Carrie vowed vengeance against Lexie over dinner with Austin. "In my opinion, she deserves to lose her license!" Austin just wanted to walk away and have a bright future with Carrie. Well, Carrie couldn't leave Salem without giving Lexie and Sami some payback. Meanwhile, Tek came to see Lexie and declare his love again. "There's no time like the present," Carrie said, going to let Lexie have it. Tek was in for a surprise: Lexie turned him down flat (maybe not so flat; she looked a little wistful) and presented him with a restraining order. Amorous intentions momentarily stalled, Tek left. Naturally, Carrie walked up. "How the hell do you live with yourself?" she spat. A ragin' rant ensued. "How could you do it?" Carrie asked, as Lexie sputtered and blamed Sami. She said she'd intended to confess except that the mysterious call from the Gloved Hand had stopped her. Carrie didn't think that let her off the hook. Lexie assured her she hated herself and regretted her actions. Smug Carrie told her she'd lose her medical license, her job and her husband after Carrie was done.

At Sami's, she hedged about admitting her dirty deeds to Will but Lucas wanted her to spill right now. Sami did her usual post-crazy plan song and dance but eventually got around to admitting the birth defect-blackmail plot. "Are you crazy?" Will demanded, blasting her. "It's the sickest thing you've ever done, and that's saying a lot!" He was sad to see that his mom hadn't changed and told her to save her excuses. Sami pleaded for him not to move in with Lucas but it was too late: he was packed and ready to go. Lucas looked a bit sad as he opened the door, but then Kate arrived. Uh-oh. Lucas gave her the Sami Scheme Update. Kate cheered everyone for seeing Sami's true colors and asked the guys to come stay with her. "No way!" Sami cried, but her vote didn't count. She wondered if Lucas would ever be able to forgive her. He told Sami he pitied her. "All I see in our future is a lifetime of misery and unhappiness." Kate herded the boys out. "Please don't go," Sami begged Lucas. "I can't lose you, either of you." She'd do anything! They walked out and Sami collapsed against the door, sobbing.

At the Salem PD, Roman brought Bo in after his "little run-in" with Patrick. "Abe, he provoked me!" Bo cried, as Hope came in to give evidence to the contrary. Abe sent Bo to interrogation and Hope then confided her worries about Bo's Patrick obsession to Abe. Roman chastised his baby bro for playing into Patrick's hands. Then, Abe walked in and piled on some more. Hope apologized to Patrick for Bo being "filled with so much hate," and he comforted her (smirking) when she got weepy. Bo was insulted that Abe wanted to take his badge. Well, he'd do more if Bo didn't, "sit down, shut up, and listen to me!" Cue a big ol' lecture. Bo remained determined to catch Patrick despite his and Roman's warnings. Hope pulled back from Patrick and went to make her statement and Patrick placed a call to his partner. Later, Hope was still up for a Chicago getaway with him. In interrogation, Bo was willing to sacrifice his career to protect Hope. Seeing Patrick and Hope in the hall, he pounced. "I'll bring you down!" he cried. "That's it," Abe hissed. Abe asked him for his badge and gun and relieved him of duty, "effective immediately." Meanwhile, somewhere shady on the docks, Patrick met his mysterious cohort...EJ!

What did Abe say Bo was playing when he started out as a cop?

Shawn mustered up an "I can explain" when Belle caught him kissing Willow in the harbor master's office. Shawn asked for a moment alone with Belle; then, told her that Willow was a friend, who meant nothing to him. Willow took off upon overhearing this. Belle cried that she knew she and Claire meant nothing to Shawn, too. Shawn insisted that wasn't true. Belle questioned why Shawn dropped his custody suit for Claire. Shawn explained that it was out of respect for Philip. Belle said that Philip had left town. Shawn asked Belle if she loved Philip, and she admitted she did, just not the way he needed her to. Belle noted that the Shawn she loved was gone, too; he would never have used a girl like Willow. Belle sobbed that she let Philip go for a fantasy. Shawn swore that he wanted to be a family with Belle and Claire. Belle refused to believe him. She wasn't going to let another man play daddy to Claire, only to walk out on her.

Sami and Carrie had a major catfight, screaming at each other and rolling around on the floor. Lucas and Austin pulled the two sisters apart. Sami insisted that she'd changed; that's why she stopped her wedding to Austin. Carrie didn't buy it. Someone must have been blackmailing Sami. Lucas agreed, since Sami had no conscience. EJ, who was eavesdropping from the hall, asked if everything was okay. Sami opened the door, briefly; then, asked him to leave. Carrie vowed to let everyone in their family know what Sami had done to her; then, she and Austin left. Later, while cleaning up the apartment, Lucas told Sami that he couldn't believe he had trusted her again, only to be betrayed. He was done with her and moving out. Will walked in and asked what his mom had done this time.

Kate asked Roman to help her stop Sami from ruining Lucas's life again. Roman said he had more important things to do and told Kate that she'd have to manipulate Lucas' life alone. Kate brought up Will and how he was the victim in all this Sami/Lucas dysfunction. It hit home for Roman, who agreed to seek Marlena's advice about Sami and left. EJ arrived and reported that Mission: Seduce Sami might be over. Sami, Lucas, Austin and Carrie got into a huge fight and he was sure Sami and Lucas were finished. Kate wasn't so sure, since Lucas had a soft spot for Sami. EJ offered to distract Sami, while Kate took Lucas out to dinner. By the time they returned, he'd have Sami in bed and Lucas could catch them there. Kate noted that EJ seemed "overly enthusiastic" about his assignment. EJ countered by kissing Kate's neck.

Austin told Carrie that Sami never paid for her bad deeds and would get away with this, too. Carrie vowed that both Sami and Lexie were going down for what they'd done to her. Carrie said she'd lost her self-respect and felt that she could never trust anyone again. Austin promised she could trust him; then, suggested they leave Salem after remarrying. Carrie agreed, but first she had to finish things off with Lexie.

Hope whined to Patrick about her fear of losing Shawn and his self-destructive behavior. When Bo interrupted, Patrick reluctantly left them alone to talk. Bo explained that if it felt like he was ignoring Hope and Shawn after Zack's death, he wasn't. He was simply trying to fix his mistakes by taking care of Chelsea. Bo swore that if he could do tonight over again, Chelsea would be in jail and he'd have been there for Hope and Shawn. Hope said that Bo had let her down too many times. She couldn't risk needing him anymore. Bo promised to walk away, if that's what Hope wanted, but warned her that Patrick was dangerous. Hope wouldn't hear it. When Patrick returned, Bo grabbed Hope and begged her to listen to him. The two men got into a fight. Roman walked by, and Patrick demanded Bo be arrested for assault. Bo admitted to hitting Patrick. Roman said his brother could give him a statement at the police station. When Bo refused to go peacefully, Roman handcuffed him as Hope looked on and fought back tears.

Belle returned to the penthouse, thanked her parents for babysitting, and fumed about Victor, Mimi, Kate and Bonnie not telling her that Shawn was Claire's father. Thanks to THEM, her life was a mess, and she didn't know what to do. Marlena left father and daughter alone to talk. John advised Belle to do nothing, take a breather, and chill. Belle reminded her dad how he showed up at Marlena and Alex's wedding, ready to blow Alex's head off. "Do as I say and not as I do," countered John. When John left to take a phone call, Marlena gave her daughter the exact opposite advice: seize the moment and tell Shawn how she feels. John returned and filled Marlena and Belle in on Shawn's boating misadventure, and Belle left to find him.

Chelsea told Patrick about Shawn's mishap, too, noting that it would be a perfect time to move in on Hope, who could use a shoulder to lean on. Patrick left, and Kate showed up and scolded Chelsea for playing prostitute. It WASN'T the way to get Bo and Billie together. Chelsea said she was only doing what Kate told her to do; then, noted that she and her parents were going to therapy as a family. Everything registered with Kate, who realized Chelsea had set the whole thing up, so Bo and Billie would come to her rescue. Chelsea dubbed Kate her mentor.

At the harbor master's office, Hope went off on Bo about giving Shawn permission to take the boat out. Bo noted that Shawn had been on the water his whole life. Shawn interrupted, admitting that this was his fault. He hadn't followed his dad's rules. Hope ignored him, demanding to know where Bo was while Shawn was fighting for his life. When Bo said he was at the station on business, Hope nailed him. She knew he was saving Chelsea from getting booked as a prostitute. Shawn tried to take the blame for what happened, but Hope told him this was between her and Bo. Hope called Chelsea a user and pointed out that Bo always chose her over their family. On cue, Patrick arrived, and Bo told him to go. Then, Hope sighed that Bo let her down, again, and left. Bo berated Shawn, who took responsibility for everything, but said he forgave him.

On the pier, Patrick convinced Hope to go to Chicago for the weekend. Still, she warned him that she didn't trust him completely. The pair left for Chez Rouge, as Chelsea, who was eavesdropping on their conversation, emerged with a big smile on her face. Chelsea saw Bo coming and hid again. Bo called Hope's cell and left a message that he loved her. Back in the office, Willow told Shawn that she was sorry about everything, but admitted it was "such a rush;" especially the helicopter rescue. Then, she whispered in Shawn's ear, and they began kissing. Belle arrived and watched through the glass doors.

After Sami carried in a cake for Will, who made the basketball team, she and Lucas went back and forth about their non-relationship. Soon, the doorbell rang and in walked Austin and Carrie. The duo were there to see Lucas. Carrie brought annulment papers, which after some squabbling, she and Lucas both signed. Suddenly, The Gloved Hand slipped a note under Sami's door. Lucas grabbed it and read it; then, passed it onto Austin and Carrie. Carrie told Sami what the note said: that Sami forced Lexie to tell Carrie any child she conceived with Austin would have birth defects. Lucas, Carrie and Austin all screamed at Sami and each other about their twisted lives and relationships. Finally, Sami admitted the truth: she blackmailed Lexie by threatening to expose her affair with Tek to Abe. When Carrie chastised Sami, she turned the tables on her, noting that Carrie was the one who decided that having a perfect child was more important than everyone else's happiness. "You broke Austin's heart! You married Lucas for his sperm!" taunted Sami. Carrie lost it and shouted, "I'm going to kill you," as she lunged for Sami's throat.

At Chez Rouge, Tek insisted that Lexie should marry him, despite her insistence that she loved her husband. Lexie begged Abe for a moment alone with Tek, and Abe reluctantly agreed. Tek and Lexie stepped outside, where Lexie called Tek on not being able to handle the word "no" and accused him of harassment. Tek accused Lexie of not owning up to being the sexy, wonderful woman they both know she was. In 10 years, she'd still be young and hot, but stuck pushing Abe around in a wheelchair. Lexie slapped Tek. Abe arrived and said Lexie and Tek's five minutes were up. Lexie proclaimed her affair with Tek over and promised to have Mickey draw up a restraining order against him. Abe told Tek that if he came anyway near his wife, he'd have grounds to kick Tek off the police force.

Over dinner, Hope and Belle discussed Belle's miscarriage, Philip leaving, and the state of things with Shawn. Hope promised that Shawn would help Belle raise Claire. Belle wasn't so sure, based on his behavior of late. Hope urged Belle NOT to give up on Shawn. He loved Belle and Claire. Meanwhile, Victor met Kate at the restaurant and reported that Philip had packed his bags, moved out of the loft, and booked a flight to New York. Victor vowed to find Philip and hoped that somehow he'd forgive them for keeping Claire's paternity a secret. When Kate got a call and had to go, Victor approached Belle to apologize. Belle chastised Victor for not telling her, Philip and Shawn about Claire. Victor insisted he was trying to protect Philip. Belle said it backfired, big time. Victor offered to help Belle, but she refused.

"You know this hooker?" asked the cop hauling Chelsea into the Salem police station. Bo admitted she was his daughter and talked the cop out of booking Chelsea. Then, Bo suggested taking Chelsea home to discuss things. Mimi interrupted, reiterating that she was worried about Shawn, who was out on the Fancy Face with a huge storm coming in. Bo promised to call the harbor master after he tended to Chelsea. Meanwhile, Billie and Chelsea returned home. When Bo arrived, Chelsea went on about not having a family and feeling neglected. Bo told Chelsea that he was onto her. Chelsea wanted to cause a crisis, so her parents would work together to save her and, eventually, reconcile. Bo said that wasn't going to happen and sent Chelsea to her room. Alone with Bo, Billie asked how things were going with Hope. He admitted his wife was still considering a future with Patrick. Billie assured it was only because Patrick was the father of Hope's baby. Bo and Hope belonged together. Billie suggested getting Chelsea therapy, and Bo agreed. After Bo left, Billie discussed counseling with Chelsea. Billie vowed to support a Bo and Hope reconciliation, and Chelsea promised to do the same. But as soon as Billie left the room, Chelsea phoned Patrick and said she just found out something he'd want to know.

Mimi phoned Hope and filled her in on the situation with Shawn. Mimi said she'd tried to get Bo's help, but he was too busy dealing with Chelsea, who'd been arrested for prostitution. Hope was annoyed. The two ladies agreed to meet at the harbor master's office. Then, Hope called Bo's cell and left a message summoning him there, too, IF he cared about his son.

On the Fancy Face, Shawn realized he had a major problem: the wind took the boat past the last buoy and into open water. Shawn ordered Willow into the cabin; then, tried the boat engine, but it wouldn't start. Shawn went into the cabin and tried to call the Coast Guard, to no avail. Shawn told Willow to keep trying, while he went up on deck. As the storm raged, Shawn fell overboard. Willow arrived on deck in time to help pull him back up. Willow explained that she'd reached the Coast Guard, and they were on their way. A helicopter arrived and rescued Shawn and Willow.

Hope and Mimi walked into the harbor master's office and were informed that Shawn and Willow had been rescued. Mimi left before Shawn and Willow arrived. Hope hugged her son and asked why he'd taken the boat out. Shawn noted that Bo said he could, if he wanted. Bo walked in, and Hope announced that their son was safe, no thanks to him.

Billie provided moral support for Steve, who visited Stephanie at the hospital. Stephanie was delighted that her dad remembered her, but not delighted to see Billie hovering around. Steve talked to Stephanie about his memories of her as a baby, and she urged him to give things a chance with Kayla. Steve changed the subject, pointing out the duties of his new daddy role. Namely, keeping the bums away from Stephanie. She said there was only one guy that she was interested in. Knowing it was Max, Steve noted that he had to be dragged away after the accident. In the hall, Kayla arrived and ran into Billie. Billie assured her that if Steve wanted his old life back, she wouldn't stand in his way. Kayla went into Stephanie's room and told Steve that Billie had to leave. Steve offered to get Stephanie a cheeseburger and left. Alone with her mom, Stephanie smiled, certain that they were en route to being a happy family.

Hanging out in full hooker regalia, Chelsea told a guy, who asked if she was for sale, that she was out of his price range. When he started manhandling Chelsea, another guy came to her rescue. Chelsea asked Guy #2 if he wanted some "company," to the tune of $500. The guy whipped out a badge and arrested Chelsea for solicitation, just like the little wench was hoping for.

Lexie met with Tek at the pub and explained that she was going back to Abe. She'd never stopped loving him. Tek professed HIS love for Lexie, and Lexie implored him to let her go. Tek tried to get Lexie to admit her feelings for him and pointed out that Abe couldn't make love to her. Lexie said that was no longer true. She was reconciling with Abe, and Tek had to accept it.

Meanwhile, at the police station, Abe attempted to tie together Eve's murder, the threats against the Bradys, Marlena's kidnapping, the racing accident, etc. Bo came in and said that the cops already had their man: Patrick. Abe reminded Bo that he was off the case and threatened to take away his badge. Bo swore he was not giving up until Patrick "fried" for murder. Abe told Bo that his personal feelings were clouding his judgment and that he'd become a liability on this case. If Patrick was guilty and the Salem PD had a chance of convicting him, they couldn't let anyone think that Bo railroaded him because he'd slept with Hope. Abe cautioned Bo to step back or risk losing his job AND Hope. Still, Bo was adamant about getting Patrick out of Hope's life.

Later, Abe and Lexie met at Chez Rouge. Lexie told him about her meeting with Tek and how she made it clear that her future was with Abe. Abe and Lexie toasted to their future, when Tek interrupted and insisted that Lexie still loved him. Abe ordered Tek to leave. Instead, Tek pulled out a ring and asked Lexie to marry him.

Mimi and Willow headed towards the boat on the docks. As they approached the Fancy Face, Mimi realized that Shawn was the guy Willow was going on about. Shawn emerged, as Mimi turned to Willow and announced, "Meet my husband." Mimi raged that Shawn was just using Willow for sex and called her a slut, while Shawn defended his new girl toy. Mimi stormed off and headed straight to the police station. She told Bo about Shawn and his dalliance with Willow the hooker. Mimi noted that Shawn took the boat out, which concerned Bo since a storm was brewing. Bo was about to go to the docks to talk to the harbor master, when Billie arrived and said that Chelsea had been arrested. Just then, the cops came in with the handcuffed little troublemaker.

Back on the Fancy Face, Shawn and Willow took the boat out for a sail. Shawn told Willow about sailing around the world with his parents as a kid and gave her a quick fishing lesson. The boat hit a wave, and the couple ended up in each other's arms. Shawn and Willow kissed; then, made love as it started to rain. Inside the boat, a warning came over the radio about a brewing storm, instructing all boats to return to port.
