GH Recaps Week of June 19, 2006

Friday, June 23, 2006
When Skye asked Alcazar whether he is still in the business, he wouldn't give her a direct answer, but Jason said he thinks Lorenzo is involved. She thanked Jason for his honesty, and stormed out of the apartment. Lorenzo followed and begged for a chance to explain; Skye agreed to meet him at Metro Court.

Alexis told Sam that she will always be welcome in her and Ric's home. Sam said she doesn't want to put her mom in any danger, but agreed to stay. Alexis requested police protection a little too late: Manny had already entered the house and was lurking in Sam's bedroom, caressing a black sweatshirt. Alexis suggested to Sam that they should start being honest with each other, and Sam concurred. When Sam went upstairs to grab her sweatshirt, she found the shirt lying on the floor.

When Crazy Eyes Corinthos ordered Max to go find Lily, he responded, "You mean Emily?" Sonny thought back to Lily's death. "It should have been me," he said. Ric probed Sonny for details about the night of Lily's accident. Sonny described the dress "kinda floating around her" as she got into the car, and how his whole world "went up in flames" when she died. "It should have been me," he repeated. Ric gushed that he wishes Sonny could go back and save Lily and undo his pain.

At Jake's, the girls' night crew continued its symposium on love. A starry-eyed Elizabeth and Emily talked about the wonders of falling in love, while a skeptical Kelly said love only lasts for so long. Robin posed the question, "Is the joy of falling in love worth the pain of possibly losing it?" A forlorn Lainey looked on, still in shock from Justus's death. Elizabeth advised her to not spend her life thinking about the "what ifs" and worrying about loved ones taking chances. Emily received a call from Max, but Kelly mumbled that it's "GIRL'S NIGHT!" and no one can talk to Emily. Sonny insisted on going to retrieve Emily ... and drove himself there before Max could stop him. Ric threw a hissy fit and insisted to Max that he is Sonny's brother and will decide what's best for him (like getting fueled up on Scotch and driving his Maserati). Meanwhile, Sonny showed up at the bar in one piece and got "keyed up" about Justus's death, smashing his drink on the bar. Emily quoted her favorite 90210 episode: "You've been drinking. Let me drive you home."

While playing pool, Lulu felt foolish when Dillon took off to meet Georgie and affirmed that they love each other. Meanwhile, Diego asked out Georgie for a dinner date, but she turned him down; she still loves Dillon. Later, Lulu announced to Diego that she's tired of playing games: It's time to break up Dillon and Georgie for good. Lulu proposed luring Dillon to find Georgie and Diego in a "compromising position," which will ultimately send Dillon to Lulu for comfort. At the hospital, Dillon showed up with flowers for Georgie, who wiggled her pigtails in delight.

At Metro Court, Skye interrogated Alcazar about the deal he made to get Diego out of prison. He vowed that he got out of the business after that to start over for Skye and their unborn child. After Skye left, Jason (sans proper dinner attire!) burst in to the Metro Court and caught Alcazar in the middle of a sketchy phone call. With Jason's gun to his chest, Alcazar revealed that Manny is alive and has "something to finish" in Port Charles.

On the docks, Patrick told Carly that Jax was a fool to leave, and offered up his body for comfort. Robin showed up just in time to see Carly about to accept his offer. After a heart-to-heart with Alexis, Sam bid her mom good night and began to undress in her bedroom. Sam snuggled into bed and suddenly, a tattooed hand covered her mouth. She struggled as Manny told her to stay quiet.

Outside Jake's, Ric showed up as Emily and Sonny stumbled outside. While he apologized for making Sonny discuss Lily, he laid a hand on Sonny's shoulder, causing his bro to have another flashback. Thinking Emily was Lily walking to the car, Sonny screamed "No!" and threw her down on the ground, shielding them from an explosion. Sonny was stunned to realize that he had just imagined the whole thing.

At the hospital, Emily spoke with Max on the phone to say that she talked Nikolas out of pressing charges against Sonny for his threats. Max was relieved. Sam went to the nurse's station to ask Elizabeth for a job application. Now that she and Jason are split, Sam needs to find a job. Sam mentioned that she and Jason were almost back together until what happened with Justus. "What about Justus?" queried Emily. Sam then had to break the news to Em that her cousin was feared dead. Em and Lainey sat down and comforted each other. Skye arrived and offered her condolences, and Lainey informed her that, during her last conversation with Justus, he said he was going to meet with Lorenzo.

Stan returned to Jason's as the bearer of bad news — the police found Justus's body at the coffee warehouse. "He was dumped?" Jason asked. Carly then barged in, in desperate need of Jason's guidance regarding Jax. Jason put aside business to offer some kind words, sage advice and a shoulder to cry on. Just then, Lucky and Rodriguez showed up to question him regarding Justus's murder. "Why didn't you say something?" asked incredulous Carly. "I'm so sorry." Jason agreed to go downtown for questioning and asked Carly to check in on Sam at Metro Court.

At Casa de Corinthos, Sonny had another dream about Lily in that white dress starting up the car and going "boom." He awoke in a sweat to see Ric hovering over him. Ric poured his brother a drink. Sonny opened up about his dream of Lily's death and said he has been haunted by Lily's smile ever since. Ric dropped subtle hints about how much alike Lily and Emily are — but nothing that horrible could ever happen to Em. (What a sneak!) Just then, Edward barged in and demanded to know why his grandson was dead." "Jason's dead?" Sonny asked. No, his other grandson, Justus. "You ruined him just like you ruined Jason and Karen Wexler and Brenda Barrett and now our Emily ... if anything happens to her, I swear, I will kill you with my bare hands," sputtered the enraged Q patriarch. Ric assured Edward that Sonny's out of the business and that Emily is safe. Edward scoffed and brought up Lily, and Sonny went berserk. He choked Edward, threatened his life and tossed him out. Max chastised Ric for letting Sonny drink so much and for not stopping his attack on Edward. Ric, in turn, told Sonny about Max's insolence, and Sonny informed Max that if Ric gives him an order, it's like it's coming from Sonny. Max said he got the picture and left. Sonny then confessed to Ric that he knows he needs help, and he's glad he's got his brother to rely on.

At the PCPD, Alexis questioned Alcazar about Justus's murder and presented him with his ID bracelet, which was found at the scene of the crime. Lorenzo denied any wrongdoing. Afterward, Alexis quizzed Jason about the circumstances of Justus's demise and asked if he thought Alcazar could be responsible. Jason said he didn't know anything, but since Justus had no enemies, it was puzzling. Jason returned home, where Skye was waiting for him. She asked him the same question about Alcazar. Then, Alcazar strolled in, shocked to see his woman there. Aloud, Skye asked Jason, "Is Lorenzo back in the mob?"

At the hospital, Patrick pulled Robin into the elevator for a quick kiss. He asked her to sneak away with him. She agreed but when she saw Em, Lainey, Skye and Kelly gathered, she knew something was wrong. Kelly broke the news about Justus to Robin, who was shocked and saddened. Lainey, Kelly, Robin, Elizabeth and Kelly headed to Jake's for drinks. Lainey poured shots and made a toast to love.

At Metro Court, Sam bumped into Kristina, who was disappointed that Alexis couldn't meet her for tea. Sam happily offered to fill in. Kristina wondered why Sam doesn't live with them anymore. Meanwhile, Manny broke into Alexis's house and found Molly's missing teddy bear. "It's all about the love," he maniacally chuckled. Later, Sam showed up at the door and informed Alexis that, if it's okay, Kristina persuaded her to move back home. Manny grinned from the bushes.

Carly showed up at the Metro Court bar, and informed the bartender that Jax was gone. Patrick arrived and told Carly he's sorry for her loss. "Which one?" she asked. "There have been a lot lately." Patrick was kind, and gave her a hug — a hug which Nikolas watched.

Max returned with the bottle of scotch Ric requested, then slipped away to call Jason, but couldn't go through with it. As Ric spoke of Jason's incompetence regarding the business, Sonny called for Max and ordered him to find Lily.

At the nurse's station, Dr. Lee asked Dr. Drake, Jr., whether he and Robin were exclusive or if anyone could join him in the supply closet for some fun. Patrick was suspicious of her motives (Was she betraying her friend Robin or doing undercover digging for her? he wondered). He didn't answer the question. Then, Robin showed up. Kelly fibbed and said that Patrick was just saying that he and Robin were committed to each other. "Do tell," asked Robin. "Let's go to dinner," he huffed.

At Wyndemere, Helena hovered over baby John, and said the first thing they need to do is change his name. As the new nanny watched, Nikolas arrived and Helena disappeared. Nik and the nanny bonded while Helena listened in on a baby monitor. Hels was miffed when Nik instructed the nanny to keep his grandmother away from the baby at all costs. He then gave her the run-down on the Cassadine legacy and vowed to keep his son safe.

Jax made plans to meet his mother in Botswana, just as Carly came over and announced she had a special night planned for them. Jax said she couldn't convince he to stay, but she wanted to give him something to come back for. Jax emerged in a tux and took Carly's breath away. At Metro Court, Jax and Carly saw Robin and Patrick having dinner. The couples ignored each other. Jax and Carly settled down for a romantic dinner. He told her, "You are the best surprise I never saw coming." Jax then gave her a gift — the power of attorney for his half of the hotel. Carly was upset and feared Jax wasn't planning on coming back. Jax admitted he wasn't sure what he's going to do. Carly said, "You're giving up on me!" and walked out. Back at home, Jax stared at a photo of he, Carly and the baby. Carly returned and pointed out that they never said they loved each other. She wanted him to stay and fight. They kissed and made love.

Robin's obsessive interest in Carly and Jax turned off Patrick. "You are exactly like Carly," he pointed out. "You create your own drama." Robin got up and left. Patrick followed her out to the balcony, where Robin reluctantly admitted that Patrick was right. In turn, Patrick assured Robin that he really does like her. "When you let down your walls, I really, really, really ... liked having sex with you," he grinned. She laughed and they kissed.

Sonny visited Luke at the Haunted Star, where the former business partners had a drink together. Sonny made arrangements for a private party for he and Emily that night and Luke agreed to fix the games so Em would never lose. Luke was surprised that Sonny wasn't out for revenge after Jason betrayed him, but Sonny insisted he's done with the organization. Mentioning the night Lily died, Sonny wondered what took him so long to get out. Luke pondered their lifestyles and commented that the women who are their angels always end up getting their wings clipped. Luke wished his pal luck with starting his life over.

At the hospital, Emily sought out Lainey, but she had taken a personal day. Epiphany then handed Em a letter that came for her. It was an invitation to the Haunted Star. Emily showed up and met with Nikolas, who was there to see Luke. Nik decided to sneak out before Sonny arrived, but as he handed Em some chips to gamble with, Sonny walked in, saw them holding hands, smashed a wine bottle and threatened Nik. He accused Nik of trying to get Emily back. Em called Max for help. Nik called Sonny insane, which ticked him off more. When Em spoke up for Nikolas, Sonny stormed out. Emily stopped Nikolas from calling the cops. Nik stated that he's worried for her safety. "If you trust me at all ... you'll stay out of this," she begged. "Please!" He reluctantly agreed and said if Sonny ever hits her or threatens her, she'd better call him. Emily swore she would. "He won't hurt me," she assured. Back at Casa de Corinthos, Sonny chewed out Max for pulling him off Nikolas and ordered him to, "Take Cassadine out!" Max left the room, and Sonny caught him calling Jason.

Back at Wyndemere, Nikolas held his son and said he's the luckiest man in the whole world. The nanny watched and was touched.... Emily returned to Sonny's and overheard Sonny and Max arguing over the hit on Nik. After Max tried to dissuade him, Sonny called it off. Em entered and pretended everything was fine, but cracked soon after. Sonny ran upstairs.... Jax rose from the bed while Carly slept and got dressed. He then kissed her shoulder and just before exiting, said, "I love you." After he left, Carly opened her teary eyes and said, "I love you, too."

At Kelly's, John's party broke up and the gang began going their separate ways. Just then, Jax and Carly showed up with Michael and Morgan. Michael asked to hold John, but Nikolas said it wasn't a good idea. Nik gave the baby to Elizabeth and then told Carly that she, Jax and her boys will not be a part of his son's life. Robin got into the fray and supported Nik, then all hell broke loose between the bickering foursome. Michael then spoke up in defense of his mother. Nikolas apologized for raising his voice, but Michael was hurt that he and his family weren't invited to John's party. Jax, Carly and the boys left.

Lucky interrupted Maxie's drug deal and sent the panicked dealer on his way. Maxie was ecstatic, but Lucky was upset that he's got Maxie out scoring drugs for him. "This is my choice," she replied. "I want to help you." Maxie then said she knew he was going to keep the drugs and promised not to tell anyone. Lucky swore that he was almost healed, but he did keep the pills and apologized for putting her in such a dangerous situation. She moved to kiss him, but he stopped her. Maxie confessed that she has feelings for him, but he reminded her that he's married. "Call me if you need another fix," she said while walking away. Lucky then downed more pills like he was raiding jellybeans from an Easter basket.

A concerned Diego called Alcazar and showed him Justus's body in the trunk. Diego assured his father that he had no part in what went down with Justus and wondered if someone's trying to make it look like Alcazar did it. Alcazar sent his son home, then called Skye and cancelled their dinner plans. Edward noted that Skye's mobster boyfriend was probably out killing someone. Skye stuck up for her man and said Alcazar had quit the business. Edward was skeptical, but Skye remained adamant in her beliefs.

At the penthouse, Jason told Lainey that since he hadn't received a ransom call, it was unlikely Justus was still alive. Lainey got upset when she referred to Justus in the past tense. "I just want to know what happened," she sighed. Jason vowed to get to the bottom of this. He asked Stan to take Lainey home and keep an eye on her. She left, and he said he'd keep her informed. Jason then blamed himself for Justus's fate. Sam tried to convince Jason that whatever happened to Justus wasn't his fault, but to no avail. Jason stormed out.

On the docks, George found Diego having a temper tantrum. He refused to tell her what happened, but did say he may have caused something bad to happen. She advised him to be careful and not to make it worse, then gave him a hug, which Lulu conveniently eyed. Georgie told Diego to believe in himself and he sent her away. Lulu emerged from the shadows and congratulated him on his sensitive bad boy routine. Diego flipped out on her.

Lainey had Stan take her to the hospital instead of going home. Epiphany saw them and thought she and her son were an item, but Stan quickly corrected her and informed his mother about Justus. Epiphany chewed out her son for working for a mobster. "You are lost in the woods, son," she sniped. "And the birds have eaten all the breadcrumbs." Stan went to comfort Lainey, who lamented that she didn't know Justus as well as she would have liked. She then asked Stan to take her home.

Jason went to the Quartermaines, where he found Edward alone in the drawing room and informed his grandfather that he believed Justus was dead. Edward didn't want to believe what he was hearing, but eventually came to grips with it. "I wish it was you instead of Justus," Edward spat. The Q patriarch admitted that he'd always hoped that Jason would return to the family but, in fact, he's a cold-blooded killer with no hope for redemption. "How many more people have to die because of you?" he queried. Jason walked out and Edward told Skye about Justus. He voiced his regret about his choices with Justus, and told Skye that for the safety of her unborn child, she needs to dump Alcazar.

Back home, Jax and Carly explained to the boys about what happened with John. Jax reminded that that, no matter what, John is still Courtney's son and they are all family. Carly silently looked on and admired the way Jax handled the situation. After the boys went to bed, Jax stated that if he's not around, Nikolas will let Carly and the boys see John. He voiced that he should leave Port Charles for a while, then called his mother and told her he was going to take her up on the offer.

Lucky returned to Kelly's, where Liz was cleaning up. She filled him in on the argument, noting that after all, it was a surprise party. Lucky then dragged Liz into a dance. She noticed that he seemed to be feeling much better. Unbeknownst to them, Maxie watched through the window.

Diego caught up with Alcazar, who made arrangements to dump Justus's body at Jason's warehouse.... Alone in a service elevator, Manny examined a tattoo gun.... Jason had Sam removed from the penthouse.

Sam's crying wolf regarding Manny caught up with her with Jason. However, Jason realized the window at Kelly's had been pried open from the outside, and he said that the fear in Sam's eyes was real. He believed she was indeed in danger. Jason said he wanted her to come home with him. Back a the penthouse, Jason made it clear to Sam that this arrangement was only for her safety and only temporary. The attraction between the two was still evident, as Jason tried to resist the urge to kiss Sam. Later, Sam asked Jason to join her for dinner, but he refused to eat, "And pretend everything's like it used to be." Lainey then showed up saying she was worried about Justus. He was supposed to meet her for dinner, but never showed. Jason said he'd go look for him.

At the docks, Manny told Justus's corpse that he was unlucky, being at the wrong place at the wrong time. "But, I have use for you," grinned that tattooed wonder. Then, Manny dragged Justus's body away.

Robin showed up at Jax's doorstep to explain about telling Nikolas the truth about John. Carly gave Robin an earful about destroying people's lives and Robin shot back that the fallout of this situation was not her fault — it was Carly's. Jax said there's no point in assigning blame. Carly vowed to make Robin pay for what she did. "Your narcissism is a thing of wonder," pointed out Robin, who had enough and left. Jax told Carly to leave things alone but Carly said she couldn't. Jax then asked Carly to focus on their relationship. They made love, but didn't speak afterwards.

At the hospital, Nik was charmed by the sight of Emily holding his son. "If I had held John before, I would have instantly known he was yours," Em cooed. Nik admitted that he was terrified at the thought of holding the baby, but Em assured him he'd be fine.

At Casa de Corinthos, Sonny shoved Ric against the wall, accusing his brother of trying to gaslight him. Ric played dumb and said he didn't know what Sonny was talking about. Ric lied and denied they had a conversation about the similarities between Emily and Lily. Sonny poured himself a drink and bought Ric's bill of goods. Ric reassured his brother that he only has Sonny's best interests in mind. After Ric left, Sonny asked Max to investigate Ric's recent activities. Emily showed up at Sonny's for dinner. Em could tell her man was upset about something. "Is it about Ric?" she asked. Sonny opened up to her about his suspicions. He recognized his paranoia and questioned his own judgement. Just then, the phone rang. It was Mike, telling him that Bobbie was hosting a welcome home party for John at Kelly's and he should make an appearance, for Courtney's sake. Emily and Sonny discussed the possibility of attending the shindig. They agreed to go, but Em insisted on driving. Sonny apologized for the whole dress incident from last week, and off they went.

Family and friends gathered at Kelly's for Bobbie's surprise party for Nik and John. As Bobbie asked Liz to whip up some brownies, Lucky pulled Maxie aside and asked her for more pills. Nik arrived and the gang all leapt out from behind the counter and shouted "surprise." Lesley grew teary when she held the baby and mentioned that Laura would be so proud of Nik and her new grandchild. Lulu got emotional thinking of her mom, but kept it to himself. Maxie slipped out of the party and met a drug dealer on the docks. The pills were $50 but she only had $20, and offered to "work things out." Meanwhile, Lucky told Liz he was fine without the pills, then told Liz he needed to go and left Kelly's. Lucky showed up just as the drug dealer attacked Maxie. Back at the party, Lulu told Nik that she's available for babysitting duties. Then, Luke arrived, bellowing, "All right, Barbara Jean. What's the big emergency?" He was stunned to see Nik holding a baby. "Nobody's calling me ‘Grandpa!'" grunted Luke. Sonny showed up with Emily, but a panic attack prevented him from entering the party.

Ric covered his tracks with the store he bought the dress from, stating under no circumstances were they to divulge to anyone who bought the dress.

Jason arrived at the docks and found a bullet casing and blood stains. He then left the scene. Lainey showed up later with the cops and noticed the number on the door. It wasn't 26 — the six was loose and upside down. It was 29, Justus's unlucky number. She feared the worst.... Diego went to put a case of wine into his car and when he opened the trunk, he was shocked to find Justus's body inside.... Jason went home and told Sam that he thinks Justus was ambushed and may be dead. He pointed out another person got shot because of him, and there's no way Sam can come back to him.
