GH Recaps Week of Aug. 15, 2005

A manic Carly, sporting a shiner, burst into Sonny's place with a picnic basket and suggested (Well, kinda demanded) they take Morgan and Michael out to the park. She flipped when Sonny suggested she see a therapist. Michael walked in and asked why his parents were fighting. Carly started chattering about how exciting it would be to go to the park. After asking why his mom was so worked up, he declined. When the boy left, Carly accused Sonny of turning their son against her and stormed off.
Jax and Emily commiserated over their marital woes during the flight back to Port Charles. He announced that he was divorcing Courtney. Em was surprised that he was willing to give up on his marriage just like that. He advised her to dump Nikolas. Back in the Bahamas, Nikolas pointed out to Courtney that their marriages were in rubble and pulled her into a long kiss; they ended up making out on the bed. Court pulled back and they both agreed they loved their spouses too much to cross the line.
At G.H., Alcazar asked Skye to take over as head of the Charitable Endowment. Skye said she wouldn't take the position if he was just offering it to hurt Carly, but Lorenzo talked her into it. Carly, who had already changed her outfit, arrived and was furious to discover that her estranged hubby had fired her. She started crying and screaming and carrying on.... Ric and Reese were also at the hospital and he was glad to hear she was sticking around Port Charles. She acknowledged that she was going to fight for Sonny.... Later, Sonny met with Ric and asked his brother to represent him, but only if he dropped his partnership with Reese. Ric turned the offer down and Sonny played the guilt card by bringing up all of his sib's misdeeds. Ric told Sonny he was an idiot for ditching Reese and walked out.
Em turned up at the hospital (Wow, she got through the baggage carousel fast!) and told Elizabeth, she was tired of talking about her rape and having it impact her life. Liz tried to make Em feel better by saying Nik turned to another woman for comfort, not sex. Jax barged in on Lucky to rant about Nikolas. He was all "your brother this" and "your brother that". Elizabeth arrived and pointed out that Jax was jumping to conclusions by assuming his wife cheated on him. Jax continued to insist Courtney had slept with Nik, prompting Liz to wonder what this meant for her unborn baby. Jax said he'd raise the child alone, and Liz balked... Emily visited Sonny and recounted her problems. Sonny wanted to know who the other woman was and furrowed his brow in an uh-oh way when he realized that Courtney was involved. Corinthos assured Em that the matter was in his hands now.
In the Bahamas, Nik, now with a shirt on, told a packing Courtney, he didn't regret anything, but would fight to get Emily back. Not so fast, their plane was delayed.
Andrew implored Alicia, really Sam, to defy Allegra and marry him that night. She agreed. Meanwhile, Jason, in a violent rage, demanded that Allegra reveal Sam's whereabouts. Once she complied, he started to run out, but got all tremor-y and collapsed. Meanwhile, "Alicia" and Andrew exchanged vows. She said she couldn't go through with it, but he urged her on and a teary "Alicia" visualized Jason's face, completed her vows and they were pronounced married. Then, the dancing began, just as you knew it would. Twirl around the fountain. Everybody twirl. Slow dip. More twirling. And it was over. But then Andrew had to make it all uncomfortable by bringing up how much he wanted to make love to his wife. In the meantime, Jason awoke in handcuffs and Allegra filled him in on the wedding. She released Jason, who stumbled about in a groggy fashion. In the meantime, Andrew led "Alicia" to the bed and promised to take her to paradise. She said she had to call her mother.

Brook Lynn got a weird call from a mysterious stranger, who didn't speak, and Georgie tried to comfort her. Dillon wondered if it could be the creep who spiked her and Maxie's drinks. (Well, it ain't AT&T with cheaper long distance rates, Brainiac!) Jesse arrived and told the girls that they're only two of this wacko's victims. Jesse brought the gals down to the police station and filled them in on a similar case. So far, the common denominator has been the Pizza Shack. The caller then phoned Maxie. Lucky and Jesse said the other girls weren't raped, but since he assailant didn't get to toy with Maxie because people were around, he'll probably come after her again. Jesse offered Maxie some chocolate chip cookies to soothe her nerves. (What police manual does that technique appear in?) Lucky told Mac that forensics found flecks of lead paint on the victims' clothes. "Hmm," thought the coppers. At the Pizza Shack, Georgie told Brook to be careful, and Lucas mentioned his painting job and got all weird when Dillon asked him when was the last time he "hooked up." Back at the Shack, Jesse was called away on business, and the stalker watched Maxie.
Caught only in robes, Nikolas and Courtney were shocked to see Emily in the hall of their hotel — and vice versa! Nik shuffled Em into his room to explain. Nik claimed it was all a coincidence, but Emily wasn't buying it. "What about you kissing on the Elm Street pier?" she shot back. "Was that an accident, too?" Then Jax showed up at Court's room with flowers and champagne, announcing his plans to make love to her in the dunes till the sun came up. "There's something I have to tell you first," said blonde to blonder. Trying to pawn it off on fate, Jax interrupted and came clean about refinishing the apartment. Court was miffed, but still had to spill her own beans. She ‘fessed up about Nik being across the hall and noted, "Emily may have misinterpreted something." Across the hall, Emily slapped her hubby across he face and said she wants a divorce. Back at the Jacks's, Mr. J was crestfallen. Court assured her husband she was not having an affair, and tried to explain her newfound friendship with Nikolas. Jax didn't buy the whole coincidence theory, either. (Bet that night in the dunes is off.) As Emily stormed out of the room with Nik chasing her, Jax and Court met them in the hall. "This is very uncomfortable," noted Jax. "It doesn't matter," spat Em. "My marriage is over." Jax punched out Nik and left in a huff. On the plane home, Jax and Emily were seated next to each other. (See? Coincidences do happen.) They vented with each other about their supposedly cheatin' spouses. "We kind of made the bed for them, didn't we?" pondered the J man. Back at the hotel, the "tried and convicted" duo of Nik and Courtney pondered: should they or shouldn't they?
Allegra broke up Sam and Jason's quality time, saying there was a problem. (Um, other than being held captive by her?) Andrew insisted on seeing his "bride" a.k.a. Sam. The way Allegra explained it, her harebrained scheme to get Andy's money seems almost, uh, feasible?!? Allegra was most thankful for their compliance. Jason was tossed back in the wine cellar, but couldn't find Alicia. Allegra walked in on Sam and was stunned at how much she looked like her daughter. Andrew entered and demanded dinner alone with his fiancée. Allegra wouldn't hear of it, but Sam said it was okay. Andrew put on some sexy music and Sam posed the question, "What would you say if I told you we've never met?" Cut to commercial. We're back.... Sam played it coy, and Andrew blathered on about their back story. Back in the wine cellar, Alicia was tossed back in after trying to escape. Andrew eschewed the sexiness of the rumba and took Sam's hand to dance. After a few steps, Andy assumed the reason she stunk was that her mother was making her tense. Downstairs, Alicia told Jason she bribed one of the guards to escape. "This unfortunate alliance stops now," bellowed Allegra as she entered. She had Alicia removed, but not before the gal slipped the bribe (her other sapphire earring) into Jason's back pocket. Back on the dance floor, Sam fell. Andrew thought she was faking that she can't dance, but said, "Don't worry, we're going to throw your mother a curve." Jason later offered the guard the other earring, but Sam was gone when he made it topside. Outside, Andrew surprised "his bride" and said they were going to marry on the spot.

Reese returned to the scene of her brawl, now all cleaned up, and told Ric she's leaving town. He implored her to stay, and then Sonny arrived. Reese presented her options about staying and going, and asked what he thinks she should do. Alexis showed up and got Ric out of there. She then goaded Ric about the lawsuit she launched against him for not allowing her to join his and Reese's firm, but she indicated she really just wants them to be closer. (Aww.) Back at Kelly's, "I don't forgive easily," Sonny remarked. "It's your call." "When I told you I loved you, it was not a lie," Reese countered. "And I know that you love me too. If you don't, tell me and I'll walk out that door and I won't look back." But before he could say anything, Kelly's was sprayed with gunfire! Sonny leapt on top of Reese to protect her. Afterward, some thug told Sonny that Alcazar was back in business.
Diego asked Lorenzo why there were guards in the house. He replied he's "diversifying" and offered to teach his son how his business worked. Carly burst in, and Lorenzo abruptly barked that her things were boxed and stored in the garage, and he ordered Carly to leave and never come back. She huffed off. A stern Alcazar then had Tracy and Skye summoned to his place, and told them that ELQ was "diversifying." (There's that word again.) Steamed, Tracy split, but sultry Skye stuck around. She warned him not to use ELQ as a front for his "other" line of business. Then the phone rang. "That's very disappointing," mumbled Lorenzo into the phone before he hung up. "I won't be your mob whore," spat back Skye. Lorenzo offered to provide her with more excitement than Luke could provide, and she slapped him, just as Sonny arrived and said, "You always did have a way with the ladies." (Good one, Sonny!) Skye walked out. "Your people ruined my lunch," cracked Corinthos. "Stay out of my way and I'll stay out of yours," Lorenzo warned.
Emily confronted Elizabeth about Nikolas and Courtney's kiss. Liz apologized for what she saw, but not about being honest. Then Jax showed up. Liz shuffled Emily out before she could say anything about the peck. At the hospital, Em told Monica she didn't know what she was talking about, then quizzed Lucky about what he knew. Lucky spilled that Nik didn't go to New York on business — he went to the Bahamas. "So did Courtney," remarked crestfallen Em. (Some tough cop you are, Lucky! Sheesh.) Lucky berated Liz for spilling about the kiss, and mentioned Em's heading south. Then a limo driver Jax dispatched arrived to pick up the lovebirds. Jax surprised Liz and Lucky with a newly refinished apartment — that was the business deal he was working on. But when he said he was Bahamas-bound, she said, "You can't go." (Now that's subtle!) Lucky managed to keep Liz mum, and Jax headed off.
In the Bahamas, Nik and Court got each others breakfasts by mistake — an easy mistake to make, though, since they were across the hall from each other at the same hotel. After Court accidentally knocked the carts over, the kids dined together on what survived and stressed they were just friends. Jax called Court, who declined to mention her traveling companion. Later, Nik and Court returned dripping wet — they got caught in a storm by the pool. You could cut the sexual tension with a knife, but they agreed to stay apart. But after Court entered her room, Nik heard her scream. He broke in to find her on a chair screaming, "Snake!" He busted up laughing. She jumped into his arms to avoid the slitherer. As Em arrived at Nik's empty room, a now-robed Court invited Nik to stay and have dinner with her. After building a fort of green beans, Nik took the cart out to the hall. Em saw the cart with the vegetarian design and knew it was Nik's After putting thee brakes on a potentially romantic moment, Nik went to leave and he and Court opened the door — to Emily.
On the docks, Carly met Bobbie, who confronted her daughter about the fight with Reese. "I've made a lot of mistakes, but I've learned from them," she noted to her daughter. "You don't seem to." Bobbie then brought up Carly's own arrival in town. (Remember how she stole Tony away from her mother?) On that note, Bobbie left, without the fish and chips Carly had picked up for her. Then, there's Reese, again. Reese told Carly about the shooting and said her rival doesn't deserve to be loved by anyone. "I hope you rot in hell," she spat before leaving.

As Ric advised Sonny to forgive Reese, Sonny accused his little brother of hiding something. When Sonny asked Ric if he had feelings for Reese, Ric denied it, and reminded him that Reese is in love with only one man — Sonny. Ric advised giving Reese a second chance.
In this corner, the conniving Carly "Caroline" Alcazar.... And in this corner, the rascally Reese "Charlotte" Marshall. Today, the ladies squared off at Kelly's in the battle to end all battles. Carly threw the first punch, then an order of fries, at Reese, who countered by tossing Carly over a table. Patrons fled. Justus ran downstairs to break up the brawl, but Mike insisted the girls work it out for themselves. Chairs, food and dishes flew as Mike called Sonny and told him to get down to the restaurant, stat! Mike and Justus broke up the battling babes. But not for long....
Round Two: As Justus nursed the black eye he inadvertently got from Reese, Carly and her opponent taunted each other again, each blaming the other for ruining their lives. Just as Reese threw Carly to the ground and sat on her chest ready to pummel her, Sonny arrived and pulled Reese off his ex, allowing Carly to get one last punch in. Sonny told Mike he'd pay for the damages, and Carly was crestfallen that Sonny was concerned about Reese's injuries and not her own. Then, Lorenzo walked in, not looking happy. "I'm not here to rescue you, Carly," he huffed to his blood-splattered bride. "I came here to eat something. I don't care who attacked you ... She's all yours, Corinthos." And with that, Lorenzo walked out, crushing Carly.
Sam pulled the letter opener on Allegra and told her if she complied, no one would get hurt. In the wine cellar, Alicia asked Jason about Sam's relationship with her mother. When Jason said Sam's mother was dead, Alicia warned Jason that Allegra is a snake and Sam needs to beware of her. Upstairs, Allegra beseeched Sam to use the blade and, "Take away my pain." The next thing we saw, Allegra came downstairs and informed Jason that Sam is fine. Jason broke free and grabbed her by the neck. Her henchman, Dante, showed up with a gun, and Jason let her go. Allegra ordered Dante to take Jason to see Sam to know she's okay. The lovers reunited, and Jason found the secret phone line that Alicia had mentioned. The only problem was he didn't have the access code. Sam suggested they go along with Allegra's demands. She doesn't believe Allegra will hurt them. Downstairs, Allegra told Alicia that she no longer serves a purpose in her plan.
Jax embraced Courtney, and she saw Nikolas. Zoinks! Jax noticed something was amiss, but she didn't say anything. Court asked Jax if they could leave town for a while. The jet was being serviced, he said, so they decided to slum it and fly commercially. Meanwhile, Nikolas visited Emily at the hospital, and suggested they give each other space. Em told Monica she can't believe her and Nik have become one of those couples who avoid each other, but she's not ready to give up yet. As Em expressed her worries that Nik could look elsewhere, Elizabeth overheard and later blabbed to Monica about seeing Nik kiss Court on the docks. Dr. Q said, for the moment, they should keep that news between themselves. Just then, Court walked up, and you should've seen the look Monica threw her way. Monica held her tongue, though, then saw Court and Nik chat it up in the hall. Nik left the hospital and went down to the docks, where he ran into Lucky. Nik confessed his lustful thoughts. He said he needs to get out of town for a few days — the Bahamas, maybe. Back at the hospital, Monica proved that when she said, "For the moment," she really meant for a moment, as she immediately blabbed to Emily about Nik and Court's kiss. (Good work, Dr. Q! Hope you're better at doctor/patient confidentiality!) Em was in disbelief and said she'd talk to her husband and straighten this out. After recalling catching Nik and Court on the roof, Nik called from the plane and told Em he was heading to New York on business. Guess who plopped her blonde butt down across the aisle from him? Then Jax called her. Guess what? He's delayed a day, but told Courtney he'd meet her in the Bahamas. Uh-oh!
Back at Sonny's, Reese told Sonny the details of what happened, and admitted that she, in part, took out her anger at their situation on Carly. She apologized to Sonny for hurting him. Reese got up to leave, but Sonny stopped her. Across town, Leticia arrived at Carly's room with Morgan, but she suggested the child stay at Sonny's for the night. Back at Sonny's, he allowed Reese to spend the night, but she refused to stay as a guest and left. The episode ended with one of those great musical montages, with Reese collapsing into tears after leaving Sonny's, Carly weeping at the sight of her bruised face (and life), then contemplating her wedding ring, and finally, Sonny sitting alone nursing a drink in the dark.

In the wine cellar, Alicia refused to unlock Jason unless he helped her escape, while upstairs, Andrew was turned on by her look-alike Sam. Allegra interrupted and spared Sam his affections. Sam branded Allegra a con artist. Allegra then admitted that Alicia is still alive. "Then why do you need me?" Sam quizzed. As Allegra detailed Alicia's hard-luck story (naive, been duped before by men, blah, blah, blah), Sam saw that Allegra was only trying to protect her daughter — in a really warped way. Allegra begged Sam to wed Andrew and consummate the marriage. "I don't have long to live," Allegra uttered as she asked Sam to consider her plan for the three women to split the divorce settlement. Alicia cajoled Jason, saying he had beautiful blue eyes. She then hid when Sam entered. They embraced, and Jason instructed Sam to nab a letter opener upstairs so he could use it to escape. Sam left, and Alicia warned him not to trust her mother. As Sam stole the opener, Allegra brought Sam some stunning dresses to wear. Allegra then saw her holding the opener in the mirror's reflection, and gave Sam her permission to plunge it into her heart.
Sonny reminded Reese she promised not to betray him. "I kept a secret. There's a difference," she said in her defense. "Not to me," the mob boss replied. Sonny called Reese sick. She called him cruel and denied wanting to take what was Carly's life. "I'm in love with you, Sonny," she insisted. Reese said Charlotte's dead now, but Sonny shot back that while he lies in business, he does not when it comes to his personal relationships. Later, Aunt Courtney and and Michael returned from the carnival, and Sonny broke the news to them that Reese wasn't going to be moving in after all. Sonny filled in Courtney about the whole Reese/Charlotte scenario, and Court was surprisingly sympathetic toward Reese. On the docks, Ric found Reese in tears and comforted her. Ric went to see Sonny and when pressed, he confessed he knew the truth about Charlotte. Sonny was miffed. The brothers argued about how no one's perfect, and withholding that news was to spare him heartbreak once they'd become close. "It's all about words with lawyers," Sonny hissed. Then he asked what other secrets he and Reese were keeping from him.
At the Alcazar estate, Lorenzo tore up his living room while kicking Carly out. Carly said she loved him, but he didn't want to hear it. Carly admitted she did still love Sonny. Lorenzo said Carly was literally driving him crazy and for that, she had to go, even though he still loved her. "All I know is we are never going to be together," he barked as she cried out his name as he stormed up the stairs. Later, Court met with Carly at Kelly's, where she unloaded about how lousy the men in her life are to her. The women got testy with each other, though, and Court walked away. Then, guess who came through the door? Reese told Carly she and Sonny broke up. Carly didn't care — she punched Reese in the jaw. Reese then broke a glass and goaded, "Bring it on."
At the Pizza Shack, Jesse checked in on Maxie's condition and was told she'd be okay. He shared the news with a frantic Georgie. Jesse's interrogation of Georgie revealed that Lucas was the last one closest to Maxie's drugged drink. Jesse had an officer check Lucas's pockets. Just then, Brooke Lynn showed up in a drugged state and very upset. At the hospital, Mac read Jesse the riot act about jeopardizing Maxie (while Nu-Felicia was nowhere to be found.) A newly alert Maxie exonerated Jesse from Mac's accusations. Brook Lynn was admitted to the hospital, and Lucky questioned her as well. After which, she was tested for sexual assault. The results concluded that Brook was not raped, but she could not recall her actions. As Brook slept, her phone rang, and we saw a gloved hand on the other end of the phone — next to a nude photo of the teen!
