-together duo. Carrie spotted Lexie and told her that she was confused about her future, because she still had “really deep feelings” for Austin. Carrie asked Lexie if the tests she took were accurate, yet again. And, yet again, Lexie lied through her teeth and confirmed that any child Carrie and Austin conceived would have serious birth defects. Carrie lamented that she didn’t want to bring a child into the world who was only going to suffer the rest of his life. Carrie told Lexie that she almost admitted her real feelings to Austin last night. Then, she begged Lexie to review her test results one last time. Carrie wanted to be absolutely sure that there was no way she and Austin could have a healthy baby. Back in Lexie’s office, Carrie perused the medical certificates on Lexie’s wall. She picked up one and read a note from the late Tom Horton on it, noting how lucky Lexie’s patients were to have her as a doctor and a friend. A guilty Lexie finally broke down and said, “I am not noble. I'm not good. I'm a fraud. I don't tell my patients the truth.”

Shawn continued chatting with Libby, the bartender/in vitro fertilization specialist at Green Mountain Lodge. Belle arrived, and Shawn mentioned how much he loved Claire. In fact, she was the reason he longed to be a daddy. Belle remembered how much they both wanted to be parents when they were younger, and said that Shawn would be a great father. Shawn insisted that he loved Mimi, whether or not she could bear him a child. Belle said that Mimi was a lucky woman and that she had been a fool to let Shawn get away. Belle claimed to be truly happy for Shawn and noted that a baby would add a lot of laughter to his marriage to Mimi. Belle thanked Shawn for being her friend, and they embraced.

Carrie felt guilty about kissing Austin as they hid out in the storage room at Dune handcuffed together. Austin said that he loved Carrie and couldn’t understand why she was marrying Lucas. Meanwhile, in the wine cellar, Lucas continued quizzing Sami about what she had on Lexie, while Sami maintained that nothing was going on between them. Lucas thanked Sami for not trying to come between him and Carrie. Instead of saying, “You’re welcome,” Sami countered by telling him to stay out of her way with Austin. Sami remembered all the times she almost got married and vowed to follow through with Austin. After the pair traded some insults, Sami checked and saw that the cops had left. Sami and Lucas went to find Austin and Carrie, unaware that Austin was pressing Carrie for the real reason she decided to marry Lucas. Carrie remembered Lexie’s warning that any child she conceived with Austin would have severe birth defects, but didn’t ‘fess up to Austin. “There’s nothing either of us can do. We just have to let it go,” she told Austin, who realized that something WAS going on. He begged Carrie to tell him, just as Lucas and Sami arrived and announced that the cops were gone. Austin and Carrie headed to Jada, who removed their handcuffs and told them that they’d won the dance contest. When Lucas slipped off, Austin told Carrie that he was still waiting for an answer about her decision.

Marlena was giddy with excitement as she and Alex walked through the casino on Morgan Island. Alex took Marlena outside and gave her a necklace as a honeymoon gift. While Marlena went to try it on and see how it looked, Alex took a call from the realtor that he hired to sell Marlena’s penthouse. He told her that he wanted the apartment and its furnishings sold as a package and suggested the perfect person to buy the place. Alone, Alex smiled to himself that he would end up the winner with all John’s money AND his beloved Doc. Marlena returned giddier than before, after learning that Alex had booked an entire spa day for his new bride. Alex encouraged Marlena to try her luck at roulette, and she jumped at the chance. To himself, Alex thought, "Enjoy it while you can, Marlena. Your luck is about to run out.”

John was hard at work on his laptop trying to figure out where Alex had taken Marlena. John told Kate that he feared Alex didn’t love Marlena and was going to kill her. Kate was sure that Marlena would return home. She had flashbacks of a lunch date where Marlena told her that she loved Salem and would be back after her honeymoon. John, however, said that if it were up to Alex, Marlena would never come home alive. John’s cell phone rang and it was Alex’s realtor. She told John that Alex wanted him to have first shot at buying the penthouse. After he hung up, John announced that he was right all along. Alex had no intention of bringing Marlena back. He was going to kill her.

Patrick abruptly stopped kissing Hope. “I can’t fall in love with you. You’re a married woman,” he announced. Hope said that she didn’t have a marriage. Bo had broken their vows and it was time for her to move on — with Patrick! Hope kissed Patrick and asked him to make love to her. Patrick carried Hope back to his bungalow, where they undressed each other and made love. Afterwards, Patrick asked Hope if they’d made a mistake. Hope insisted they hadn’t. They were good for each other. Then, they kissed and made love, again. Later, Hope and Patrick returned to the casino, where he fed her chocolate fondue on a spoon and kissed her.

Jennifer filled Frankie in on her talk with Abby and admitted that she felt guilty sleeping with him in the bed she once shared with Jack. Jennifer admitted that she loved Frankie, but didn’t know if things could work out for them. She wasn’t ready to make a commitment yet. Frankie maintained that he would wait forever for Jennifer and remembered back to leaving her to go to college 20 years earlier. “Things would have been so different if I’d stayed,” noted Frankie. Jennifer wouldn’t change the past. Then she wouldn’t have had Jack or their children. Frankie suggested they change the future, instead. Jennifer apologized for not being able to make up her mind; then, asked Frankie to make love to her. Frankie wanted to take her inside, but Jennifer wanted to make love right there in the backyard.

At Java Café, Chelsea came in and apologized to Abby about what she said about Jennifer and Frankie. Abby told Chelsea that she was right. In fact, Abby walked in on her mom and Frankie together. Chelsea noted that people jump from relationship to relationship, and even people who seem destined to be together forever split up, like Bo and Hope. When Abby left to get coffee, Max questioned Chelsea about her Bo and Hope comment. Chelsea said that the divorce was definitely happening, now that Bo and Billie were “hooking up.” Max asked how Chelsea knew this and accused her of doing something to split Bo and Hope. Guilty, but annoyed, Chelsea left to hit on a pair of guys, who invited her to a party. Abby swept in to save her pal, but all Chelsea did was accuse her of being an uptight prude. Chelsea told Abby that she needed to loosen up and have fun. “Go find Josh and get busy,” urged Chelsea. Abby headed to dance with Josh, while Chelsea bumped and grinded with one of her new guy pals. Max broke things up when the guy started pawing Chelsea. He asked if Chelsea really wanted her face plastered all over the tabloids with a trial coming up. Chelsea claimed that she was just trying to have some fun. Meanwhile, outside, Josh told Abby how sexy she looked and kissed her under the stars.

Patrick and Hope hit the casino to forget their troubles. After winning big, Patrick and Hope headed to dinner on the terrace. Soon, they were sharing a dance. Hope, however, saw Bo’s face when she looked up at Patrick. No matter, Hope told Patrick that she felt like she was finally moving on. The pair returned to their table, where Patrick made a toast and Hope said that she was impressed with this “dashing, debonair” side. Patrick credited Hope with getting him to leave his con man past behind him. Patrick asked if Hope was sure she didn’t want to give Bo another chance. Hope maintained that she couldn’t; especially after finding him in bed with Billie. “My marriage is over,” announced Hope. Patrick took Hope for a walk on the beach, where they shared another dance and Patrick told Hope how special she was. Patrick suggested returning to the casino, because the beach was dangerous at night. Hope didn’t understand, so Patrick explained that he shouldn’t be alone with her. He had been attracted to Hope from the minute he saw her. Hope confessed that she felt an attraction for him, too. Patrick warned Hope that he might not be able to control himself any longer. “Then don’t,” cooed Hope, as she and Patrick kissed.

Bo ruined the mood for Billie, when he called her “Fancy Face,” while they were smooching. Billie pulled away and said that she understood that Bo wanted Hope and couldn’t let things go any further. She took the blame for constantly putting herself in this position, but Bo insisted he was to blame. He forced himself on Billie, his only friend, during this trying time. Bo thanked Billie for her support, regarding finding Hope and getting her back. However, Bo truly believed his chances with his wife were over. Hope wouldn’t change her mind about their divorce or talk to him. Meanwhile, Billie had been there for him during this whole nightmare with Zack. It all took Bo back. “There’s a part of me that wants you,” Bo told Billie, insisting that he still cared about her. Billie admitted that a part of her wished she and Bo could still be together. After coming to the realization that he and Hope were over, Bo announced that he wanted to face life and what it had in store for him with Billie. Then, Bo and Billie fell into a kiss.

Mimi was thrilled to bits that Shawn got the paperwork to adopt a baby. Belle wasn’t. “This is SO wrong,” she sighed. Philip was perplexed by Belle’s reaction, but she explained that Shawn wanted his own children and was only going this route for Mimi. Shawn and Mimi overheard, and Mimi went outside to sob. Shawn went after his bride and consoled her, insisting that he really DID want to adopt a baby. Soon, Belle and Philip arrived, and Belle apologized for upsetting Mimi. Shawn went back to the bar to get drinks, and Belle followed. Belle apologized to Shawn, too, noting that she knew how upset Mimi had been when she learned she couldn’t have kids because of her scarred fallopian tubes. Fortunately, Shawn and Mimi could adopt, so everything would be peachy. When Belle took the drinks outside to Mimi and Philip, Libby, the lady bartender, couldn’t resist commenting about Mimi’s female problems. She explained that there might be a way for Mimi to get pregnant. Shawn rushed to fetch Mimi, Belle and Philip and brought them inside. Libby noted that she had the same problem as Mimi and now had two babies courtesy of in vitro fertilization. Mimi and Shawn agreed to give it a try.

Max arrived and Chelsea told him that she was to blame for Bo and Hope’s split. Max said she wasn’t, unaware of her e-mail tampering. Chelsea noted that perhaps Bo and Billie could reunite if Bo and Hope divorced. Max insisted that would never happen, because Hope was the only woman Bo would ever love. Chelsea said she had to go and left.

Billie arrived at the Cheatin’ Heart to tend to Bo, who was belting back beers. She warned Bo about drinking and driving, but he said he knew his limits. Billie urged Bo not to give up on Hope. Bo said that Hope was the one who had given up on their marriage and moved on. Billie insisted that Hope was grieving and still loved Bo. After the bartender cut off Bo, he got on his motorcycle and split, as Billie followed. Meanwhile, Chelsea ran up yelling that she had to talk to Bo and Billie, but neither heard her. Later, Billie and Bo surfaced in the great Salem outdoors, and Billie told Bo that she would help him find Hope. Bo thought about Hope, as an array of classic flashbacks shot across the screen. Afterwards, Bo turned and kissed Billie. Huh?

“No, this isn’t happening,” shrieked Abby, after walking in on Frankie and Jennifer in bed together. Frankie made a hasty retreat and left mother and daughter to talk things out. Jennifer explained that noting had happened between her and Frankie until their getaway at Green Mountain Lodge. In fact, she and Frankie even had separate rooms there. That is, until Jennifer realized she still had feelings for Frankie. Abby cried and said that she was upset her mom had jumped into bed with another man so soon after her dad’s death. Abby wondered who else Jennifer had slept with and asked when her mom had become such a slut. Jennifer considered slapping Abby — she SHOULD have! — but stopped herself. Jennifer admitted that she should have told Abby what was going on between her and Frankie, but didn’t because she was scared. Then, she told Abby about the DVD Jack made and played it for her. When it was over, Abby said she understood and apologized to Jennifer. Frankie arrived just as Abby announced that she needed to apologize to him, too. Frankie said it wasn’t necessary, noted that Jack was a special man, and hugged Abby. After Abby left, Frankie told Jennifer that he thought Jack was looking after all of them. Jennifer agreed.

Max left a voice mail for Chelsea. He couldn’t help but worry about her, after Frankie admitted that Chelsea was “scared and desperate,” although he couldn’t reveal why because of attorney/client confidentiality. Little did they know that Chelsea was ready to confess her e-mail scam to Bo and Billie as she searched for them in the woods. As fate would have it, when Chelsea found them, Billie and Bo were kissing. Chelsea ran off, unable to believe her parents were “having sex” because of her. She could never tell the truth now.

Jennifer overheard Frankie talking on his cell phone, checking on Patrick’s background. Jennifer noted that Bo hated Patrick and he was the one who thought there was a connection between him and the fugitive. Frankie maintained that Patrick was a con man and that if he did what was in the police report, he could go to prison or, worse yet, be looking at the death penalty. The reception on Frankie’s cell waned, so he took the call outside, where he ran into Chelsea. Frankie told Chelsea that he knew she hadn’t ‘fessed up to Bo (about her e-mail scam with Hope). Chelsea insisted that she wanted to, but couldn’t. Bo would never forgive her, and she needed him by her side for the trial. Chelsea asked Frankie what he would advise her to do as her lawyer. Frankie admitted that he’d have to advise her NOT to tell Bo, even though it was the right thing to do. Frankie phoned Bo, so Chelsea could talk to him, but she refused. Frankie found out that Bo was at the Cheatin’ Heart, and Chelsea text messaged Billie with her dad’s whereabouts. A disapproving Abby walked up and caught Chelsea, who said she was trying to get her mom and dad together. Then, Chelsea started talking about Frankie and Jennifer getting together. Abby refused to believe that they were anything but friends, insisting that her mom still loved her dad. Chelsea shocked Abby by saying that Jennifer was dying to have sex with Frankie, if she hadn’t already. Abby slapped Chelsea.

Jennifer phoned Hope and filled her in on the scuttlebutt about Patrick. Hope noted that while Patrick may have been involved in a few scams, he was no killer. Hope noted that Patrick had been a good friend to her, even encouraging her to give Bo a second chance. Then, Hope launched into the story of Patrick’s dead lover and how he blamed himself for Alma’s death. Jennifer fretted about Hope’s safety and urged her to talk to Bo and give him another chance. Hope reminded Jennifer about finding Bo in bed with Billie at that motel before she left town. Bo had moved on, and now she was, too. Frankie walked in and announced that Bo was at the Cheatin’ Heart and that he hoped Billie was there with him. Unfortunately, Hope overheard, told Jennifer to tell Frankie to hurry up with the divorce papers, and hung up. Hope stared at a picture of Bo. Then, she put it back into her purse and called out to Patrick that she was ready to go out.

Meanwhile, Frankie informed Jennifer that Bo had refused to sign the divorce papers. Jennifer was glad, insisting that Bo and Hope belonged together. Things turned romantic as Jennifer and Frankie started to kiss. Frankie swept Jennifer up into his arms and carried her off to the bedroom to make love. While they were in bed, Abby came into the house, walked up to her mom’s room, and opened the door. She was absolutely shocked too see Jennifer and Frankie in bed together.

Everyone freaked at Dune, as the police arrived to make a drug raid. Lucas told Sami that neither of them could afford to be brought in for questioning and urged her to leave with him. Afraid of how this scandal might affect their careers, Carrie suggested that she and Austin split, too. Lexie panicked when she heard a cop mention Abe’s name, and she and Tek ran off. Carrie and Austin made their way to a storage room, where they discussed their new friendship and wondered if Sami and Lucas got away. Cut to Sami and Lucas in the wine cellar, where a cop with a flashlight just missed discovering them. The duo exchanged barbs and worried about getting arrested and embarrassing Will, AGAIN. Tek and Lexie escaped via a window. Too bad Lexie dropped her bracelet on her way out. Lexie fretted about it for about a second. Then, Tek started kissing her and all was forgotten, as one thing led to another. Inside, a cop found Lexie’s bracelet and showed it to Abe, who recognized it. Jada covered and said it belonged to her. Meanwhile, Austin told Carrie that he would always love her and that they belonged together, while she tried to convince him that she loved Lucas. When a cop walked into the wine cellar, Lucas kissed Sami to keep her quiet. After the cop left, Sami asked Lucas if she still got to him. Surprisingly, Lucas admitted that she did. Then, Lucas asked what was going on between Sami and Lexie. He wondered what Lexie had on Sami, but Sami wasn’t talking. Neither were Austin and Carrie, who had succumbed to passion and begun to kiss.
