Brady and Arianna made out on the Kiriakis terrace. He carried her to a lounge chair. Daniel walked in on them and apologized. Brady made introductions. An embarrassed Ari hurried out. Daniel asked Brady for help with saving Chloe. Brady admitted he felt Dan was innocent and agreed to help. Victor walked in and asked what was going on. Daniel explained that he asked Brady to help. Victor thought it was a good idea.

In the hospital, Chloe appeared to get worse but then she rallied.

Nathan and Stephanie shared beers at the Cheatin' Heart. He noted that she was distracted. She admitted she didn't like the way things ended with Melanie. He said he didn't, either. Steph offered to call her and calm her down. "Right now?" he asked. She explained that it was the right thing to do and to prevent Mel from doing anything destructive. Nathan took the phone out of her hand and pointed out that nobody owed Melanie an apology. Nate was tired of talking about it and asked Steph to take a walk.

On the pier, Melanie offered to make Philip feel better. He asked how. She noted that he would never have peace of mind until he figured out what Steph meant to him. Philip took off. He got home in time to hear Victor assuring Daniel that he was family and he was proud of him. Philip asked to speak to Victor — alone. They bickered. Philip quit. Again. "For good," he declared. Phil then explained that Carlo's death was the last straw and he couldn't be part of the family business anymore. Vic suspected Stephanie had something to do with it. Phil insisted she didn't and stormed out. He left Steph a message that he had to talk to her, then spied Steph with Nathan, eating cotton candy. Philip punched him then started pummeling him. Steph broke it up. Phil tried to talk to her, but she said she was tired of the drama and didn't want to hear what he had to say.

Ari returned to the Pub and took out her equipment to weigh the cocaine. There was a knock at the door; it was Melanie, who needed to talk. Ari hurried her out and locked the door, which made Mel a little suspicious. Mel took off. Arianna took out the drugs again and began weighing. When she was done, she opened the door to leave and found Brady standing there. He apologized for the interruption earlier and said he was helping Daniel with something. He went to kiss her, then spied a bag of cocaine on the floor and picked it up. "What is that?" Ari asked, acting confused.

In the Cheatin' Heart, Daniel had a fantasy about Chloe. A brunette tried to pick him up, but he wasn't interested.

A freaked-out Bo found Ciara's teddy bear in the woods. Hope came running over and they both called out for their daughter. The cops arrived and started searching. Bo and Hope returned to the station and gave the other cops specific instructions about what to do to find Ciara. Bo wanted to call a neighboring town's police chief to get them involved. Bo demanded to know how Ciara got the bear back and angrily asked Hope if she gave it to her. "No! How could you even think that?" Hope exclaimed. An officer came in and revealed that the search came up empty.

In a cabin, creepy guy held Ciara, who wanted to go home. He told her not to be scared. He also told her to remain silent or else she'd never see her parents again. He then tied her up and put a blindfold on and ear phones with music in her ears. Dean the cop and his girlfriend came in. Kyle (the creepy guy) gave them an update. Dean took off. Kyle took off Ciara's blindfold. She said she wanted her mommy. Dean's mean girlfriend told Ciara to shut up.

At the station, Bo and Hope received a ransom note, asking for a hefty sum. Justin left to talk to Victor about it. Hope realized that the kidnappers had seen the clipping of her and the story of her donation in the paper. Hope blamed herself. Justin arrived at the manse and told Victor that Ciara had been kidnapped.... Dean came in to the station join the search team.

Melanie found a dejected Philip on a park bench. She noticed he had a cut on his face. He said he was fine, then kissed her.
