GH Recaps Week of January 23, 2006

Dillon consoled Lulu, who was worried about her father. A doorman delivered flowers for Skye, and while everyone assumed they were from Luke, the card said Lorenzo. Georgie returned with word that the shrunken head was not human, and had something inside. Dillon and Georgie asked Robin to X-ray it. Tracy accused Skye of faking the flowers and her affair with Lorenzo, and challenged Skye to take him to bed — which Alcazar overheard. He defended Skye's honor and then asked Skye if what Tracy said was true. The X-ray proved inconclusive, so Robin cut the head open to reveal a hotel matchbook with a phone number. Robin told Elizabeth the head reminded her of how much she misses her parents.

In the tropics, Luke nervously peered out of his hotel window as a bellman called him "Doctor" (Doctor? Doctor Who?) and advised him to stay inside. As Luke polished off a bottle, he was hit by a dart from a blowgun. He awoke to see a trio of locals, who demanded the "doctor" help a sick boy — or die. Luke insisted it was just a disguise, but nevertheless "prescribed" something: a TicTac (but it wasn't plugged). The kid smiled. One of the locals checked the boy, and determined his fever was down. He offered Luke the family's daughter as a reward, then a chimpanzee — both of which Luke declined. But he accepted a drink from a strange bottle. Later, Luke awoke with an empty bottle in the empty hut — which was on fire!

Elizabeth noticed Emily mooning over her postcard with "Tonight 9 p.m." on the back and accused her of going to meet Sonny. Sonny told Max he was skipping tonight's meeting with the family, and not to do anything about Manny without Sonny's okay. Speaking of Manny, Lucky checked on him (nice ink!), and Manny boasted of starting community service today — and Alcazar was hiding inside his room. He tossed Manny a strange bag and told him to "eliminate Corinthos once and for all." Meanwhile, Jason confessed to Sonny that he told Emily to end things. Sonny asked where Jason got off (blah-blah-blah). Then Manny reported to Elizabeth at GH, who sent him home to change into better clothes (so he wouldn't scare the patients). Meanwhile, Sonny dialed Emily and tried to cancel the postcard date because of Jason and Carly's protests, but then he decided to go to the lodge and left it up to her to join him or not. Emily immediately stripped off her lab coat to leave — and dropped the postcard, which Manny found. On her way out Emily ran into Jason, who delivered his usual spiel. She responded with her usual spiel and left. Then Jason got word that Sonny didn't meet his driver, so Jason feared Manny did something. Wrong. At the lodge, Sonny recalled Carly's protests and fled, leaving a single pink rose behind. Emily arrived at the empty lodge to find the rose, then recalled Jason's warnings. But before she could leave, Sonny returned. Meanwhile, Jason broke into Manny's room and found the ankle bracelet abandoned — and the postcard, which Manny stupidly left behind (well, presumably he memorized it).

Skye told Lorenzo how she used to pine for Luke, and how devastated he was when he lost Laura. Lulu eavesdropped as Skye explained how Luke even protects himself with Lulu. Skye wants to be first in someone's heart. Alcazar could get behind that, but he won't fight Luke for her.

Sonny lit a fire, Emily hugged him and they smooched. Sonny tried to put her off, but she told him to "stop talking." As they smooched, Jason burst in, his big shiny gun drawn.

Dillon retuned home with the number, and Lulu dialed it. The bellman answered and said there was no Luke Spencer, just a doctor who left in the middle of the night. Skye recognized Luke's alias. Meanwhile, Luke rescued the chimp from the flaming hut and fled. Then, through the smoke strode a stranger... Robert Scorpio!

Mimicking Sam's dream, Manny advanced on her — and apologized! But Jason pinned him against a wall. Sonny called him off, and Durant called that "a clear case of assault." But Manny declined to press charges. "Can you please let him go?" he pleaded. Then a thug phoned Alcazar to report the sentence, and he thought the ankle monitor might work in his favor. Back at the courthouse, Sonny told Jason the ankle bracelet could be useful. Jason found Sam blasting Alexis for putting a professional victory over the safety of her kids. Alexis adopted her trademarked barely audible WhisperMode to dismiss Sam as jealous because her baby died and Kristina lived. Ric took Alexis to Kelly's, where she suggested merging their law practices. Manny entered and asked Mike to rent a room. Mike balked, but Ric suggested that would make it possible to keep an eye on Manny, so Mike relented. Alexis fretted that Kristina might run into Manny at Kelly's. As Jason and Sam returned home, Carly interrupted to whine about Emily picking up the kids. At that moment, Sonny arrived home to find Emily. Emily was glad to have a reason to see Sonny. Michael interrupted before they could lean in for a kiss, and invited Emily for dinner. Sam told Jason she was angry at Alexis over her daughter's passing. Carly suddenly appeared at Sonny's and invited herself to dinner, as Emily got a call to meet Jason at Kelly's. Carly told Sonny that he and Emily are a disaster waiting to happen. At Kelly's, Emily told Jason they've already discussed Sonny. Meanwhile, Carly and Sonny went 'round and 'round again (She told him to track down Brenda!) "Do the right thing and let her go," Carly repeated.

Skye stumbled into Alcazar's arms, and when she discovered she couldn't walk they canceled the New York trip, but Alcazar compelled her to stay while he whipped up a meal. Or, rather, ordered pizza — which Skye fed to him. They smooched and she asked him to shave it off his beard; he agreed as long has she shaved it. She did (but not on-camera!). They smooched again, but she pushed him away — remember that pact? So he carried her to his car.

At Metro Court, Robin gave Patrick one hour for their date, but Patrick was determined to have a good time, and he wondered why she was so closed off. She suggested "We're both trying to hide what we’re feeling." Patrick loosened up, prompting Robin to recount a tale of going to a concert with Stone, whom she copped to thinking about — but only the good times. At another table, Justus gave Dr. Winters the Manny verdict, and warned her to watch her back. She got a call from Rose Lawn about her father, and had to leave. Robin warmed to Patrick's flirting and asked if was always so insufferable. He talked about his mom. Meanwhile, at GH, Elizabeth welcomed Noah back from his sabbatical, during which he kicked alcohol. Patrick recounted how his mother died on an operating table while Noah was performing risky surgery on her. Distraught, Noah trashed his career. Speak of the devil: Noah arrived to announce he's sober and wants to turn his life around, starting now. Robin took the opportunity to flee. Noah asked Patrick's permission to return to GH, but the son balked. At GH Robin told Liz that maybe Patrick has a heart after all. Does he? He ordered his dad a drink! But Noah refused to imbibe — he wanted to honor Patrick's mom by resuming his career. A disgusted Patrick stormed out, but not before noticing that Noah dumped his drink into a plant.

Elizabeth promised Lucky she will steer clear of Manny because she thinks he's faking. Emily brought the kids by to pick up her lab notes, so Lucky told her about Manny. Emily vowed not to "desert Sonny," who will protect her. Later, Jesse appeared to tell Lucky that Manny's ankle bracelet indicated he was at Harborview Towers. As Sam entered the stairwell, Manny was there! Again he wanted to apologize, but Lucky and Jesse burst in, guns drawn. However, since Manny didn't harm Sam, there was nothing the boys could do.

Back at the courthouse, Durant asked Alexis to become his assistant DA. At Kelly's, Emily told Jason she isn't afraid of getting hurt. At home, Sonny insisted Jason will have to deal with it.

Manny was trundled out of court in a wheelchair as his acquittal was celebrated. He rose up out of the chair and started to strangle Sam — or did he? Sam awoke on the couch, screaming for Jason. In reality, Manny was still at GH, and Elizabeth was changing his dressing. He tried to flirt until Alcazar arrived and demanded an answer to his offer f an alliance. Manny accepted the deal. Jason comforted Sam until Justus arrived with news that Manny is going back to court — in a wheelchair! (It's like Sam read the script!) Sam insisted on attending.

At Metro Court, Carly was covering for Jax, so she told Sonny she couldn't bring Michael and Morgan home. Nikolas arrived, looking for Courtney. Carly insisted Courtney would not be happy with Nik because he loves Emily. Nik insisted Courtney still loves him, and he loves her, so Carly wrote down Courtney's phone number.

At GH, Emily got a call from Sonny to pick up the kids, and she agreed. In fact, she told Liz she was going to take comp time to hang with Sonny. Carly was shocked Sonny sent Emily for the kids. Emily defended her relationship with Sonny, but Carly insisted the kids will be devastated when Sonny and Emily break up. "I want him with anyone except you," Carly spat, because Emily "has the potential to destroy him," by driving a wedge between Jason and Sonny. Emily started crying and fled.

Alice dragged a stranger into the Quartermaine living room in a headlock. Tracy called him "my gentleman caller," but he confessed to being a private investigator she hired to find Luke. Alice returned with a small package from Luke addressed to...Lulu. She refused to disclose the return address to Tracy unless she dropped the attempted-murder charges against Luke. Skye fled to Kelly's, where she met Alcazar and complained Luke didn't send her any packages. Alcazar proposed a romantic getaway to Manhattan. Skye returned home to find Mac refusing to accept Tracy's request to drop the charges, so Tracy admitted to planting the rat poison herself, and he acquiesced. Lulu then revealed that Luke is in the Markham Islands. Tracy snatched the package, which fell open to reveal a shrunken head (though not Gwyneth Paltrow's. Still wish it was addressed to you, Skye?). Tracy wished it was Luke's head in the box. Skye reappeared looking like a million bucks in a sparkling black evening dress, and Alcazar whisked her to his plane.

In court, Durant's summation was intercut with Alexis' closing argument. Durant pointed out that there was no expert testimony or proof of Manny's reformation, while Alexis spoke quietly as she insisted Manny was a new man. Outside, Ric told Sam to keep Jason away from Manny. The jury returned a quick verdict: guilty of involuntary manslaughter. "I think that means you've won," Alexis told the thug. The judge instantly paroled Manny (can he do that?), ordering him into counselling and to perform public service at GH. Oh, and he has to wear an ankle bracelet, just like the notorious Martha Stewart.

Georgie asked Elizabeth to intervene with Bobbie on Lucas' behalf. Liz told Bobbie Lucas needs her to accept him. Bobbie wondered if Liz could accept Cameron coming out? Meanwhile, Lucas had a session with Dr. Winters. She asked if he "wanted" to be gay, and he said it didn't matter, because, "It's just the way I am." He then recalled having a childhood crush on a soccer coach. Lucas hates himself for not being who his family wants him to be, and not being true to himself. Outside, Bobbie insisted she isn't homophobic. "I have friends who are gay," she protested. She was hopeful Lucas will find himself and "settle down." Lucas appeared and reacted positively to the session.

Nik arrived at an address (how?), and a blabbermouth at the door told this stranger that a man claiming to be Courtney's husband took her away. In reality, Courtney was chained in a room by Helena, who said she didn't trust Court to raise a pet, let alone the Cassadine heir. When Courtney insisted Nik wasn't the father, Helena promised to do a DNA test after the baby is born, and the child will either inherit the Cassadine wealth or be put up for adoption.

Outside the courtroom, Sam was stunned to realize events were playing out just as they did in her dream: Manny rose from his wheelchair and advanced on her...

Carly told Jason that Alcazar had Manny shot, even as Alcazar extended Manny an offer to work for him after Alexis gets him off. Alcazar's leverage: He has the reconstructed memory chip from Sam's phone. Elizabeth interrupted them, and Alcazar left. Meanwhile, Carly reasoned that Alcazar asked out Skye as an alibi to cover ordering the shooting. Jason wanted to question Manny, but Robin blocked him. When Elizabeth took his pulse, Manny grabbed her arm. She calmed him, and he let go. When he said he liked her, she buzzed the call button, but Manny apologized and hoped she's not afraid of him. Patrick and Robin arrived, and she asked if he recalled who shot him. At the nurse's station, Patrick flirted with Liz, and Robin warned him the nurses would sue for sexual harassment. He asked her to pick a night for their date.

Sonny refused to refute Alexis' charge that he seduced Emily, and Alexis backed down some. But she insisted she cares about Emily, who could be ruining her life. Sonny left in a huff. Ric and Alexis later bickered over her carrying a torch for Sonny. She said they have "a real relationship," and while she knows better about Sonny, Emily doesn't. They were interrupted by word that Manny is awake. At home, Sonny downed a drink as Emily appeared. He admitted he's selfish and destroys the women in his life — he ruined Alexis. He'd hate to see sleeping together ruin his relationship with Emily, because he's not sure he could live with that. He would prefer her as a friend, rather than risk losing her. Emily said she felt bad because other people are calling him a "child molester" for pursuing her when she was pursuing him! Back at the hospital, Manny identified his shooter to Alexis as Juan Escobar from Miami. Sonny dismissed the gossip of others. "You get even more beautiful the more I get to know you," he said. Emily allowed that they both have baggage, but that all fades away when they're together. "I can't stop how I feel." But Jason stopped her from talking by walking in. Emily started to leave, but Jason's sour look stopped her. She told him it was her idea to visit Sonny. Jason brushed her off to report that Sam didn't shoot Manny. An incredulous Sonny asked how Jason can ignore his sister, who loves him so much?

Maxie said Lucas doesn't need counseling, but Bobbie insisted Lucas is just trying to figure out who he is, and counseling would help him "sort things out." When he agreed to come home later she left. But Lucas dismissed the value of counseling and ran out. Tracy stopped Dillon from following with the others. Dillon wondered if his mother wanted to ask him something. "Are you gay? No, of course not," she responded. Dillon said he was concerned for Lucas because they were roommates and "got close." Tracy panicked and warned she'd send him to military academy. When Dillon joked about "a man in uniform" he revealed he was testing her. "And you failed."

At The Metro Court, the maitre d' thought Jason was a delivery man, but he was there to dine with Carly — and spy on Alcazar and Skye's date. As Carly insisted Alcazar had Manny shot, Jason reminded her that if Alcazar was back in business he would have to be "dealt with." Carly was aghast, but promised not to protect Alcazar, so he left to go see Sonny. Back at the Q mansion, Skye offered Alcazar a drink and left to fetch it. Carly suddenly appeared and told Alcazar to leave the country or "you're on your own." He stayed, and smooched Skye.

Outside Manny's room, Alexis admitted she's glad Manny didn't finger Sam or Jason, so maybe he really is reformed. Manny overheard and smiled. Elsewhere, Emily told Liz her concerns about Sonny being unfairly judged. When Liz suggested giving Nikolas another chance, Emily said, "I'm falling more and mote in love with Sonny every day." Speaking of Sonny, Jason was blasting him as bad for Emily when he got a call telling him Manny IDd Escobar. Sonny feared serious trouble if Manny is freed, and asked Jason if he could still count on his loyalty — no matter what happens with Emily.

Alcazar and Skye agreed their relationship is "built on trust," but she was still suspicious of his dinner invite. Alcazar explained he was liberated by Carly's outburst, and suggested they hook up. "If not now, when?" Skye admitted she was tempted by the "sweet," "romantic" "gentleman," who is probably an "amazing lover." He called her "a provocative woman." As he stroked her hair, he suggested a pact: no matter what, they won't sleep with each other. She assented.

At the police station, Lucas reprised his rant about being "the biggest disappointment" of Bobbie's life, dissed Lucky and stalked off. A flustered Bobbie confronted the teens, and Georgie admitted to learning about it months ago. Shocked and angry that nobody told her, Bobbie set out to find Lucas.

At the courthouse, Alexis tried to get Manny to tell her who shot him. He waved in Jason's general direction, which was enough for Alexis to declare him the shooter. Meanwhile, Emily arrived with EMTs, and Durant arrested Jason over Carly's and Sonny's protestations. Meanwhile, Sam got in a cab that squealed away and took her home, where she enjoyed (really enjoyed) a shower. As Manny was wheeled into emergency surgery at GH, Emily apparently used her X-ray vision to glean that the bullet was lodged in his spine. Robin ran into Patrick and told him to scrub for surgery, but Patrick protested, "I was considering a nap," and refused. As Sam toweled off, PC's Finest burst into the steamy bathroom with guns drawn.

Bobbie arrived at GH and cursed not getting to scrub in on Manny's surgery. Lucky found Elizabeth and updated her on Lucas. Liz admitted she had her "suspicions" about him. Lucky emphasized that Lucas didn't choose to be gay. Then Bobbie appeared and asked the kids to keep Lucas' reveal to themselves. meanwhile, Lucas arrived at the Quartermaine mansion and came out to Lulu: "I'm gay, alert the media!" She was gladdened at the prospect of somebody taking the spotlight off her, but concerned, because not everyone is as cool as her. Luckily, Georgie and Dillon are, and they tracked him down and tried to bolster his spirits. Lucas worried about being branded "the gay guy." Dillon asked, "Is it okay if I call you a drama queen?"

Meanwhile, Robin said the surgery wasn't going well and asked Patrick to help. This time he agreed — provided she has dinner with him. Nikolas wandered into the hospital (WHY?) and ran into Emily. He told her gunplay is typical for Sonny, and she could get killed. Back at the courthouse, Sonny asked Ric to call Alexis off Sam, or she will regret pushing. Manny is likely to kill her after she gets him off. Alexis barged in and asked Sonny what he really wanted to say to her. Sonny feared Manny will come after his kids (including Kristina), but Alexis said doing her job doesn't make her a bad mother. Emily burst in to disagree. She blasted Alexis for making things personal, then Alexis asked Ric, "When did you seduce Emily?" Meanwhile, a cop appeared with Sam, explaining how she caught Sam coming out of the shower. "They dragged me naked out of my shower," Sam emphasized.

Dillon invited Lucky to stay at the mansion, but Tracy appeared and forbade another freeloading Spencer from living there. Then Bobbie appeared and told Lucas she loves him. But she couldn't say the word "gay." When Tracy warned Bobbie to "straighten this out" Bobbie lost it. She blasted Tracy's antics, and insisted she is proud of her son. Lucas' eyes glowed as he watched. "I love you," Bobbie told him — then vowed to get him counseling.

In interrogation, a cop brought Durant disappointing news: no gunshot residue on Jason. So Durant did the next logical thing, and arrested Sam. Back at GH, Carly asked Manny who pulled the trigger, but before he could answer, Robin burst in and threw her out. When Robin left, a black-gloved hand opened the door.

While Patrick asked Robin where she wanted to have dinner, Carly was angered that Skye had a dinner date with Alcazar. Speaking of Lorenzo, the black-gloved hand belonged to him. He knew Manny recognized the shooter, and advised him not to reveal that Alcazar had sent the shooter — that way they could both take down Sonny.
