GH Recaps Week of February 26, 2007

Patrick carried Robin into Mac's house, where she was to recover from her shooting. Robin fondly remembered the impact that Alan had on her life and wished she could have done more to have helped him. Just then, Mac, Maxie and Georgie entered and gave Robin hugs. As the family caught up on her condition, a thud was heard from upstairs. Georgie pointed out it sounded like it came from Maxie's room. Maxie said her space heater probably fell over. The girls went to check while Mac headed back to work. "No male overnight guests for my girls," he reminded. Upstairs, Maxie checked on Cooper, who'd been hiding in her closet, but the noise turned out to be her puppy, who left a "present" on Georgie's rug. Maxie gave Georgie a leash and shuffled her sister out of her room.
Downstairs, as Robin and Patrick quibbled, he admitted that he cried over her during the crisis. Robin was touched, then Patrick added that if she told anyone, he'd deny it. His concern finally got her to open up about her experience during the hostage ordeal, and how helpless she felt about not being able to help save Alan's life. "He was truly a gentle man," she cried. "He was so good to me ... I'm going to miss my friend." Robin had a good cry and felt better. Then, Patrick's phone rang. It was the lab with his HIV test results. Robin convinced a worried Patrick to answer the phone.
Upstairs, Cooper packed his bag to leave but Maxie advised him to stay, saying his best protection was to hide in plain sight.
At the Spencer house, Lulu told Dillon that Lesley was heading to the Q manse to offer her condolences. Dillon asked for a distraction and wanted to focus on the Rick Webber murder mystery. Just as he asked her about Scott, Baldwin entered. He expressed his condolences to Dillon about Alan, but Lulu cut to the chase and asked him what he knew about Rick's death. Scott gave his version of what happened with Theresa Carter's death and said he complied with Rick to keep Laura safe. Scott blamed Luke for Laura's condition. He left, and a registered letter came for Luke. it was from the Quartermaine's attorneys. Lulu opened the letter, much to Dillon's chagrin. It was from Alan. Just then, Scott returned, claiming he'd forgotten something.
Carly caught up with a devastated Jason, who told her his whole life has changed. She advised him to avoid misplaced guilt.
Jax went to visit Sonny at the coffeehouse, initially to talk about Ric's custody hearing, but the subject quickly changed to Carly. Just then, Carly entered. She didn't buy them saying that they weren't talking about. She informed Sonny that Michael got in trouble for fighting at school. Sonny met with Michael, who claimed he wasn't fighting. Michael then mentioned to his dad that Carly was planning to head to the Dominican Republic for a divorce.
Sam went to the hospital and apologized to Father Mateo for accusing him of being like Manny. He professed guilt about killing one of the mercenaries but Sam said he shouldn't feel bad — he helped save lives. She met up with Jason and told him that she now believes Mateo is a good man. When Jason brought up Alan, Sam confessed that Edward asked for her help in bringing Jason back to the Quartermaines. At the nurse's station, Epiphany pooh-poohed a lurking Elizabeth for still mooning over Jason. Afterward, Liz quietly thanked Jason for not saying anything about the baby's paternity.
At Metro Court, repairs had begun on the lobby, and Jax and Carly questioned the future of their relationship. Afterward, Jax warned Max that in order to keep his job, he had better not be a spy for Sonny. Max assured him that he no longer works for Corinthos — his loyalty is to Mrs. C. Just then, Maxie entered with Cooper and asked Jax to hire him to help with hotel security. Unfortunately, she referred to her friend as "Three."
Sam got a call asking her to come to New York for a TV interview about her heroic actions during the hostage crisis. She turned them down because it was the day of Alan's memorial. Jason, however, advised her to go, saying he'd be okay and she shouldn't miss such a wonderful opportunity. She reluctantly complied. As Sam flew to New York, someone repeatedly watched her newscast, with a man's photo and watch sitting in the background.

At Carly's house, Jax still couldn't get over the fact that Carly slept with Sonny. He said he could never hate her but she pointed out that, in the past, he loved her in spite of her flaws and he'd have to do that now or they'd have no future. Just then, Tracy arrived, banging on the door. "I can see you," she shouted when Carly didn't open it. Tracy barged in to talk about Lulu, and Jax slipped out. Tracy asked Carly to influence Lulu into dropping her investigation. Tracy feared that if Luke found out that Laura didn't kill Rick Webber, she went catatonic for nothing, which would devastate Luke. Carly was moved by Tracy's genuine concern for Luke.
Sonny showed up at the Q manse, where Edward accused Sonny of stealing Jason away from the family. Sonny said Jason was the one who wanted to make a new life for himself. Edward was relentless in blaming Sonny, in part, for Alan's demise. He spilled to Sonny that because of his crime-riddled lifestyle, Jason didn't get a chance to say good-bye to Alan. Edward then kicked Sonny out of the mansion.
After Elizabeth said yes to moving into the Spencer home, Nikolas stopped by to see a recovering Lulu and the sibs all had a catch-up visit. Lucky and Liz announced their plans to buy the house. Nik and Lulu were thrilled. The gang then discussed wedding planning. They settled on having a small service at the house.
Jason confessed to Sam about how bad he feels regarding his tattered relationship with Alan. Sam tried to ease Jason's pain but he couldn't accept her comfort. Sam had to visit Alexis and asked Jason not to focus on what he lost, but what he has done for so many others. She kissed him and left.
At the lake house, Alexis and Ric fought bitterly over the impending custody battle. Ric refused to drop the case and Alexis vowed that he'd never take her little girl away. "You selfish bastard," she screamed, pointing out that they'll be airing all their dirty laundry in public courtesy of the custody trial. She then almost literally threw him out. Later, Sam stopped by. She mentioned Jason's predicament with Alan and said she doesn't want the same thing to happen to them. She apologized for all the poor judgement she showed in the past and Alexis gave Sam the gift of forgiveness. Sam then told Alexis that she can't have kids and vowed that, since she can't be the best mom, she'd be the best daughter. Alexis vowed the women would work together and get past their differences. After she left, Jax dropped by and told her his plan to discredit Ric. Alexis asked him to back off, stating that if Ric lost his job, he'd focus on Molly even more.
Sonny went to the coffehouse where he saw Stan and asked him for a comprehensive outline of all of Alcazar's operations. Sonny went into his office, where Jason was waiting. "I heard about Alan," Sonny stated. You ok?" Jason recounted his activities to Sonny and how he was too late to talk with Alan before he died. Sonny was also unable to console Jason.
Carly visited the Spencers, where she was surprised to hear Lucky and Liz's news, but was glad that now Liz "would stop sniffing around Jason." She then spoke to Lulu and pointed out what her investigation could do to Luke.
At the PCPD, Lainey offered Ric a sympathetic ear. He opened up about the fact that he always plays the bad guy, but he truly wants to do what's best for his daughter, and that's being with her daddy.
Sam went to the mansion and offered Edward his condolences. He asked her to help bring Jason home to them.

On the bridge, Jason informs Elizabeth that Alan has died. Liz offers him
comfort, then breaks the news that she's fallen back in love with Lucky and
is going to marry him. In an emotional appeal, Elizabeth asks Jason to keep
her baby's paternity a secret and let Lucky raise the child as his own.
Jason doesnıt take the request very well, but Liz thinks that Lucky would
self-destruct if he learned the truth. Jason hesitantly agrees to do
whatever Elizabeth thinks is best for the baby. Afterward, Jason is
Privately conflicted over his decision not to raise his own child.
Jax is having a difficult time forgiving Carly's transgression. He visits
the lake house, where Alexis is thrilled to see him. Jax bolsters Alexisıs
spirits after she admits she will most likely lose custody of Molly to Ric.
She fills him in about her drug bust and subsequent arrest. He agrees to be
a character witness in her defense. Jax summons Ric and the mayor to the
PCPD and orders them to drop the custody suit, threatening to ruin their
careers by holding a press conference blaming them for botching the hostage
crisis and Alanıs death. After Jax leaves, Mayor Floyd warns Ric to keep Jax
under control or it will cost Ric his job.
Carly tells Michael that his grandfather has died. Due to their
estrangement, Michael is unsure how to feel about that. At the Q manse, old
habits die hard as Tracy and Monica spar over Alan's funeral arrangements.
Tracy scoffed at Monica's ability, spewing, ³Monica, just because you
married into a family with taste doesn't mean you have any.² In a good will
gesture, Carly goes to the Quartermaines offering to allow Michael to attend
Alan's memorial. Tracy lays into Carly, but Edward and Emily call for a
truce and accept her kind offer. Later, Alexis shows up to express her
condolences, just as Ned comes home and reunites with his family.
At the Spencer home, Luke and Scott go toe to toe when Luke finds him
questioning Lesley about Laura. Lesley manages to keep the boys in separate
corners. Scott leaves, and Luke warns Lulu not to trust Scott. After Luke
heads out, Dillon drops by with a treat for Lulu. There, she shares her
theory that Scott knows something about Rick Webber's murder. Lulu thinks it
would be best if she didn't tell Luke about her detective work. Luke arrives
at the Qıs, where they ponder why Scott returned to town. Tracy then asks
Monica not to mention Lulu's mission to prove Laura's innocence to Luke.
Monica agrees.
Carly returns home and is warmed to find Jax helping Michael deal with his
confusion over Alan's death. She then point-blank asks if he can forgive her
for sleeping with Sonny. Jax honestly doesnıt know if he can.
Alexis enters the lake house to find Ric waiting for her. ³I knew I should
have gotten the locks changed,² she sniffs. Ric asks her to drop the suit
he plans on winning. Alexis is confident Ric will choose his job over his
daughter.
Liz meets Lucky at the Spencer house. He suggests that after they remarry,
they buy the place and start their family there.

Carly hugged Jax when she saw him standing at her door but he'd heard what she said. "You had sex with Sonny?" he asked. Carly regaled Jax of the Metro Court hostage crisis, performing triage surgery on Robin and the explosion, but all he heard was that she had sex with Sonny. Despite her protests, "Nothing is a one-time thing with you and Sonny," he countered. Of course, that was nothing compared to his reaction when he found out that Carly and Sonny had married. That's when the arguing began. Just then, the boys interrupted with rounds of hugs for Jax. Jax brought the kids hats from his trip to Russia. Jax told Carly that he wasn't sure if he wanted to stick around any longer and said that the flowers were from him, not Sonny. Then, he left.
In Alan's room, Russell told Jason that only family was allowed. "I'm his son," Jason sadly replied. He spoke to Alan and explained his regret that he chose to pursue Mr. Craig when he should have stayed put at the hospital. He deeply resented that he wasn't there for his dad. He then sat down and told Alan that he's going to be a father, too. He spoke of his new insights into Alan due to his own impending child. "I know that you love me now. And I'm sorry," he sighed.
At the hospital, Emily broke the news of Alan's death to the family — and the fact that Jason didn't make it to his bedside in time. Monica and Edward were at least relieved that they got to let Alan know how much he meant to them and were devastated for Jason. Nikolas gave Emily his support. Alice and Dillon emerged from the elevator to get the sad news. Alice gave Monica a big bear hug and expressed her sympathy. Monica thanked Nik for being their for Em. Tracy explained her complex relationship with her brother to her son, and said she was afraid to live without him. Jason entered the hall, gave comfort to a grieving Skye and was the surprising recipient of sound advice about fatherhood from his grandfather, Edward.
On the Spencer porch, Lucky rejoiced in Elizabeth's news that she wanted to remarry. She was thrilled that she once again saw the man she fell in love with. "Then let's get married," he smiled. The happy couple went to G.H. and announced the news to a thrilled Lulu and Luke, who said that Laura would be very happy.
In the hospital hall, Jason apologized to Emily for not making it back in time. She said Alan's heart failed — he had nothing to be sorry for. "He loved us, Jason," she said. "Our dad loved us." They held hands tight. Monica returned to Alan's room, just as he was covered with a sheet. She said she had hoped she'd return to find him awake and ready to go home. She then uncovered his face and told her beloved, "I have always loved you, and I always will." Tracy told Dillon that because she made the mistake of never letting Alan know how much she loved him, she wasn't going to make the same mistake twice. Tracy told Dillon what a wonderful son he was, and they tearfully embraced.
At the Q mansion, Edward sat in the dark looking at photos of Alan. Skye entered and offered to take care of him and his needs in honor of Alan. He couldn't believe, "My boy is gone." Nik found Emily in Alan's empty hospital room, wishing it had all been a bad dream. Jason caught up with Monica back at the house. "I'm alright," she insisted, until she broke down and sobbed in Jason's arms.

At Sonny's house, Carly told the boys that she knows they're disappointed that their mom and dad aren't staying married, but as she originally said, she's going to marry Jax. Sonny excused the kids and told Carly that she still loves him. She stated that just because they made love, that doesn't mean they're meant for each other. She then pointed out their tumultuous history. "I'm asking you," he offered. "Don't leave." She begged Sonny to let her go and allow her to be happy. "My pain comes from living without you," he countered. Carly apologized, but left with the boys.
In his hospital room, Alan flatlined. After a few tense moments, Russell managed to get a pulse back, then wanted to speak to Monica alone. There, he told Monica to be honest with the family, Alan's dying — let them say their good-byes. Edward implored Lila to take care of their ailing son. Just then, Alan squeezed Edward's hand. Emily ran into Spinelli at the nurse's station and ordered him to retrieve Jason immediately. Monica sat down with Alan and confessed how much he has meant to her over the years. Then, she was so overcome with emotion that she left his bedside in tears. She finally confessed to Alan and Tracy that Alan's dying. She blamed herself for participating in his surgery, saying she's way too biased to have been in the OR. Emily sat with her father and asked him to wake up. She then thanked him for her life and his love. Edward and Em shared a poignant hug out in the hall.
Jason and Mr. Craig pinned each other down during a shoot out in the Metro Court restaurant. Jason got a shot off that clipped Craig. The villain vowed to make it out alive to his waiting helicopter. Just then, Spinelli burst in with the news that Stone Cold's pop just had another heart attack. Jason ordered Spinelli out. Craig then played on Jason's guilt about his dying dad. Jason ran out of the restaurant.
Finally reunited at the hospital, Lucky brought Elizabeth flowers and they talked about all their past baggage. He told Elizabeth that he wanted to cause no more pain and offered to back away and let her have the baby by herself. "Don't feel sorry for me," he said. "I've wasted too much time feeling sorry for myself." Lucky kissed her on the cheek and forehead and left. He returned to his childhood home and stared at his wedding photo.
Liz was surprised when Luke came to visit her. He told her Alan wasn't doing well, then admitted that Lucky told him he was walking away from her and the baby. He made no excuses for his son but admitted to Liz that Laura's forgiveness of him had made him a better man. It made him stop hating himself. Liz was discharged from the hospital and showed up at the Spencer home. She asked him, "Please don't give up on your dreams. Or me." She told Lucky that today she had seen the boy she fell in love with when she was 15 years old. She said she wanted them to trust each other again and that she wanted them to get married again. A tearful Lucky hugged her.
Carly was happy to return home with the boys. There was a knock at the door. It was a delivery boy with flowers: "Sorry for all of this. You will always have my heart," read the card. Carly sighed. Then came another knock. Shouting that one night of sex doesn't change things, she opened the door to.... Jax.
In the hall, Edward advised Tracy that the family should take Monica's advice. As Emily wept outside Alan's room, Jason ran in. The look on her face said it all. He was too late. Emily went and wordlessly broke the news to the family, while Jason nervously approached the body of his lifeless father and uttered, "I'm sorry."
