Shawn told Duck that Gabby wouldn't be staying with him and Belle in Australia. Duck doubted it, then dropped a bomb: the last time Gabby left the island she came back pregnant. Shawn asked what happened to the baby, but Duck didn't want to talk about it. Meanwhile, Belle and Gabby spatted as Belle laid claim to Shawn. Gabby called Belle insecure. "Anybody can see that Shawn is totally in love with you," noted Gabby, insisting that she wouldn't go after a guy who wanted someone else and that she was being completely up front. "Then what's up with the baby carriage in your closet?" countered Belle. An angry Gabby said it was none of Belle's business, before admitting her child had died. Shawn interrupted and wondered if they were all set to sail. Gabby suggested asking Belle, who had a problem with the situation, and left. Belle noted that as long as they all knew where they stood, there was no problem. Shawn headed back to work and ran into Gabby, noting that he hoped she and Belle could work things out. Gabby said there was nothing to work out. Shawn and Belle were a couple, and she knew her place.

Kayla admitted to Maggie that she was nervous about seeing Stephanie again. Soon, Stephanie arrived sporting her new "racer chick chic" look — miniskirt, midriff top and tattoo. She asked what was wrong with her dad, and Kayla filled her in. Kayla implored Stephanie to visit Steve and see if she could get him to go to the police and confess everything he knew about EJ. Stephanie agreed to do it. Abby interrupted and she and Stephanie began to chat when Kayla spotted Dr. Kraft and excused herself. Dr. Kraft noted that she'd been removed from Steve's case and was frightened for him. Steve had made enemies on the staff. Dr. Kraft warned Kayla to intercede before it was too late. Back at their table, Stephanie told Abby that she'd met a new bad boy and was in love. Then, she asked about Abby and Max, but Abby didn't want to talk about it. Stephanie went on about being a real woman and not a virgin anymore and encouraged Abby to make a move on Max. Abby noted that Maggie forbade her from seeing Max. Stephanie said she had a plan: making up a phony boyfriend that Maggie approved. Kayla returned and told Stephanie they had to go. There was an issue with her father.

Kate banged on the hotel room door, but there was no answer. When an employee walked by, Kate demanded he let her in. The man said it was against hotel policy. Besides, he got the distinct impression the couple inside didn't want to be disturbed. Kate and Philip argued about whether Kate should break in. Kate tried, but failed. Meanwhile, EJ got rough with Sami, ripping open her blouse to see if she was wearing a wire. "Nothing but me," retorted Sami. EJ rummaged through Sami's purse, but found nothing. Then, EJ threatened to strip search her. Sami wasn't pleased, insisting she was there because she wanted to be with him. EJ's phone rang and it was Kate, desperate for information. "Lucas's life may be at stake," asserted Kate. "Tell me. Is Sami there?" Before EJ could tell her, Sami tackled him and planted a laced lipstick kiss on his lips. EJ got woozy and passed out, as Kate called out for Sami. Phillip asked what was going on. Kate recounted hearing a big commotion, followed by nothing. Then, Kate heard Celeste's voice talking to Sami and realized Sami and EJ were together. At the cabin, Celeste urged Sami to proceed with their murder plan. Celeste helped by dousing the room with gasoline and handing Sami a box of matches. Alone, Sami muttered that she didn't want to do this, but EJ had forced her. Then, she struck a match.

Chelsea visited Willow in the hospital and demanded to know what Willow had on her, but Willow explained that they were waiting for someone else. Just then, Nick arrived. Willow asked which of them decided to steal the hairbrush from the lab and accused Nick of doing damage control for Chelsea. Chelsea challenged Willow to prove she was involved in the crime. Willow wondered if Nick could live with her baby being taken away from her. Chelsea said that she would simply deny the brush was hers if it was found, which Willow took as proof Chelsea was guilty. Chelsea responded that the only way Willow could know that the brush was Chelsea's would be if she planted it. Chelsea told Nick that she couldn't see him anymore, and if he believed that she was responsible for the fire, it was best that they were through. Nick offered to be Willow's friend.

Kate questioned Philip about his deal with EJ. "This reeks of personal," she pooh-poohed when Philip claimed their relationship was strictly business. Philip admitted that he and EJ had a common interest in Shawn. He was confident that he could handle EJ, but Kate remained skeptical. Phil explained that EJ promised to help him get Claire if he tipped EJ off to Shawn's whereabouts. When Kate reminded that he could be signing Shawn's death warrant by doing so, Phillip agreed not to cooperate with EJ. Kate told Philip about EJ's Brandy Mathis anagram and wedding plans, and, alarmed, they rushed to Lucas' door.

Belle was annoyed to overhear Shawn laughing with Gabby. Gabby promised to bring Shawn wine and dinner in exchange for help with her GPS system. "Sounds like Gabby's really good with her hands," Belle spat when Shawn praised her rival's building acumen. They bickered about Gabby, who interrupted and asked Shawn to convince her upset father that their Australian plan was a good one. Belle bristled, but Shawn agreed. Belle told Gabby that she wanted everyone to know that she and Shawn are a couple. Gabby's father revealed to Shawn that his daughter never intended to return home.

Lucas collapsed after Sami kissed him wearing the poisoned lipstick. EJ called to remind Sami that he was waiting. Room service arrived, and Sami covered Lucas' unconscious condition by pretending they were sharing an amorous moment. Celeste arrived and encouraged Sami to go through with their plan. EJ waited for Sami at the cabin and when she was late, left a message asking Lucas to meet him. When Sami arrived, EJ amended his message, explaining there had been a misunderstanding. Sami lied that she was late because Lucas begged her to stay. EJ wanted to go to Vegas immediately, but Sami demanded proof that he was attracted to her. She requested a kiss. EJ leaned in. "I think that you're playing me for a fool," he hissed and strangled her.

Max broke his liplock with Chelsea and demanded to know what was going on. "My whole life is practically disintegrating," admitted Chelsea, pinning the blame on Abby and Nick. Nick had done two horrible things, and Abby never told her. Max suggested that Chelsea cut Abby some slack. Maybe she was trying to protect her. Chelsea rambled on about Billie and Nick's tryst. Max was stunned, but told Chelsea to deal with it and move on. Chelsea realized that getting a new job away from Nick would be a good start. Max promised not to say anything to Abby about tonight. Chelsea thanked him for being a good friend and making her realize what she had to do.

Roman accused Willow of swiping the missing hairbrush because her DNA was on it. Willow swore she hadn't as Nick ran to her defense. Willow pulled off her nightgown and invited Roman to strip search her. Roman ordered Willow to get dressed and left. Alone with Nick, Willow admitted that she was totally screwed. That brush was her ticket out of this mess. Now, she'd be having her baby in prison. Nick vowed to fix things and went out to talk to Roman. Meanwhile, an officer searched Willow's room, but didn't uncover a thing. When Nick returned, Willow said she thought she knew who stole the brush: Chelsea. Nick insisted it wasn't her and left, agonizing over his part in all of this.

A frustrated Kate told Will that she was trying to get information about Brandy Mathas on the Internet to no avail. The duo embarked on a game of Scrabble. When Will went to get a soda, Kate tinkered with the letters in Brandy Mathas and came up with Samantha Brady. Kate gasped, then made a hasty exit.

Sami listened to her message from EJ, then tried to concentrate on her romantic night with Lucas. Sami's phone rang and she answered it, claiming it was her mother. Lucas left and Sami rushed into the hall where Celeste was waiting for her. Sami said there was no way to get out of her evening with Lucas. Celeste said there was: kissing him with her drugged lipstick. Sami returned to Lucas and kept trying to plant one on him, but it wasn't working. Soon there was a knock on the door, and it was Kate. Sami headed to the bathroom, then eavesdropped. Kate revealed that she'd learned the name of EJ's fiancé, Brandy Mathas, was an anagram for Sami Brady. Meanwhile, Sami took a call from Celeste and informed her that Kate was there. Lucas told Kate that she and EJ were insane and headed back inside. Kate stopped him, insisting that Sami was going to Vegas to marry EJ tonight. Lucas ignored Kate's accusations, returned to Sami, and expressed his love for his bride-to-be. With that, Sami planted a laced lipstick kiss on his lips.

At Chez Rouge, Philip got tough with EJ, demanding he give him the phone and converter before leaving town so he could monitor things at Bo and Hope's house. EJ didn't like Philip's threatening tone, but said he'd let it go since his wedding was approaching and he was in a good mood. Later, he gave Philip the equipment and suggested that Will might help him figure it out. EJ and Philip knocked on Will's door, and Will let Phillip in. Meanwhile, Kate arrived and told EJ that she was onto him. She knew Brandy and Sami were the same person, but doubted EJ would be marrying her, since Sami was with Lucas right now. EJ smiled and left. Kate went into Sami's apartment and found Philip with Will. Will noted that EJ had been there too, but he hadn't let him in. Kate asked why Philip was suddenly so chummy with EJ.

At the hospital, a cop told Nick his pregnant girlfriend wanted to see him. Nick walked into a room and found Willow, who was having premature contractions and being kept overnight. Then, it was back to jail. Nick wondered why Willow wanted to see him. Simple — he was the only guy who treated her nicely and she was counting on him to come through for her with the hairbrush. Nick said he couldn't help her. Willow begged Nick not to let anyone switch out the hairbrush and begged him for a second chance, like he gave Chelsea. Then, she kissed him on the cheek. Nick left and bumped into Roman, who explained how upset Dr. Parsons was over the missing brush. "We both know what happened to that hairbrush, don't we?" asked Roman.

Chelsea arrived at Bo and Hope's house after Max, explaining that her car started up right after she phoned him. Sensing Max was stressed, Chelsea invited him in and fetched him a beer. Max commented on Chelsea's "baby hooker look," namely, her revealing top. Chelsea cooed that she wasn't a baby anymore. When Max said he had to go, Chelsea reminded him of how good she'd always been at relieving his stress. Max insisted that wasn't what he needed. Then he went on about Maggie being on his case. Chelsea figured it was about Abby and pointed out that Maggie might be right. Some girls were innocent, while others were older and more mature, like her. Max chuckled over Chelsea's worldly woman claims. Chelsea responded with a passionate kiss.

EJ told Lucas and Kate that he was going to Vegas and getting married. Lucas thought it was odd, since EJ had been chasing Sami nonstop. EJ noted that he'd be gone one or two weeks and would need Kate and Lucas to cover for him at Mythic. Lucas refused to let EJ dump work on him before his wedding to Sami. EJ admitted that Lucas had the right to refuse, just as he had the right to fire him. After EJ brought Lucas up to speed on everything that had to be taken care of, Lucas left. Alone, Kate asked who EJ’s bride was. He revealed her name, Brandy Mathis, and promised that once Kate met her, she'd love her.

Sami had second thoughts about murdering EJ. Celeste reiterated that Sami had no choice, if SHE wanted to live. As Sami paced around her apartment, she ended up opening Will's backpack and discovering $200. Sami summoned Will, demanding to know where he got the cash. Will admitted he'd set up some video equipment for EJ. Sami scolded Will for not staying away from EJ. After Will stormed off, Celeste warned that EJ would destroy Sami's whole family. Sami realized what she had to do. Lucas returned home and told Sami that EJ was getting married. Sami countered by saying that all she wanted was to marry Lucas. Later, Sami told Lucas that she had to go, but Lucas said she couldn't. He'd booked them a suite at a hotel. Sami tried to get out of it, to no avail. When Lucas went to pack, Sami phoned Celeste and announced that everything was off. Celeste instructed Sami to go to the hotel with Lucas and promised to meet her there. Sami's cell rang, but she didn’t answer it. "The only thing that matters to me, tonight, is you," she told Lucas. Meanwhile, EJ left Sami a message. He was leaving for their rendezvous at the cabin and hoped Sami wouldn't disappoint him.

Pizzas arrived for the patients at the institution, and Foley was peeved. He reluctantly paid for the pies as everyone ate up. Later, Foley swung a bat at Steve, but missed thanks to a nice block. Dr. Kraft interrupted, instructed Steve to let Foley go, then told Foley to split. Dr. Kraft scolded Steve. She'd begged him to keep his head down, but he wouldn't listen. As a result of Steve's lack of progress, she'd been reassigned. So Steve was on his own. Later, Foley returned and told the inmates their party was over and to leave — everyone except Steve.

When Nick and Dr. Parsons went to check the vault for the missing hairbrush, Abby scolded Chelsea for getting Nick in trouble. Chelsea swore she didn't force Nick to steal the brush. Abby noted that Chelsea left for New York to make Nick think he'd never see her again unless he did her dirty work. Chelsea said the brush was gone. She'd tossed it in the garbage. "If it's gone, why is Nick wondering if he should return it?" asked Abby. Chelsea was confused, unless Nick dug the brush out of the trash. Abby suggested that he might have, if he thought Chelsea was using him. Abby called Chelsea on hating Nick, until the hairbrush turned up at Bo and Hope's house. Chelsea was appalled that Abby questioned her feelings for Nick. "Nobody lies like you do," maintained Abby. Chelsea noted that Nick lied to her for months about sleeping with Billie. Abby said that he was scared to 'fess up. Chelsea realized Abby knew about Nick and Billie's tryst and called Abby a hypocrite.

Nick returned and wanted to know what was going on as Abby left. Chelsea filled Nick in and asked if he'd taken the brush from the trash. Then she demanded to know if Nick thought she broke into her dad's house and was just using him. When Nick didn't answer, Chelsea was mortified. Dr. Parsons returned and said the hairbrush was nowhere to be found.

Shawn told Gabby that Belle agreed to let her accompany them to Australia. Gabby was thrilled, but made Shawn promise not to tell Duck. Gabby went on about wanting a man and a baby, like Belle. Shawn made it clear that once they arrived in Australia, they'd be going their separate ways. Meanwhile, Duck visited Belle, who asked if there was any mail for her and Shawn. They were waiting for an answer to a letter they sent. Duck said no mail had gone out. Belle confronted Gabby about the letter she supposedly mailed for her and Shawn. Gabby played innocent and went to look for the letter, noting that it might have fallen behind the bar. Alone with Shawn, Belle accused Gabby of losing the letter on purpose. Shawn couldn't understand why Gabby would do that. Belle pointed out that if they had a chance to go back to Salem, they'd leave Gabby and she'd never see Shawn again. Shawn said that Gabby flirted with everybody. Belle filled him on Duck's warning to be wary of Gabby or she'd lose Shawn.

Max went to Chez Rouge and talked to Maggie about his visit with Abby in New York. "It was totally innocent," insisted Max. Maggie doubted it, calling Max "a player." Max realized that Maggie didn't want him dating Abby, but pointed out that it wasn't her decision. Maggie remained firm. She didn't want Max breaking Abby’s heart. Later, Abby showed up and Max recounted his "talk" with Maggie. To Abby's surprise, Max said Maggie was right. They should just be friends. Abby countered by calling Max a jerk. Soon, Max's cell rang and it was Chelsea, looking for trouble. She told Max her car died, and she needed his help. "I'll make it worth your while," cooed Chelsea.
