At Chez Rouge, Kate met with the producer and director of the show HEROES AMONG US that wanted to feature Sami. Sami joined them in progress. Kate urged her to tell the whole story, with all the details. Sami told her tale, while Kate pressed her for specifics. One of the men, Harry, asked Sami to take them to the cabin and re-enact what happened. They told her that someone from payroll would contact her to buy the rights to her story. Sami thanked Kate for hooking her up with the guys. Once alone, Kate apologized to Sami for trying to mess things up between her and Lucas. Sami was happy and told Kate she was heading home to tell Lucas about the show and how they had made peace. They hugged awkwardly. After Sami left, Kate summoned the men back to the table and they all had a chuckle about how they were actually private investigators and she was setting up Sami.

EJ came to Lucas's apartment to go over some of Mythic's financial statements. He revealed to Lucas that Kate was organizing a press conference with all the big business magazines. The two bickered, especially over Sami. EJ insisted that his interest in Sami is in the past. Lucas said he didn't want to work with EJ; EJ offered to make him the head of PR, with lots of perks, but Lucas didn't bite. Will came home and was less than thrilled to see EJ in his apartment. EJ took off. Will noted to Lucas that his dad needed a job with the new baby on the way. Lucas told him to keep that quiet. EJ returned with a PlayStation 3 for Will, but Will refused it. Sami came home, so EJ left. She told Lucas about the show; he was thrilled for her. He then dropped the bomb that he can't work with EJ. He added that EJ was fishing around about whether or not Sami and Lucas were going to have more kids. EJ came back yet again to invite Lucas, Sami and Will to the company retreat in Manhattan.

Belle panicked that Shawn was in jail. Chelsea and Nick tried to calm her down. Chelsea and Belle had an emotional heart-to-heart. At the station, Shawn tried to get the cops to release him, to no avail. Shawn said he was good for the bail. "Pillow" (Philip and Willow) showed up and urged the cop not to trust Shawn. Phil and Shawn squared off. Phil vowed to find Claire and walked off. He asked the cop where they found Shawn and showed the court order granting him custody of Claire. Wilow taunted Shawn. Merle came back to the safe house and told a rattled Belle that "Pillow" had arrived in Canada. Nick headed to the station to bail out Shawn. Chelsea said she'd protect them from Philip if he came. "My bite is worse than my bark," she remarked. Belle packed up. Philip came to the safe house, banging on the door like a madman. Nick arrived at the station. Shawn was relieved to see him. He explained that Chelsea volunteered to deliver the money. Shawn was suspicious, but wanted out, so he didn't care. They called for Pete the cop. Pete revealed that Philip was accusing Shawn of kidnapping.

What was the amount Shawn's bail?

On the plane, Chelsea fell asleep on Nick's shoulder. He sneezed, which woke her up. She noticed that his eyes were weird, his skin was clammy and his heart was beating fast. "Are you in love?" she asked. Some turbulence hit; Chelsea was nervous, so Nick calmed her down. The two took a couples quiz in Bridal Guide magazine. They wound up in an embarrassingly loud discussing about virginity, which drew the attention of the entire First Class cabin. Chelsea asked if he was a virgin. "No, I'm not," he replied. She asked if he had slept with the older woman. He wouldn't say. "Was it Abby?" she smiled. "She's my cousin!" he reminded her. She then asked about Stephanie. He still wouldn't answer. He asked Chelsea if she was a virgin. "Please," she replied. He asked how many men she had been with. She counted 10. He didn't believe her and pressed her to tell the truth or name names. She said she would if he would give up the name of the woman he slept with. He went back to his Sudoku puzzle. She went to the bathroom. When she came back, she apologized for making fun of his sex life and said he was cute in an "ultimate frisbee" kind of way. She also admitted that she Google-d him to learn more about him. He told her she could ask him anything. They chatted about his high school and college life.

At the safe house, Belle woke up in Shawn's arms and remarked happily that Claire had slept through the night. She said they needed baby food; he said he'd buy it. She thanked him for making Claire feel safe, and noted that it's the same way John made her feel. "I'm not your dad, Belle," he demurred. Merle came back and alerted everyone that the cops were about to raid the safe house. The cops arrived outside; Claire cried. All of the transients hid, then made their escape. Belle sang to her daughter. Shawn told her to go. He looked around, took a can of beer and sprayed it on himself. He opened the door, pretending to be drunk. The cops took him away. Belle was alarmed to find him gone. Another mom gave Belle a bottle to feed Claire and urged her to have faith. Chelsea and Nick arrived. Belle was thrilled to see them. Merle reported that Shawn got arrested. Nick assured her it would all be okay.

Philip was handcuffed to a chair in the airport security office. Carson, the "toy cop," as Philip called him, was not amused by Phil's rich boy whining. Willow came in and Phil accused her of having something to do with him being held up. She denied it. Carson left the room; Philip told Willow to free him. She said no. He accused her of working with Bo and Hope. She said she wasn't and was on his side. "You better be," he snarled. Victor came to the office and got his son freed. They argued over Philip's hot-headedness over Shawn, Belle and Claire. "You're obsessed," Victor hissed. Victor reported that Belle tried to sell the ring Philip bought her. Phil wanted to call the Toronto PD and report the kidnapping, but Victor convinced him to go up there himself. Carson took Philip to another room to officially release him. Willow came back in eating an ice cream cone and told Vic she was accompanying Phil to Canada. She offered Vic a lick, but he said no. Her cone was dripping, so she went to get napkins. Phil came back. Victor asked his son why he was traveling with that "appalling woman." Was there "Pillow" sex going on, Vic queried. Phil said it was because Willow hates Shawn, too. Phil made a reference to Machiavelli's The Prince, reminding Vic to keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Papa K told him to be careful. "Pillow" headed to Canada.

Lucas and Sami dined at Chez Rouge with Kate. Lucas asked his mother for a job. Things got uncomfortable when a bearded EJ joined them, showing the headline of the paper that declared he was free of all charges. "A miscarriage of justice. What else is new in this town?" Lucas sneered. EJ insisted he wasn't a killer. Kate brought up the job. EJ said that it would be a coup to have Lucas at Mythic. Lucas claimed he didn't want the job anyway. EJ told Lucas to let him know if Lucas changes his mind. EJ moved to another table; Kate urged Lucas to reconsider EJ's offer and called her son a fool. Sami jumped to his defense. Kate apologized. Lucas pointed out that EJ is a murderer and a DiMera. "Lucas, half of Salem has DiMera blood," Kate accurately countered. Sami told Lucas she'd stand behind whatever decision he made. Lucas went over to talk to EJ and told him to stay away from Sami. He also asked him to move out of their building. "Anything else?" EJ smirked. Lucas replied that he still doesn't trust him. EJ was pleased. He then fished around and asked if Sami and Lucas were going to add to their family. Lucas lied that they didn't plan to have any more children. EJ then pulled papers out of his pocket for Lucas to sign on with Mythic. Lucas agreed. Back at the table, Kate asked Sami why Lucas was in such a rush to get a job. For security, Sami explained. Kate then announced that she met with a producer the night before, where she discussed Sami's heroic rescue of Lucas and that the producer wants to tell her story on TV. "You could be a real star. How does that sound to you?" Kate asked. Sami was intrigued, but suspicious. She asked why Kate was so interested all of a sudden. She said because Sami saved her son and she was hoping to make up for everything in the past. Lucas returned to the table and told them he took EJ up on his offer. Sami told Lucas about the TV show. They left. Sami and EJ shared a look on the way out. Kate joined EJ at the bar for a drink and asked what he was up to. He played coy. She left. Alone, EJ toasted to him and Samantha, "the perfect pair."

In the safe house in Toronto, Shawn got into it with two beer-guzzling dudes who were cranking tunes. He asked them to turn the volume down because of Claire — and so that the cops wouldn't catch them. An officer showed up. Shawn hid, as did the guys. Shawn returned to Belle and Claire, who was fussy because she's teething. Shawn said he'd go to the pharmacy, but Belle was worried he'd get caught. He left anyway. Claire cried, which got the other people in the safe house angry. They told Belle to quiet the baby. Belle took her outside. Shawn found her there and asked why she was outside. She told him what happened. He gave Claire some medicine and they went back inside. The cop returned and banged on the door.

En route to the airport, Nick and Chelsea tried to evade Philip and Willow ("Pilllow"). Nick took a detour, which unnerved Chelsea. He told her not to worry. Nick parked the car, advised her to lock the doors and left. Philip got into the back seat while Nick was gone ... because Chelsea didn't lock the doors. Chelsea told him to beat it. "Or what? Clark Kent Jr. will hit me with a slide rule?" Phil cracked. He asked if she was on her way to Toronto. She lamely covered that they were going to a movie. Phil knew she was lying. Nick returned and told Philip to get out of his car. Phil said he'd be behind them the whole way. Once back on the road, Nick told Chelsea she'd have to find a way to distract Philip at he airport. At the security check in, Chelsea pouted that she had to sit on the aisle. Nick said he didn't want the aisle, either. She said that as the woman, she should get her way. Nick spied Pillow and told Chelsea to go distract Phil. Willow was thrilled to see that she and Phil were flying First Class. Chelsea came over. Phil told Willow to scram so they could talk alone. Chelsea pulled him away and pretended that she wanted to tell him where Shawn and Belle were hiding. A testy Philip gave her two minutes. Chelsea stalled while Nick went through Philip's bag. "Where are they?" Philip demanded. "They're in CANADA! Pay attention!" Chelsea yelled in his ear, then stormed off. Phil was peeved. She returned to Nick, who commended her on her performance. They went through security with no problem. Philip was stopped because of a "Code 7" — a knife was found in his bag. The guards pulled their guns and took him away. Chelsea and Nick got on board. Philip told Willow to call his father.

Philip confronted Max at the garage. They had a shoving match. Max ordered Philip out of his garage. Not before Max helps him find Claire, Phil replied. Max laughed at him. Phil offered to buy Max a new race car — in cash — if he turned over Shawn and Belle. Max refused. Phil lost it (referencing his combat injury) and begged Max to help him. Max still said no.

At Chez Rouge, Hope and Maggie cooed over the baby. Willow arrived. "Just the person I wanted to see," she smirked. Maggie told her she had no business being there. Willow said it was Hope she needed to see. Willow plopped herself down, then remarked to Maggie that she owed her one last paycheck. Maggie got up to see if it had arrived. Willow dropped the bomb on Hope that she's pregnant with Shawn's baby. Hope said she was no fool and that Willow's former career as a hooker made pregnancy an occupational hazard. Willow insisted it was Shawn's, then produced a note from her OB/GYN that she was pregnant for real. Hope said it didn't prove anything, then warned Willow to leave her family alone.

At the Pub, Chelsea insisted she was the right person to bring Shawn the money. Kayla said that she was family and the police would be watching her, too. "I'm like the black lamb," she pointed out. "Sheep, sheep," Nick corrected. Bo pooh-poohed the plan, as did Steve and Kayla. Chelsea said she wanted to do it for the family. Kayla warned her against getting involved with Victor. Chelsea made a passionate plea to Bo; Nick backed her up. Bo finally gave in, but said she couldn't travel alone. Nick quickly volunteered to go with her. After, Chelsea apologized to Bo for all of her past misdeeds. Hope came to the Pub and reported to Bo about her conversation with Willow. Bo calmed his wife down, then told her Shawn called and that Chelsea was bringing him the money. Hope wasn't too sure about the plan.

Abby called Jennifer in London to get some motherly advice about the rest of her life. After, she headed to the garage, where she quit to a shirtless Max. She handed him a shirt. "Why? So you can't see my heart breaking," he joked. She explained that she was going to college with Chelsea. He asked what it was really about and wondered if she was upset that he was dating Mimi. They worked it out and parted as friends.

Nick came to the restaurant to tell Maggie of his travel plans. A lurky Willow interrupted their conversation to get her check, then Maggie kicked her out. She loitered around the front entrance of the restaurant, then called Philip and said she had info. He met her at the restaurant and asked what she wanted. She told him of Nick's travel plans to help Shawn and Belle and added that she wanted to travel there with Philip, just so she could see the look on Shawn's face when he took Claire away. "Wow, you do hold a grudge," he replied. Abby came to the restaurant; Phil called out to her, but she didn't recognize him. They chatted. She spied Willow and got uncomfortable, so she went inside. Willow asked if he thought Abby was on to them. "I doubt it," he noted. Abby told Maggie that she saw Phil and Willow ("Pillow"?) together and it looked like they were up to something. Maggie sent her to the Salem Inn to warn Nick and Chelsea.

Alone at the hotel, Kayla asked Steve to tell her what really happened on the road. He admitted he had another episode. She told him she spoke to Marlena and then urged him to make an appointment at the hospital to undergo hypnosis. He didn't like that she spoke to Marlena, but agreed to consider it. He said he wanted to talk to Benji first and get some answers. Chelsea and Nick came by Steve and Kayla's room to get the money and some last-minute advice. Chelsea was all smiles and ready for the task. They left. Abby tracked them down, explaining she ran 10 blocks in 15 minutes, and told them about the "Pillow" talk.

Max and Mimi went to Roman's office, with the skeleton from the church basement in tow. Roman asked where they found it. "In the backyard," she replied, then added that she thought her mother and brother had something to do with it. "What the hell is this really all about?" Roman barked. A concerned Mimi asked him not to call her family down to the station and asked if she could first get a DNA test on the bones. Roman was reluctant to let them play detective, then said he would take the bones to the hospital and give them a week to find an ID. A cop came in to pull Roman out of the office to report that he got word from the Michigan state police that Shawn and Belle crossed into Canada.

Steve returned to the Salem Inn, to Kayla's delight. She was alarmed to see that he had bruises. He explained what happened in Canada. She felt like he was holding something back and admitted that she was worried. He told her not to be.

From Canada, Shawn called the phone at the Brady Pub. Chelsea answered and told her brother she would be there for him. He asked if Bo or their grandparents were there, but she said no. She said she would find Bo for him. He told her he'd call back in the next hour. Chelsea went to Kayla's hotel room, where Bo was getting briefed by Steve. They all headed back to the Pub. Bo thanked Chelsea for passing along the message.

Belle and Shawn tried to work out their sleeping arrangements. She offered to stay in the cot with him, but he said he would take the floor because it's better for his back. "When did you start having back problems?" she asked. She then grabbed his coat and it looked like they might kiss, but he pulled away, saying he should get some rest. Belle apologized to him for the situation they were in. He insisted it wasn't her fault at all and reiterated that he wants to take care of her and Claire. Shawn and Belle fell asleep. Merle came in and woke them up to tell them that he found a Turkish freighter that was leaving the next night and could take them to the coast of Africa. Shawn thought it was perfect; Belle was concerned because Claire didn't have her shots yet. Eventually, she agreed. Merle said it would cost them. Belle offered to sell her engagement ring. Merle said he'd take Belle to a pawn shop. Shawn advised her to be careful. When she came back, she told him Philip reported the ring stolen.

Everyone gathered at the Pub, awaiting Shawn's call. Roman came in. "Isn't anyone going to say anything?" he asked. "How's it going, Ro-Man?" Steve called out. Bo said they were discussing Shawn, Belle and Claire. Roman said he had good news, then: Shawn and Belle were spotted in Toronto. Chelsea blurted out that they were protecting their daughter. Nick pulled her away. She pouted that she blew everything. Nick comforted her. Roman urged Bo and Steve to tell him if the kids called. Bo said he would and tried to get Roman out of there. Roman said he had another case to discuss, the case of the stolen delivery truck. Steve lied that he was home all night. Kayla covered for him. A clever Roman then revealed that somebody called Kayla from a pay phone in Northern Michigan at 11:30 the night before and what did they have to say about that? Steve then confessed to everything so the kids could get away. Roman asked if he was telling the truth. Steve recanted and said he was home alone all last night and he didn't know who made the phone call. Just then, the phone at the Pub rang. Nick said that is was probably his boss, Dr. Rebert, because he lost his cell phone and asked the doc to call him at the Pub. Nick answered the phone and it was Shawn, who caught on quickly that there was a cop at the Pub. Roman told Bo, Hope, Steve and Kayla that he would file a report, saying that he didn't find anything, but warned them that it couldn't happen again and that he wouldn't be put in the position to lie. Roman walked out. Bo took the phone. Shawn told him he needed money. Bo said he'd work something out. Chelsea offered to take the money to Canada.

Max and Mimi dined at Chez Rouge. Max noticed she wasn't really eating. She said she didn't have an appetite and apologized for ruining the night. He said it was okay. She confessed that Connor revealed that the skeleton bones belonged to her father. He comforted her.
