From the adjacent morgue drawer, Philip called out to Stephanie. She was relieved to hear his voice. She told him of her ordeal. He vowed to get them out. He tapped on the wall. She broke down in happy tears and touched her side of the wall to simulate touching hands. Philip texted Brady and Melanie to come rescue them.

In the Kiriakis mausoleum, Melanie freaked out that she and Brady were trapped. Brady calmed her down. She got spooked when she saw flowers on the floor, thinking it was a rat. Brady then pulled a MacGyver and asked if she had an underwire bra on. He played around with the wire and the cell phone to get service. The phone died and then Brady realized that Isabella was in the mausoleum. Brady opened up to Melanie about how his late mother died soon after he was born, but he felt she was always watching over him. Melanie told him she'd have been proud of her son.

Bo and Hope went to the Kiriakis mansion. Lucas answered the door but told them that Victor was out. The Bradys insisted they were there as family. Lucas let them in. They revealed that both Philip and Brady were missing. Lucas blabbed that Brady had been disowned the night before. Bo asked if they could take a look around. Lucas said okay. Henderson came in and asked if the duo had a search warrant. They didn't, so they took Henderson in for questioning. They took him to the Brady Pub for an informal chat and asked when he had last seen Brady. Henderson reported that he saw Brady with Melanie near the cemetery earlier. The Bradys let him go.

Kate walked onto the terrace of the K manse and found Chloe and Daniel hugging. She expressed her disappointment. Chloe quickly explained that Daniel was consoling her because Victor had insulted her. "Oh, poor, poor sensitive Chloe," Kate snarked. Daniel defended his former lover. Kate called out for Lucas to join them on the terrace. Chloe insisted to Kate that she loved Lucas and she and Daniel swore they had stayed away from each other. Kate again called out for her son. Chloe implored her to keep mum. Lucas came out and asked what Kate had to tell him. Kate was mum, so Chloe covered that everyone was just tense. Daniel noted that Kate looked pale and asked her to get some air. He pulled the "I saved-your-life-and-Philip's-so-keep-your-mouth-shut" card to keep her from telling Lucas what was going on. Lucas, meanwhile, pressed Chloe, noting that she was trying to change the subject like she did when he told her and Maggie that he was starting to remember the night he was drinking. She said that wasn't true and insisted she wasn't hiding anything and that she loved him. Lucas wondered if their marriage was a mistake. Chloe cried that it wasn't and told him she was the screwed up one. They made up. He assured her he loved her and had never been happier.

After a chat with Daniel, Kate decided to resume her revenge plot against Chloe and Daniel.

Owen was dismayed that his father canceled his trip. Walter wondered if Owen was in trouble, but Owen insisted he wasn't. Walter said he had to stick around to take care of the body that had just come in from University Hospital. They went to the morgue. Walter heard noises and asked if someone else was in there. He went to investigate. Owen let Steph out and said it was now or never for them to leave. Philip listened in. She seemed hesitant about going, which angered Owen. He pulled a gun on her. Philip heard her distress and tried to kick his way out of the morgue drawer. Owen heard him and turned around. During the distraction, Steph grabbed Owen's gun and pulled it on him. "You sick bastard. I'm not going anywhere with you," she declared. Owen lunged after her. Philip freed himself. Owen grabbed the gun and held it on Phil and Steph.

Bo and Hope went to investigate in the cemetery and found Melanie's hospital ID badge.
