At Maggie's, Mia confided to Brady that she never did drugs or alcohol and explained that she lied to a friend about being in rehab because she didn't want him to know the truth. Will came in at that moment but excused them to let them talk. "He doesn't know about the baby," Brady deduced. Mia confirmed it and explained that she was trying to cover her pregnancy with the rehab story. Brady urged her to keep the secret about Sydney, then took off. Will could tell Mia was upset and asked why. She explained that she lied about her addiction and that she doesn't go to meetings every night like she said. He didn't understand why she lied, but said he was still her friend.

Arianna overheard Rafe ordering flowers for Sami. She warned her brother that she thought Sami was a "bitch on wheels" and that she would surely break his heart. Things got awkward when she referenced Rafe and Sami's sex life. Arianna asked what Rafe even saw in Sami. Rafe tried to explain it to her and asked what Arianna had against her. Arianna said she had heard stories about Sami and again warned him to be careful.

Sami demanded to know what was going on at the DiMera mansion, but EJ told her it was none of her business. He assured Sami that Johnny would be safe.

At the K manse, a drugged Philip looked for Stephanie, then passed out on the living room floor. Steph, meanwhile, had been kidnapped by Owen and put in the morgue, in a drawer. Owen called EJ, but Sami grabbed the phone before EJ could answer. EJ grabbed it back. It fell and broke. EJ was peeved, as was Sami for him even thinking of taking a call during their discussion. EJ ordered her out. Back at the morgue, Owen panicked that he couldn't get EJ on the line. Owen's father, Walter, came in and asked what Owen was doing. Owen quickly hid Stephanie and asked his father why he was there. Walter explained that his mortician's convention had been pushed back. Owen covered that he was thinking of making a career change to work at the morgue. Walter advised him to stay out of trouble and left. Owen noted that Steph's earring was missing.

Daniel found Philip on the floor of the mansion and called an ambulance. Philip came to, overheard Dr. J on the phone and refused to leave and go to the hospital. Daniel canceled the ambulance. He feared Philip was drugged again and gave him a new prescription. Phil said he just wanted to stay home with his fiancée. Daniel was surprised by his news and wondered if it was the right time to be getting married. Phil said it was and went to look for Steph. When he returned, he told Daniel he couldn't find her.

Sami returned home. Rafe showed up with the flowers and noticed that she had lost some of her voice. She explained that she fought with EJ and lost it. She said she wanted Johnny to come home. Rafe said he would talk to EJ but Sami blurted out no. Rafe insisted he would protect her and would deal with EJ. Sami, moved by everything he said, grabbed him and kissed him.

Arianna came out of the Brady Pub as Brady was leaving a message for Nicole about Mia. He accused her of eavesdropping. She noted that he was in a public place and perhaps shouldn't talk there if he didn't want to be heard. He asked what she heard him say, but she told him she didn't hear a thing. He introduced himself, but she wasn't into making nice after he had been so rude. He pressed and told her he was Brady Black. When she heard his name, she worried she'd be fired from the Pub. He said he didn't have anything bad to say to Caroline about her. "I actually have a soft spot for feisty types," he smirked.

EJ found one of Stefano's secret cell phones and was relieved he could call Owen. Owen didn't pick up the phone, though.
