GH Recaps Week of Aug. 1, 2005

Friday, August 5, 2005
Jason struggled with a syringe-wielding Dr. Thomas. When Sam entered the room, the doc grabbed her and threatened to kill her — just like he'd killed AJ. Sonny arrived, but couldn't prevent the doc from dragging Sam out of the room. Jason and Sonny decided to circumvent the cops. Meanwhile, the doc locked himself and Sam in a padded room.

Elizabeth lied to Courtney and Jax that she had a pleasant dream about the baby, but Jax sensed otherwise. Liz left and ran into Lucky on the docks. She confessed that she dreamed she'd changed her mind about giving the baby up and admitted that she will have trouble saying good-bye to the baby she's carrying. While Courtney and Jax smooched on the couch, Liz and Lucky hopped in the sack. Tender bonding ensued.

Alcazar went to the hospital to find Carly, whom he'd tracked down via a microchip in her phone. Carly was furious to learn of the tracking device, which he insisted was a safety precaution. She didn't have time to continue the argument because she had to help Jason. Carly phoned Jason's room and informed him that cops were swarming about the hospital. She got rid of the officers by loudly claiming to spot Dr. Thomas. The clueless cops ran off which allowed Sonny and Jason to slip out. Durant figured out what his daughter had done and called her on obstructing the search.

Skye tried and failed to get Luke's whereabouts out of Alcazar. He wouldn't tell her, but did get all flirty.

Reese found Sam and Dr. Thomas and confronted the psycho with a gun. He refused to release Sam and ordered Reese to put her gun down, which she did. Carly arrived a short time later and found Reese alone in the padded room wearing a straitjacket. Reese revealed that Thomas took her gun. Jason and Sam raced to the roof to get Thomas and the captive, but not before Thomas injected Sam, who collapsed in slow motion, and took off for a waiting helicopter.

What did Liz envision her unborn daughter wearing one day?

Jax and Courtney "welcomed" Elizabeth into their home. "Yeah, right," feigned Court about the "happy" homecoming. But then, the girls had a heart-to-heart. "I'm madly in love with Lucky," Liz reassured. They talked about Lucky's moving out and Court feeling left out of the whole surrogacy. Liz actually got Court excited about being a mom, and Court countered with her eternal gratitude for giving them a child. Aw! The girls were all content, causing Jax to smile, and Liz split to talk to Lucky, leaving Court and Jax to care for Cameron. Aw! Liz met with Lucky at Kelly's. They agreed that they missed each other, but he was adamant about the whole living apart thing. Later that night, as Jax and Courtney made out, Liz dreamed about the baby's birth — and that she didn't want to give up the baby!

"Hey, Dad," was what Maxie said when Mac walked in on her and Jesse writhing around naked in bed together. Mac, being the understanding dad he is, cut Maxie off and left. Meanwhile, Georgie expressed her frustration that she's not going to college with all of her friends, and Dillon comforted her. They had another sweet scene together. (They're so cute!) After the Mac attack, Jesse put his pants on and told Max to apologize to Mac. Meanwhile, Mac fumed at Mike (for no reason) and then told Georgie that Maxie's cut off. Li'l sis tried to talk Mac out of his decision, and was upset that he wouldn't budge. Georgie volunteered Dillon's room for Maxie to stay that night. Georgie saw them "home" and gave Dillon a big wet kiss. As sleepytime approached, Maxie invited Dillon into bed (to sleep) since he was uncomfortable on the floor. They spoke about movies and bonded.

In the hospital chapel, Alan spilled AJ's secret to Sonny. Monica chastised Alan for keeping the decade-old secret that AJ tried to kill Jason, spitting, "You have cost me both my sons and for that I cannot forgive you." Carly arrived at Jason's room, unwittingly preventing the sinister shrink from injecting J with a deadly drug. Carly chewed out Sam for not telling her about Jason's accident. Then, Sonny arrived and kept the girls at bay. Carly stormed off after being kept out of the loop, and Sonny filled Sam in about Dr. T's history with AJ.

At the nurses's station, Reese asked Durant to re-open the AJ murder case. She spewed her theory to him, but Durant blew her off until she can provide proof. Then, Carly walked up and demanded to know what's up with Jason. Bitchiness between the babes ensued. Sonny got bodyguard Max to look after Jason. He let Carly in, and as she gave J some love, Sonny and Sam broke into Dr. T's office, only to get caught red-handed by Durant. They spilled the truth about Alan, etc., but, surprise, Durant didn't believe them. Meanwhile, Dr. T. snuck up to Jason's room and knocked out Max. Out came the syringe and into the IV it went — until Jason awoke and grabbed Dr. Thomas's hand.

Courtney vented her surrogacy frustrations to Mike at Kelly's where, surprise, Nikolas showed up to meet Lucky. "We've got to stop meeting like this," she chuckled. Lucky arrived and vented that Jax is smothering him and Liz. Lucky said he felt left out; Court empathized. Then, Lucky raced off after hearing a dispatch about the fire at the apartment. Elizabeth awoke to an apartment in flames. Luckily Jax showed up and carried Liz and Cameron to safety. At the hospital, Liz informed Jax that Lucky moved out. Lucky, Nik and Court arrived, where Jax told them Liz and Cameron were going to be okay. Then, Jax chided Lucky for abandoning Liz, nearly provoking a fight. Lucky was relieved Liz and the kid were okay, but he left. Jax invited Elizabeth to stay with them, since Audrey took a world cruise and leased out her house. With no where else to go, Liz agreed. (Yeah, that will be a happy, carefree stay!)

Stan arrived at Casa de Corinthos with Dr. Thomas's audiotape and played it for Sonny, revealing that Dr. T. had hypnotized Michael. Sonny and Reese had a talk with Michael about the hypnosis. Michael didn't know if he had been hypnotized. Reese wasn't sure if he was put under to remember— or forget something. They headed off to the hospital to see Jason. There, they all compared notes on Dr. T.'s possible involvement with AJ and put together a viable scenario. The sinister shrink then showed up and said, "Why don't you just ask me?"

At the crash site, Monica and Alan tended to an injured Jason. At the hospital, Tony gave Jason a clean bill of health — he had a bump on his head, but no brain damage. Whew! Alan admitted to Monica that he was hoping Jason would wake up as Jason Quartermaine, even though he knew it would never happen. Monica saw Alan was holding a letter written by AJ (the one hidden behind the brick, remember?) and read it. She was shocked to discover that at the time of the accident, when it appeared Jason was going to be a vegetable, AJ arranged to have his brother killed. But, there was no indication of who he was plotting with. Alan told Monica that when they learned Jason would recover, albeit with brain damage, AJ was overwhelmed with remorse, which is why he wrote the confession. Monica chastised Alan for advising AJ to keep the secret, but Alan claimed he did it to protect his family, and now, his son's memory. Monica said a prayer for AJ's lost soul, and Sonny overheard.

Maxie made out with Jesse, but when they started rolling around on the bed, she got up to leave. Psyche! Now he knows how she feels, Max pointed out. Jesse was so unamused that he put his shirt back on. Jesse then told Maxie she was right — she could do much better than him. "I like danger," she countered. Meanwhile, Georgie was concerned when she couldn't find her sister. She and Dillon had a sweet talk about their relationship and kissed. Back at clinch central, Jesse told Maxie he wants her and promised he'd never send her away again. The pair started to make love, but then Mac walked in. Yikes!

Dr. T explained his case to Reese, Sam and Sonny, and it sounded convincing. Since the Scooby gang had no proof of their allegations, they realized the answers are floating around in Jason's head. Sam went to Jason's side and pleaded with him to wake up. He had a memory — he recalled AJ's deal with Dr. Thomas to kill him! The only problem was, he confessed it to Dr. T., not Sam.

Maxie asked Dillon if she was too blonde for Jesse. Why else would he have dumped the plucky high school graduate? she wondered. "Maybe you're dating the wrong sister," Georgie shot back to Dillon. As she aproned up, Doug told the brats that he hired Georgie back, despite their food fight from the other day. Just as Maxie vowed to not give up on Jesse, the 21 JUMP STREET clone showed up with another woman. To save Maxie from making a scene, Georgie made one instead, and dumped a meatball sandwich on Jesse's date. Doug, surprisingly, stuck up for Georgie and blamed the incident on Maxie. She tried to throw a drink on Jesse, but was surprised to discover that Jesse's "date" was a fellow cop and they were discussing business. "I hope your allowance will cover the dry cleaning," pretty cop replied to Max. Meow! Maxie ran off, and Georgie read Jesse the riot act. Jesse went after Maxie, and they kissed.

Jax got Elizabeth home safely, and stuck around while she prepped for a romantic dinner with Lucky. He enjoyed spending time with her, Jax replied. Lucky came home early, just in time to find Jax touching Liz's tummy. Lucky wasn't pleased. Liz put Cameron to bed, so the boys could talk. "Here you are fawning over them ... acting like you own them ... get the hell out," Lucky barked to the Aussie. Liz couldn't deal with Lucky's tantrum and broke into tears. He comforted her and apologized. Realizing he has become a jealous brute, he volunteered to move out. Liz asked him to stay. He replied they've said their vows twice, and he's a part of her life, but not until she births the Jax-spawn can they be happy together. A tearful good-bye ensued. Later, Liz awoke to a smoky apartment and collapsed.

Courtney spied Nikolas and Emily kissing on the docks, but was later discovered by the missus. "What are you doing here?" quizzed Em, "Waiting for Nikolas?" Emily reminded Courtney that Nikolas is still her hubby and asked what her intentions were. Um, nothing.... Nik returned, and Court left. Awkward silence. Emily left. Later, Nik went to see Jax — about Lucky. Jax had asked Nik to talk to Lucky so neither of their unions would be strained due to the surrogacy. (If he only knew... ) As Emily waited in bed alone at Wyndemere, Nik told Jax he'd talk to his bullheaded brother. Court came home, and she and Jax had words. Oy vey!

When Dr. Thomas threatened to call the cops on breaking and entering Jason and Sam, Jason pulled a gun. Sam talked him into leaving without incident. Back at home, Jason told Sam he wanted her to stay at Sonny's, then called Stan the man (the electronics expert) for help deciphering Dr. T's tape. That was a ruse. Stan actually passed along an experimental drug so Jason could tap into his pent-up memories of the accident. Jason told Sam he loved her and sent her on her way. Of course, she forgot something and caught J about to shoot up. She chewed him out, but acknowledged his good intentions and reluctantly gave her approval, as long as she could stay and watch over Jason. J shot himself up with the potion, broke into a sweat, and started having fuzzy visions of Alan and Dr. Thomas. Suddenly, he got up from the chair and stormed out. A disheveled Jason showed up at the Q manse, pulled a gun on Alan and Monica, and demanded to see AJ, whom he believed was still alive. Sam arrived and talked him down, but Jason stormed out. Sam ran after him down the road, only to find Jason on the ground — he had crashed his motorcycle.

Courtney conveniently forgot to mention to Jax that Nikolas was on the roof with her in the rain. But, Emily knew, and didn't say squat. Back at home, Court turned on the sex appeal and bedded her hubby, then felt guilty and spilled about her rooftop rain companion. Jax was a little confused about why Court would lie and started getting suspicious of his wife's relationship with Nik. So much for the truth setting you free, huh? Then Elizabeth called — her car broke down, so Jax sped off to her rescue, much to Court's chagrin. Meanwhile, Nik called Em on the carpet and pretty much said they've got no marriage left to save. He stormed off, but they met up later and, again, decided to give it the ol' college try.

Dr. Thomas chuckled because he had hypnotized Michael into believing that Rachel was the one who he saw kill AJ, and was seemingly getting away with it. Reese confronted him with her suspicions, and just as the sinister shrink was planning on injecting her with a deadly drug, hot cops Lucky and Jesse showed up to question the doc. He gave all the right answers, but Reese met the stud patrol outside and fed them her theory. Jesse got the call that Rachel died of a drug overdose and the handwriting in the suicide note was hers. Dr. T. eavesdropped and smiled — his plan was working beautifully. Just as the hunkacops were ready to close the case, Durant ordered them to dig up some new evidence — he thinks Sonny's responsible for Rachel's death and when Lucky said he refused to manufacture evidence, he goaded Lucky into attacking him. That Durant

Alcazar gave his okay for Carly to spend the night at Sonny's — to be with the kids. Carly thanked her hubby for his understanding, but Lorenzo let out a heavy sigh when he left. As Carly and Sonny tucked Michael into his bed, he regaled the folks about his adventure on the boat with Sam and Jason. His parents praised their brave boy in a nice warm family moment. Reese told Sonny she's still suspicious of Dr. T. and got a shock of her own when Carly appeared and said she was spending the night. Reese left, then so did Carly — she went back to her hubby.

Alan pulled a mysterious baggie out from behind a brick in the wall on the terrace. Monica caught him coming back in, and Alan lied, saying he was talking a walk in Lila's rose garden. Just then, Jason and Sam arrived and demanded answers about the treatment Jason received after his accident. Monica revealed the Dr. Thomas treated Jason while he was comatose, and stunned the amateur detectives with news that Jason's heart had stopped and he almost died. After they left, Monica slapped Alan and said he was responsible. She accused Alan of giving Jason a drug to stop his heart, rather than have him go through life as a vegetable. He saved Jason's life, he explained. Jason and Sam broke into Dr. T's office, where the page detailing Jason's near-death experience was missing. Just then, Dr. T. entered and caught them red-handed. Meanwhile, Alan read the letter that was hidden behind the brick and wept.
