GH Recaps Week of May 29, 2006

Friday, June 2, 2006
Who had Luke called? Coleman! The disreputable duo had drinks as Luke made his pitch: Publicly rob the Star — sans violence — to stick it to Tracy. "Wicked," Coleman approved. Lulu freaked at seeing Coleman and leapt to explain her own criminal activities to Luke. At GH, Patrick flirted with Liz (again) and Robin assured him she wasn't jealous (again). At Greystone, Nikolas came to see Emily but she wasn't thrilled. Alexis found Sam's hospital room empty as Sam blasted Jason for trying to pay her off. On the docks, Georgie admired Diego's shiny new watch and he admired her divorce papers. "What's going on with you and Lulu?" she wondered. Coleman nipped Lulu's true confessions in the bud, warning "Tulip" to watch herself. Company got even cozier as Tracy and Robert arrived. Emily made Nik beat a hasty exit, worried about making Sonny uncomfortable. At Jason's, Sonny tried to play relationship counselor but Sam wasn't havin' it. This was the first time Jason had ever made her feel like a whore! Coleman admired Tracy for old times' sake and she praised "Buck." To avert suspicion, Luke whipped out his shotgun, kicking Coleman out.

Patrick and Robin did the whole snarky jealousy deal, complete with Lucky mentions and Robin reminding Patrick to tell his other prospects about his HIV-infected partner. Diego excused away his and Lulu's activities for Georgie and then Lulu ogled his watch, too. Elsewhere, Max and Emily worried that Jason would see Sonny "going off the rails" and flip out himself. "We made promises together," Sam reminded Jason before letting Sonny take her away. Then, she and her ex discussed Jason (which was weird). Lulu eavesdropped on Diego asking Coleman to be let in on the action at the Haunted Star. "You guys get caught. You're all strangers to me," Coleman warned. Back at the Star, nattily dressed Luke and Robert shared drinks and one-liners. "You were the scourge of the DVX and now look at you," Luke sighed. "Your marriage does redefine the term 'ball and chain'," Robert countered. At GH, Robin and Elizabeth gave each other friendly warnings about Lucky and Patrick. Emily came to the penthouse looking for Sonny. "Do you think Sonny's acting strange?" Jason wondered. Her automatic defense raised Jason's hackles.

When Sonny and Sam returned to GH, Alexis told Sonny to back off of her daughters...and he didn't remember threatening to kill her. Robin invited Patrick out and the jealousy thing was brought up again (wethinks they doth protest too much). "The world that our daughters envy doesn't exist!" said Luke. Robert still had hope, though, and he doubted that "Cupcake" Lulu had really accepted Luke's stance on parenting. Emily and Jason turned the topic back to Sam. The topic herself was bummed out as Alexis asked her to come home with her: "We have to start somewhere." Things kicked off at the Haunted Star and when Robin and Patrick arrived, she realized Robert was "up to no good." At the lake house, Kristina warmly welcomed a fragile Sam home. Sonny came home and wanted Max to recap the fight with Alexis. "Did I threaten to kill her?" Yep. That established, Sonny moved on to plans for his garden. Luke got twitchy about the lack of robbery as Tracy raved about having Robert Scorpio around. Robin asked her hovering dad to start the bonding process tomorrow. The robbers finally showed up and unsettled Lulu locked eyes with a masked Diego. At the lake house, Alexis and Ric enjoyed a fire and some wine. "You kept me sane," Alexis told her hubby. "You're amazing." Yeah, he was so amazing that he stared out the doors, where Sam was angsting in a see-through white nightie. Also angsting was Jason (not in a nightie). "Why can't you let yourself be loved?!" Liz wondered, as Manny eavesdropped! Meanwhile, Emily found Sonny doing some late night gardening. Forgetting her bad luck with kooky Corinthoses and gardening tools, she confronted her pickaxe-wielding lover...

What would be Coleman's cut of the Star haul?

Carly assured Nikolas there was no secret — she and Robin simply hate each other. Jax dismissed the women’s sniping but when Nik left, Jax warned Carly not to provoke Robin into digging something up. Carly was sure Robin doesn’t know John is Nik's son, but Jax worried that one DNA test would end life as they know it. Later, he apologized, and Carly said she’d try to be more understanding about his friendship with Robin. Jax admitted he cannot shake his fears of losing “his” son, so maybe they should just tell Nikolas the truth now, because he cannot raise John with such a secret over his head. Besides, maybe it's not their place to “protect” him from the Cassadines.

Maxie couldn't talk her way past Kelly, so Lucky tried to distract her, suggesting that Maxie was picking up a fallen pill bottle, not stealing one. Dr. Lee swallowed it (the story, not the pills), and let Maxie go. Lucky then asked Kelly if Patrick is trying to get Elizabeth into bed. Later, Lucky greeted Liz with flowers and they apologized to each other — a scene Maxie witnessed. Still later, Liz told Patrick things are better with Lucky thanks to him and thanked him with a hug — a scene Kelly witnessed. She told Patrick Lucky was just asking about him hitting on his wife. Patrick suggested Kelly is jealous, and she admitted being attracted — and available — to him. Later, Patrick blasted Lucky for gossiping to his co-workers, and warned Lucky that such behavior would drive Liz right into Patrick’s arms. Maxie then offered Lucky her thanks for helping her: pain-killers. Lucky freaked, but kept the pills. When he saw Patrick and Liz get into an elevator (scandal!) he chewed up a handful of pills.

Jason agreed to hear Sam out. She asked when he had stopped loving her. He said her old life doesn’t exist anymore and he understands if she hates him. But she could never hate him. Later, Justus brought her an offering from Jason: $5 million with no strings attached. Sam asked if Jason sent a message with the check. “I'm sorry,” Justus said.

Sonny reviewed renovation designs with Max and suddenly freaked out when he saw plans for a rose garden instead of an herb garden. Ric suddenly burst in to complain about Sonny threatening Alexis, but the gangster played dumb and claimed Alexis blew stuff out of proportion and imagined the threat. Then he told everyone to just lighten up! Back home, Ric told Kristina that her daddy misses her. Alexis freaked at the thought of letting Kristina near Sonny. Ric relayed Sonny’s denial, and seemed to believe him, which set Alexis off. Then flowers arrived — an apology from Sonny for the “misunderstanding.” Back at his place, Sonny asked Max if he did anything to warrant Alexis flipping out, and Max suggested she gets hysterical sometimes. Looking at the plans with the architect, Sonny suddenly suggested renovating the warehouse, but the architect balked. Sonny decided to go out alone — to Jason’s. Arriving there, he announced that he wants to get back into the coffee business, and needs Jason’s help going the whole Starbucks route: Corinthos Coffee cafes in every suburb and high-end grocery, mugs, T-shirts, music — “the sky’s the limit.” Suddenly, Sam burst into the room and tore up Jason’s check. “How dare you try to pay me off?” she hissed.

In front of the Quartermaines, Luke blasted Tracy for putting a lien onThe Haunted Star, preventing him from borrowing against it. Alan feared this would keep Luke financially dependent on Qs, which would mean Luke would hang around even more. Later, Robert and Luke met Nikolas (Luke’s “bankroll”) at the Star, but the prince refused to give Luke any more money because he wanted to see a return on his investment. A laughing Tracy arrived and hired Robert on the spot to be the new manager of The Haunted Star — with one condition: that he keep an eye on her husband and report back at the first sign of Spencer shenanigans. While they celebrated with drinks, Luke made a furtive call. “I want you to help me pull off a robbery,” he told the unknown recipient.

Kelly asked Patrick if he'd seen anybody suspicious lurking around her office (in Port Charles?), because someone had stolen pages from her prescription pad. Maxie, who was lurking suspiciously near enough to hear, rushed to warn Lucky not to fill those prescriptions because the pharmacy was on the lookout. Lucky assured her he was done with pills, but Maxie still helpfully offered to steal some drugs for him. Elizabeth appeared, and Lucky told her he was there to get Patrick's clearance to return to work; all he has to do is prove himself pain-free. When nobody was looking, he popped a handful of pills right there. Meanwhile, Nikolas asked Liz why Lucky is "paying" his bills, so she revealed it was actually Jason's money, but Lucky didn't know. Nik told her Jason has taken Sonny's place as the most powerful criminal in Port Charles. Later, Patrick cleared Lucky, who immediately vowed to pay back Nik.

Jason visited Coleman to shake him down for protection money. Diego appeared and told Jason that his father is already "protecting" Jake's, but Coleman tossed the punk and denied any deals. Jason vowed to be tougher than Sonny was: 15 percent of bar receipts and 20 percent of the chop shop and any other business (which better not include drugs, underage girls or Jason's friends. Or any combination thereof.). Later, at Metro Court, Jason met with Alcazar (as Carly lurked) and told him about Diego making threats in his name. Alcazar fretted that Jason was just looking for an excuse to take him out. Alcazar later told Carly to tell Jason to back off, but Carly assured him that if Jason wanted to kill him, he would be dead.

At Kelly's, Nik told Lulu he wants to send her to Stanhope, a classy prep school. Robin walked in, and Carly started teasing her. Lulu leaped to Robin's defense, so Carly snapped at her and stormed out. Robin appreciated the effort, but told Lulu to mind her own business. Diego stormed in, but insisted he wasn't looking for Georgie. He asked Lulu if she wanted to go somewhere and discuss how to break up Dillon and Georgie. In an alley, Diego broke into a car and Lulu hopped in. Diego brought the car to Coleman, who paid him off, but warned the punk not to act on his own again. Lulu seemed upset about Diego boosting the car — until he gave her her cut. Suddenly, she was excited about boosting cars. And, oh, yeah, they needed to talk about that Dillon/Georgie thing. Speaking of the teen newlyweds, back at Kelly's Georgie told Dillon she had researched annulments on the Internet, and they don't qualify. They agreed they enjoyed life before marrying, but getting a divorce sounds like they made a mistake. They didn't want to be "exes." Suddenly they noticed Lulu and Diego getting all chummy outside, and agreed that the spectacle didn't bother either one of them.

Alexis took pictures of the new house — which she is buying from Skye through Alcazar. Ric was concerned about how it would look. Alexis said that's nothing compared to bearing Sonny's kid. Ric worried that she's doing it just for Sam, but Sam isn't interested in living with her. Alexis held out hope (and the promise of loud sex) before rushing off. At the hospital, Alexis showed Sam the house pics — including her room. Sam was sure she could change Jason's mind and go home with him. Alexis insisted Jason's life has no room for Sam. Sam insisted that at 26, she'll never fit Alexis' image of a professional woman. At Metro Court, Alcazar gave Ric the keys to the house. They sniped to each other over the Carly/panic room incident, and chatted about Sonny leaving the business before Ric left. Ric delivered the keys, and Alexis complained about him working for Sonny. Did Ric know Sonny threatened to kill her?!

Epiphany basically told Robin that she knows about her and Patrick, so Robin came clean. Then Epiphany warned her not to break his heart or she'll break Robin's legs. Robin joined Patrick in a supply closet for a quickie. Outside, Jason appeared and talked to Liz about money. Then she told him to make up with Sam. Sam came out of her room to confront Jason herself. Back at the nurse's station, Kelly caught Maxie clumsily stealing bottles of meds.

At Metro Court, Nik asked Carly if she's hiding some secret about Jax.

Patrick and Robin awoke in each other's arms. "I knew this would happen," she sighed, figuring he was freaking out over having sex with an HIV-positive partner. Patrick insisted he wasn't a "pre-worrier," but he did wonder if she expected a commitment. Robin was aghast. She admitted being attracted to him, but "tonight was about sex for me," so he should get over it. A kissing Jax and Carly stumbled in, terrifying the lovers. Turns out it's Jax's cabin. Carly teased Patrick about settling for a "vindictive shrew," which got Robin fighting mad, so Jax dragged Carly out. Patrick assured Robin, "I'm here with you. Tonight, anyway." Outside, Jax asked Carly to let up on Robin, because she just slept with a playa. A furious Robin stormed out of the cabin, and Carly went inside, leaving Jax to ask Robin what she has on Carly. Robin confessed she had nothing concrete, then warned Jax to "run, don't walk," away from Carly. Inside, Patrick insisted Robin is "great," but Carly called her a "bed puppy" and joked about bedding him herself. Jax retrieved Carly and they left. Patrick pulled Robin into a clinch.

Lucky and Maxie were both mortified after smooching over Jesse's grave. She moaned about ruining everything good in her life, and Lucky recommended that she just take things as they come. (Say, does he know Patrick and Robin?)

Sonny fumed as he watched Emily and Nikolas laughing on the couch. Sonny was boiling anyway, so he invited Nik to dinner. Nik declined and left. Sonny wanted to make love on the couch, but Emily was shy about someone seeing them through the French doors. Elsewhere, Nik showed Elizabeth the deed to a property he and Emily had — he wants to build them a proper house there. She was sure Lucky would decline, and wouldn't you know it, he suddenly appeared and balked. Lucky wondered how Nik could expect him to accept a house when he's already furious over the medical bills? Nik withdrew the offer and left. Back at Sonny's, Emily confessed she was "excited" about the prospect of getting caught, which she feared was "too perverted." Sonny feared there was something going on with Nikolas. Emily said they're just friends, and were talking about property he wanted to sell. Besides, "he's a prince." Emily said she wanted to be with Sonny, but the gangster was still insecure. Emily admitted that she's upset over Jason pushing Sam away, then went upstairs to get dressed. Sonny grabbed his keys and left.

Jason carried the collapsed Sam to the couch, where she declined medical aid. As Jason fretted about endangering her, she insisted she took on the peril by choice. The phone rang, and it was Alexis. He promised to bring Sam back to hospital. Then he confessed that he still loves her, and Sam insisted that's all that matters — she will die when it's her time to die. "I'm afraid of being the reason that you lose your life," he sighed. Alexis burst in. Sam tried to throw her out, but Alexis was adamant that Sam return to the hospital. Jason defended Sam, but agreed she has to go back to the hospital. Sam refused to go with the EMTs. Alexis counseled that she get better first, then think about Jason. Sam relented and climbed on the gurney. "I'm not giving up on us, Jason," she vowed. Later, at GH, Sam insisted that Alexis accept her and Jason. Alexis suggested that Jason's priorities appear to be Sonny and Emily, not Sam.

Lucky and Elizabeth started to get busy, but the baby started crying. When Liz left, Lucky reached for some pills, but Liz returned and demanded to know where he got them, since his prescription ran out. He covered by telling her they were leftovers, and she swallowed it.

Alone, Jason answered a knock: It was Sonny. "I came to apologize," he said. Meanwhile, back at Sonny's, Emily asked Max about Sonny. "Do you think he's happy?" "Absolutely, I do," came the reply. Sonny apologized for calling Jason a hypocrite, since he knows Jason broke it off with Sam. Then he said it's not fair to end the relationship; what really matters is that they love each other. "Hold on to Sam," Sonny advised, citing his years and experience. "Don't let her go for anything."
