GH Recaps Week Of Feb. 20, 2006Friday, February 24, 2006 Luke rushed to the hotel, remembering that the candy wrapper clue was a Metro Court pillow mint and Jason told him about Carly's new clue. But was "HS" a place or a person? (Actually, it's both!) On the Haunted Star, Holly Sutton revealed that Crylium had been her dead husband's company and she had to "turn a profit." Carly was shocked to realize the woman had lived in Port Charles. "Part of me died here," Holly assured her. Meanwhile, Liz made like a good ex-wife and called the new wife. Alexis rushed to GH, berating Ric for keeping her out of the loop. Patrick took out his frustration on a locker and found an overloaded Lainey crying. Robert answered a call from the voice-boxed Holly, who noted he was playing the hero. Luke and Jason arrived to the Haunted Star, guns ablazing. "Miss Sutton has taken a lethal turn since our lips last touched," Luke noted, bitterly, recognizing his ex. Gunfire erupted but Holly escaped with the case! Dillon obligingly took Georgie out for some air while Maxie and Jesse caught up. "Think positive," he urged her. When he left, she reached for the phone; she needed Lucas. "Sensitivity's not my greatest gift," Patrick told Lainey. "You might be wrong about that," she observed. Patrick changed into fresh scrubs and Liz (unimpressed by the shirtlessness) told him that Mike Corbin had gone AWOL. Alexis sponged Ric, who told her he'd asked Sonny to care for Molly, revving up with the deathbed angst again.
Carly hovered over wounded Luke as Jason came back sans Holly. "What the Hell are we gonna do now?" Luke wondered as they brainstormed. Patrick found Mike mourning on the roof and challenged him to bet on odds that Courtney's son might live. Before she died, Sam wanted to thank Sonny for "giving her" Jason. (Hasn't she seen the ABC promos during the commercials? She'll be fine!) Alexis refused to make things comfortable for Ric. "How am I supposed to go on without you?" she asked. Ric sensed a secret hidden behind her passionate arguments and wondered what it was. Robert answered the phone again, asking where the extortionist was. "I'm right here," said Holly, from behind him. Robert blasted his ex for playing with lives while his daughter was inside dying. In fact, why shouldn't he strangle her right now? Holly warned him that if she didn't get $6 million and notify her goons, the virus would be poured into the city's water supply. (Oh, that would be why.) Meanwhile, Jason and Carly searched a nearby airfield and found the case of antidote. Under Ric's scrutiny, Alexis admitted she'd lost someone she'd never told him about: "I had a baby when I was very young. A little girl." Elsewhere, Sam was (not) dying with so many questions about her life. She murmured that she loved Jason and flatlined....
Thursday, February 23, 2006 Lucky promised to run forensics on the candy wrapper clue as his dad and Robert kept brainstorming. Carly heard the "J" word (Jason) and interrupted, refusing to let Jase's name be maligned (well, any more than it already is). Luke calmed her and wondered if she recognized the wrapper. Back at home, Alexis joyfully reunited with Kristina and Molly. Alexis praised heroic Kristina for calling 911 and saving her. Jason confided to Sonny that Sam was dying. "You gotta fight for her," Sonny told him. "Maybe she's just tired of fighting," Jason reasoned. Jax spent quality time with John, telling him to "pull through this" for his mom. Clean-shaven and showered Nikolas came to check on the baby and Jax told him the bad news. Carly snarked about the "stupid candy wrapper." "I'm glad she's part of your family and not mine," Robert told Luke, wryly. Extortionist Holly called again, telling Luke that everyone in the hospital would pay for him tagging along with Robert. The price tag was now $2 million for each vial. When she named a place to meet, Luke realized she'd been out of town as long as Robert: The meeting place was totally old-school GH! Sonny noted that Ric didn't look so good (you think?) and Ric offered up some deathbed confessions. Tired of fighting, but not talking, Sam did much the same, telling Jason getting to him was her journey. (And getting through the lengthy scene was the recapper's.) Carly dropped by the Metro Court, investigating guests who registered with foreign passports — like one "Mr. O'Dell" who the staff had never seen. Carly let herself into O'Dell's room and poked around. Well, look at that: All the men's suits in the closet still had tags and the bags held women's lingerie. Ric navel-gazed, asking, "Any chance you got regrets like that?" "I should've tried a lot harder instead of pushing you away," Sonny admitted. Ric then asked him to look after Molly just like he would Kristina. Alan told Nikolas he was cleared to go home but Nikolas refused to leave and knocked over some supplies. Jax confided to John that he'd struck out telling the truth to Nik again. Carly hid in the closet as Holly came back and locked away the serum. Kristina found Alexis clipping a lock of Molly's hair for memory's sake. "Mommy's just a sentimental fool." And, hmmm, Kristina found another lock of hair in Alexis' purse. Carly called Jason and told him that a woman had the antidote in Room 917 but the call was cut off! Carly lay unconscious on the floor...
Wednesday, February 22, 2006 Alexis passed out, dreamed of a white light and a baby, and screamed, "Nooooo!" Luke arrived with a million bucks from Lorenzo and Jason kept being surly. When Patrick revealed that Robin was growing worse, Jason shared the whole Maarkam Island tale. Patrick rushed to test Carly's blood for clues to the antidote and Robert and Jason achieved a tentative truce. "Was I a good enough boy to get into Heaven?" Danny asked. "Say hello to your niece for me," Sam told him, weeping as he went to see the angels. Alexis awoke and shared her dream with Ric, who told her the antidote was working. Carly agreed to let Patrick analyze her blood and assured Jax that they wouldn't lose John. "Fate wouldn't be that cold." Nik offered to make arrangements for Courtney, and Jax began to tell him that he was John's real daddy, but changed his mind. Left alone, Jax apologized to John and told him he couldn't love him any more than if he were his own. "You're not afraid of needles, are you?" Patrick asked, just before Carly felt faint. Liz answered Lucky's second call, but got only static. After (unconvincingly) telling Patrick she was okay, Liz kept moving. "I'm starting to realize how easy it would be for you to plug me in the back and abscond with the dinero," Luke sniped as he and Robert snuck around the docks. A shrouded woman checked the money and as she pulled out a vial, Robert took aim. Shots were fired — but not from his gun! Luke didn't see anything, "except shapely ankles holding up a long coat." She'd left the money and Robert feared she'd nix a re-meet. At her locker, Liz finally gave in to tears. When her phone rang again with no response, she threw it against the wall. "Elizabeth?" Lucky questioned from behind her. Relieved, she ran into his arms. Yay! Jax told Carly that John had the virus, but she refused to accept defeat. "We are going to pour every ounce of love and energy into this little boy and prove that he can beat the odds," she insisted. Nik, meanwhile, spoke to Courtney from the chapel, telling her John was amazing. "Not that you give a damn, but my brother just died," Sam shot at an apologetic Alexis. Ric explained it was the doc's decision, but that didn't stop Sam from going on the attack. "You're sorry a lot, aren't you, Alexis?" she snarled through tears and listed her grievances, from when their daughters' lives were on the line to Alexis putting Manny back on the street. Sam screamed her hate until pain stopped her. As Ric and Alexis reeled over Sam's outburst, a grim Monica told Jason that Sam might not survive the night.
Tuesday, February 21, 2006 Jax promised to "do the right thing" for Courtney's baby as long as he promised to "live for her." Nikolas asked Jax what Courtney had been trying to tell him as she died. Sam and Jason hovered over Danny and Monica told them that Alexis was a likely candidate for the dose, too. Meanwhile, Robert got a not-so-anonymous call from the extortionist: it was Holly with a voice distortion box. She wanted a million dollars per dose! Jax told Nikolas that he had Courtney's last words, "I love you," to hold on to and all Jax had was making things right for John. Sonny copped to being a lousy brother and assured dead Courtney, "When you left this earth, so many people loved you (and I was having sex with Emily)." Carly spoke to dead Courtney next, copping to being a lousy friend and promising that John would always have her to count on. Sonny then told Mike the news. "Get out! Courtney meant nothing to you!" Mike lashed out. "Don't pretend to grieve with me." Sonny left his father weeping while, in the chapel, Emily comforted Nikolas. Uncaring about HIV-positive Robin probably dying because of her sacrifice, Sam tried to guilt Alexis into denying the dose for Danny's sake. Then, Sonny shared the bad Courtney news with Jason (Robin may be chopped liver but Jason's ex-wife elicited tears.). Sam screamed, hysterically, that Alexis owed her and Jason spirited her to Danny's room. Carly put on a yellow gown (nice touch!) and visited preemie John. "I made a promise to his mother," she told Jax fiercely. The Sonny Bad News Train pulled into the chapel so Sonny could give Nikolas his condolences. Emily just sat there as Nik confirmed how much he'd loved the woman he cheated on her with. (Awkward!) Robert vowed to hold the extortionist culpable for Tony's death and then voiceboxed Holly called again, telling Robert to meet her at Pier 52 at 11 p.m. "Change your outfit," Robert told Luke. "Just like old times," robe-clad Luke beamed. Patrick injected Alexis, who confessed that she couldn't leave her kids. Sam grew more bitter over her brother's suffering. Danny remembered their parents bringing her home. "They picked you special," he told her, cryptically. "They chose you just for me." Say, what? In the chapel, Sonny remembered when he'd tried to keep Jason and Courtney apart. "All the fightin' in the world, all it did was get in the way of two people who wanted to love each other." He realized too late for them, but right on time for him and Emily, that nobody had the right to dictate who you love. Elsewhere, Nik sat by dead Courtney. "You changed my life," he told her. "You taught me how to live in the moment." He kissed her cold, blue-tinged forehead, whispering that he loved her.
