GH Recaps Week of Oct. 31, 2005Friday, November 4, 2005 Emily directed Sonny and Reese to salvage supplies from the wreck. Tracy, Luke, and Skye continued to argue about Lulu as Monica came to the nurses' station and briefed the staff. Jax cautioned pregnant Courtney, who bristled at him as they reached an impaled Lucky on the tracks. Liz was terrified her new hubby would bleed to death. Nikolas called for Emily and the two sides from the Love Train dug to get to each other. Reese had to sit down, clutching her side. Monica filled Luke in on the train wreck, who left to find his son. Jason arrived at the site and eavesdropped on the rescue workers. Diego arrived with pictures of Carly boarding the train for Lorenzo. At approximately 3:23 p.m., the Voice-Over Guy announced Laura Wright and lo (not Lo), there was Carly's face! Max gave Sam his gun before going to look for help. Sam assured Robin she could shoot Manny. Maniac Manny grinned as he surveyed the carnage. Lorenzo told Diego not to list Carly among the missing in case she'd caused the crash. Jason learned that the only safe way in to the tunnel was a ventilation shaft. As the two teams met up, Courtney was less than thrilled by Emily and Nik's tight, romance novel hug. Liz and Emily tended to Lucky and Jax went for help. Outside, Diego marveled at his papi's concern for Carly. "I thought you didn't love Carly anymore." "That's what I thought, too," Lo admitted. Justus arrived to flex his muscles and Lainey to wield her mad medical skillz. Lulu arrived to remind Luke that Nikolas and Elizabeth needed saving, too. At GH, Monica filled Alan in and defended Jason's decision to go save Sam. If Alan were trapped, she'd spend HER last hours trying to save HIS ungrateful butt, too. Sonny admitted to Reese that he'd let Jax go be heroic because he was claustrophobic. Alexis told a hovering Ric, "The baby's coming." Outside, Mac made with the nepotism, telling Jesse his niece Robin had priority. Meanwhile, Lulu reminded Luke about Laura: "She loved Nikolas and me even if you don't." Ouch! Lulu informed Skye that it was her brothers who "made me feel like I had a family." Skye assured the girl that Luke would save Nikolas and prove himself a hero. Sonny yelled at Ric to quit dwelling on any potential Alexis-and-baby death. "Why you gotta pick now to be my brother?" Ric snarled. "Because now is when it matters the most!" Sonny cried. Alexis freaked when she realized all of Kristina's potential caregivers were trapped. Ric told his wife to "breathe." On the less neurotic train, Sam left her gun with Robin and went for help. Jason told Luke to step over him if he collapsed and then lowered himself into the ventilation shaft. Rescue Dude warned Mac and Lorenzo about the tunnel's status and Lorenzo pointed out everyone could be buried alive. (Way to jinx it, Hombre!) Med Student Emily surmised Reese could have internal injuries and said Alexis was dilating. A fading Lucky told Liz he wished they could have had a baby, but he'd had a great life — and the last 24 hours were the best. "You will always be my husband," Liz told him. She kissed him and he passed out. And the tunnel collapsed on top of everyone — except for Carly, whom Manny loomed over maniacally...
Thursday, November 3, 2005 On the Disoriented Express, Reese told Ric to stop trying to reach Sonny. She knew it wouldn't work. Courtney and Nikolas commiserated over their relationships with their not-quite-exes. At GH, Michael refused to leave Jason's side. A frantic Lorenzo and his men searched Rose Lawn and he received a call about Manny's possible whereabouts. Michael called Sam and told her about Jason's collapse. Sam told Michael to tell Tony Jones NOT to operate. They were coming! Carly bumped Robin while walking up the aisle and neither Sam nor Robin nor Max recognized her (so she's headless to them, too?) while Manny also lurked, unnoticed. Sonny turned to Ric for advice next and Ric told him not to slam the door in his face and then crack it open. Sonny got huffy and said that Ric had "disrespected" him. Ric wondered if he'd feel differently if Jason had slept with Carly. Nearby, Nikolas and Jax played a rousing game of "pot and kettle" about Courtney while Lucky and Liz snuck away to Jax's private car to dance. "It's just you and me," sighed Liz. (Liz, that's Jason and Sam's song. Yours is "Where You Are.") On Train #2, Sam filled Robin and Max in on Jason's hospital visit when the lights in the car went off — and Flannel Manny appeared at the end of the aisle. Somewhere in time, Lorenzo and his boys busted in on some random chick and demanded Manny's location. Back on 574, Sam tried to get the stereotypical engineer to stop the train or call the cops about Manny. When he refused, she pulled her shiny silver gun and stormed back to the car. At GH, Michael refused to let Tony operate on Jason. Sonny pointed out that Jason had Carly first and then Ric finally understood the score: Jason was Sonny's brother, Carly was the woman he loved — and he and Reese were chopped liver. Reese tearfully eavesdropped as Ric said it would "always be Carly" for Sonny. In Jax's car, Liz and Lucky danced and Liz sighed, "Everything's so perfect" — jinxing the trip. On the other train, Manny shot Choo Choo Charlie before he could finish calling the dispatch. Somewhere, Lorenzo questioned Random Chick, who said his wife was dead. Carly's hand looked pretty lively on the train, though, as Robin and Sam wondered how Manny had gotten past them and the train began speeding up. Back at GH, Monica told Tony he wasn't operating until Sam and Robin got there. The gals, however, were busy finding the engineer dead. They tried to pull back the train's throttle. No dice! And they were heading straight for another train! If a train leaves Port Charles traveling X miles per hour, and a train leaves New York City traveling Y miles per hour, they will collide at approximately 3:55 p.m. Smoke billowed, sparks flew, sets collapsed and various PC residents went flying...
Wednesday, November 2, 2005 In NYC, Robin spoke at a conference about her HIV status. Cue Stone Cates flashbacks (and the recapper sobbing). Sonny assured Michael that Carly was fine (liar!) and then wondered why Jason wasn't at GH like a good little dying hitman. Lucky and Liz packed (for real, this time) and reminisced and smooched some more while Nik swooped down on Courtney and invited her to go away with him. Naturally, Jax interrupted and forbid Courtney and her uterus from going anywhere. Emily found preggers Alexis at the train station and invited her into the honeymoon car so the Nik-Courtney thing wouldn't be so awkward (good luck with that). Lex loved her nephew but he was "an insensitive clod." Men were "morons," she told Em. Meanwhile, at the hospital, Reese mentioned she was going to NY on a train and Ric (coughmoroncough) asked if he could come along. At Rose Lawn, Flannel Manny visited Carly and told her that Sonny and Jason would die and she'd help make it happen. Back at Castle G., Sonny told Jason he could investigate Manny lurking around Rose Lawn if he promised to go on Robin's meds. "You have my word." After Robin wrapped up her talk about the AIDS pandemic's spread in Africa, Sam introduced herself. Back at GH, Nik and Courtney told Jax to butt out. Jax reminded them that he'd lived through one miscarriage and didn't want another. Cranky "500 years pregnant" Alexis snarked at Ric and Reese when they showed up on the Love Train and Ric snarked back, "Too bad!" At the conference, a determined Sam and Robin bonded over Jason's "best option." Jason poked around Carly's room and her well-manicured hands revealed she was scared (and recast). The Rose Lawn groundskeeper recognized Manny's picture. He'd hired the dude. D'oh! Over at Greyskull, Lorenzo railed at Sonny for breaking Carly down bit by bit and keeping her from treatment. Naturally, Sonny brought up the Panic Room (which he never mentions to Ric) and Alkie bailing on Carly when he finally got her. "Your marriage to Carly doesn't mean spit." (Only shooting her in the head is meaningful...) Mr. Itchy Trigger emphatically warned Lorenzo that if he let Dr. Kim drug Carly, he'd kill him. Shakin' in his shoes (not), Lorenzo told Sonny to go ahead and try it. At the depot, Liz and Lucky cuddled with Cameron and Grams before boarding. Jax joined Nikolas and Courtney (and Emily, Ric, Reese, and Alexis) on the Love Train. (Gee, you'd think this was a November sweeps ploy or something.) Lorenzo arrived at Rose Lawn and discovered that Carly was missing! Where was she? On the same train that Robin and Sam were on! (FYI, Rose Lawn is in Sinclair Falls and the stop between it and PC is College Point.) Sam wondered if Robin really had broken Jason's heart. Back in PC, it was Jason's head in peril. He hit the floor, his nose leaking blood. A train tech found Manny in a restricted area of Commuter 574 as they headed toward the tunnel. Hmmm. And train 912 from Port Chuckles would be clearing the tunnel on schedule. Hmmm. On the Love Train (912), various couples chatted and Reese wistfully hoped for Sonny to show up. And he DID — immediately going to Emily and scoring a cushy ride to Sinclair Falls to see Carly. He watched the beauteous babysitter snap a photo of Liz and Lucky with an interested gleam...
Tuesday, November 1, 2005 Alexis told Ric she didn't care whom he slept with, and please get off the table. Alexis dismissed Ned so she could talk to Ric. "I'm too tired and too drunk to lie," he admitted. Alexis scolded Ric for cheating — on Sonny! She admitted she has a knack for picking the wrong men. Ric chose his brother over her, and even a baby couldn't change his priorities. Alexis had heard enough. Later, at GH, a strolling Reese ran into Ric who recounted how he spilled their secret. "Isn't it funny how Sonny brings out the worst in us?" he asked. Reese said there's not much left in PC for her, but Ric said he can't leave town because of the baby. Just as they snuggled Alexis appeared and announced she's leaving town. She's taking a train to New York — "I'm not coming back." Elizabeth and Lucky toasted their love, again, and smooched. They thanked Nikolas and Emily. And Nik toasted the happy couple, again. Emily revealed their wedding presents: the honeymoon suite at Metro Court and an antique train ride to Manhattan. Another gift: Audrey got a line! Later, Nik confessed to Lucky that Jax is the father of Courtney's baby. Elizabeth remarked to Emily that Nik is now available to her, but Emily protested that there was no room for her in Nik's life as she looked forlornly at Liz's wedding veil. Lucky told Nik he hoped involving Nik and Em in the wedding would lead to a reconciliation, but Nik confessed he is in love with Courtney, and Jax isn't. Liz told Emily that moving on can be good, but sometimes going back can be even better. Later, Liz and Lucky thanked everyone (again) and and weepy Courtney sulked out to the fountain (again) and Jax followed (again). Jax said the divorce papers arrived and he planned to sign them tonight, but now he can't do that. Jax won't contest an offshore divorce if that's what she wants, but he won't instigate it. We must "consider our child." Elsewhere, Luke and his Spanky Buns reminisced about their "drunken escapade." Emily praised Lila, while Monica and Alan expressed hope Em can be happy, too. Alcazar gave Skye non-alcoholic champagne and invited her to Europe, but she declined because she feared he'd moon over Carly. "Carly haunts me, just like Luke haunts you," he said, and they smooched. Skye balked and Alcazar left. Tracy called her a fool for turning down Alcazar because Luke will never be available. "Luke loves Laura, but we're married," she spat. "Luke and I are perfect for each other; we've both given up on love." She told Skye to see where Alcazar leads (um...Europe!) Meanwhile, Lulu scolded Luke for drinking and spending time with Lucky instead of her. All she learned from her parents was "how to say goodbye." Luke poured another drink and Skye tried to console him. "You ever get the feeling that you died and nobody bothered to tell you?" Nikolas and Emily congratulated each other for pulling off the dream wedding, but all fairy tales must end. Then Courtney told Nik she feels like she owes her child a chance to be with its mother — and father. Shirtless, tattooed Lucky poured champagne while Elizabeth slinked out in her 18th-century, all-concealing corset. They moved fireside and made love.
Jason wanted to patrol the halls. In Carly's room, Manny came out of the closet (NOT like that, silly!), and hushed Carly.
Monday, October 31, 2005 As the bridal party made their way down the aisle, Luke beamed; Nikolas seemed stunned by Emily. Liz glowed as Audrey looked on. Lucky seemed to realize just how genuinely lucky he is. Meanwhile, Jax eyed Courtney; Bobbie eyed Luke; Skye eyed Luke; Luke eyed Lucky; Nik eyed Emily; and Ned eyed Alexis. Lucky recited his vows, beginning, "You're just beautiful," and recalled "marrying" as teens, but now they are living up to their promises. "I promise to give you the best of myself. I loved you then, and I love you now." Liz admitted they had to "grow up a little bit" before finding their way back together. "I will never take you or our love for granted," she vowed. They exchanged rings and kissed during a nice swooping crane shot. Nik explained why the ceremony was in the ballroom in Wyndemere: No, he didn't say that it was an existing set, he recounted how teen Lucky and Liz watched Stefan's engagement "bacchanalia" and shared their first dance outside this ballroom (the crowd actually moaned "Awwwwww" in unison), then introduced their first dance. Their waltz was so choreographed Kelly Monaco should have been involved. Alan said Emily belongs "here, with your husband." Outside, Nik consoled Courtney, who revealed she got the DNA results: It's Jax's baby. Both were disappointed. Nik vowed to act as father, but Jax stepped in. Nik left, and Jax asked, how? Why? He offered to raise the kid as husband and wife, but Courtney balked, insisting they're just friends. Meanwhile, inside, Luke told Lucky and Liz he "sorta lost my faith in the institution of marriage," but he's counting on them to change his mind. Brook Lynn asked Jesse to dance, but he rushed off. An obviously tipsy Ric told Liz he regretted blowing his chance with her. Liz grabbed her bouquet for the toss, so Ric grabbed two drinks. As Maxie prepped for the bouquet catfight, she got a mysterious note. Alice caught the bouquet. Later, at Kelly's, Jesse wheeled out a birthday cake for Maxie (even though her birthday is on Halloween and the wedding invitation clearly stated Oct. 28). She blew out the candles and they smooched. Back at Wyndemere, Nik tripped over a chair and told Emily about the paternity results — she managed to (mostly) suppress her smile. Meanwhile, Lucky removed Liz's garter and tossed it — into Luke's drink, so he danced a polka with Alice. Afterward, Luke found a sullen Lulu, who blasted him for missing her 17th birthday. (To be fair, she was SORASed, so it's not really his fault. We all missed a few b-days...) Jason remembered Robin, but, "I don't want your help," he snarled and hung up. Jason told a weeping Sam, "I am not afraid to die," but he is "afraid to see pity in your eyes." Sam begged him not to give up without a fight. He vowed to protect her from Manny, and left. Sonny's man at Rose Lawn reported that Carly is feeding herself. Then Robin called to say Jason could die, so he went to Sam, who said Jason is getting worse. Sam collapsed in Sonny's arms just in time for Jason to see them. "Why you being so selfish?" Sonny demanded. Jason insisted he won't live in a wheelchair or an institution or make Sam take care of him. Sonny said Sam would die for him, and, "You don't spit on that." Then Sonny ordered him to stay alive. Sam came downstairs with a bag. "Are you leaving?" Jason asked. Meanwhile, Robin was invited to speak at a New York AIDS conference. At Wyndemere, Ric drunkenly complained about Sonny's obsession with betrayal, then climbed atop a table and proclaimed, "I slept with Reese!" Liz and Lucky cut the cake, smooshed it into their mouths, then smooched.
