Shawn and Belle basked in the afterglow of their lovemaking. Belle promised to make him happy; he said she already had. Belle's cell phone rang. It was Hope and Bo, calling from Salem. They were so happy to hear their son's voice. Shawn asked how his baby sister was; his parents told him they named her Ciara. Bo asked what Shawn's plan was. Shawn said it was to go to Australia by boat. The doorbell rang. Bo hung up; Hope stayed on the line with Shawn and said they had to talk about Willow. Belle got out of bed. Hope revealed that Willow was in jail for stealing their jewelry and starting a fire. Shawn apologized. Hope then told him that Willow was pregnant with his baby. Shawn said he knew already and believed she was lying. Hope said she felt Willow was telling the truth and shared that she paid Willow's medical bills. Hope warned that Philip was using Willow against Shawn.
Outside, Bo spoke to Billie and asked who stole her security program and installed it in his house. Billie said she had no idea. "Elvis J. Wells, your boss and benefactor," Bo suggested. He then angrily asked how she could go into business with EJ after she knows what he did to the Bradys and John. She said they had no proof. "Come on, Billie. He's a DiMera!" Bo spat, then reminded her of all of the people EJ had hurt (Max, Stephanie, Steve, John, the list goes on.) Billie insisted he was innocent. She then fingered their brother for the crime. "Philip?" Bo replied. Billie told him that Philip called, asking detailed questions about the program, under the guise of wanting to install it at Titan. Billie said she called Philip to follow up, but Victor told her he was out of the country. Bo realized he could be on his way to Tinda Lau. He ran back in, grabbed the phone and told Shawn to get his family off the island right away. They exchanged "I love yous" and hung up. Belle suggested they not run anymore and stay and fight.
Hope told Bo that she wanted to talk to Willow about giving up the baby and letting them raise it. "Yeah, good luck with that," Bo smiled. He also warned that Willow was dangerous. "Yeah, so am I," Hope pointed out.
While waiting to meet the wedding planner at Chez Rouge, Lucas spoke to Sami by cell phone and told her how much he loves her. He hung up; Kate approached him. He told his mother he wasn't in the mood to talk to her. Kate said Mythic was in trouble. Lucas wasn't interested in helping her save the business and said he didn't care if it went under. Kate pointed out that he didn't have a great employment record and should be worried about looking for another job. Lucas told her she was just trying to find excuses to stop the wedding. She said that would happen regardless; Sami always ruins her weddings. Billie joined them at the table. She revealed that someone installed her security program at Bo and Hope's house. Kate said she had no idea what Billie was talking about. She asked where Philip was; Kate insisted she didn't know because he's a grown up and doesn't tell her everything. "Well, none of your children are really grown up, thanks to you, Mom," Lucas cracked. "That's mature; blaming your problems on your mother," Kate retorted. Billie told them to cut it out and told them that Philip used the system to spy on Bo and Hope to learn Belle and Shawn's whereabouts. "So?" Kate asked. Billie was angry that Philip used her. "What's wrong with this family; are we all insane or what?" Billie asked. "Yeah, I think we are. We have Mom to thank for that. She's the queen of the gene pool," Lucas noted. Kate again insisted she didn't know where Philip or EJ was and had nothing to do with Philip taking the security system. Billie said she was leaving Mythic — and that Lucas should, too. Billie stormed off. "Don't plan on getting a lot of presents for Mother's Day," Lucas quipped.
At the hotel, Sami opened the door to Celeste. Celeste asked why they were there; Sami said that EJ was still alive and was coming to get her. She showed Celeste the can of gasoline and reported that the police didn't find a body. Sami demanded that Celeste help her. Celeste said she would do what she could to help, but also suggested that Sami tell Lucas the truth. Sami said she couldn't, then left. Celeste made a call, saying, "I need to see you right away."
Sami arrived at Chez Rouge and began kissing her fiancé, to Kate's disgust. Kate asked Sami where EJ was. Kate then accused Sami of drugging Lucas so she could run off with EJ. Sami ran out of the room, saying she was going to be sick. Lucas warned his mother to back down. In the ladies' room, Sami opened a stall door to find a smoky, unconscious EJ. She screamed loud enough for Lucas to hear in the restaurant.

Marlena visited Hope, who told her about the cabin fire. Marlena wondered if it was arson, saying someone might want EJ dead. (Might!!) When Doc Evans reported that she had some news about the kids, Hope dragged her outside to explain that the Brady house may be bugged. Marlena informed her that Shawn, Belle and Claire are on Tinda Lau, but the conversation was halted by noises coming from the house. The ladies rushed inside, where Hope pulled a gun on a man creeping down the stairs. The stranger, Inspector Ellicott, said that Bo asked him to check out the security system. Hope let him go back to what he was doing and phoned Bo.
On Green Mountain, Lucas, Sami and Kayla were disheartened by Bo's news that EJ wasn't in the fire and was probably once again up to something. Kayla worried that the Brit git might be after Steve and proposed that they break him out of the mental hospital. Bo immediately shot down the idea, but she wouldn't budge, insisting that she could sneak inside and spring Steve. Bo thought that was crazy talk. They were cut off when Bo's phone rang; it was Hope calling to tell him about Belle, Shawn and Claire. Bo and Kayla headed back. At the Brady house, Ellicott turned over spy equipment; Bo realized that Billie's surveillance system was used and figured EJ was behind it. Believing the house was now clean of listening devices, they openly discussed the kids' whereabouts. Bo noted that if he and Hope both flew to the island, they'd arouse EJ's suspicions. Talk turned to Kayla's scheme to get herself committed in order to rescue Steve, which nobody else thought was a sound plan.
Lucas and Sami returned to their hotel suite, where he fumed about EJ. Sami snapped at him to stop talking about Wells. He apologized for upsetting his fiancée and stepped out of the room. Sami received a phone call from a heavy breather, who didn't say anything. Lucas came back into the room and soothed her with talk of domestic bliss. He made Sami laugh by suggesting that they name all their future children after him, just like George Foreman did with his kids. Things got even sillier when he challenged her to an underwear race down the hall and dropped trou. Despite her protests, Lucas double-dog dared her, asking if she's wearing granny underwear. Sami gave in and peeled off her clothes. After he ran out into the hallway, Sami ducked back into the room, locking Lucas out. "Honey, that is so not cool," he called out as she giggled. After raising the eyebrow of a hotel employee, Lucas persuaded Sami to let him back inside. While Lucas went to get some massage oil, she spotted a burned gas can in the bed. Sami hid it when Lucas came back in and kept him busy with passionate smooching.
On Tinda Lau, Shawn swore to Belle that nothing happened with Gabby. Belle assured him that she knows that now and apologized for all the bickering and jealousy. An understanding Shawn tenderly took her hand in his and kissed it. Belle promised to never again doubt him. After a loving heart-to-heart, she reluctantly admitted that she had called her mom. Shawn wasn't angry with her and vowed that Philip won't tear them apart. After making amends, they made love. Back in Salem, Phillip monitored the Brady house. It turned out that the outside of the house was under surveillance, too: He spied on Marlena and Hope's conversation about Tinda Lau and took off!

On Tinda Lau, Shawn and Gabby searched for a missing Belle and Claire. Once they left the room, Belle returned with her daughter and placed a call to Salem. She reached Marlena, who'd been cuddling an unconscious John in his hospital bed. Belle asked her mom to help her return home, revealing that she, Claire and Shawn are staying at the only hotel on the tiny, South Pacific island. She cried about how homesick she is and confided that her relationship with Shawn headed south because she played "ice princess" and lost him to another woman. Marlena counseled her daughter to make things right with Shawn. Belle asked her mom to let Bo and Hope know where their son is, but not right away, then recounted her dream about John. Marlena was surprised to hear that her daughter dreamed of John holding a coin, which sounded identical to the one she and John had once tossed into a fountain in Italy. Marlena was curious as to why Belle would dream of the coin since neither she nor John had ever mentioned it to their daughter. After she hung up, Belle found a note thanking Gabby for the previous night; she was stunned to see that it's from Charlie and not Shawn, meaning that Shawn didn't have sex with Gabby after all. Gabby launched into a shrill verbal attack, upbraiding her rival for worrying Shawn and playing mind games. Shawn turned up and took Belle to task. After closing the door for privacy, Belle admitted that he was right and said it was time to lay all their cards on the table.
Over dinner with Kayla and Bo at Chez Rouge, Stephanie lashed out at her mother for continuing to stand by Steve. "Are you that desperate?" she sniped. Bo admonished his niece not to sass her mother, but she kept up her rant until Kayla slapped her across the face. Stephanie admitted that she felt neglected because Kayla is so preoccupied with Steve; she urged her mom to not mollycoddle Steve or continue to let him rule her life. Kayla maintained that threatening to turn her back on Steve would just be an empty threat, since he knows Kayla would never really walk away. Stephanie felt otherwise and declared that her father is dead to her. Bo scolded his niece for slamming her parents' relationship, but she argued that she wouldn't watch her mom throw her life away before sailing off in a huff.
In their romantic hotel suite, Sami told Lucas she wasn't going to let Kate bother her anymore. Luke was pleasantly surprised by Sami's newfound optimism. When he cracked about EJ getting hit by a bus, Sami was rattled. Lucas explained that he was just joking. Sami steered the conversation to their honeymoon and suggested that instead of a cruise, they go to New Orleans to help hurricane victims. Lucas liked the idea so much that noisy lovemaking ensued. Their second go-round was interrupted by a call from Roman, who notified Lucas that EJ may have died in a cabin fire on Green Mountain. The news delighted Lucas, who got ready to head to the cabin to make sure his nemesis is really dead. A reluctant Sami accompanied her fiancée.
Still at Chez Rouge with his sister, Bo also received a phone call about Elvis's reported death. Bo invited Kayla to join him on an investigative trip to the cabin. When they got to the site of the fire, they ran into Lucas and a visibly shaken Sami. After sleuthing a bit, Bo returned with news: No body was found in the rubble, if EJ was in the cabin when it burned, he'd escaped.
Back at the hospital, Marlena lovingly murmured to John. She thought back to Belle saying that in the dream, John held a coin in his right hand and wondering to her mom if he's still holding it. "Oh, this is so crazy," Marlena sighed as she slowly opened John's hand. He was holding a coin! "It's true, you're still here," she cried.

With a trapped EJ calling for help, Sami broke from Celeste's grip and bolted back to the blazing cabin. The raging fire prevented her from getting to EJ, which was just fine with Celeste, who continued to press Sami to let the fiend die. When sirens sounded in the distance, Sami gave up and fled with Celeste.
After spending the night on the sofa, Shawn returned to his room on Tinda Lau, but Belle didn't open the door. Assuming she took Claire out to the beach, he asked Gabby (who was apologetic for the previous evening's seduction attempt) for a passkey and let himself in. Belle was nowhere to be found and Shawn saw that her and Claire's belongings were missing. Gabby spotted a note, which she handed over to Shawn before leaving him alone. Shawn read the good-bye letter, which explained that Belle was returning to Salem and would stand up to Philip. In the note, she urged Shawn to also go back home. A flashback to tender Shawn/Belle moments ensued. Gabby returned and said that she'd asked around, but nobody had seen Belle and Claire. When Gabby again expressed supposed remorse over kissing him, Shawn said that the kiss was a good thing because it made him realize how much he loves Belle. Not exactly what the temptress wanted to hear, but she still persuaded him to accept her assistance. Shawn gave her a peck on the cheek, then gazed at a snapshot of Belle and Claire.
While a sedated Lucas slept inside, Kate banged at his hotel room door with an ax until a hotel employee came by and stopped her. She argued that her son was in danger and managed to get a key to the room. When she burst in, a groggy Lucas asked what his mother was doing there and where Sami was. Kate announced that Sami eloped with EJ. Just after she noted that the "little witch" was finally out of their lives; a robed Sami emerged from the bathroom, where she claimed to have just showered. Kay's jaw dropped. Sami played dumb about the elopement. Kate's sputtering about trying to break down the door with an ax totally didn't help her case, but she kept it up, so Lucas started yelling at her, then hustled Kate out of the room. Sami beamed with delight as Kate clung to the doorframe, refusing to leave. Sami told her fiancée to let his mad mama back into the room, where they both continued to scoff at her charges. Lucas got rid of the ambulance that Kate had summoned (because she thought Lucas was in trouble), then returned to the suite, where he informed Kate that he's a man, not a child. Kate declared that she'll never give up on trying to save him from Sami, then marched off, leaving Lucas to kiss and cuddle with Sami, who thought back to EJ's cries for help.
Bo met Kayla and Stephanie at Chez Rouge. They triumphantly discussed Steve's decision to come forward on how EJ brainwashed him into stealing John's kidney and wondered why that nice Dr. Kraft was no longer treating Steve. Little did they know that at the state hospital, Steve's new doctor had him strapped down while he administered electric shocks and creepily repeated that Steve is "one of us." A short time later, Kayla, Bo and Stephanie arrived at the hospital; Bo produced a tape recorder to take down Steve's statement. A dazed, emotionless Steve said he didn't know what they were talking about. When Kayla noticed a burn mark from an electrode on Steve's head, she and Bo hurried off to see his doctor. Stephanie stayed behind and pleaded with her father to expose EJ, saying that he'd do it if he loves her. "I guess I don't love you," said Steve, which drove his daughter to tears. In the hallway, Dr. Granger smooth-talked Kayla and Bo and denied using electroshock therapy. When Kayla demanded to be informed of all future decisions regarding Steve's care, Dr. Granger replied her that a court order decision rendered him as Steve's sole guardian. The doc said that he was going to restrict Kayla's visits and threatened to have security remove her from the premises. Just then, Stephanie started banging on the door of Steve's room, crying to be let out. When the guard opened the door, she ran out in tears with Kayla hot on her heels. Bo accused the doctor of taking orders from EJ and promised that he'd be back. Granger went into Steve's room to note that he wouldn't be seeing his wife and daughter for a while, but that he still "has us." He went on to say that based on Steve's actions, it looks like "they" still have Steve.

On the island, Shawn confronted Belle about warning Gabby to steer clear of him. Shawn accused Belle of sending a mixed message: She's not having sex with him, but doesn't want another woman to have him either. Shawn chided her lack of trust, then announced he was going to bed. Later, there was a knock on the door; it was Gabby, who claimed she needed Shawn's help with the GPS. After Shawn left, Belle had a dream about getting romantic advice from John. In Gabby's room, Shawn fixed the GPS and turned to leave. Gabby kept trying to stall him, then finally kissed Shawn, but he pushed her away. Gabby launched into some trash-talk about how Belle treats him like a brother, not a lover and continued to push herself on Shawn, who said Belle's right, they need to rethink traveling with Gabby to Australia. There was rap at the door, it was Belle, who was looking for Shawn. When it turned out that, as she suspected, Shawn was in Gabby's room, Belle turned on her heel and left. When a glum Shawn told Gabby he was going to sleep on the sofa, she offered her room, but he again turned her down and walked off. Belle had second thoughts and went in search of Shawn, but she stopped when she heard sexy sounds coming from Gabby's room. When Belle walked off, it was revealed that Gabby was with some other guy. That was fast!
Kayla brought Stephanie to the state hospital, where they found a badly beaten Steve. Steph pleaded with her father to name the person behind his troubles, but he kept mum. Kayla started to tend to Steve's wounds. When he mentioned that Kayla had broken their deal, Stephanie learned that he'd tried to keep his hospitalization from her. Stephanie declared that she's quitting the race team and coming back to Salem to take care of her dad. Absolutely not, protested Steve. Stephanie made a heartfelt plea to her dad, who relented and agreed to go to the authorities about EJ.
At Chez Rouge, Abe and Roman discussed Abe's upcoming corneal operation. Their dinner was interrupted when Kay rushed up to say Sami was about to do something awful: elope with EJ. Roman pooh-poohed Kate's concerns, but she demanded to be heard. She reported that can't get in touch with Lucas. She went on to say that she called EJ, but he dropped the phone and she heard a woman call out Sami's name. A dismissive Roman advised her to "sleep it off" and to go see Marlena in the morning because she's out of her mind. Kate kept at it, adding that the woman's voice sounded like Celeste, which elicited a chuckle from a skeptical Abe.
At the cabin, Sami stood over an unconscious EJ with a lit match, but couldn't bring herself to kill him. Sami blew out the match, then delivered a soliloquy about how she won't allow EJ to destroy her future with Lucas. Sami lit another match, saying it was for John and her mother; she then listed the baddie's other victims, which needless to say took quite some time. Celeste arrived to find out what was holding up Sami. They were cut short by a phone call from Abe, who asked if Celeste knew anything about Sami running off with EJ. Celeste lied that Sami was with Lucas. When EJ began to stir in his sleep, Sami freaked. He started to come to and murmured that he smelled gasoline. She quieted him with a long kiss, delivering some more of the sedative via her drugged lipstick. She fled with Celeste, but remembered her suitcase was inside. When Sami re-entered the cabin, EJ wasn't on the sofa. He crept up behind Sami, which made her shriek. He gripped her and asked what she'd done to him before collapsing. He weakly called out her name as Sami hurried off.
Back at Chez Rouge, Kate continued to badger Roman and Abe. Roman finally agreed to look into the situation. When he stepped away, Kate again tried to reach Lucas, who was in a deep sleep. In the meantime, Kayla and Stephanie arrived at the restaurant to tell Roman and Abe that Steve is ready to expose EJ.... At the state hospital, Steve met Dr. Granger, who said he'd taken over the patient's case. Steve told him that he was going to name the person who had put him in the hospital, but Granger pulled out a devil tarot card and proclaimed, "You're still one of us."... Roman told Kate he couldn't help her out after all because something had come up. She stormed off.... A blaze erupted in the cabin. Sami was horrified to hear EJ's cries for help.
