Owen held Stephanie and Philip at gunpoint. Philip charged him and a battle ensued. Owen grabbed Stephanie in a chokehold. Philip lied that Steph was pregnant to distract Owen. It worked; Steph hurried off. Philip started punching Owen.

EJ told Nicole that he had to find Owen — fast. He got a call from Lexie, then reported to Nicole that Stefano was doing better. She hoped she could improve her relationship with the Phoenix. Nicole revealed to EJ that Rafe was planning to adopt Grace. He was very bothered and said he wouldn't allow it. Nicole questioned his reaction. EJ didn't want "that loser" around Johnny, he explained. Nicole pointed out that it wasn't his decision to make. EJ asked why she was being so negative. She worried he would only make things worse, then added that it was hard for him to walk away from situations when Sami was involved. "Isn't it a little bit obvious? You are jealous of Rafe," she told him. He retorted that she was the one who was jealous — of Sami. She asked him to prove to her that he wasn't jealous of Rafe by choosing his family and not going to see Sami.

Rafe came by Sami's apartment and they got passionate. He surprised her by showing her the adoption forms, which he had already filled in and had notarized. Sami was touched and expressed how lucky she is to have him in her life. They were about to go for a round two when Grace began crying. Rafe said he would get her since he was Grace's father. Sami came out to see how the baby was. Rafe noted she was warm. They attributed it to teething. Sami restated how happy she was because of him. They kissed. Rafe left for his new construction job. Sami called the doctor to confirm an appointment for the next day. She then realized that something was very wrong with her baby.

Hope and Bo searched for Brady and Melanie in the cemetery. In the Kiriakis mausoleum, Brady spied some high windows and thought it might be a way out. Melanie was dubious. He began scaling the wall, then fell to the ground. Melanie screamed. Brady came to. They heard the Bradys calling for them. Bo and Hope freed them and the foursome headed to the morgue to save Phil and Steph. Brady and the Bradys came in during the fight between Philip and Owen and broke it up. Philip pulled Steph into his arms and promised her it was done. Melanie came in during their embrace and wasn't thrilled. Hope hauled Owen to the station. Bo asked if his niece was okay. Steph said she was and added that she'd call her parents to talk. Bo kissed her forehead and headed out. Melanie and Brady caught up with Phil and Steph. Steph thanked Melanie. "You were risking your life to help me out and I'll never forget that," Steph said. After, Philip urged Steph to open up to him about her ordeal.

Brady went back to the mausoleum to "talk to" Isabella. He thanked her for looking out for him and told her he loved her. Melanie watched him.

Will joined Mia at the Brady Pub. She told him that she might have to leave Salem for good because her cousin was moving away. Lucas came in during their chat and Will introduced his father to Mia. Will went to take a call; Lucas asked Mia about her friendship with his son. She said they studied together. Lucas picked up her books and a 12-step pamphlet fell out. Lucas asked if Will had been drinking. Mia said it wasn't Will, it was her, explaining that she had been in rehab. Lucas revealed to her that he was a recovering alcoholic and wished her luck. Lucas took off. He passed Will on the way out and warned his son to be careful with Mia. Will insisted they were just friends. "No, no you're not," Lucas replied. He suggested Will steer clear of her. Will vowed that he would never give up Mia. Mia overheard.
