GH Recaps Week of May 22, 2006
Friday, May 26, 2006
At Metro Court, Nikolas was suspicious when Jax invited him to John's christening. Nik wanted to know why Jax seemed threatened by the idea of him being around the child. Jax said that Nikolas's deranged grandmother, Helena, is the reason.
In protective-pop mode, Robert knocked on Patrick's door and demanded he open it so they could discuss Robin. Scorpio was greeted by his scantily-clad daughter and shirtless Dr. Drake. Awkward! Scorpio came in and shared a friendly chat about his spy past with Patrick, which just irked Robin. Once alone, she asked her dad why he was trying to ruin her life. Much to her bewilderment, he suggested they have a talk about sex and love. Robert wanted to know why she isn't in a relationship.
At GH, Maxie phoned Robin and left a message asking if she'd told Nikolas the truth about John's paternity yet. Lucky limped up on his cane and she observed that he was in a lot of pain. After, he told her that he can't refill his painkillers for another week. When he tossed the empty pill bottle in the trash, Maxie secretly retrieved it. She surprised Lucky with a double-dose of the drugs, which she'd illegally obtained. Lucky the cop weakly made noises about it being against the law. "This is a one-time thing," he warned, basically letting her off with a warning. She promised not to do it again and they hugged.
Carly urged Jason to return to Sam so he could be happy. He said he'd be happy when she was safe, which Carly didn't buy. In the meantime, Kelly reported to Alexis that Sam is recovering nicely. Alexis invited her daughter to move in with her and Ric in their new home. She then rushed from the room and tried to actually buy a new home.... Emily visited Sam and reported that Jason still insisted that they be apart. Nik dropped by to visit the patient, too. He entertained her with stories about her new family: the lethal Cassadine clan.... Afterward, Ric responded to Alexis's urgent summons and was shocked when she presented him with papers for the purchase of a house she'd seen on a virtual Internet tour. When Alexis explained she was doing it for Sam, he signed.
During Juan Escobar's meeting at his restaurant, Sonny charged in and smashed a bottle over his head. After making sure nobody harmed Sonny, Jason made a beeline for Max and chided him for letting Corinthos run around unarmed and unescorted. After Jason questioned Sonny about his rash actions, the mobster explained that he no longer has to think things through. Jason ordered him not to get himself hurt.
Carly was thrilled when Jax surprised Michael and Morgan with a boat and promised to teach them to sail. Morgan got too close to the water, so they rushed to him. While they were distracted, Helena slithered up and peered into John's baby carriage. At the hospital, Nikolas learned his grandma was on the loose and warned Emily. Back on the docks, Jax ordered Helena to get away from his baby. Carly fumed when Helena talked about how dangerous open water can be for children, a veiled threat against Michael and Morgan.

At the hospital, Sam lamented to Emily about how she missed Jason. She explained how Jason dumped her in order to protect her. "I love your brother and I can't stand what's happening between us," Sam sighed as she asked Emily to talk to Jason on her behalf. Em said she wanted to help, but she was afraid she'd do more harm than good.
Elizabeth visited Jason at the penthouse to tell him that Sam is on the mend and having the surgery saved her life. Liz then mentioned that she knew he was the one who paid Lucky's hospital bills, their rent and Cameron's daycare. Jason claimed he was just thanking her for her help with Sam's case. Liz thanked him, then left. Stan dropped by and Jason assured him that, despite Epiphany's wishes, he wasn't going to fire him. Then, Diego showed up to extend a dinner invitation from Escobar. Diego then warned Jason about Escobar's plans and asked for a job within Jason's organization. J kicked him out.
Luke was crestfallen to realize that Edward was serious about having Scorpio move into the Q mansion. Scorpio, on the other hand, was elated.
At Metro Court, Alexis misinterpreted a conversation with Jax and happily accepted the post of being John's godmother. Carly was upset not because of the misunderstanding — she advised Jax to keep any and all of the Cassadines away from John just in case anyone should guess their secret. Carly then clarified that she was going to be John's godmother. Alexis just smiled and said she wouldn't miss the christening for the world. Across the room, Nikolas told Robin he's glad that John's not his son, since neither of them would have a moment of peace with Helena hovering over them. Patrick arrived and invited Robin downstairs.
At Kelly's, Georgie and Dillon were relieved that they both agreed they were too young to be married. They admitted they still loved each other and planned to still date after their split. After another squabble ensued about Diego, and Dillon insisted to his bride that he doesn't have a thing for Lulu. Georgie said they both need their freedom and maybe they shouldn't be exclusive. He called his wife on using that as an excuse to be with Diego. Georgie burst into tears as Dillon stormed off. When she called out for him, he stopped. They both apologized and kissed. They then headed to the Quartermaines, where they announced their plans for an annulment, prompting Lulu to smile.
In a hotel room, Patrick gave Robin a rose and they kissed, then fell onto the bed. Robin hesitated, recalling how Anna had remarked that she is attracted to Patrick because he reminds her of her father. Patrick was less than thrilled with the comparison, but Robin changed the subjected back to carnal matters. They kissed again, but were interrupted by Robert pounding at the door, demanding to discuss Drake's intentions with his daughter.
A desperate Sam called Carly to asked for her assistance with Jason as Alexis eavesdropped on their conversation. Carly didn't make any promises, but said she'd see what she could do. Afterward, Alexis asked Carly to help her keep Jason away from Sam.... Jax invited Nikolas to John's christening.... Emily went to visit Jason and refused to be dismissed. Jason told Em that he desperately misses Sam but it's for her own good. Just then, the glass door splintered as a gunshot pierced the room.

Sam called Jason and begged him to speak to her. Jason told her not to phone him again and hung up. Alexis tried to comfort Sam. "I don't know who I am without Jason," Sam lamented. "That's what we're going to figure out," reassured her momma. Jason stopped by the hospital and got an update on Sam's condition from Epiphany, who then asked Jason to fire her son, Stan. To Epiphany's dismay, Jason said that Stan's choice of profession was just that – his choice. In her room, Alexis got Sam to open up about her life. Just then, Rodriguez entered and informed Alexis that the bullet used to shoot Sam matched the one that killed Durant. "Durant's dead and you're the D.A.?" Sam queried. Alexis explained what happened while she was asleep, and Sam pointed out that if she prosecutes Jason, it could put a damper on their mother/daughter bonding. Ric entered, and he and Sam decided to call a truce, for Alexis's sake. In the waiting area, Alexis broke the news to Kristina that Sam is her big sister. Kristina was thrilled.
Alice gave Luke a big hug upon his return to the Quartermaine mansion, much to Edward, Alan and Monica's chagrin. Skye wanted to hear none of it and left to see Lorenzo. On her way out, she ran into a black-eyed Dillon and realized Georgie's prom didn't go as planned. Dillon intended on moving home.
Jax was surprised to learn Carly and his mother were arranging John's christening. Jax chose Mike as the baby's godfather, and he gave Carly a hard time about selecting Robin or Skye as godmother. Once he got her riled up, he then asked Carly to be his sons' godmother (and yes, that was the Outstanding Drama Series Emmy in the background at the Metro Court bar.)
As Robin and Maxie discussed John's paternity at Kelly's, Mac joined them and gave Maxie a lecture for not coming home. At that moment, Georgie came downstairs with her suitcase and asked Mac if she could come home. He was elated. Robin told Maxie and Georgie to be glad they have such a great dad, when Robert burst in and sat down, smiling about the Scorpio family reunion. Robert regaled his kin about his Maarkham Islands caper and then dropped the bomb that he was planning to stay in Port Charles. Mac delicately skirted his brother's request to move in with them. Robin graciously told Robert that she doesn't need a father anymore, but he was determined to stay put.
Skye met Lorenzo for lunch at Metro Court, but expressed concern that the Escobar family wasn't leaving him alone. Alcazar reassured her that he had no plans to return to his gangster lifestyle. "No one can touch us," he stated. "Ever." Unbeknownst to Lorenzo, Diego met with Escobar and asked for a job. Later, when Alcazar met with Escobar and told him to buzz off, Diego stepped out of the shadows and suggested that his pop may want to rethink that. Jason arrived and informed the mobsters that he's the new big cheese in town. (Well, not quite in those words, but you get the drift.) After the confrontation, Diego was furious that his dad was becoming so soft. Lorenzo tried to point out that while Jason may hold the power, his life is empty because of it.
Tracy enjoyed rubbing it in Luke's face that Holly absconded with what she thought were the jewels and stated aloud that since Luke's financially indebted to her, she planned to make the most of it and keep her errant husband under her thumb. Luke was later stunned to find Alice massaging Robert's head. He was even more shocked to discover that Edward hired Robert to get Luke out of the Q manse.... At Kelly's, Dillon and Georgie apologized to each other. They agreed that they still loved each other, but life wasn't quite so simple.... Robin showed up at Metro Court to meet Nikolas for lunch and ran into Jax, who was in the midst of planning John's christening. Robin was conflicted. Nik showed up and informed Robin that Helena's on the loose again. Robin then re-thought coming clean to Nik about John's paternity.

At the hospital, Alexis came to Sam's side as she tried to get out of bed to find Jason. However, he was at the docks giving Elizabeth sage advice on how do deal with jealous Lucky, who unbeknownst to them was dancing with Maxie at Kelly's. Speaking of dancing, Diego got a knuckle sandwich when Dillon found him tripping the light fantastic with his wife, Georgie, at the prom. Lucas and Guy broke up the fight, but not before Dillon spouted, "What the hell's wrong with you?" to his underage wife of three months on why she took a convicted felon as her date.
Robin and Carly had a verbal confrontation at Metro Court, but Robin didn't spill about the paternity secret, even though you could tell she wanted to. When Carly ironically pointed out how Robin spilled the secret of Michael's paternity years ago, bystander Nikolas pointed out to Carly how the lie was more convenient for her. If he only knew....
Back at Kelly's, dancing took its toll and Lucky popped more pain pills. "I hate taking any kind of medication," spouted the in-denial druggie. Lucky told Maxie that Liz was playing around with Patrick, though she didn't believe it.... Dockside, Liz recounted her rape to Jason and how it still affects her to this day. Jason said she needs to address her feelings, but Liz put up a brave front. She then lamented about her and Lucky's financial drama and the whole suspected affair nonsense."Things will get better," she sighed. Jason then chimed in about leaving Sam for her own good, while at the hospital, Sam was a basket case. Alexis tried to comfort her weepy, dumped daughter.
Back at the prom, the young Bickersons argued and rehashed their whole sordid history. Georgie wanted none of her husband's excuses about why he didn't call and went back to hanging with Diego. Dillon sought solace with Lulu, who had just arrived with Nikolas. Georgie was furious to see her hubby dancing with Lulu, so she left with Diego.
Downstairs, Jax suspected that Robin might know the truth about John, but Carly said no way. As Robin complained about Carly, Patrick escorted Robin into a room at the hotel. As he disrobed, Patrick asked Robin to change the subject. They kissed, and after Robin said she wanted no commitment, she then questioned Dr. McDreamy if he was okay with her HIV status.
Carly and Jax discussed the paternity dilemma, and considering that Helena was on the loose again, they realized that keeping mum was best for everyone.... At the docks, Jason unloaded his Sam dilemma on Liz. "I can't watch her get shot again," he lamented. (Neither can we!) At the hospital, Alexis told Sam she wanted to tell Kristina that she's got a big sister. Just when Sam was saying she needed time, Alexis realized her daughter's condition was changing for the worse and called in the doctors.
Back at Kelly's, Georgie wondered aloud if she and Dillon married too young, as did Dillon with Lulu.... Patrick lifted Robin in his arms and plopped her on the bed. He took off her shoes and sweet-talked his way into her arms. Patrick then pulled out the condoms. This was it! He was all prepared to make love, but then his pager went off. "Emergency," he declared. Patrick called in to G.H. and Epiphany filled him in that Sam was bleeding. Dang!
Later, Patrick informed Alexis that Sam was okay, just agitated. Keep her calm, he stated.... When Carly told Jax she wanted romance, not just sex, he caressed her with roses and fed her chocolates. Then, she pounced on him.... Robin ran into Nikolas on the docks, and mentioned that Jax has no right to keep him from seeing baby John. Nik admitted that if he were Jax, he'd probably do the same thing... Helena resurfaced, telling an unnamed person on the phone that she was back in Port Charles.... Lucky caught Liz bantering with Patrick yet again.... Jason watched from afar as Sam lamented to Alexis about her missing man.

At Jax's penthouse, Nikolas was upset when Jax decided that Cassadine should stop visiting with baby John. Nik demanded an explanation for the flip-flop. Then, Nik's cell phone rang. It was a call regarding Helena. As of an hour ago, she was at large again and Jax pointed out that that was a good enough reason for Nikolas to stay away from the baby.
Lucky continued to pop pain pills like they were Pez and fumed when he witnessed Elizabeth and Patrick in a jovial moment. He confronted them on their trips to the Cosmopolitan Hotel. Liz freely admitted that it was true. She and Patrick explained they were tending to a patient's private care, and she didn't mention it to her husband because she didn't want to upset him because they needed the extra money. Lucky ordered Patrick to stay away from his wife.
At Kelly's, Maxie explained how John's paternity test results came into her possession, but Robin didn't want to know anything about it. Maxie begged Robin for guidance. Robin was flummoxed. Then it dawned on her — Carly is involved. Maxie continued on about the aborted blackmail scheme and relayed that Jax does know the truth. Then, Robin's phone rang — it was Patrick welcoming her home. He offered to take her to dinner. Robin agreed. She hung up and told Maxie that she'd figure out what to do. They hugged.
At Sonny's house, Corinthos found Emily's book on bipolar disorder. Sonny insisted that nothing was wrong with him and was upset that Emily was worried about him. She pointed out some of his recent erratic behavior, but he insisted he's just relieved to be out of the business. He blamed it on his hot temper and his abusive childhood. "Sometimes it just gets the best of me, but it has nothing to to with bipolar, chemical imbalance, whatever you want to call it," he stated. "I have scars that may never completely heal. Sometimes I lose control. Okay? But I will promise you that I will never turn that rage on you." Emily said she believed him.
Alexis watched as Sam and Jason professed their love, and Sam refused to let go of Jason's hand when he tried to leave her with Alexis. Jason filled her about her touch-and-go condition. "Having you here is the best medicine in the world," Sam smiled. She was shocked to discover that she had needed brain surgery. Patrick entered and explained the surgery to her and mentioned that she would make a full recovery. Alexis was relieved, but pointed out that Patrick needs to work on his bedside manner. Alexis and Sam shared a warm moment as Sam thanked her mother for caring. Afterward, Sam was relieved when Jason told her the hysterectomy wasn't necessary and she could still have kids. Then, Jason dropped the bomb that not only couldn't he marry Sam, but they needed to be apart. "You almost died because of me," he said. His life has gotten too dangerous and it makes her a target, he pointed out. Sam didn't want to hear it. "You love me," she gasped. "I know you do. You don't have to do this." Too late. His mind was made up. Jason walked out and Sam fell to pieces.
Carly visited with Sonny and filled him in about her and the boys' trip to Australia. She was surprised at how reasonable Sonny was being regarding her relationship with Jax.
At Kelly's, Lulu helped Dillon get ready to surprise Georgie for the prom. She even gave him flowers that Alice picked from Lila's garden. Just then, Nik called Lulu and requested to see her. Georgie showed up at the prom with Diego, much to Lucas and Guy's surprise. Classmates gave Georgie a hard time for not attending with her husband, even though she explained that he was out of town. Dillon showed up just in time to see Diego kiss Georgie.
Buzzed-up Lucky went to Kelly's and hung out with Maxie. They talked about missing Jesse. Just then, Maxie and Jesse's song came on the jukebox. Maxie asked Lucky to dance. He agreed. Meanwhile, Jason ran into a teary Liz on the docks.... Alexis tried to calm a hysterical Sam. "He's my family," she bawled about Jason walking out on her. "I am nothing without him." "You have me," Alexis reassured.... When Nikolas learned Lulu didn't have a date for the prom, he decided to go with her.... Emily went to the hospital to seek out Lainey and ran into Jason. They said nothing. Michael then called for Emily and asked her to come over. Em got nervous and said she would. Emily was frantic when she arrived at Sonny's but was happy to see her fears were for naught.... During her dinner with Patrick, Robin was preoccupied and couldn't take her eyes off Carly and Jax. Robin decided to relax and she and Patrick headed to his room, but not before Robin told Carly that she's, "Not going to let her get away with it!"
