GH Recaps Week of February 5, 2007Friday, February 9, 2007 Mac yelled at Ric for not following the proper chain of command. Mayor Floyd threatened to send in a team to take the hostages by force if they were not freed in an hour. Meanwhile, Sonny and Carly tried to escape but found Lulu being held at gunpoint in the hallway. Sonny was forced to hand over his gun by one of the captors. In a room, Emily and Nikolas tended to Alan, who Emily believed needed serious medical attention, not just the aspirin she could provide. In the lobby, Sam held Mr. Craig at knifepoint. Mr. Craig reminded that all of the hostages would likely die without him, and Sam reluctantly gave him the knife. Mr. Craig accused Liz of being dramatic when she suffered from stomach pains. Sonny, Carly and Lulu were returned to the lobby. Mr. Craig took Sam to the room where Emily and Nikolas were caring for Alan, and forced the three to leave while he had time alone with Sam. Mr. Craig roughly pulled off Sam's jacket and realized she wouldn't have protested if he tried to rape her, though he explained that sexual assault was not part of his plan. He admired her self-preservation. With Mr. Craig gone, one of the thugs provided Emily with a defibrillator, which she used on Alan. This displeased the mastermind when he returned with Sam. Hearing a helicopter overhead, Mr. Craig called Ric and ordered him to send the helicopter away or else he would shoot Liz. Ric wanted Mr. Craig to send Liz out. "What's in it for me?" Mr. Craig wondered. Ric revealed to the mayor that Liz would be released, but Mayor Floyd ordered the SWAT team sent in when a hostage was let out. Mr. Craig offered Emily a choice of who would be released: Liz or Alan. Spinelli cracked the code to gain access to the hotel air ducts. He provided Jason with a map of the airshaft and they set up radio communication so that Jason could find the lobby with Spinelli's guidance. After some instructions, Jason looked down through the ceiling grate and spied the hostages in the lobby. With orders from Mr. Craig to kill Sonny, one of the thugs took the mob boss into the room where Spinelli was hiding.
Maxie talked about her family life with Three and confided that she was the family disaster. She recounted the tangled mess with Lucky. "You're way more interesting than I thought," Three flattered.
Thursday, February 8, 2007 At Metro Court, Lulu and Liz informed a groggy Robin she'd been shot. Outside, Patrick told Ric that Robin's running out of time and Ric told him to keep his pants on: There are other hostages to worry about! Emily switched places with Lulu. Then, Em and Elizabeth told Robin they'd stuck her together with duct tape (Jeff Webber would be so proud) and Carly (of all people!) had helped. Our hospitably homicidal host then dragged Nikolas off to hang out with Alan. Nikolas told the doc about Robin's operation. Outside, Pervy Pete was surprisingly supportive as Patrick updated him. Meanwhile, Robin was suffering but Craig wouldn't let Liz search the gift shop for pills. Lulu suggested they get Robin drunk on conveniently placed vodka. Despite Emily's warning that it would dehydrate her after her blood loss, Robin was all for it! Patrick admitted that Robin was "everything to me," while a buzzed (or dying) Robin wondered who would take care of him after she's gone. Nearby, lecturing Nikolas about Emily left Alan literally gasping for breath. Then, Patrick and Robin movingly praised each other to their friends (making the recapper reach for the tissues). Liz urged Robin to "choose life," rather than bequeath Patrick to the likes of Carly. Emily and Nikolas realized Alan's condition was looking grave. Sam tried to slip Mateo the knife from Robin's surgery and convince him to go back to his pre-priestly murderous ways. Of course, Craig walked up and Sam covered by kvetching about her companion's resemblance to Manny. At the coffee warehouse, Jason told Spinelli he'd promised the kids he'd get their parents out safely. Speaking of those devils, Sonny and Carly exchanged their typical sweeps-staged "I love you"s and kisses. In the lobby, Craig creepily petted Sam's hair and silkily wondered if Mateo was ever "tempted" by his "base instincts." Answering "no" earned the padre a thwap. Back at PC's Best Coffee, Spinelli and Jason tested out a snazzy comm device and then Mike furnished Jason with hotel blueprints. Back at MC, Carly and Sonny rehashed their vicious cycle. Sonny claimed he was "different" this time. Carly wasn't pleased by his soul baring (just mesmerized). Fortunately, Craig interrupted to make skeevy handcuff jokes and demand Sonny arrange his escape. Ric arrived with a warrant keeping Jason from the hotel just as Sonny called him with instructions. Ric summarily tore up the warrant, wishing Jason good luck (and a speedy death) as long as the hostages survived. Of course, Craig's request was bogus and meant to distract any listening cops. He left Sonny and Carly alone to sing a few bars of "Reunited." A masked man interrupted the duet and S&C teamed up to overpower him. Back outside, Ric called off the SWAT team so Jason and Spinelli could infiltrate a back entrance. As the hour drew to a close, Elizabeth began cramping and Lulu leapt to get water. Craig wasn't pleased by her moving around. Mercenarial Sam used the distraction to go all Rambo and hold the bloody, HIV-infected knife to Craig's throat.
Wednesday, February 7, 2007 Jason worked with Spinelli to plan an attack on Metro Court. Spinelli volunteered to go with him to provide logistical support because feared for Lulu's safety. He asked whom Jason will rescue first — Sam? Liz? His dad? Suddenly, Jason got a call from Michael, who was worried because he saw the hostage crisis on TV. Jason returned home to promise Michael he will rescue his parents. Lulu was locked in with the beaten Sonny, who praised her courage. Sonny said it was a mistake for Carly to get involved with him. In the lobby, Mr. Craig questioned Elizabeth's fitness as a mother, but allowed her to assist Carly and Emily with Robin, who was squirting HIV-positive blood everywhere. Patrick guided Liz over the phone as she sewed Robin's gushing artery. Craig took the phone away and stopped the medically trained women from closing their patient, ordering Carly to close alone. A determined Carly succeeded. Outside, Ric tried to pump Patrick for information about what he heard over the phone when Skye interrupted to accuse Patrick of malpractice for rushing Alcazar's operation. Inside, Liz and Sam were allowed to bandage Robin while Craig tossed Carly in with Sonny and pulled Lulu out. Carly started to freak a little, afraid that if Robin dies she will be accused of killing her on purpose. Sonny told her to use a paper clip to get cuffs off him. While cleaning up the HIV-contaminated operation site, Liz spotted the knife and passed it to Sam, who hid it. Craig returned with Lulu and threatened Sam and Liz. Then he rearranged the hostages, placing Sam next to Father Mateo. Outside, Mac thanked Patrick for risking his career and life to help Robin. Inside, Lulu and Liz watched over the sleeping Robin. Liz said Robin needs a blood transfusion, but she won't get one. Lulu cautioned Liz to take care of herself and her baby. Sam told Father Mateo she used to resent Liz for being able to bear a child. He assured her that's a human reaction. Skye returned to Alcazar's bedside to pray that the hostages — her family — make it out alive. But Alcazar and Milo are her family now, so she'll make sure that Alcazar is not blamed, no matter what happens to the hostages. Sonny decided to play possum and surprise the guards. But first, he told Carly he was wrong to trick her into getting back with him, and admitted he didn't want her to love Jax because he wanted her to love him. He considers her his wife, his partner, his everything. "I love you and I always will," he confessed. In the lobby, as Craig watched over the hostages, Liz said Robin's pulse was steady, but it was too soon to tell if she will live. Sam asked Father Mateo, "Do you know how to use a knife to fight? What about to kill?" (As if all ex-cons know how to use shanks!) "I used to," he admitted. (Ooops!) "What about now?" Sam asked. Outside, Patrick prayed that God will let Robin live. In the lobby, Robin suddenly moaned Patrick's name and tried to get up, but then she cried out and collapsed in pain.
Tuesday, February 6, 2007 At Metro Court, Mr. Craig ordered Sam to put on a jumpsuit and mask to make her look like one of them. Patrick approached the entrance of the hotel and offered his services to save "the woman who has been shot." Mr. Craig threatened to kill Robin if Patrick didn't leave. Carly suggested that Patrick could tell one of them how to treat Robin. Mr. Craig agreed, and chose Carly. He ordered Carly to pick one assistant. She chose Emily. In another room at Metro Court, Emily cried for help while Alan suffered from his heart attack. Alan encouraged her to leave him and get help for everybody while she still could. As Emily attempted to leave their room she was stopped by one of Mr. Craig's men. Mr. Craig entered and took Emily at gunpoint to help Carly save Robin. Patrick returned to tell Rick that he'd be walking them through Robin's treatment by phone. Outside, Alexis arrived at the police line, where Ric filled her in on what's been happening. Mr. Craig called Patrick, who began instructing Emily and Carly by giving them a list of supplies they would need. Mr. Craig ordered Nikolas and Sam to fetch the supplies. Nikolas and Sam returned with the supplies. Patrick began instructing Emily on what to do. With Carly's help, Emily made her first incision as Mr. Craig looked on, but when she nicked an artery Robin began to bleed out and Emily panicked. Mr. Craig ordered that Lulu take over minding Alan. Alan asked Lulu why she thinks he killed Rick Webber. Lulu explained her suspicions. Alan conceded his hatred for Webber, especially after he began an affair with Monica again a few years ago. Alan admitted he wanted to kill Rick but never got the chance; Rick was already dead before he could try. Alan said he believed that Laura might be innocent because he suspected that Monica had killed Rick. Alan wanted to tell Lulu about something he saw that night, but his symptoms worsened and Lulu told him to rest. Spinelli pulled up the blueprints of the hotel for Jason, who told him to work on overriding the hotel's security system so Mr. Craig and his goons won't know that Jason has entered. Spinelli realized he might be able to override the security system when the locks reset themselves at 11 p.m. Jason concluded that is when he will make his move to infiltrate the hotel.
Monday, February 5, 2007 Sonny told Emily that she had to keep quiet and not draw attention to herself. Lulu tried to slip away "for water." Craig decided to shoot Lulu in the leg. At that point, Carly made a scene and distracted the thugs. Carly begged that Emily be allowed to help Robin. Craig began fondling Emily's face before allowing her to tend to Robin. This upset Nikolas, so Craig put his machine gun in Nik's chest to keep him down. Lulu was now upset. Craig agreed to let Nik stay with Emily for about a minute. Sonny told Nik not to get the thugs upset. Lulu was assigned to help Max and Carly tend to Robin's bleeding. Craig dragged Emily away and asked her what she'd be willing to do to save Robin's life. Emily was brought in to see Alan and Elizabeth. Alan said he really had to go out there and save Robin's life. Elizabeth left to rejoin the group, while Emily tried to help her father. Alan said he was having a panic attack, and assured her he knows the difference between a panic attack and a heart attack. Outside Metro Court, Mac told Ric that Robin had been shot. Ric assured Mac he'd take it from there. Ric called Craig and asked if there was anything they needed. Patrick begged Ric to find out how Robin was doing. Meanwhile, Carly and Max were trying to make sure Robin didn't bleed to death. Craig told Ric that Robin was still breathing, but offered no other details. Patrick tried to get through to Craig and tell him what Robin needed, but Craig could not be bothered with such details and hung up on him. Carly insisted to a woozy Robin that she not die. At GH, Skye assured Monica that Alcazar has nothing to do with the hostages at Metro Court. An unbelieving Monica begged Skye to tell her what Alcazar's part was in the hostage crisis. Mac charged in and begged for information. Monica called Skye a "lying bitch." Mac said that if anyone dies at Metro Court because of Alcazar it would be on Skye's head. Skye woke Alcazar and tried to get him to talk. "Where am I?" he asked. Jason demanded Alcazar tell him the briefcase code. Alcazar was clearly hallucinating while talking to Skye and Jason. Much to their disappointment, Alcazar appeared not to know what they were talking about. Jason told Spinelli that he was going to take out as many of the gunman as he could and save the hostages. Jason said he was going to go in and attack them one by one. Spinelli thought he was nuts. The kid managed to get back online so he and Jason could watch the goings on inside Metro Court. Lucky had Luke arrested because he masqueraded as a SWAT team person. Emily screamed when Alan lost consciousness. Sam tore off the gunman's mask and Craig's face was revealed. "You shouldn't have done that," he sneered.
