GH Recaps Week of January 22, 2007

Friday, January 26, 2007
Today's episode began with a bang — literally. A panicked Port Charles gathered outside of Metro Court as Sam jumped out (yes, jumped) and warned the group to get everyone out ASAP. As the SWAT team advanced, Nikolas ran out with an unconscious Robin in his arms. He placed her on the ground and ran back inside to get Emily — just as Metro Court exploded. Cue the opening credits.

When we returned, it was 16 hours earlier. Mike, Lulu, Bobbie, Liz and Lucky were all overjoyed when Nikolas and Emily entered the hospital with a happy and healthy Spencer. Once alone, Lucky professed his love again to Elizabeth, who was obviously uneasy. Later, Emily and Liz chatted about their respective relationships. Em encouraged Liz to give Lucky another chance. She and Nikolas found their way back to each other, so perhaps Liz and Lucky could, too. "I don't know what to do right now," Liz sighed. Later, the entire crew ended up at Wyndemere to celebrate Spencer's homecoming.

At Metro Court, Sam offered to help Alexis with her legal problems, but Alexis told her daughter there was nothing she could do. Meanwhile, Alcazar and Mr. Craig worked out a deal for the "product." Later, Mr. Craig continued to plot...At the end of the episode, Sam went to the hospital for a checkup to make sure she wasn't reproductively challenged. Unfortunately, she was.

Carly warned Sonny never to kiss her again. "This marriage is a technicality!" she reminded her once-again hubby. Sonny tried to woo Carly, but Alexis interrupted the duo, requesting that Carly testify on her behalf for the pot problem. Carly agreed. After Alexis left, Sonny smiled, "You can be truly magnificent." Later, Sonny had an incriminating conversation with his lawyer. Unfortunately, Carly overheard Sonny say, "The case against me can't be dropped. I can't give Carly an excuse to leave me."

Pete and Patrick chatted at a strip club, while a drunk Robin, Lainey and Kelly were handcuffed at the PCPD. Seems the ladies were arrested after drunk Robin got into a fight. Meanwhile, Pete tried to enjoy the...umm, environment, but Patrick was obviously uncomfortable. He was in love with Robin. Patrick eventually called Robin but got a surprise when Mac answered. Later, Mac freed Lainey and Kelly, but demanded his niece stay at the station. Robin quickly got a case of "beer tears" and got all weepy when talking to Mike about her relationship with Patrick. She revealed she was in love, but devastated that Patrick went to a strip club to par-tay. Later, Patrick arrived at the PCPD to post Robin's bail. One problem: Robin wasn't about to leave with him.

Helena, brandishing what appeared to be one of the Daggers of Meggido (specially designed for slaughtering an infant in church in The Omen), threatened to kill Spencer rather than return him to Nikolas and Emily. Emily offered herself as hostage in exchange for the child. Apparently recalling what happened to Gregory Peck in The Omen, Helena assented. But feisty Emily broke free and Helena fled. Nik gave chase, but Helena escaped. Nik reunited with his son and vowed he would never do another Christmas pageant.

Michael wanted Carly and Sonny to "act like a family." Carly banished the kids upstairs and told Sonny he can't move in. He warned her that something big and dangerous was about to happen. (A mysterious man was seen carrying a metallic valise). "Jax is better for me," she said. So Sonny left.

Sam assured Lucky that everything would be perfect for his dinner with Elizabeth. Meanwhile, Jason wondered why Liz wanted to talk about a hypothetical child. "Maybe your child does exist," she said. Jason was puzzled, so Liz covered by suggesting maybe Sam's pregnant already. He asked what she's hiding from Lucky. She said she can't figure how to tell Lucky she can't be with him, and wondered if having dinner with him was a mistake. Meanwhile, Sam pointed out that everyone makes mistakes, and Liz will forgive him. Then the manager asked Sam to get Carly's signature on an insurance waiver. Lulu ran into Lucky at his table and he showed her a diamond ring — he's going to ask Liz to marry him again. Later, Carly signed the waiver that Sam brought to her house. Carly explained why she married Sonny, but Sam wondered if Jax would buy that explanation. When Liz arrived at Metro Court she ran into Cruz in the lobby. He warned her that any major disappointment could make Lucky crash and burn. When Liz was seated, a bouquet of daisies was delivered, and they reminisced. Then he said he's looking to the future.

Alcazar told Skye this shipment is his ticket out of the mob life, but it's dangerous. Then he got the call to pick up the shipment. Skye pointed out that he can't defend himself, so she's going with him as backup. Alcazar admitted that even he doesn't know what he's receiving. (Does anyone?) Meanwhile, Jason and Sonny discussed Alcazar's special shipment — and Carly's anger. Sonny asked him to convince Carly to bring the kids to Sonny's place to keep them safe. Later, Alcazar arrived at Metro Court and ran into Max. He was immediately suspicious of why Sonny's top man was "stationed" there. But then the courier arrived with the briefcase. Skye tried to distract Max (who was already busy reading a newspaper). Alcazar pressed some buttons as an ominous red light flashed on the valise. He passed it to the manager to be put in the state-of-the-art vault, from which he swore it could not be stolen.

As soon as Jason arrived at Carly's she deduced why he was there and stormed off to confront Sonny. Sam volunteered to stay and watch the kids with Jason. Carly wondered would Sam would be so opened-minded if Liz were pregnant with Jason's baby? Later, Carly blasted Sonny for sending Jason to manipulate her. But...if Sonny swears the danger is real she'll bring the kids over. Sonny promised that Alcazar is in way over his head. She begged him to promise not to try anything romantic. "The horse is dead; stop beating it," she said. "We both know nothing's dead between us," he replied, adding, "You love me." "I love Jax," she whispered. Sonny said what they have is a lot stronger, and, "Just like me, you can't let it go." Then they kissed. Meanwhile, Michael told Jason they're moving back in with his father because, "They love each other."

Lucky offered Liz the ring, and asked, "Will you marry me?"

Emily and Nikolas wondered why Helena brought Spencer to St. Petersburg. Nik tried bribing Helena's men, but when while he was reminiscing about the old Cassadine castle, Nik realized what Helena was planning. They rushed to a church, where they were lucky enough to arrive just as Helena was getting Spencer baptized as "Nikolai Nikolaevich." (Is Helena a World War I buff? Grand Duke Nikolaevich commanded the Russian army.) Nik interrupted, declaring, "My son's name is Spencer."

Skye stopped Alcazar from leaving the hospital to meet his shipment. He agreed to try to delay it. When Ric visited, Alcazar accused him of poisoning his IV. Ric said he's pursuing a case against Sonny, but his brother will get off because they found the woman who planted the gun for Alcazar. Ric wondered why Alcazar and Sonny have suspended operations. Skye demanded Ric stop questioning her husband. Alcazar mentioned the evidence he still has against Ric; Ric played dumb. Later, Alcazar made the call, but his contact refused to redirect the shipment. Alcazar said if this shipment fails, he'll be dead.

Lucky invited Elizabeth to dinner at Metro Court as a new beginning for them. Later, Liz took a message for Epiphany from one Tyrell Quinn. Epiphany said he's the father of her son who ran out on her. Lucky and Cruz staked out the waterfront, where Lucky said Liz still cares for him. Cruz warned him to take it slow. Later, Liz found Jason at the same spot. He told her he feels guilty for talking Carly into marrying Sonny. Liz said you can't control love — or for whom you feel it. They wondered what it means to commit to someone who betrays you, and what if both parties break their vows? Jason said everybody makes mistakes. Liz declared that a child deserves the best possible life, and asked Jason if that's what he wants for his child.

Carly was disgusted that Sonny had Max making coffee as punishment for being loyal to Carly. She vowed to divorce him the second he's legally in the clear. Then Carly offered Max a job. Later, Max showed up at Metro Court and told Sam he's the new head of security. Back at Sonnybucks, Carly continued to excoriate Sonny, who said she and Max were wrong to take his kids to Aspen, and asked what makes her think the marriage won't last? A furious Jason told them both to work it out for the sake of the children. At Metro Court, the manager was concerned that Max wasn't polished enough for Metro Court. Sam warned him that Carly really wants Max to work there (and she knows this...how?). Meanwhile, Carly admitted she may have overreacted, but Sonny went overboard for their wedding. Carly revealed she hasn't told Jax about the marriage yet. Then she declared she won't live with Sonny. Carly went to Metro Court, where she was shocked to see Sam working, but told the manager to take care of her. Sam said she doesn't want special treatment. But Lucky did — he wanted to do something special for Liz. Lucky tossed his pills in the trash just before Sam returned to report that she's made some romantic arrangements for him. Carly returned to her home, only to discover that Sonny had moved in.

Pete was horrified to learn that Patrick reordered the couch and had matching furniture — obviously Robin's "evil" influence and a prelude to her moving in. Robin appeared and said she already lives here. Patrick told Pete he convinced Robin to move in. Pete fled. At GH, Robin told Noah she's Patrick's roommate; Noah was thrilled. Pete returned, this time intending to take Patrick to Las Vegas for 48 hours of drinking, gambling and strippers — to test Patrick's resolve. Robin eavesdropped, then burst in and told him to go. Noah arrived with a housewarming present and best wishes for him and Robin to marry one day. Patrick exploded at being told what to do. Robin scolded Patrick, who responded, "Pete and I are going to Vegas." Robin called Lainey and told her they're going on a road trip.

Maxie flounced into Kelly's on a date with Cruz, which pushed Lucky's buttons. Cruz said he's not getting involved with Maxie. Lucky looked at his bottle of pills. Georgie scolded Maxie for trying to recreate her relationship with Jessie "by sleeping her way through the PCPD." Later, Lucky and Cruz investigated a purse snatching at Metro Court. Maxie was a witness, so Lucky pulled her aside. She said she's just trying to move on. A manager told Cruz the hotel has an impregnable vault, not a safe.

Monica lectured Alan that he should be grateful for her saving him grief over Rick Webber. Lulu and Dillon wondered if Monica was covering for Alan — or somebody else. Lulu went in search of Spinelli to research Rick Webber's gambling debts, while Dillon approached Alan. Dillon broached the subject awkwardly, but said, given the chance he'd "squash Rick Webber like a bug."

Diane visited Alexis to counsel against fighting her drug possession charges. Alexis wanted to get the "stupid laws" against medical marijuana overturned. Jason told Sam about Sonny letting Alcazar's shipment go through. Jason grabbed Spinelli to research Alcazar's shipment just before Lulu arrived looking for him. Spinelli said Lulu was trying to determine if Jason's mom or dad offed Rick Webber. Jason told her he doubted his parents did it. Lulu wanted to prove her mother innocent so that maybe she'll come back. Jason told her his own brain damage cannot be reversed, and neither can Laura's. Lulu admitted she needs to know for herself. Spinelli told Jason Alcazar is moving something small — something easy to steal.

Later at Kelly's, Lulu found Dillon, who told her Alan is still mad at Rick Webber. Still later, Alan told Monica that Dillon knows she was having an affair the summer Rick Webber died. She asked if Dillon can prove "what you did." Alan was shocked when she said, "I've known all along that you killed Rick Webber." Monica said she was going to end it with Rick that night, but Laura showed up. She saw Alan's car and assumed Alan killed him. Alan saw Monica's car and assumed she did it. Since neither of them did it, and Laura didn't do it, "Who did?" Lulu admitted to Dillon that clearing Laura's name is more about herself than her mother. Spinelli arrived and told them he discovered that Rick was getting a major payoff, so he must have been blackmailing someone. At Shadybrook, a nurse told a mysterious caller that Laura briefly came back. The caller was coming to Shadybrook. Sam felt bad for introducing Alexis to pot, and made Jason promise not to use any child they have as a weapon against her.

Robin turned down Patrick's offer to move in, "because it's not what you really want," she reasoned. Patrick explained that he'd had a change of heart since claiming he didn't want to shack up, and accused her of being the one who was afraid of committing. Patrick put his apartment key in Robin's hand. "Use it, or don't," he instructed. Robin showed up at Patrick's with a bottle of wine to discover that he had already rearranged his furniture without her. Banter about furniture and throw pillows turned into sex and pillow talk. "I couldn't imagine you not in my life," Patrick flattered. Robin agreed to move in with him and threw the ugly throw pillow off the couch.

At the hospital, Maxie asked to borrow Georgie's necklace for her job interview. Epiphany chewed out Maxie for stirring up trouble with Elizabeth, but Maxie defended that if Elizabeth was as good as people thought, she would have stood by Lucky. Georgie begged Epiphany not to kick Maxie out of the volunteer program. At Metro Court, Sam threatened Father Ruiz, who arrived to pick up items from the hotel vault. Sam refused her manager's order to apologize. Sam offered to swap shoes with Maxie, who had a broken heel for her interview at the Metro Court boutique. Unfortunately, Sam caused a ruckus when her broken shoe caused her to fall into a guest's lap. Someone called the hotel looking for Angela Monroe and Sam ordered Tracy to get rid of the pictures of the mystery woman. Maxie landed the job at the boutique and bought Sam new shoes to say thanks. The manager gave Sam a coin collection to put in the vault, while he took a call from Alcazar who was looking for a secure place to store something valuable.

Alexis was arrested for drug possession as a distraught Kristina watched. Meanwhile, Sonny's lawyer Diane warned that Ric had a good chance of gaining custody of Molly. Diane claimed that they should play up Alexis' cancer at the trial and asked Sonny to stay away from Alcazar because of the attempted murder charges pending against him. Alexis' nanny called and told Sonny about the arrest. Alexis was brought into the station and Sonny and Diane showed up soon after. Alexis worried that she didn't have the energy to go to trial and had no choice but to compromise with Ric. Sonny warned Ric that Molly would hate him for his treatment of his mother. Alexis returned home and promised Kristina that they would get through this difficult time together. Ric arrived and Alexis agreed to shared custody, but Ric wanted full custody of his daughter instead. He told Alexis that she could either go through the formality of a trial or sign custody away and enjoy that time with Kristina — she would lose Molly either way.

Jason realized that a sniper had tried to take out Sonny, so he went to Alcazar's room and demanded to know who Alcazar was working with. Alcazar claimed that he didn't know the identities of his partners. Jason ordered Bernie to buy the building the sniper had used to try to shoot Sonny. Jason told Sonny about the threat to their lives and Sonny reasoned that they should remain above the fray and allow Alcazar's shipments to go through.
