At the barbecue, Hope gave Lexie a pep talk about going to see Abe. Bo filled her in about the connection between Colleen and Santo. Caroline came in and revealed to Hope that Shawn Sr. wasn’t coming. Hope asked if it was because of their questions about Colleen. A weary Caroline asked if they could table the Colleen talk for the day. In the backyard, Bo asked where his pop was. Caroline covered that he’d be there later after he took care of some business at the bar. Caroline went inside. Hope followed her. Max came in, flush with Vegas cash, and gave Bo a bag of designer clothes and a doll for Ciara. Bo said they were too expensive and that he couldn’t accept them. Bo asked about the shuttle business, realizing that Max had a lot of cash for just one trip. Max got uneasy and defensive. He finally confessed to his and Jeremy’s side business. "Please tell me you’re not involved in anything illegal," sighed Bo. Max asked Bo to have faith in him and vowed to get out if things got sticky.

In the living room, Hope confronted Caroline about why she didn’t tell Bo the truth. Caroline said it was because she didn’t want to upset Bo. Hope asked her again about Colleen. Caroline again kept mum and left the room. Kayla arrived. Hope told her she needed to talk to her about Shawn Sr. and told her the Colleen/Santo story. "He never mentioned a word about a Colleen," Kayla remarked. Kayla then asked if Steve was there. Hope said no, but noted that he could be at the DiMera mansion. Hope explained Steve was keeping tabs on the DiMeras for them. Kayla feared it would jeopardize Steve’s recovery. Hope showed her the copies of the Santo/Colleen letters.

At the Cheatin' Heart, Jett confided his relationship woes in Nick. He said that he worried Danielle was seeing someone else. In the ladies' room, Chelsea overheard Danielle on the phone, exchanging "I love yous" with someone. Danielle returned to the bar and asked Jett to dance. Nick sat down with Chelsea, who blabbed about what she heard in the bathroom.

Steve pulled Jeremy aside and apologized to him for overreacting when they first met. "Thanks, man. That’s awesome," Jeremy articulately replied. Stephanie urged her father to give Jeremy a chance. Steve agreed and suggested a dinner for the four of them so Kayla and Steve could get to know them better. Jeremy asked "Mr. J" if he wanted a beer. Steve said they'd have one another time because he had to get over to Bo and Hope's. He returned to the bar and told Adrienne the jury was still out on young Horton.

Chelsea wanted to tell Jett the truth about Danielle. Nick told her to mind her business. When she protested, Nick asked why she cared so much. Before she could answer, Jett, Danielle, Steph and Jeremy rushed over with shots. They all did a round while designated driver Nick looked on. After, they all went to the barbecue. Steph was excited that Kayla was there and reported what happened in the bar. Outside, Lexie spied Jett and freaked out that he might see her and tell Abe, who still doesn’t know she’s alive. She took off. Jett introduced himself to Bo. Chelsea sat with Max and complained about Danielle. Nick overheard and asked why she was so preoccupied with telling Jett. She asked why he wasn’t. He revealed that Jett already knew Danielle was stepping out on him.

Hope told Doug, Julie and Kayla that Shawn wasn’t coming. Kayla decided to go talk some sense into him. Everyone got excited when Maggie came in with Alice. Jeremy went over to say hi to his great-grandmother. She gave him some grandma guilt about him not coming to see her. She warned him to be good. Bo brought Ciara over. Shawn walked in right after with Claire. After, he approached Max and asked about the garage. Max said it was slow because he was doing the plane business. Shawn asked if he could take over the garage. Max said yes. In the living room, Hope went through the bag of clothes. Bo told her they were from Max and that Max and Jeremy were involved in some shady dealings. Hope said she had a bad feeling about her cousin.

At the beach, Marlena lustily rubbed suntan lotion on John. They began to kiss. Marlena looked over and saw Belle. She smiled until Philip sat down next to Belle. A concerned John and Marlena watched as Phil and Belle ate ice cream cones. Belle told Philip that she was anxious to hear from Shawn. He assured her Shawn would call. Phil told Belle that she needed to lighten up and should use his pass to the country club. He then stroked her hair intimately. Belle got uncomfortable and said she needed to call Victor. She walked away and came upon John and Marlena making out. A horrified — but amused — Belle went back and laughed about it with Philip. Belle said she wondered what it must be like to think you lost the love of your life and then get them back. "Isn’t that what happened with you and Shawn?" Phil asked. Belle realized he was right. Belle got a text from Shawn that he had Claire over at his parents house. She told Philip she had to go. He apologized for any impropriety earlier and explained that the country club offer was so that Claire could play with other kids. She said she’d talk to Shawn about it, then left.... Philip got a call from an anonymous caller and all he heard was a baby crying.

Belle got to the barbecue and teased her parents about their makeout session. Marlena remarked that she saw Belle with Philip and that they seemed "friendly and cozy." Before Marlena could say more, Shawn spirited Belle away. Bo walked over and asked Marlena if something was wrong. Marlena said it was parental worry. She admitted that she wasn’t sure Philip had changed as much as he wanted everyone to think he had. Steve came and updated John about what he was doing at the DiMeras. Kayla returned with her father and chided Steve for being a double agent. He assured her he’d be fine and gave her a kiss. Bo assembled the clans together to take a group photo.

Chelsea and Stephanie met up at the Cheatin' Heart, now owned by Adrienne. Jeremy and Nick joined them and were greeted by big kisses from their girlfriends. Nick wanted to leave, but Chelsea said they had to wait until Jett and his fiancée arrived. Jeremy offered to get Nick a drink. Adrienne brought them shots and Jeremy made a crack toast about "mad dog, one-eyed Johnson." Adrienne told him he’d live to regret making fun of her brother, Steve, again. Steph laughed that her beau was kidding. Jett arrived with Danielle and met the group. Nick suggested they move to Chez Rouge. Danielle liked the idea, but Chelsea said that Steph wanted to stay at her aunt’s bar. Steve came in. "I’m a dead man," gulped Jeremy. Steph approached her father at the bar and told him he was making Jeremy nervous. After she left, Steve asked Adrienne what she thought of Jeremy. Adrienne called him a "world class jerk." Steph and Jeremy hit the dance floor. Danielle headed to the ladies’ room. Jett asked Chelsea to dance with him, but she said she had to go to the ladies’ room, too. There, Chelsea overheard Danielle on the phone, telling another guy she loves him.

Jeremy tried to kiss Steph, but she said not to do it in front of her father. Steve approached Jeremy, and asked him to talk.

Bo went to the Brady Pub to pick up supplies for the barbecue. Caroline asked him not to bother his father that day with questions about Colleen. Philip came in with Claire. Caroline took her to the kitchen to get cookies. Bo mentioned Shawn’s job interview and asked if it was the same company that Victor owned. Phil admitted it was. Bo advised Philip to keep out of Shawn’s business.

At the Brady house, Belle helped Shawn pick out a tie for his interview. He was nervous, but she reassured him. She flashed back to asking Philip to help Shawn get a job, then gave Shawn a reassuring hug. They got flirty, then went upstairs for a quickie before his plane departed.

Bo came home and was happy to catch Shawn there. Belle headed to the Pub to get Claire. Once alone, Bo revealed to Shawn that Philip set up the job interview behind Shawn’s back. Shawn realized that Belle knew about it the whole time. A peeved Shawn noted that the job would require his traveling up and down the East Coast and Philip was clearly trying to get rid of Shawn so he could be with Claire and Belle. Shawn said he wouldn’t go on the interview. Bo told him to think it over because he was qualified for the job. Shawn reconsidered and agreed to go. The phone rang: It was Mimi! Shawn talked to her and told her he’d take care of what she asked. When he hung up, Bo asked what Mimi wanted, but Shawn was evasive.

At the Pub, Philip told Belle that Bo figured out the truth about the job. She wanted to go back to the Brady house, but he told her not to. She asked where Claire was. He admitted that he let Victor take her. "Is she still in the country?" cracked Belle. Philip said Claire would be fine with his dad and asked Belle to go to the beach with him. Belle suggested calling Shawn to join them, figuring he would blow off the interview once he heard Philip orchestrated it. Shawn’s cell phone rang. The Caller ID said it was Belle, but it was Philip. Phil apologized to Shawn for not being honest about the interview. Shawn said he was going anyway. Phil told Shawn he was taking Belle to the beach. Shawn was happy, noting that Claire loves the sand. Phil revealed that Claire was with Victor and that he just wanted to be honest and tell Shawn. Shawn said okay, asked Philip to tell Belle he loves her, then hung up. Shawn then called the airline and changed his ticket from Cleveland to Indianapolis.

Monday, July 2, 2007
At the Brady Pub, Shawn explained to Philip that he and Belle need space from him to become a family. Belle walked over holding Claire and sensed tension. Philip announced that Shawn wanted them to move out and into Bo and Hope's. "Absolutely not," replied Belle. Shawn asked to speak to Belle privately so he could explain. Once they spoke, Belle agreed that they should move, but she didn't want to move in with the Bradys. Shawn pointed out that they didn't have any money. She said they would have to stop relying on their parents. Shawn's phone rang. He recognized the number as being from Ohio. He took the call and walked away from the table. Philip sat down and asked Belle where she and Shawn were moving. Shawn returned to the table and said that it was someone calling about a job to sell auto parts, but he didn't remember sending a resumé there. Belle was excited for him, until she heard the interview was the next day, on July 4. Shawn offered to call back and see if Belle could come too. Philip chimed in that he didn't think it was a good idea to bring her along. Belle agreed. "It's only for a day," she smiled. Shawn left to get his suit at Bo and Hope's. He said he would need to rent a car. "Don't worry; they'll pick you up," said Philip, a little too quickly. Shawn asked how he knew. "It's good business," Philip covered.

Hope was thrilled to hear that Anna and Roman slept together the night before and began to ask him about it. "You're not going to let this go, are you, Hope?" queried an awkward Roman. She asked Roman to explain what happened. He revealed they had sex, and then he left to get a car wash. Hope was horrified and ordered him back to the hotel to apologize. Roman said he didn't know what to say to Anna. Hope sat him down and told him he should never sleep with a woman, then disappear before she wakes up. Roman tried to defend himself. Hope asked how Roman felt about Anna. He admitted he didn't know. He confessed that Anna drove him crazy in a bad way ... and a good one. Cue Anna's arrival. "Well, look who's here," she smirked when she saw Roman. "And all this time, I thought you were in the hotel restaurant buying me breakfast in bed." Anna asked why he left in the middle of the night. Hope asked if she and Bo should leave. No, replied Anna, "I want to humiliate him in front of an audience." She then suggested they return to her hotel room. Anna walked out; Roman followed. "Be safe," Hope suggested. Once they left, Hope reminded Bo about their bet. "You're on dirty diaper duty until Christmas," she smiled. Bo tried to find a way out of the bet, but Hope delighted in her victory. She started kissing her husband, then tickled him and forced him to admit she was right and he was wrong. He did. They sat on the couch together, discussing the barbecue the next day. She suggested they take a photo of both families. Bo said he knew someone from work who could do it. Ciara began to cry. A happy Hope told him to go tend to their daughter — and not to forget the butt paste.

Sami and Lucas got frisky in the safe house motel room. She pulled back, saying she had to exercise. She took out her doctor-approved pregnancy yoga DVD. He took it from her and they started arguing. The guard outside overheard and asked if they were okay. She said that was the reason they couldn't have sex, because the guards could hear all. She swiped the DVD back from him. He watched her do her yoga poses, which got him hot and bothered. She finished up and they fell onto the bed, kissing. She became distracted again by the guards outside. He turned the TV on to mask the sound and cranked the volume. They accidentally changed the station from music to a cops and robbers show. Someone on the program screamed. The guards came running in, guns raised, thinking the Robertses were in danger.

At the mansion, EJ told Stefano that not only was he going to be a father, he was going to the the father of twins. Stefano was thrilled and said the children needed to be raised as DiMeras. EJ said Samantha would never allow it and suggested ending the feud. Stefano pointed out that he already offered Sami a solution, which was to divorce Lucas and marry EJ. Tony came in as they were talking and advised his little brother to take control of the situation. The usual bickering ensued. Stefano ordered them to stop. He then collapsed. Dr. Rolf came running in. He reported that Stefano's condition was worse and he needed the stem cells ASAP. Stefano was wheeled in. EJ urged him to make the deal with Sami. "All right, get Samantha," a weary Phoenix replied. After EJ left, Stefano told Tony that he was right about Elvis all along. Stef then added that Tony needed to teach young EJ a lesson, that the DiMeras bow to no one. "I refuse to beg for those stem cells," Stefano noted. He then advised Tony to bring Sami to him any way he could. EJ eavesdropped on their conversation.
