GH Recaps Week of April 3, 2006

Friday, April 7, 2006
At Kelly's, Lorenzo tried to woo Skye away to the Metro Court. At GH, mopping Manny made nice with Liz and scored a knife from an amigo. His scheming halted when angry Lucky kicked his bucket (seriously!). In the lounge, Alexis asked Lainey about Sam and Jason's possibly abusive relationship (without naming names). Sam put flowers on Danny and her baby's graves, conflicted about telling Alexis about their designer genes. Jason learned Sonny was at the Quartermaines'. Dillon tried to cut tension there by citing The Godfather and Goodfellas as guidelines (how about Lolita?) and then Emily entered the fray. Lucky threatened Manny, "I can harass you as much as I want," but Liz talked him down. Lorenzo wanted Skye out of Kelly's since Manny lived upstairs, so she invited him to take her to GH for her check-up. Lulu snuck back in to cheerlead Sonny and Emily while the rest of the family hoped Em would cave. She didn't. Ned gently asked if Sonny was worth "dodging bullets." Yep. Alan grimly told Emily she was no longer welcome in the house. Jason informed Max that when Sonny returned, he wanted to meet him alone. "You might want to rethink that," Carly warned from behind him.

Skye and Lorenzo came to GH, giddy about impending parenthood, and then Lorenzo and Liz heard Epiphany kvetching about the tattooed janitor disappearing. Robin made Patrick get back in bed (alone), reminding him that he needed to conserve his energy to face Noah. "Don't make me restrain you!" "I'd love to see you try!" Monica cleared the foyer so she and Alan could talk to Emily alone. "I don't care about Emily and Sonny. I care about you," Carly told Jason. "If you don't stop, you could get hurt." On the pier, an ugly-sweatered Nikolas and Maxie discussed her grief over Jesse. Alan, irked that Sonny was ruining yet another one of his kids, stalked off and Monica tried a different approach. "What about Jason? Are you going to go against him, too?" Yep. Sonny and Emily left together. Carly pleaded with Jason to count to 10 before he did something rash, like he always told her to. "I choose you," Emily assured Sonny. "The worst is over." Jason loved them and would eventually want their happiness. (That's what you think!) Sam talked to dead people about Jason, Sonny, Emily and Alexis and then talked to a live person: Father Coates. At GH, Ric found Alexis distracted by domestic violence pamphlets. (Put down the pillow, Ric!) No, no, they were because of Sam!

In Manny's room, gun-toting Lorenzo burst in on Jason and they went all Reservoir Dogs on each other. "Put it down." "You first." Lucky joined in! But there was still no Manny. Maxie feared she'd lose it at a formal police funeral. "There's no time limit on how long you can grieve," Nikolas advised (He'd grieved Courtney for a few weeks and change!). Noah awoke groggy and confused Bobbie for his wife. Robin returned to a bummed Patrick with a Noah update instead of handcuffs. Patrick said he owed Noah the truth about the transplant. Carly blasted Sonny and Emily for hurting the boys and Jason and suggested they flee to the island before Jason returned and did something (like kill them, not like "redecorate the living room"). Sonny tried to boot his ex. Fine, Carly would leave...but she'd take Emily with her. "How could I ever forgive a woman who didn't care enough to keep me?" Sam asked. "You can start by thanking her," Father Coates replied. Back at GH, Alexis told Ric she felt compelled to help Sam. Nearby, Manny was appearing and disappearing and a freaked Liz called Lucky. Carly threatened to drag Emily out by her hair. Valuing her locks, Em kissed Sonny and left. Alert, Noah demanded to know whose liver he'd gotten. "Mine," said Patrick as Robin wheeled him in. Since Coates' words resonated, Sam considered telling Alexis the truth...and Alexis arrived with flowers. Carly directed Max to take her and Emily to the "middle of nowhere" as Jason found Sonny waiting for him with a gun. "You think you're gonna need that?" "It's up to you." At GH, Liz spied Manny stalking Skye. She sprang, hitting him from behind. He snagged the petite nurse, holding her at knifepoint as Lucky rushed off the elevator and drew his gun.

It was "Let's read the Port Charles Herald Day." Alfred the butler gave a copy to Nikolas, while Alice tried to hide it from the Quartermaines (especially Emily). Durant slapped a copy down for Jason's reading pleasure. Jax hid it from Carly's boys and offered them a trip to Disney World instead of school. And poor Max tried to hide it from Sonny. Why? Because the sordid details of Sonny and Emily's Cosmopolitan tryst were on the front page. At GH, Robin — not reading the paper — was sleeping on Patrick and he grinned at her concern. Carly was amused to see how Jax would handle her sons without her. Sonny threw a fit at Max's security measures against the press because Em could be trying to call. Then, Mike came over with something: Brenda's phone number. Durant put his deal to nail Sonny back on the table and Jason sharply turned him down. As Sam slipped in for a visit, Durant offered Alexis a gig as assistant district attorney. On Jax's jet, Michael gave Jax sound advice about precocious Morgan and then asked, "Are you trying to make a love nest with my mom?" Back at the Qs, Tracy was particularly crabby (not just because Ned reminded her that she, too, liked gangsters). Luke wondered why his "little Komodo dragon" was breathing fire. "Today is Tracy's birthday!" Alan realized.

In the Q foyer, Elizabeth comforted Emily. Mike advised a resistant Sonny to call Brenda for a reality check. "When something happens to Emily, you're going to regret it for the rest of your life," he warned. Ric arrived — not to lecture but to offer Sonny help. Alexis told Durant "No, thanks," on the job as Jason snapped at Sam. Back at GH, Robin and Epiphany gave Patrick a cold sponge bath, chilling the lusty boy's ardor. Tracy forbade talk about her birthday as Carly dropped by to blast Emily for "hurting two innocent little children." In the air, Jax and Michael made friends. "You're not so bad after all," Michael admitted, giving the Aussie his hand. At Kelly's, Sam returned Mom's glasses and Alexis cautioned her about Jason and domestic violence. At Greystone, Ric not only offered legal help but compared Sonny and Emily to him and Elizabeth. His ex, meanwhile, showed up to visit Jason. "You're afraid for Emily. That's why you're handling this so poorly," Liz surmised. Lulu stole Tracy's driver's license to learn her real age. "My wife is 39!" Luke laughed. Nearby, Emily got belligerent with Carly, saying that "everyone is just gonna have to deal with" her and Sonny. Elizabeth had really great hair while she and Jason discussed Em and then Durant informed Jason he was sprung.

Sam assured Alexis that Jason would never abuse her. Any progress they'd made fell by the wayside as she told Mom to butt out of her life. Ric continued his cautionary tale, telling his bro "Best of luck to you." When Max entered, Sonny said he was going to the Qs'! (So he'll need that luck.) At Wyndemere, Nikolas asked Alexis to start her own legal proceedings against the media. Jason came home to Sam, apologizing for being out of line and scaring her. At GH, Carly asked Liz (cute hair tamed) to talk sense into Emily. Liz suggested she try that with Jason. Luke surprised a speechless Tracy with a birthday cake and family holding presents. Naturally, that's exactly when Sonny rang the doorbell. Robin waved some incriminating sponge bath Polaroids at Patrick but their flirting was curtailed by Epiphany's news that Noah is awake. Jax, wearing a fetching Sorcerer's Apprentice hat, brought the kids home from Disney World laden with presents. He thanked Carly for letting him have a great day. "You're pretty great yourself," Carly beamed. Alexis wondered if Nikolas wanted more than Emily's safety. Sam and Jason exchanged "I love you"s and kisses but, once alone, Jason retrieved his gun and loaded it. The Quartermaines raged at Sonny, with Lulu voicing the only support for him and Emily. "Lulu is going to be his next conquest," Tracy warned. "Good point." Luke guided Lulu out as Emily entered. Sonny told Em's family that he would continue to see her — "And I would appreciate it if you didn't try to stop me."

Lorenzo and Skye wondered who told Luke about the chart-swap and got him all murderous. At the casino, Lulu found Luke playing with his gun and hitting the bottle. "Bad day at the office?" Yeah. He'd almost killed a man "because he almost killed you." At the courthouse, Alexis and Sam randomly found themselves locked in a room together. Not so randomly, Emily came to the PCPD to confront a cranky Jason. Luke knocked back the shots as he told Lulu about the chart swap, who took it way better than he had. Skye and Lorenzo pegged Manny as the birdie who whistled in Luke's ear and engineered the shooting in the park. Lorenzo wondered if Skye wanted him to stay away from their child. Alexis and Sam tried to make nice. "I wasn't stalking you (this time)," Sam assured. "You dismissed me like I was a stranger," Emily told a blankly staring Jason. "You're the one who hurt me like I never thought you could." "It's because I do love you that I can't watch what is gonna happen," Jason said, finally.

Luke boggled when Lu wanted him to thank Alcazar because her near-death had brought them closer while Skye wished she and Lorenzo had met before they both turned into walking disasters. Liz handed Lucky a "to-do" list of chores and suggested they update his resume. Her perky attitude annoyed him and he accused her of using reverse psychology to get him back on the force. Nope — she was happy he was no longer in danger. The ensuing argument made Cameron cry. Jason asked Emily to remember this night. "Remember all of it," he implored. "Because it will happen again." Alexis delicately brought up the subject of Jason and Sam's fight. "You're an adult, act like one. Make another choice," she suggested. "You can get out. Kristina can't." Prickling, Sam wondered, "Do you ever give a thought to your other daughter?"

Lorenzo promised Skye that she and the baby's well-being were his first priorities but she remained doubtful. "What about Manny?" "I'm always gonna love you," Luke assured Lulu. But perhaps it was time to teach her "the facts of life?" (The recapper hums, "You take the good, you take the bad...") "You're gonna lose yourself piece by piece," Jason told Emily. "The way you love is gonna be the way he'll destroy you," he said of Sonny. Sam called Alexis on her non-mentioning of Molly and the needling led Alexis to offer some "painful honesty": "There was another daughter, in another lifetime." After quieting Cameron off-screen, Liz made up with angsty Lucky. Emily yelled at Jason, sick of being treated like she lived in an ivory tower. Emily didn't get it: Once she turned into the woman who could live with Sonny, "you won't be the woman he wants." (Just ask Carly!)

"We live ugly lives," Jason warned a naive Emily, speaking from experience. Emily dismissed her big bro, saying he was "stuck in place." Alexis opened up about her teen pregnancy, about writing her daughter letters, about Mikkos controlling her, and even mentioned that time constraints had prevented her from searching when Kristina needed bone marrow (nice save!). "Rightly or wrongly, I let go." So, was she was looking for the girl? No, not anymore. "She's dead." Lulu called "Too Much Information!" at Luke's life lessons...in poker. She showed him a full house and raked in the chips. "Are you gonna give him up?" Jason asked Emily, hoping he'd gotten through to her. "No." Jason called for the guard and said, tersely, "I'm done here." A shocked Sam asked Alexis, "What if you were wrong? What if your daughter were alive, what would you do?" "I would tell her that I'm sorry." A guard unlocked the room and destroyed The Moment. Before Alexis departed, she hoped, "Maybe loss is more of a common ground than you originally thought?" Left alone, Sam softly tried out the word "Mom."

Carly blasted Jax for testing her where "family business was concerned," while at GH, Epiphany reminded Patrick and Robin that he couldn't donate his liver without a psych evaluation signed by Lainey. At The Haunted Star, Luke realized Manny wanted him to off Alcazar. Meanwhile, Lucky angsted about Jesse, feeling unfit to wear his badge. Nearby, Sonny asked Nikolas to walk Emily home from the station. Back at Carly's, Jax cited "self-preservation" in matters involving Sonny. He and Carly had a fight and she huffed that she'd just "use Patrick Drake instead." Patrick Drake, himself, tried to forge a signature on the psych forms. "Don't do that," Robin cautioned. When Luke questioned his motives, a smug Manny revealed his ace in the chart-swapping hole: Elizabeth. Alan and Monica came home from a tough day at GH to the oh-so wonderful news of Emily's affair with Sonny. Tracy crowed. Alan and Monica did not. At the station, Sonny reassured Em that everything would be okay (i.e. that Jason couldn't kill him in public) and shooed her home. "You want to hit me, go ahead," he urged Jason in the interrogation room.

Lucky tendered his resignation to Mac, "effective immediately." Nearby, Jason and Sonny scowled at each other but Durant's enjoyment was cut short as Sonny stalked out. "Maybe he should learn to be nicer to his sister," Sonny snapped at Sam, leaving Jason jailed. The horrified Qs watched the news footage and picked apart the "salacious details" of the Sonny-Emily debacle. Alice arranged for Emily to sneak upstairs but Nikolas wanted to handle things head on. Jax actually approved of Patrick as a choice — if Carly could walk away from him. "I am the best time you've had in years," he reminded, kissing her. "You're a hell of a lot of fun and now you have to go," she said, booting him out because of the kids. Thrifty Robin forged the signature for Patrick and they handed the form back over to a skeptical Epiphany. "My father's losing ground every minute we waste," Patrick reminded, fiercely.

Luke visited Liz to confirm the chart switch, who confessed to her father-in-law with her eyes. "Don't do anything stupid," she pleaded. As Patrick was prepped, he accused an observing Robin of wanting to see him shirtless and "taking advantage of me in my weakened state." "Now that you mention it..." She kissed him sweetly before they knocked him out. The Qs got their fight on with Em and Nikolas. "Her perp walk needs work," Carly noted of Emily's "TV debut," when Sonny dropped by. She told her ex that the boys had seen him and Auntie Em. D'oh! Durant recapped Sonny's dirty dealings to Jason but Jason refused to make a deal. Sam interrupted but Durant's words did take root. Mac refused to accept Lucky's resignation, asking him to take some time. Lucky still put down his shield and walked away. Sam told Jason that Sonny and Em's predicament was sort of his fault. The Qs hoped Nikolas could get through to Em, since he still loves her. (Courtney who?) In the OR, they removed part of Patrick's liver for Noah, but then Patrick's pressure began to drop. Robin sprang into action, delivering orders with military precision and saving her favorite doc.

Nikolas actually sided with his ex and told the Quartermaines to back off. "Who are you, Stefan arisen from the dead?" Alan boggled. "I covered for your butt!" Carly told Sonny, who apologized for assuming she hadn't. "What's a love nest?" a curious Michael asked him. At the PCPD, Jason railed at Sam about Sonny and Emily so she asked Justus to leave Jason in lock up to "cool off." A gun-toting Luke confronted Lorenzo and Skye interrupted, pleading for Luke to let this slide for her sake. After Luke warily conceded, Skye assured Lorenzo she'd defended him only for their baby. "I quit the force," angsty Lucky told Liz, who said, "Good!" Angsty Nikolas left Emily saying, "Just be happy, okay?" Sonny explained the short version of the Cosmopolitan fiasco to Michael but left out the "love nest" definition. Back at the PCPD, Alexis tried to talk shop to a distracted Durant and wound up watching the tail end of Sam and Jason fighting, where Jason kicked a chair and then kicked out Sam. "I love you," Sam whispered, leaving her lover to stew in jail.

After offing the assassin who interrupted Sonny and Emily's tryst, Jason snapped at Emily for tainting the crime scene. "You're going to protect her now?" he asked when Sonny bristled. Luke caught Lulu pilfering from his safe. She wondered why he wasn't grateful for Nikolas' help. At the Metro Court, Skye reeled from Lorenzo's confession that he'd switched her and Lulu's charts. Jax dropped by to see Carly and Michael scowled. Carly was havin' none of that and chided her rude son. Det. Rodriguez arrived at the Cosmopolitan and eyed "Mr. and Mrs. Smith." ("Funny, you don't look like Zander!") At GH, Lucky accused Patrick of botching Jesse's surgery. Robin jumped to Patrick's defense. A call about the Cosmopolitan shooting ended the stand-off. Luke and Lulu discussed Nikolas (and by "discussed" I mean "fought about"). Lorenzo wanted to "move beyond" the chart-switching — which wouldn't happen if Skye told Luke. "I'm learning not to rush to judgment about you," Robin admitted as Patrick learned that Noah would receive Jesse's liver. Michael begrudgingly apologized to Jax, who offered Carly a raincheck on dinner plans. "Are you brave enough to make it through a meal with me and the boys?" Carly teased the thrill-seeker. Lucky and tag-a-long Nikolas arrived at the Cosmo, horrified by the shooting and that Sonny and Em were half-dressed when it happened. Rodriguez read Jason his rights and then insisted on shuffling everybody out the hotel's front doors.

"I'm not letting you die...because I love you and I'm proud to be your son," Patrick whispered, kissing Noah's forehead as Robin watched from the doorway. Manny eavesmopped on the teens discussing the shooting and then got an update from his henchman. Diego called his "pop" for some answers. Luke explained the Cassadine feud to Lulu, describing the "nest of vipers." Skye walked in on Luke suggesting Lulu move back to Lesley's. Carly tried to position Jax as "the friendly uncle next door" while the boys watched cartoons. Then, a news bulletin featuring their dad and their babysitter exiting their "love nest!" came on. "Is Emily Dad's girlfriend now?" Michael wondered. Lulu asked Luke to give Nikolas a chance, and Luke told her she needed to understand their "bloody history." They agreed to disagree. Skye marveled at her progress with Alcazar and fled without telling Luke about the charts. At the PCPD, Durant kicked out Nikolas with a terse, "I don't recall deputizing you." An entirely too amused Rodriguez gave Durant the case rundown. Durant booted Sonny into the interrogation room with an angry Jason while he asked Emily for the dirty details. "We were making love," she admitted under Durant-al duress. Sonny claimed to know what Jason was thinking, rattling things off. Jason just stared. Robin comforted Patrick, who spoke about waiting during his mom's surgery and how his father had walked out of the OR and into a bar and never stopped drinking. "Are you saying you'd be sorry if you lost me?" Patrick wondered as she smiled at him gently.

Carly assured Michael that the news was just making things up. "Reporters are stupid," a relieved Michael told Morgan (Recapper's note: Gee, thanks, Michael!). Jason kept staring and then Lucky lashed out at Sonny. Nikolas pointed out to Lucky that Sonny was a criminal but "also a father," who wouldn't send a shooter to the park. Epiphany informed Robin and Patrick that "Detective Beaudry's liver wasn't viable." "We have to perform living donor surgery tonight," said Patrick. At the Metro Court, Diego asked Lorenzo if he'd ordered the hit on Sonny. He believed Pop immediately...unlike Skye, who Lorenzo was afraid he'd lose. Manny visited Luke with interesting information, "free of charge." He related his status as a GH eavesmopper and then giddily spilled the chart-swap secret. Jax was impressed by Carly's ability to "spin the unspinnable." He was glad to hear her write off Sonny because, "if you'd gone, it would so be over between us." "Was this some kind of a test?" she boggled. "It makes you weak," Durant observed of Sonny's misfortune. "You literally got caught with your pants down!" he beamed. Nearby, Elizabeth heard a guilty Lucky tell Nikolas, "It might as well have been me who pulled that trigger." "Just go home now!" Jason snarled at Emily cutting off her apologies. She cried as she stood between her brother and her lover.
