GH Recaps Week Of July 10, 2006Friday, July 14, 2006 Sam showed Ric her latest plunging-neckline purple dress on her way to Jason's to get her passport. Ric offered to pick up her passport for her. Later, Sam was being interviewed for a job at GH (no diploma, no G.E.D.), and they recounted the last two years of her nutso life (Y'know, mobsters, gunfights, dead babies, kidnappings, etc.) before she stormed out. When she got home Kristina invited her swimming. Later, a sopping-wet Sam laid out on a the terrace in her bathing suit (apparently the most modest piece of clothing she owns). Ric spotted her and got an eyeful. Jason and Sonny were discussing business when Emily reminded him to go to therapy. Meanwhile, Lainey breached professional ethics to tell Carly that Sonny has an appointment. Carly insisted she doesn't want to get back with him. Lainey said Sonny has to save himself; Carly realized she has to save herself. Sonny said he's too busy for therapy, and Emily warned Jason not to pull Sonny back into the business. Jason agreed to run things alone. Emily was angry that Jason enabled Sonny for years. later, at GH, Sonny defended his button man and pointed out there's no guarantee therapy will work. He ended up sitting next to Max, who cowered behind a newspaper. When spotted, Max tried to cover. When Sonny expressed astonishment that Max has a regular appointment, an embarrassed Max fled. Once inside with Lainey, Sonny said Carly thinks he's bipolar; he thinks he just had a bad time — and doesn't want to discuss it. "It feels like you're falling into a bottomless pit," he described. "I would very much like it to stop." Lainey asked about his childhood and he recounted bashing in a bully's head. Then he recalled Lily's fate and the way Jason and Carly care for him. And how he hurts people. He doesn't want to do that to another woman again. Lainey asked: Another woman — or Carly? Carly ran into Nikolas on the docks and tried to finagle a visit with John — again — but Nik would have none of it — again. Meanwhile, Jason was going through the mail when he found a picture of himself with Sam. Then Ric arrived to demand her passport and pick a fight. Jason got very suspicious of Ric just as Carly burst in. She confronted Ric, who took credit for getting Sonny professional help. Jason threw Ric out and told Carly he thinks Ric pushed Sonny over the edge. He theorized that Ric bought Emily the white dress Sonny cannot remember (he's never had blackouts before). Carly vowed to prove it, since she needs the distraction. Now Jason was suspicious of her. "I didn't sleep with him," Carly insisted. He just reminded her why she loved him.
Meanwhile, Lainey asked what Sonny feels when he thinks of Carly. "We fight," he admitted. And the more they do, "the more I want to take her clothes off." He flashed back to a fight he had with her over Brenda that ended in kissing. Lainey suggested he and Carly feed off each other's pain and dysfunction. But the question remains: "Do you love Carly?"
Thursday, July 13, 2006 At Jake's, Carly asked the boys, "Which one of you is man enough to take me on?" She provoked them by highlighting their feuds and challenged them to a game of pool. Patrick stepped up, but a call from Lulu sent Carly away. At the bar, Max had a fantasy about Carly propositioning him. "Touch me," DreamCarly said. He spilled his beer and snapped out of it. Patrick defended Carly when Ric called her a man-eater. Then Patrick's DreamCarly appeared on the pool table and offered to help him forget...whoever. When he kissed her she disappeared. Then it was Lucky's turn. He "rescued" his DreamCarly at gunpoint, and she tempted him with pills — even though she's his cousin. Then she disappeared. Meanwhile, Carly met Lulu at Kelly's, and Lulu asked for help with Dillon. Carly warned her cousin that men hate being lied to, and lies always catch up with you. Carly admitted she once felt the same way about Jason and lied and cheated to keep him. It blew up in her face, but he's still her best friend. Can Lulu keep a secret forever? Lucky suggested all guys want what they can't have. Ric put a coin in the jukebox and DreamCarly appeared (apparently she's coin-operated). She suggested he's trying to forget about Sam and her "soft dress clinging to her body." He kissed DreamCarly and she disappeared, leaving the jukebox skipping. Nik fixed it with his best Fonzie impression. Nik's fantasy involved DreamCarly saying he hoped to get Emily back, but she offers him pure sex. They kissed, and poof! Max blasted the boys for having "impure thoughts" about Carly. Lucky led the exodus from Jake's. Then the real Carly walked in. Coleman noted she'd just missed her fan club, but she said she was meeting someone. Carly noted the guys' good points (except for Ric, who's "a freak"), but said no one is worthy of her. Then Jason appeared. Carly confided that Lulu is going to make all the same mistakes Carly did, then asked why he stuck with her through all her lies? He said because she "would never go away." She vowed to remain his friend. Emily appeared at Sonny's, where Sonny told her it's okay if she wants to leave now. He's scared of what's happening to him, but Emily was defiant in the face of the "he's dangerous" argument everyone has spouted every day for months. Jason suddenly apologized for presuming to dictate her life to her, but she was furious he waited so long. Sonny didn't want to use a legitimate medical reason to excuse his behavior. Emily lobbied for professional help, but Sonny fretted over passing defective genes to his kids. Emily said he should set an example for them by seeking treatment. Meanwhile, Sam found Jason at the docks — and told him to go back to the hospital. Jason said he's helping Sonny, and his terse response made her angry. She's decided to make a life without him. She's sick of his rhetoric about danger and protection (who isn't?) and walked. Back at Sonny's, Emily suggested talking to Lainey, not a stranger (HUH?), but Sonny feared he couldn't face the fear. She offered to help. Elizabeth asked Epiphany if the flowers at the nurses' station were from Lucky — it's the anniversary of their engagement (Yes, guys, women really keep track of such things) — but they weren't. At home, Lucky meekly slipped in, covering with a story about getting beers with Nik. But he brought her flowers for their (un)anniversary and they smooched. Outside Kelly's, Dillon met with Lulu, who confessed that she made up the Georgie lie, and she hates herself. Dillon assumed she was trying to take the fall for Georgie and discounted her confession. Emily wondered why she makes Sonny feel worse. He swore he doesn't regret anything, so she asked him to trust her. If he goes through therapy and realizes she's not the woman for him, "I'll walk away."
Wednesday, July 12, 2006 Nik told Colleen to call him "Nikolas." She explained why she became a nanny and complimented his parenting skills. He complimented her nannying skills. Then she told baby John that great-grandmother's plan is working. Later, Colleen reported to Helena on the docks (where EVERYBODY goes ALL THE TIME). Helena complained that Nik sealed all the secret tunnels into Windemere, so Colleen must be her eyes and ears more than ever. Patrick denied being a homewrecker, and criticized Robin for buying Maxie's cover story. Then he asked Kelly to dinner, but she begged off. Later, Kelly told Robin she needs a roommate more than she needs to hook up. Lainey suddenly appeared, and Kelly invited them all to see this new place she got. Later, Ric found Lainey and told her Sonny is getting worse. He asked her to help, but she balked — just as Carly appeared and said there's no way she'd let Ric commit Sonny. Lainey got a call, so Ric and Carly bickered over who Sonny trusts. When she stalked off Patrick grabbed her and asked her to have sex now. (Yes, it was just that romantic.) She somehow managed to turn him down. Alcazar found Skye and Robert at Metro Court, where Anna scowled at Robert from the bar. Alcazar approached Anna and asked if Robert has ever mentioned Skye. She said they avoid each other. Alcazar was suspicious of why she's in town. Skye told Robert that Lorenzo's life is too risky and asked Robert to help her disappear. He agreed, but warned her she will have to be gone for a decade or maybe even forever. Skye agreed. Alcazar escorted Skye out. Robert accused Anna of being on a mission involving Alcazar. "I didn't know you had a thing for pregnant women," she sniped at him. He smiled at her jealousy. Lucky literally bumped into Elizabeth, and they kissed. He said he doesn't want to take her or Cam for granted. Patrick took Liz away, so Lucky popped some more pills right there at the nurses' station! Later, Lainey caught Liz leaving on personal errand. Lucky overheard and followed. Nikolas met with Robin, who complimented his parenting skills. Then she said she needs to go look at a place with her potential roommates — Courtney's loft. He told her it's a nice place and Courtney would want her to live there. Max got a beer at Jake's and mooned over Carly. "She really gets me," he sighed — then pretended to be talking about Latecia when Coleman got curious. Ric walked in and picked a fight over Sonny, which led him to realize that Max is carrying a torch for Carly. Well, that and Max bodily threatening him. Patrick walked in at that moment, and they realized that Carly has them all worked up. [At this point the New York feed was interrupted by a weather report (It's raining!) from Sam Champion — yes, he claims that's his real name. The feed resumed for commercials.] Carly found Nik at the docks (where EVERYBODY goes ALL THE TIME) and tried to manufacture an excuse to visit John, but Nik was still angry at her for keeping the secret. Finally, she apologized and admitted she was wrong. Nik asked if she was flirting with him. At Kelly's, Kelly and Lainey bubbled after seeing Courtney’s loft, but Robin had to be convinced — which she quickly was. They all toasted their new beginning. Robin acknowledged that Patrick was probably out with the boys, and the girls surmised that the men would be thinking about one thing: "Sex." Actually, Patrick and pals — now joined by Nik and Lucky — were discussing romance. And how it sucks. Ric suggested that scheming Carly would be perfect for Sonny. They all need a bad girl. Speak of the devil: Carly strutted in. "Do the ladies in your lives know what you bad boys are up to?"
Tuesday, July 11, 2006 Ric left Alexis and Sam to take care of something, and Alexis theorized it had something to do with Sonny. She feared ending up on the opposite side of the law from Ric. Sam suggested quitting the DA post. Alexis dismissed becoming "a gun moll" — offending her gun moll daughter. Sam said she's sure Jason is over her. Alexis offered support, but warned Sam that some day she may have to prosecute Jason. Sam would be cool with that, but hoped it doesn't happen — after all, there are worse people she can prosecute. Liz demanded that Carly help Jason with Sonny, but instead they quarreled over which one was acting like a jealous shrew. Meanwhile, Jason reminded Sonny that he's sick, so all their recent problems are his fault. "There's enough blame to go around," Sonny suggested. "Can you accept me being with your sister?" Sonny recounted his assault on Emily while she was wearing the white dress. Then Ric interrupted. Sonny left the room and Ric recounted Jason's litany of sins against Sonny. Then Carly interrupted. "You're scum," she charged. Ric blasted her and Jason for manipulating Sonny, but Carly turned the accusation back on him — and brandished a fireplace poker! Sonny returned and called for order. Ric appealed to Sonny to get rid of Jason and Carly, while they begged him to boot Ric. Sonny said he can count on his brother (who was here for him), but Jason and Carly know how to "get me through this." Ric protested, but Sonny's rage flared at the thought of professional help. Sonny insisted he'll be okay, so Ric left — but not before exchanging threats with Jason. Carly brought Sonny a huge sandwich and chips, then they snuggled. Dillon and Lulu each dodged the love question, then Tracy and Robert both counseled against rebound relationships. Lulu overheard Tracy calling her a predator and Dillon confessing he loves Georgie, not Lulu. He thinks Lulu understands, but she looked stricken. Meanwhile, at Kelly's, Georgie broke her kiss with Diego, who vowed to wait for her until she's over Dillon. Outside Kelly's, Tracy and Robert exchanged notes: Lulu is smitten, but Dillon is still stuck on Georgie. Later, Georgie ran into Dillon. She again protested her innocence and couldn't understand how he could believe she would cheat. Elsewhere, Diego and Lulu compared notes: She's smitten, but understands Dillon isn't. If sex is all she can get from Dillon, she'll take it. At GH, Patrick quizzed Elizabeth about Jason, and she asked him not to mention that Jason thing to Lucky. Speak of the devil: Lucky "the hero" arrived to take his wife to sinner at a fancy restaurant. Outside Sonny's study, Carly and Jason compared notes. Jason feared Sonny is in his worst shape ever, and might actually need professional help. Carly was suspicious of how Sonny got into such dire straits under Ric's "care." Meanwhile, Sam found Ric on the terrace and went to confront him in her flattering white dress. At first he didn't want to talk, but then he suggested Jason is "a selfish, controlling bastard." And Sam agreed.
Monday, July 10, 2006 Alexis asked Ric if it's okay for Sam to move in with them — it was. When Mayor Floyd wanted to discuss Manny's case, Ric took Sam home. Floyd remarked on the awkwardness of Alexis' family life. She told him to leave the Manny case alone, but Floyd worried about spinning it for the public — for instance, Jason was her daughter's fiancé. At home, Ric tried to commiserate with Sam over her kidnapping. She admitted she's still hurting over Jason. Later, Ric spotted Sam crying on the terrace in an almost transparent white shift, her legs silhouetted in the moonlight. "It's just really hard" she said — meaning letting go of her dreams. Ric agreed, put a hand on shoulder and told her to cry. "Don't tell Alexis," she sobbed. "Don't tell me what?" Alexis asked. Awwk-waaard. Sam apologized for being all weepy. Alexis said she understood losing Jason was a severe blow. Sam suddenly blurted out that she wants her GED and a job at the hospital, so Ric and Alexis vowed to help. Jason appeared to Sonny. "This has to stop," he said, agreeing to return to the hospital if Sonny agrees to get help. Jason insisted he can't leave Sonny alone — but can't care for him alone. Carly sang the praises of Rose Lawn, but Sonny vowed to fight committal. Sonny was concerned about Michael and Morgan, but didn't recall talking to them. Carly vowed not to give up him and they hugged. Sonny went upstairs and Carly revealed that Sonny kissed her (and she went along with it). "You owe me, big time," she noted. She left to check on the boys. Sonny came back downstairs in a clean shirt and said Carly and Jason should hate him. Back home, Carly comforted the confused boys and tried to explain Sonny's condition, likening his emotions to a stereo that gets louder and louder. Meanwhile, Sonny asked why Jason doesn't want revenge for Sonny getting him attested and putting a hit on him. Jason dismissed it as not his fault. Meanwhile, Liz appeared at the door, but Max sent her away. Jason pointed out that Sonny did all he could when Carly broke down, so how can he expect any less? Sonny insisted he didn't deserve their loyalty. In the boathouse, Lulu was basking in the afterglow of her second time with Dillon when Tracy walked in. She flipped over Dillon being with his stepsister. Tracy summoned Robert and insisted he talk to Lulu. "Spy school never dealt with adolescent relationships," he protested. Later Dillon discovered Tracy had padlocked the boathouse. Dillon protested that his marriage is over, but Tracy felt responsibility for her stepdaughter. "You're family, like it or not," she pointed out. She recalled being a teenage girl seeking attention. Meanwhile, Robert ran into Lulu, who freaked when she realized Tracy ratted on her. Lulu said, "It's just sex," but Robert pointed out that it's never "just sex." Both Tracy and Robert asked the kids the $64,000 question: Are you in love? Maxie found Lucky at the docks and reported that Liz left her post at the nurses' station — and she "couldn't help noticing" that Patrick disappeared shortly after. Lucky got angry, and Maxie got huffy. Despite the way his eyes kept drifting down to her...er...sexy, low-cut red top, she insisted he only paid attention to her when she could score him pills. He denied that — and kissed her. Liz knocked on Carly's door to complain about Jason being at Sonny's because "he could bleed to death!" Meanwhile, Jason regretted barring Sonny from Emily, because on his watch as boss Sam got shot and Justus got murdered. "Whatever happened, it's on my head," Jason confessed. "I drove you to this breakdown. I am truly sorry."
