At the Brady Pub, Austin and Lucas had a heart-to-heart about how Sami ditched Austin at the altar. Lucas maintained that the runaway bride has father-related abandonment issues and is also jealous of Carrie. Austin was surprised when his bro blamed some of the problem on EJ. Austin didn't totally buy Lucas's reasoning and balked at the suggestion that Sami thinks he still wants Carrie. He made a big point of noting that Carrie is now Lucas's wife. Lucas passionately told his brother that Sami needs to be loved completely. Lexie came in for a food order and made a beeline for the men's table. She volunteered that being dumped by Sami was the best thing that could happen to Austin. When the sibs rigorously defended Sami, Lexie blurted a veiled reference to Sami's blackmail. Austin demanded to know what she meant; but Lex awkwardly covered by calling Sami mentally ill. Austin said that he regretted inviting Lexie to the wedding. Then he left to go see Sami. Lucas predicted to Lexie that the couple would get back together this very day.

At the police station, Tek reported to Abe about the menacing calls Lexie and Sami had received. Carver was dubious and also not at all happy to be dealing with the man who bedded his wife. John warned that the threat is serious. Abe blasted his soon-to-be-ex-wife for putting their son's safety in danger. He branded her a liar and barked that DiMeras can't be trusted. Tek violently lunged at Abe, but John broke it up and Tek left. Roman came in and the cops watched a security tape of the wedding for clues. They saw the part where Lexie slipped in and noted that none of them knew she attended the nups. Abe wondered what she was up to. Roman suggested Abe investigate — by dating Lexie! Abe's jaw dropped.

A shadow loomed over Sami while she slept. She woke up screaming, but was relieved that it was only EJ. She told him she'd had a nightmare about being chased by a knife-wielding psycho. He comforted Sami and they talked about their childhoods. EJ recalled his Mary Poppins-like governess, Sami discussed the story of Marlena and John's affair and the animosity she'd felt for her stepdad. But Miss Brady did admit that all in all she had a good childhood. When talk turned to Austin, EJ badmouthed him, insisting that he didn't want Sami to be herself, he wanted her to be Carrie. EJ also confessed that he's falling for Sami. The moment was broken when Sami spotted another note. EJ read the mystery missive; it warned Sami to give custody of Will to Lucas, or else her son would learn about her misdeeds and never forgive her. Sami hit the roof and declared she'd never give up her son. EJ soothed her with a kiss and they began to smooch passionately.

Sami cried in EJ's arms about running out on Austin at their wedding. He tried to cheer her up and got her to laugh. Marlena arrived and was puzzled by the levity. EJ left them alone and Sami immediately volunteered that she and EJ are just friends. Marlena took note of her protests-too-much attitude. Sami sobbed again, lamenting that Carrie is always the first choice and that Austin and Lucas are in love with her. She griped that men fight over Belle, too and called herself the "bad seed". Marlena lovingly comforted her daughter and left. EJ returned.

At St. Luke's John filled in a flirtatious Eve on the possible threat to the Brady family. She got another officer to take over her shift and cooed to John about their impending date. Marlena walked up and pointedly introduced herself as "Mrs. John Black". John clarified that they are separated and left with Eve. He soon returned by himself to explain to his wife that Eve means nothing to him, but he still must keep their date. She quickly figured out that he's working on a case. Marlena drew him into a romantic smooch. John confessed that he is on a case.

Bonnie barged in on Mimi to ask what happened with the file exposing Claire's paternity. Mimi explained that Belle and Shawn still don't remember having sex and assume the file is a malicious prank. They contemplated who would hate the Brady and Kiriakis clans that much. Bonnie mentioned the DiMeras.... Belle and Philip returned from the wedding to relieve Maggie of her babysitting duties. He was still very upset about Claire's file. His wife assured him that he's the dad and they soon fell into bed.

EJ and Sami stormed over to Lexie's house and pushed their way in to confront her about the threatening call warning Sami not to go through with the wedding. Lexie denied making the call, pointing out that she has as much to lose as Sami since giving in to her blackmail could cost Lexie her medical license. Lexie warned EJ to ditch Sami before it's too late. He noted that he comes from a dramatic family and likes living on the edge. Sami still suspected Lexie and pointed out that she's a DiMera. Afterward, a frantic Lexie met with Tek on the docks to go over the situation.

As a lovey-dovey Marlena and John strolled, they stumbled upon Eve's seemingly lifeless body on the ground.

Fearing that the mystery person who left a menacing call for Lexie might turn up at Sami and Austin's wedding, Tek discreetly summoned backup to St. Luke's.

As Father Jansen blessed the rings Lexie stood by the confessional and glowered at the bride. Kate continued to roll her eyes and snipe to EJ about the proceedings. Tears welled up in Carrie's eyes as she watched her ex pledge his fidelity to her sister. When it was Sami's turn to speak, she dropped the ring, which got a wicked smile out of Lex. "I'm sorry Austin, I can't go through with it," the bride blurted before running down the aisle and falling on her way out. She jumped to her feet and bolted out of the sanctuary. "I'm sorry, I don't know what happened here, but I don't want anyone to go anywhere," Austin assured the guests. In the meantime, Katie crowed to EJ that her prayers had been answered "spectacularly".

Austin followed Sami to the bride's room and calmly asked for an explanation. She sobbed that he had to get over her. Austin pointed out that they had already traded vows. "Oh my God, I'm so embarrassed. I should be struck by lightning," she cried. Austin patiently prodded his runaway bride to start anew with him. "Take me for your lawful wedded husband," he urged. She refused to slip the band on his finger and returned her diamond ring to him. Sami insisted that she was haunted by her past and not a new person, thus undeserving of Austin. He tried to change her mind, but she wouldn't budge.

While the drama was unfolding, Tek filled in Bo, Roman and John about the person who threatened Lexie. He also blew the whistle on Sami's blackmail scheme and lie about Carrie's inability to have healthy kids with Austin. Roman was disappointed that his daughter had not changed. Austin returned and told the guests that the wedding was off for now, but he hoped it would eventually happen. Needless to say, nobody was shocked. Carrie comforted the groom, who said he needed a new place to live. She invited him to move in with her and Lucas, however Austin wanted to be alone. Though she was sorry that her son was hurt, Kate asked EJ to take her dancing. He said he had to tend to his friend first and went looking for Sami.

Marlena frowned and was puzzled by her daughter's actions.... Hope left with Bo.... Frankie took Jennifer to Chez Rouge.... Max told Stephanie that she looked too gorgeous to go home. Chelsea shot them a look.... Phillip took Belle home.... Billie told Austin she wasn't surprised, but was ticked off at the way Sami dumped him.... Grandpa Shawn and Caroline sadly comforted the groom.... Kayla asked Steve if the wedding brought back memories; it didn't.... Lucas tried to make Will feel better.... Eve turned up at the church.

Roman went to see his daughter, who broke down in his arms. "Everybody must hate me for hurting Austin," she wept. He dried her tears with a tissue, then asked Sami to catch him up on her problem. She would only say that she was under pressure with Austin putting her on a pedestal. "It's scary. It's too far to fall," she said. Unable to get the full story from her, Roman warned his daughter that "you reap what you sow."

Carrie questioned Austin about his commitment to marrying Sami. He told her he was going to try to get Sami back.... EJ located Sami, who had changed back into regular clothes. She explained that she got a creepy call before the nups and that the caller vowed to expose her misdeeds if she went through with the wedding. She said that she could not take a chance on Will finding out what she had done to Carrie. EJ put his arms around the sobbing bride.

As the wedding march played and the guests squirmed and chatted about the bride's poor track record, Roman asked Sami if she was certain that she wanted to go through with it. Sami insisted that she was ready to wed Austin. As Roman escorted his daughter down the aisle, the guests and bridal party beamed and/or nervously gawked at her. Except for Kate, who shot one heckuva dirty look.

At the hospital, Lexie and Tek, all suited up with a tie, pondered the identify of the mystery person who threatened her. They speculated that the culprit is probably the one behind the in-vitro switch and exposing Claire's medical file. Tek noted that the troublemaker could use Sami's wedding as the perfect event to wreak more havoc. After racing to the church in record time, Tek phoned in to Lexie to report that the ceremony was going on. Too bad Abe walked up behind Lex and overheard her speaking to his rival. He glowered and started to walk away, but she went after him to explain that she and Tek are just friends now. Abe blew her off and went to speak to a nurse about Claire's medical file. When Abe said that he would interview the ER doc on duty the night in question, Lexie happily announced that she was the one on duty. Abe questioned Lexie, but kept things all business, pointedly referring to her as "Doctor". Lexie piqued his interest by suggesting that the file was deliberately left for Shawn to find. He softened a bit when she handed him a file and they brushed hands. The moment was interrupted by Bonnie, who demanded to know what they were saying about Claire. Lexie filled her in on the paternity file thing, which deeply distressed Bonnie. Afterward, Lexie left to go to the church.

Back at the wedding, Marlena and Will gave bible readings. Will noted that he's happy his uncle will be his stepdad, even though he had hoped his parents would get back together. Sami's eyes welled with tears as he praised her as a great mom, even though she'd made some poor decisions. He went on to say that she had finally become the person he and his dad thought she could be. When it was Austin's turn to talk, he heaped on more compliments about the new and improved Sami. Kate looked like she had cartoon steam coming out of her ears. The minister asked Sami if she had anything to say and she did: "I don't think I can do this." Austin convinced her that it was just nerves and Sami continued on. When the minister got to the part about anyone having an objection, the crowd murmured, but no one stood up. Sami wasn't out of the clear yet, Lexie walked in and smirked at the bride. Gulp!

At the church, Marlena and Roman got prepared for Sami's wedding. Marlena noted to Roman that she felt Sami was marrying the wrong guy. John showed up and told Marlena how beautiful she looked. He asked how she was. She said she felt good and felt stronger. John said he wanted to move back into the penthouse. Roman advised John not to pressure Doc.

Bo and Hope told a relieved Caroline and Grandpa Shawn that Shawn would be okay. Hope was uncomfortable when the elder Bradys talked about a reconciliation for her and Bo.

Jennifer and Frankie arrived. Jen spied her cousin with Bo and asked if they were there together. "Sort of," Hope smiled. Frankie went inside to let the women catch up.

Chelsea nosed around with Philip and Belle about how Shawn was doing. Philip covered about what went on at the hospital. When the Kiriakises walked away, Billie asked what Chelsea was up to. Once alone, Belle asked why Phil didn't want her telling Chelsea and Billie about the file they found. Phil explained he didn't want his mother to know about it and telling his sister and niece wasn't a good idea.

Tek found Lexie at the hospital. She revealed that Abe wants a divorce and full custody. She also blabbed about what happened with Claire's file and suggested that the same person who messed with the embryos and left the file out is the same person who made the threatening call to her. What threatening call, Tek asked. Lexie told him the truth about what happened when she was about to bust Sami.

Austin insisted to Kate and Lucas that Sami wouldn't stand him up. Kate said she was going to go out and tell the guests that there wouldn't be a wedding. She opened the door and there was Sami, smiling broadly, saying that yes, there would. She and Austin embraced. Sami explained that she and EJ ran into one calamity after another, but that it was all okay because she got there. Kate pointed out that there was bad luck now that the groom saw Sami before the ceremony. Sami insisted she used up all of her bad luck and planted a kiss on Austin, to Kate's chagrin.

Steve, Kayla and Stephanie arrived. Steph remarked that she was happy they were there as a family. An uncomfortable Steve said he couldn't remember the last time he wore a tie. Kayla thanked him for returning to St. Luke's, the site of his dramatic return. Billie joined Steve and Kayla and said she'd be up to a rematch of darts. Steve and Billie seemed a little flirty.

In the groom's room, EJ apologized to Austin for getting Sami there late. Lucas seemed suspicious of the Brit's car breaking down. In the bride's room, Sami's hair and makeup person, Deanna, noticed a red mark on Sami's neck. Sami explained she got it helping EJ fix his car. Marlena asked Sami if she was sure she wanted to marry Austin. Sami insisted that yes, she did. Marlena told her to consider the signs of earlier that day and that perhaps her subconscious was at work. No way, Sami replied. "I love Austin and nothing is going to stop me from marrying him." The women exchanged the something old, new, borrowed and blue. Belle looked upset, so Sami asked Deanna to leave her alone with her sisters.

Max told a distracted Chelsea how beautiful she looked. When she didn't reply, he asked if the baby news came out. She noted that Abby had a big mouth and took off. Chelsea got to the bride's room and overheard Belle telling Carrie and Sami about the telltale file. Belle revealed that she and Shawn were never together sexually so it couldn't be true. Carrie remarked that Belle looked like she wanted the baby to be Shawn's. Belle said Philip was determined to find out who left the file out. Outside, Chelsea scurried away when she heard Lucas and Will coming. The men wished Sami well. "I just hope nothing goes wrong," Will said.... Austin and Carrie shared a close moment.

John, Bo and Steve conferred about the Eve case. Steve revealed that he had a friend of his hack into Eve's bank account and it turns out she made a huge cash deposit the day after the surveillance disk went missing. Now we just have to find out who paid her, Bo noted.

Sami asked for a moment alone before the wedding started. The phone rang; Sami answered. It was a computerized voice that told her if the wedding happens, her secret will be revealed. Sami was rattled, but still determined to go through with it. Roman noted that Sami seemed tense and asked her if she was sure she wanted to marry Austin.
