GH Recaps Week of March 27, 2006
Friday, March 31, 2006
Alcazar went to Sonny and said that even if Corinthos was behind the carnival shooting, he would not retaliate because he wants peace. Sonny insisted that he doesn't shoot children and wasn't responsible. Michael and Morgan arrived; Sonny was perturbed that Carly had dumped the kids on him without warning, especially since he was due to meet Emily for some afternoon delight.
Robin had a surgeon named Gwen arrive to perform Jesse's surgery, but Patrick refused the use of her services in order to do it himself, citing that despite the conflict of interest (for Noah's liver) that he hasn't lost a patient and he's Jesse's best chance at survival.
Mac asked Monica about Jesse's condition, saying that even though he didn't always agree with Jesse's methods, he's a damn good cop and a good man. Monica stated that he was in good hands with Patrick. Bobbie visited with comatose Noah, and Patrick told her there's still no donor. She asked to be kept posted. Patrick then told his father he's still determined to save his dying pop.
As Carly visited with baby John, Nikolas arrived. Carly reminded him he wasn't supposed to be there, but Nik asked her to break the rules and allow him to hold Courtney's son. Carly was sympathetic but didn't comply. Nik accused Carly of using John to work Jax, so Carly basically called him a sanctimonious idiot.
In the waiting area, Lucky told Maxie that he felt guilty for Jesse's shooting, saying he made a bad call. Maxie told him that it was nobody's fault. Lucky then informed Mac that there were no leads on the shooters identity. As Jesse was wheeled into surgery, Maxie tearfully told her man that she'd be waiting for him.
Monica went to see Jason and told him that Emily and Sonny were heading away together. She asked for reassurance that Em being with Sonny wasn't going to put her in danger. Jason said that he wants Em away from Sonny, too, and promised to "take care of the situation."
Sonny had his bodyguard Milo buy toys for the boys to keep them occupied, and asked Leticia to over for him in his absence. Sonny then snuck away. Meanwhile, Emily arrived at the hotel for her rendezvous and found the flowers and champagne Sonny had waiting for her. "Counting the minutes until I hold you again," the card read. Sonny then arrived and laid on a big passionate kiss on Em.
As Jesse underwent the knife, Lucky and Georgie waited with Maxie. Diego arrived, and needless to say, no one was glad to see him. Diego thanked Lucky for saving his life, then apologized for not going to the police sooner and told Lucky he'd do whatever possible to keep the people around him safe. Just then, Robin and Patrick arrived with the bad news — Jesse didn't make it. Maxie burst into tears, but then regained her composure.
Alcazar confronted Manny at the hospital regarding the shooting and nearly drown him with a bucket of soapy water. Skye stumbled on the scene and was horrified. He ordered her away and Manny broke free of his deadly grip. Manny reminded Lorenzo that he's got blackmail material on him. (Remember, Lorenzo switched Skye and Lulu's charts during the epidemic.) Alcazar ordered Manny to stay away from his family and stormed off.
Jason arrived at Sonny's and, seeing the mess the kids made, mistakenly believed Sonny was on a rampage. He demanded Sonny's location from Max, then headed off to find the lov-ahs. During their post-coital bliss, Sonny told Emily that he and Alcazar were determined to keep peace. Em was thrilled, and Sonny longed for the day when the wouldn't have to hide anymore.
In Noah's room, Alan informed Bobbie that Jesse died, but his liver is compatible with Noah's. Bobbie told Noah that he was going to make it. In the hall, Lucky overheard two medical personnel talking about the fact that Patrick lost a donor on the table.
Alcazar met Skye at Metro Court, where she suspected that Manny has something on Lorenzo. He didn't deny it. Saying he didn't want a relationship built on a lie, he came clean — that Manny wasn't a changed man after the brain operation. Then, he copped to switching the charts. Skye was speechless.... Carly told John that he allowed her to see a different side of Jax. Then, Michael called and said she needs to get over to the house and fast! When she left, Nikolas emerged and visited with the baby. Meanwhile, as Sonny and Emily cuddled, a man arrived at the hotel with his gun drawn.
Frantic Carly arrived at Sonny's and, seeing the mess, feared the worst. She was relieved when Michael admitted that it was his and Morgan's fault. He even offered her $7 to help pay for the damage. Carly hugged her boys and told them everything would be fine. At the hotel, the gun-toting man burst into Sonny's room and opened fire. It was an assassin! Jason showed up behind him and took him out.

P.C.'s carnival fun was marred when Manny's henchman, dressed as a clown, opened fire at Diego. Jesse was hit. Lucky managed to shoot the evil clown as he tried to make his escape. Maxie freaked out as Emily and Elizabeth jumped into action to revive Jesse. Lucky called for backup and kept Diego from fleeing the scene. Dillon told Maxie to calm down and pray, as she realized that Jesse had been shot in the head. Maxie thanked Liz for helping. Mac arrived and Maxie recounted the shooting. "The fireworks were louder than the gunshots," she noted. Maxie insisted on riding in the ambulance with her fallen beau. Liz left Cameron in Georgie and Dillon's care as Alcazar arrived on the scene. He told Mac that he believed Sonny and Jason were behind the attempt on Diego.
At the hospital, Alan refused to honor Patrick's request. Patrick wanted to use himself as a living donor for Noah, but Alan reminded him that the tests weren't complete yet. Patrick stated that they didn't have the luxury of time, and vowed not to let his father die. "You gave me the love for healing," Patrick told his comatose father. "You gave me my life. And you expect me to not save yours? I never lost a patient, and you're not going to be my first." Robin looked on with sympathetic eyes.
At Casa Corinthos, Sonny reminded Jason that he doesn't have to explain himself. "Do what you do best," Sonny huffed. "Take orders from me." Jason was surprised that Sonny believed Alcazar was sincere in his request for peace. Sonny then chastised Jason for not letting him know that Alcazar had come to Jason earlier with that request. Jason pointed out that Manny was their problem, not Alcazar's, but Sonny didn't see it that way. "Things are more dangerous than they've been in a long time," Jason reminded his boss. Then the PCPD showed up to question the men about the carnival shooting.
Sonny and Jason arrived at the carnival. Jason saw red when Sonny went over to check up on Emily. Mac questioned them. Sonny pointed out that Diego's a snitch and anyone could want him dead. Sonny agreed with Mac that neither of them want a mob war. Mac dismissed the men. Liz shared a moment with Jason in which she expressed her fear for Lucky's life.
Outside Kelly's, Alexis told Sam that "the stalking" has got to stop and asked Sam to leave the Lansings alone. She went inside, and Carly sided with Sam, then dropped the bomb to Sam that she knows Alexis is her mother. Sam denied Carly's accusation, but Carly confessed that she saw Sam's file on Alexis at the penthouse. Sam was furious and stormed off as Carly chased after her. Back at the penthouse, Carly explained that because of her own history with Bobbie, she understands Sam's dilemma. However, she warned Sam that going after Alexis could end her relationship with Jason. Carly predicted that if Sam gets close to her mother, Alexis will undermine her relationship with the hit man. Sam gave serious thought to Carly's words.
Jesse and the evil clown were brought to the E.R., where Robin advised Patrick that he shouldn't be the doctor to operate on Jesse. Robin said Jesse wasn't stable enough for surgery. Patrick went to Maxie to get permission, since Jesse has no next of kin. Maxie gave her consent, but Robin remained concerned. Prior to surgery, Maxie reminded Jesse that they still had to go to Chicago on their vacation. Monica informed Maxie that Jesse's condition was critical, and asked if Jesse was an organ donor. Maxie broke down in tears, then handed Jesse's donor card to Monica.
Despite the shooting, Diego still insisted to his father that he could take care of himself. Alcazar insisted that his son move back home... Jason told Sam about Jesse, and said that he's sure Manny was behind the attempt on Diego.... Jax showed up at Carly's place just as she arrived home. Carly questioned what's more important for a child — biology or love.... Sonny returned home to Emily. He was concerned about the danger factor for her, but she wasn't and kissed him.
In the hospital locker room, Robin informed Patrick that she knew Jesse would be a suitable liver donor for Noah, and that if the fallen cop didn't survive, it wouldn't look like an accident.... Maxie kept a vigil at Jesse's bedside.... While no one was looking, Manny offed his hit man.... Jax and Carly had a glass of wine and some "Cheesy Chips." They resumed the biology vs. love conversation. Not surprisingly, Jax took the "love" side of the argument.... Despite Sonny's protests, Em refused to break things off. They agreed to meet tomorrow night at a hotel.... Jason had a dream that after catching Sonny and Emily together, he shot Sonny in cold blood.

At the penthouse, Carly was anxious to let Jason know that she's now aware of Sam and Alexis's secret. Jason chastised her for being so nosy, but Carly was surprisingly sympathetic and warned Jason that at some point, Sam will want to know her mother. Citing her own experience with Bobbie, Carly pointed out to Jason that Sam is determined to make Alexis pay for abandoning her. Jason feared she was right. After Carly left, Jason pulled out a high-powered rifle. He put it away just as Emily showed up. When she lied to him about her whereabouts the night before, Jason walked away from his sister.
Alcazar arrived at Sonny's house, stating that he wants to make peace, attributing his change of heart to Skye and the baby. However, he inadvertently irked Sonny when he asked if Jason was making Corinthos's decisions now. "Whatever happens, I order it," sneered Sonny. "Having a family can be a fatal mistake for men like us," Alcazar warned. "Or, it can be our salvation." "I will protect my own," Sonny shot (not literally) back.
Noah asked Nurse Epiphany for morphine, and instructed Patrick that he has requested to be on the "No donor" list. Robin then asked Patrick when he was going to let Noah know that Dr. Drake, Jr., deceived Dr. Drake, Sr., and actually put him on the "Donor" list against his wishes. Robin acknowledged Patrick's duplicity was wrong, but she empathized. "Find a way to get through to him," she advised. Later, Patrick confessed to Noah what he did. Noah was furious! "To hell with you, Patrick," he shouted. When Noah slipped into a coma, Patrick mentioned aloud that he's really glad Noah agreed to be put on the donor list — and Robin concurred.
At the hospital, Elizabeth suggested that she and Lucky head to the carnival for a night of fun. Unbeknownst to them, the lurking-nearby Manny passed a gun to his goon. When Liz noticed Lucky was keeping an eye on Manny, Spencer claimed that he wanted to not only protect his family, but to land a promotion to bring in more money. She beseeched him to be careful.
At Kelly's, Georgie came clean to Dillon about the near-miss hit-and-run. Surprise! Dillon was furious. He dragged her into the kitchen and read her the riot act. "What is going on with you?" he demanded to know. "Why did you lie to my face?" Georgie apologized profusely and swore she'd stay away from Diego from now on. Outside, Jesse met Maxie and they confirmed their plans for the carnival, although he knew that part of the reason she wanted to go was to keep an eye on Georgie.
At the carnival, Ric caught Sam spying on Alexis and Kristina and called her on her continual surveillance. They argued. Ric threatened to slap Sam with a restraining order if she doesn't keep her distance. As Maxie and Jesse planned to take a trip together in June, Georgie arrived, sans Dillon, and bumped into, guess who? Diego. The two kids caught the eyes of a sinister clown. Maxie walked over and Diego walked away. Dillon arrived and found Maxie and Georgie arguing. When he asked them about what, Georgie was honest and said Diego.
Carly showed up at Sonny's, unable to resist rubbing it in his face about sleeping with a mother and daughter.... Ric and Alexis went to Kelly's after the carnival.... Lucky ruined Maxie and Jesse's pleasant evening with news that he believed Manny was in the park.... Emily confessed to Liz that she saw Jason assembling a rifle. Liz revealed that she had spoken to Jason about Manny and Alcazar's connection. Em came clean about her and Sonny being together. Liz said they'd better tell Jason. Emily admitted that for the first time, she's afraid of her brother.
Jason went to Sonny's and mentioned that there's a problem Corinthos has avoided for long enough. Sonny was miffed that Jason hadn't mentioned Alcazar's previous visit. Jason countered that Sonny was "unreachable" yet again. Jason then said he's not buying Alcazar's story, and it's time to take out Lorenzo and Manny. Sonny said he doesn't want a war. The men argued.
Gunfire erupted at the carnival as the evil clown took aim at Diego.

Tracy ordered a hungover Luke to, "Get off my boat!" Since she paid his back taxes, she now owned the Haunted Star, she insisted. Luke insisted "Spanky Buns" wouldn't be able to get rid of him that easily. Meanwhile, a frantic Lulu asked Nikolas to, "Save my dad!" after overhearing Tracy talking about Luke's financial problems. Without The Haunted Star, Lulu fretted her dad would have no reason to stay in Port Charles. Nik visited Luke and offered to invest big bucks in the Haunted Star, but Spencer refused. After Nikolas exited, Lulu arrived and was upset to hear that Luke turned down Nik's generous offer. When Tracy arrived with creditors, Luke pulled a gun and sent them away. Then, he gave Lulu the weapon to stand guard, but she accidentally fired it and he realized she wouldn't make that great a guard after all.
Lucky told Elizabeth he was determined to prove that Manny is faking his condition. She wanted her husband to promise that he wouldn't do so alone but he couldn't. After Lucky left, Liz visited Jason and tipped him off that Manny and Alcazar were in cahoots. She was hoping that with this information, Jason would be able to "keep Lucky safe."
Alexis excitedly told Ric that she wanted to open their new law offices in Jax's hotel. "Not in this lifetime," Carly announced. "I despise you both and I don't want you as tenants." Ric tried to change her mind but Carly was adamant. Alexis then asked Jax to choose between her and Carly. Jax reluctantly sided with his business partner, Carly. "I don't like being backed in a corner," he later barked to his new lovah. She offered to take him to dinner to make up for the confrontation.
Sam admitted to Jason that she wanted to know why Alexis gave her up.... Skye was creeped out when Manny showed up to see Alcazar. He told her not to worry. She left. Alcazar told Manny he wants a truce between them and Sonny.... At Kelly's, Georgie told Diego that they couldn't be friends. Jesse and Lucky arrived and quizzed Diego on the hit and run accident. Diego insisted that Georgie be kept out of his problems, and Maxie was resentful that he got her sister involved in the first place. Later, Diego told his father about the hit-and-run incident and that he was going to file a police report. Alcazar was concerned it could be one of his associates behind the goings on. (Maybe, uh, Manny?) He vowed to create a safe life for his son, Skye and the baby.
Jason showed up at Sonny's, demanding to see him. Max claimed he didn't know where Sonny was. Then Alcazar showed up, with a business matter to discuss. Lorenzo confessed to Jason that he gave Manny a key to his ankle bracelet, explaining that becoming a new father has changed him. Alcazar promised not to make any kind of move against the Corinthos camp and called for a truce. However, at the hospital, Manny slipped a weapon to his henchman.
At Wyndemere, Luke met Alfred, Nikolas's new butler. (Mrs. Lansbury apparently took an extended leave of absence.) Luke told Nik he didn't like him much, but if his offer still stood, he'd like to take him up on it. Nik agreed to a 50/50 split, with his half going into a trust for Lulu. Luke agreed.
At Kelly's, Jesse suggested taking Maxie to the carnival tomorrow night to get her mind off Georgie's problems. Sam showed up to pick up one of her law books which she had left behind. Guess whose biological mother showed up? Meanwhile, Carly went to the penthouse, where she discovered Sam's file on Alexis. "Oh. My. God!" gasped Carly.

Outside of Sonny's house, Jason spied Sonny and Emily kissing on the couch, proving his suspicions that his boss and his sister have been lying to him about their relationship. Sonny then took Emily by the hand and led her upstairs.
At the Haunted Star re-opening, Tracy's spat with Skye ended in a fall for the pregnant redhead. Lorenzo fumed at Tracy, vowing he'd do whatever it takes to protect his woman and his baby. Dr. Lee told Skye that she appeared to be okay, but advised a checkup just to be sure. Luke expressed his concern for Skye and the baby, but she replied it was unnecessary — she has Lorenzo now. Luke then asked Tracy if she pushed Skye on purpose. She angrily stated that the fall was an accident, and pointed out that Skye doesn't need or want Luke's concern anymore. Tracy then reminded Luke that if he doesn't pay his $50,000 bill for the casino, she'll foreclose. Luke then headed toward Alexis and asked for legal advice about dealing with Tracy. Alexis told Luke that he's got no case against Tracy regarding his money woes. Luke was crestfallen when Lucky hit it big at the gambling tables. Lucky tried the give back the money to his financially strapped father, but Luke refused.
At the hospital, Lorenzo was relieved when Skye got a clean bill of health. Skye also took responsibility for egging on Tracy, then assured Lorenzo that Luke is out of the picture for good. He asked Skye to move in with him, but she declined.
Jax and Carly hit the couch for some lovin'. "Don't you dare ask me if I'm sure," Carly gasped in the heat of passion. Then, they took a tumble onto the floor. After a great round of off-screen sex (they eventually made it to the bed), Carly confessed that she'd always wondered about making love with Jax, but put those thoughts out of her head once he and Courtney got involved. During their post-coital pillow talk, Carly and Jax pointed out their similarities and differences. Afterward, Carly got dressed and planned to pick up the boys. She warned Jax that her kids can't know about them — at least not yet. She thanked him for a good time, stated that she's not interested in a relationship but they can still have sex, then left.
At the penthouse, Sam blasted Ric about, what else? Alexis. Ric suspected there was something more behind Sam's intense hatred of Alexis. (We'll say!) Ric realized he was getting nowhere fast, especially after Sam accused Ric of being angry that Sonny was taking her side. As she grabbed him, Jason entered, threw Ric to the floor, and punched him in the face repeatedly. Sam broke up the scuffle, and Jason threw Ric out of the penthouse. Sam tried to explain that she instigated the fight, but he didn't care. Sam realized Jason was upset about something else, and he spilled that he caught Sonny and Emily together. "From here on out, I owe him nothing," declared Jason of the betrayal.
Robin accused Noah of acting like a five-year-old, and told Patrick he's playing into his father's hands. "Stop sulking like a disappointed son and start acting like a doctor," she barked. Noah refused to take any pain medication as his condition deteriorated. Patrick told his father that if Noah remains determined to die a slow, agonizing death, he wasn't going to stand in his pop's way. Robin reminded Patrick of his little-seen-but-she-knows-it's-there-beneath-the-surface compassion when he tried to leave the hospital. Patrick then delivered a lethal dose of medication to his father, telling him that he can put himself out of his misery. Noah threw the medication against the wall as Patrick walked out. At the nurses station, Robin told Patrick his method was unorthodox, but she believes he may have gotten through to Noah.
In bed, Sonny and Emily had their own pillow talk, and Sonny asked Em to spend the night. "Sleeping in your arms sounds like heaven to me," Em cooed. Their bliss was interrupted by the arrival of an angry, bruised Ric. Moments later, Ric vented about Jason and told Sonny that he needs to get his enforcer under control. Emily eavesdropped from upstairs. Sonny offered his brother a drink and advised Ric to stay away from Jason and Sam. Sonny told Ric he'd take care of Jason. He showed Ric out, and Em came downstairs. She told Sonny that, for the first time, she's afraid of what Jason may do.
Later in the evening, Luke still came up short of the $50,000 he owed Tracy. Nikolas put 30 grand down on the roulette wheel. Nik lost his bet and saved the casino, infuriating Tracy. Luke was ecstatic.... At the hospital, Jax visited with John and shared his thoughts about Carly with the baby. He credited John with seeing her in a whole new light. "I like Carly," Jax declared.... Carly returned home, and Morgan came bounding down the steps to give his mommy a hug.... Jason had a nightmare about Sonny attacking Emily, and in the dream, Jason aimed a gun at his boss. He woke up before pulling the trigger.
