Liz assured Ric she wouldn't blow his trap for Jason. He then got a call that Carly had flipped out in the E.R. "I'll make you pay!" Carly yelled as she trained her gun on Sonny. Jason slipped by during the ruckus and entered what he assumed was Sam's room but was confronted by an armed policewoman. Before she could call for backup, Jason overpowered her. Meanwhile, Ric realized Carly was intentionally causing a diversion and discovered Jason had escaped. Ric then quarantined Carly, Jax and Sonny for questioning, where the guys admonished her for her stunt. Charges against Carly were dropped and she left with Jax.

Liz found Jason and he said he needed her help to get Sam out of the hospital. Jason then took Epiphany hostage and dragged her onto the elevator. Turns out she was part of the charade as Liz disguised Sam and wheeled her out of her room. Ric was infuriated to find Sam was missing while Jason was able to bolt from the hospital. Liz took Sam to a safe place where she was reunited with Jason. Meanwhile, we learned Ric had placed a tracking device on Liz and discovered where they were located.

Since Helena was committed to the same mental hospital as Laura was, the Cassadine fiend charmed an orderly into finding out everything he could about Mrs. Spencer's case history.

Laura recalled her violent confrontation with Rick. Luke burst in and was crushed to find her in such emotional distress. "I killed my stepfather," she sobbed and was terrified of going mad again. Luke begged her to leave with him but she demanded to know the entire truth. "I forced you to confront things you weren't ready to handle," Luke lamented. "I thought I could take care of you." He said they needed professional guidance but Laura said all she ever needed was him. He agreed to help her remember and explained how Rick had been drugging her to forget that she accidentally killed his lover years ago. Laura then recalled on her own how four years ago, Rick tried to drug her again and she killed him with a blow to the head. "It wasn't murder," Luke explained. "It was an accident." Laura begged Luke to forgive himself and they tenderly embraced.

Lulu informed her brothers that their mother was marrying Luke next week. Nikolas reminded his siblings that Luke is still married to Tracy and had serious doubts about how Luke was handling Laura's recovery. The siblings decided to trust Luke and rejoiced about the upcoming wedding. Oops. Helena overheard their conversation and vowed to escape in order to attend the nups.

Alcazar was poised to confiscate Sonny's shipments and ordered his goon to implement a raid. Later, he shared a tender moment with Skye and their daughter. Sonny and his thugs showed up with their guns drawn and started searching the house but Alcazar was able to point a gun at Sonny.

"How are you feeling, angel?" Luke asked Laura, who admitted to being overwhelmed. The couple set a wedding date and discussed where to hold the ceremony. Laura suggested Lila's rose garden so Luke broke the news that she had died. He promised to find a worthy location for their nups. "I can't wait to see what our future is going to look like," chirped Laura. Lulu showed up and was thrilled to hear that her parents were going to exchange vows. Later, Laura overheard Lulu tell Luke that she was afraid she would become crazy "like Mom." Laura was horrified to hear Luke talk about her condition. After Lulu left, Laura pretended to be okay and sent Luke off to find a wedding locale. Alone, Laura began to have troubling flashbacks. She entered the dreaded attic where more unfortunate memories flooded back and she broke down in sobs.

Luke visited Edward, who was thrilled to hear that Tracy was now divorced. Luke asked if they could have his and Laura's wedding in Lila's rose wedding and Ed agreed. "You don't know what this means to Laura," Luke said. He went home and was concerned when Laura was missing.

Carly got frustrated with her wedding plans and fretted that Sonny was jinxing her future. Jax suggested they postpone the ceremony but Carly said that would be a victory for Sonny. Jax wasn't happy with the reason for her determination to keep the date but decided he was happy they were still headed for the altar.

Sam visited her child's grave and was ambushed by the police. She tried to run and was shot. The wound was non-life threatening but Ric ordered her taken to the hospital. "You know Jason will come looking for me," Sam charged. The paramedics arrived and injected Sam with a sedative at Ric's behest. At the hospital, Ric swapped Sam with a decoy. Liz was shocked to find Sam in another room but Ric grabbed his ex-wife. "You weren't supposed to see that," Ric hissed.

Sonny surmised to Alexis that Carly won't go through her wedding because an on-the-run Jason won't be available to walk her down the aisle. Jason (who had eavesdropped on Ric's cell phone) called Sonny with the news that Sam had been shot. Sonny promised to check it out and informed Alexis that her husband had her daughter fired upon in the cemetery. After Sonny left, Alexis called Jax about Sam. He and Carly came over and Alexis wanted to get down to the E.R. to see her daughter. Jax told her to take it easy while Carly reamed Alexis for Jason's woes and stormed out. Alexis was upset when a patch of her hair came out due to her chemo treatment. She asked Jax to check on Sam.

Sonny met up with Jason, who was worried sick about Sam. Sonny advised his pal not to try and see her at the hospital because Ric would surely be ready to capture Jason. "I don't care!" he exclaimed. "I have to get to Sam!" They saw a news bulletin on TV that Sam had been taken to General Hospital. Jason wanted to go there immediately but Sonny urged him to stay calm. Sonny went to the hospital and accused Ric of mismanaging his office. After Ric departed, Sonny encountered Carly in the E.R. She spotted Jason hiding nearby and caused a distraction by drawing a gun on her ex. "You son of a bitch!" she yelled.

Jax visited Alexis in her hospital room, where she conceded that considering her collapse in the police station, maybe it was a little too soon to try and go back to work. Jax advised his pal to take it easy.

In the cemetery, Ric waited for Sam at the site of her baby's grave, as it was the two-year anniversary of the girl's death. He was convinced that Sam would make an appearance and was determined to capture her. Ric had cops stake out the site and he headed to the hospital, where he met up with Liz. Ric feigned interest in Lucky's condition but was actually fishing for info about Jason. He came up empty, then brought coffee to Alexis. She refused it and they argued over the D.A. position. She vowed to recover in order to take the job away from Ric. He said her illness will not stop him in bringing Sam in.

Lulu ran into Professor Pete at Kelly's, where she mentioned her fear that she might have mental problems in the future like her mother. Lulu opened up about Laura's past and her condition. Pete listened intently and, if she was determined to believe she was going to lose it one day, he advised her to live life to the fullest. He told Lulu that he didn't feel sorry for her because she was too busy doing that for herself. He told her she needs to see the campus production of Streetcar Named Desire to see a great depiction of madness. "Are you asking me out?" Lulu asked. "Consider it extra credit," Pete replied. Across the restaurant, Dillon and Georgie watched the exchange and when Pete left, they quizzed Lulu and were shocked to hear about the "date."

At Metro Court, Sam woke up from a nightmare about her baby dying and Jason comforted her. Across town, Sonny continued to give Carly guff about her relationship with Jax. She got tired of hearing it and left. Carly headed to Metro Court, where she brought Sam some clothes and money. Jason warned her to stay away from them. He vowed he'd protect Sam and himself. Jason ordered Carly to stay out of this mess and she begged him to leave town. Sonny showed up after following Carly, while Mac appeared in the lobby and told Jax that he wants to search the room that's in Carly's name.

After a night of making love, Patrick made Robin breakfast. They were both pleased that Kelly and Lainey had cleared out of the apartment. Robin recounted Patrick's grand romantic gesture from the day before and was tickled when her lover made her favorite breakfast, French Toast. It was delicious. Robin cleaned up and they exchanged, "I love you"s again and kissed. Patrick went to work and Robin filled in her roomies about her Dr. McDreamboat. At the hospital, Epiphany tried to sass Patrick but he smiled and said he knows she's happy for he and Robin. Dr. Scorpio arrived at the hospital and Patrick pulled her into the supply closet for a smooch (and more!)

Jason got Sam out of the hotel before Mac came up, and they made it to a safe house that Bernie and Stan set up. He vowed they'd stay there until they could get evidence on Ric's manipulations.

Back at Metro Court, Jax stalled Mac for as long as possible. When they entered the room, the men found Carly and Sonny making out on the couch. "Do you mind?" Sonny asked. "Some things are too good to give up, even when you're divorced." Jax told Carly they're through. Jax and Carly argued and Jax stormed out. In the lobby, Carly was relieved that Jax understood what was going on and that their fight was just an act. Sonny then pointed out that Carly will have to postpone the wedding, now that Jason's on the run. Carly told Jax she's determined to go through with the wedding as planned, Jason or no Jason. But when the wedding coordinator showed Carly the centerpieces, she pitched a fit and said they wouldn't do.

Jason showed up at the hospital disguised as a doctor and asked Liz for help in getting Ric's cell phone. Liz was able to lift it and get it to Jason. He cloned the phone and handed it back to her. Epiphany witnessed the exchange and chastised Liz for helping a fugitive while she's pregnant.

Sam heard a baby cry and met a neighbor in the building who was carrying her child. Sam assisted the women in getting into her apartment. She then went back into theirs, wrote a note and headed out. Later, Jason returned from his errand, found the note and got upset. Ric's cloned phone rang. Jason listened in as the cops reported that Sam's at the grave site. They moved in and Jason winced as he heard a shot fired.

Aboard the Haunted Star, Tracy pointed out the one teensy-weensy flaw in Luke's plan to remarry Laura — he's still married to her! The family then debated about doing what's best for Laura versus basing Laura's recovery on a lie. The room was evenly divided. Luke asked to have a moment alone with his wife. After the gang left, Tracy was surprised to learn the remarriage was Laura's idea and accused Luke of still being in love with his ex-wife. (Well, duh!) Luke honestly admitted he enjoyed being married to Tracy, and thanked her for being kind to Lulu, which surprised and touched her. He said there's no way he could tell Laura the truth for fear of ruining her recovery. Tracy said she could, but acknowledged Luke's pain and his plight. She added that Luke needs someone more complex. "Magic is illusion," Tracy pointed out. "And you're going to have to consider what's going to happen when reality sets in."

At Casa de Corinthos, Jax warned Carly that Sonny and Michael are out to thwart their marriage plans. She agreed but didn't think they were in cahoots. She then reassured Jax by pointing out that she had married Lorenzo to spite Sonny, but that's not the case with him. She then asked if he considered her a prize. "I love you," he replied. They kissed. Then, Carly's cell phone rang. It was the security manager from Metro Court, reporting that her pass key had just been used. She covered by saying she'd given permission for an old friend to use it. She got off the phone and quickly excused herself from a perplexed Jax.

At Alcazar's, Sam was deeply affected by holding Lila Rae. Noting that, Jason took the baby, just as Skye entered the room. She took her child, but didn't alert Lorenzo to their presence. The fugitives snuck out undetected and Skye stayed mum with Alcazar. Skye restated her doubts about Alcazar's occupation and Lila's safety not going hand-in-hand. They kissed.

Jason and Sam then showed up at Metro Court — they were the ones using Carly's key in order to hide out. Jason assured Sam that Skye's not going to cause trouble for them. They kissed. Jason went into the other room as Sam recalled holding the baby. Then, the doorknob turned. Sam shut off the lights and pulled out a gun. It was Carly, of course. Jason chastised Carly for coming over unannounced and she needs to keep her distance from them, for her own safety. Carly left, and Sam and Jason reflected on losing Sam's baby girl two year's ago tomorrow. They imagined how life would have been different had the baby lived. They then acknowledged that at least they have each other and hugged.

At the hospital, Robin barked at Patrick to stop saying, "I love you." Robin said that with their commitment issues, that word doesn't apply to them, then she walked off. Robin went home, pulled out a bottle of wine and unloaded on her roommates about Patrick's arrogance and risk-taking and how much ... she loves him, too. Robin cooled off and then voiced regret about her eruption and stomping on her man's heart. Robin lamented about her history with love as Lainey and Kelly listened sympathetically. Then, the gals heard loud music. As Kelly went to the window, Robin mentioned that she and Patrick had just listened to that song a couple of days ago. Kelly called Robin to the window. Outside was Patrick, holding a bouquet of flowers by candlelight. Robin went down to see him and after a neighbor shouted he'd call the police, Patrick turned the music down. He then launched into an "I love you" speech that rivaled that similar heart-tugging scene with John Cusack in Say Anything. Then, after a great speech by Robin in which she admitted her love, in true Patrick form, he replied, "I've known for a long time. But it's nice to hear."

Carly returned home to Jax, who was angry that she deceived him regarding Jason and Sam. "You should have told me," he huffed. Carly apologized but firmly stated that Jason comes with the package and if Jax can't accept him, it's a deal-breaker. Jax said, "That's fine. Just don't ever lie to me." Carly said that she'd had problems with the truth in the past but for him, she'd make the effort. They kissed.

During the stand-off on the roof, Jason shot the gun out of Ric's hand. D.A. Lansing called for backup and chewed out Rodriquez for allowing the fugitives to escape.

At the Haunted Star, Patrick suggested to Robin they continue "gambling" back at his place. Before they could "place their bets," the duo was beeped by the hospital. The docs were brought in for a patient who was beaten up, due to his HIV status. Robin suggested that they get another doctor to operate, citing how they got personally involved with HIV patient April, who later succumbed to the illness and it took an emotional toll on them. "Nonsense," Patrick huffed. After the operation, Patrick chastised Robin for correcting him during surgery and let it slip that he loves her. Robin was stunned.

Back On the Haunted Star, Alcazar reminded Skye that the more powerful he is, the safer his family will be. Skye wasn't thrilled with that thought and pointed out that she was concerned for him as well as the safety of their baby girl. The pair returned to Alcazar's house. Unbeknownst to them, fugitives Jason and Sam had just broken in to investigate Alcazar's computer. Skye brought the baby in and Alcazar held her in his arms. He vowed to be a better father with his daughter than he was with Diego. They laid the baby down and left the room. Jason and Sam emerged from hiding, but Lila Rae started to stir. Sam picked the baby up.

Also back at the Haunted Star, Emily was thrilled to win her bet when she played Nikolas's birthday on the roulette wheel. Across the room, Carly reminded Sonny that she's perfectly happy with Jax and that Corinthos wouldn't be leaving with her. Just as Sonny and Jax started getting into it, Michael phoned his mom, saying he was ill. Carly refused to kow-tow to Michael's pleas to come home, believing he, like Sonny, was trying to sabotage her date with Jax. Sonny huffed that he cares enough about his son to go and check on him and left. Jax asked Carly if she was going to cave to the manipulations. She vowed not to, but when they got home, they found Michael lying on the couch with Sonny. Carly noted he didn't have a fever but took the boy upstairs to get something to settle his upset stomach. Sonny told Jax that no man will ever take his place with his family.

In Beecher's Corners, Laura ripped down "The walls of Jericho" (a.k.a. the blanket between their beds) and asked Luke to marry her again. He suggested that she may want to take her time with making a decision that major after just emerging from her "four-year snooze." She was upset and asked if he didn't want to marry her again. He insisted that he does want to marry her. He told Laura that the past four years to him have seemed like 400. He recounted about taking her to different facilities for treatment, but no hope ever came. "You are the life I was meant to have," Laura told Luke. "And you are mine," he replied. Laura started pressing for more details about the circumstances that sent her into catatonia and Luke managed to evade giving away any truths. She wanted to know where her engagement ring from four years ago went. He said it was back at home in a music box, but managed not to let the cat out of the bag that he has a new wife in Tracy! They returned home, where Luke emerged with the music box and gave Laura the ring. He then placed it on her finger and proposed. Laura happily accepted. Lulu interrupted her parents kissing and was stunned when Laura said she and Luke were getting married again. Lulu was thrilled when her mom asked her to be the maid of honor and when the women hugged, Luke silently hushed his daughter into silence about you-know-who.

Later, Luke returned to the Haunted Star and kicked everyone out. He told Nikolas and Emily to stay, as he was calling a family meeting. Bobbie, Lulu, Lucky and Elizabeth joined them and he ordered the gang to stick with the same story: Laura's memory loss was due to a car accident in which she was driving, the brakes failed and Rick Webber was killed. No mention of the attic, he stressed. The gang agreed to go along with Luke's plan of protecting Laura from the ugly truth. Then he broke the news about they remarrying, just as Tracy walked in and reminded her husband that he already has a wife.

Meanwhile, Laura napped at home when Lesley came in and Laura shared the news of her engagement to Luke. Lesley was thrilled her daughter was so happy. Lesley slipped that the music box had been kept up in the attic. Afterward, Laura had a memory of she and Rick in the attic.
