GH Recaps Week of May 14, 2007

Friday, May 18, 2007
Sam went through the motions of hosting her show. Amelia was confident a re-enactment of the night Sam killed Amelia's father will prove it was murder. Sam was uncomfortable as soon as the re-enactment started and begged off. Amelia pretended to be concerned about Sam being battered, but still talked her into going on with the show. As Sam took part, she flashed back to her real violent past. The actor did the same things — including chasing her with a fireplace poker. Sam suddenly hauled out a huge rifle — bigger than she is — and threatened to shoot him.

Jax asked Carly to give him time while he figures out what to do about Jerry/Craig. Meanwhile, Craig used civilians as cover to flee the gun-toting Jason. Logan burst into Sonny's office to warn him that Alcazar paid Vinny the barista to poison his espresso. Sonny extracted a confession from Vinny. Then Sonny asked Logan for all his intel on Alcazar. Logan revealed that Carly visited Alcazar's house and argued about Craig. Meanwhile, Alcazar argued with Skye over why Vinny recognized her; she claimed she had confrontations with Sonny while Alcazar was faking brain damage. Alcazar recapped feeling betrayed by Carly and Skye. She accused him of breaking their trust first. He invited her to Venezuela. Jason burst into Sonnybucks and recapped about Craig. Sonny recapped about Vinny and Logan. Sonny suggested she knows more about Craig than she's saying. Meanwhile, Carly feared Jerry will want revenge against the hostages because he lost a payday. Jax was sure there was still some humanity left in Jerry. Sonny went to Carly to demand an explanation. She said she wanted info about Craig. Sonny asked why she wanted info about Craig even before Sonny told her Craig is in town? Spinelli told Jason that Alcazar has been calling a new cell number: Craig's. Craig, meanwhile, called Alcazar to recap about Jason, and Alcazar assured him plans are afoot. When Spinelli realized Craig was headed for Carly's place, Jason sprang into action.

Maxie talked Coop into sticking around — as long as she keeps his deal to be Sonny's mole quiet. Logan suddenly burst in with news of saving Sonny's life again and earning a job with Sonny's organization. Maxie pointed out that Coop and Logan will be on opposite sides. Logan said that sounds like "fun."

Alan and Tracy argued over Luke's drinking. Alexis arrived to prep Luke's testimony. Tracy flipped when Alexis almost sat on Alan's lap. Jax arrived to ask Alexis' help for Jerry. Without knowing the details, Alexis said if innocent people have died, it will be "very, very bad" for Jerry, so Jax should avoid becoming an accomplice. Then Alexis started leading Luke through the questions Scott will ask — such as his run-ins with the law and his violent impulses. Then she asked if Luke ever forced himself on Laura. Tracy and Luke protested that it was ancient history, but Alexis insisted it is relevant and Scott has a right to bring it up.

Jax visited Sonny's office to tell the mobster he can contact "Craig" anytime he wants. "The man you know as Craig is really my brother, Jerry," he confessed. At that moment, Jerry broke into Jax's place, where Carly was hiding. Jason got the drop on him, but Carly threw herself in front of the villain, shouting: "You can't shoot him."

Coop tried to tell Maxie that he wasn't hiding anything, but Maxie guilted him into coming clean. Coop confessed that the man he met in the alley was Mr. Craig, who was blackmailing Coop. She wanted Coop to go to Sonny and Jason for protection, but Coop explained that Sonny and Jason already knew that he was one of the Metro Court hostage-takers and were in fact forcing him to pass on information from the police department — or die!

Jax told Jerry he must have been forced into taking hostages, but Jerry countered that he did it for the money. "The brother you love doesn't exist anymore," sneered Jerry. Jerry received a phone call from Coop and tried to leave Jax, but Jax threatened to turn his brother into the police. Jerry brandished his gun and Jax dared Jerry to shoot him. "I can't shoot you any more than you could turn me in," sniffed Jerry. Jax revealed that Carly already knew Jerry's identity, so if he wanted to live, he should leave town.

Carly told Alcazar that he owes her, but he puffed that he didn't owe her a thing. Alcazar then recounted all of the ways Carly had done him wrong. She threatened to tell Sonny that he didn't really lose his memory. Alcazar called Carly the worst mistake he ever made. "Right back at you," she spat on her way out the door. Once she was gone, Alcazar gave money to Vinnie, one of the employees at Sonny's coffee warehouse, to carry out the hit. Skye arrived home and Vinnie mused that she looked familiar. Skye pressed Alcazar and asked when she could see Lila Rae. He claimed that he couldn't let Skye see her daughter until he was certain she could be trusted. Alcazar accused Skye of using her shopping trip as an excuse to leave the house and wondered why Sonny's goon recognized her.

Jason and Skye spilled to Sonny about the planned hit. She begged Sonny to let her find her daughter before he sought his revenge on Alcazar. Sonny promised Alcazar was safe for the moment. Jason vowed to make Craig pay for killing Alan. Maxie showed up and told Jason that Craig was back in town and offered to help Jason find the Metro Court mastermind. Coop called Maxie and she announced to Jason that Craig had agreed to meet Coop on the docks in 15 minutes. Later, Maxie found Coop packing his bags to leave town so that she would be safe. Jason met Jerry on the docks and the men exchanged gunshots.

Carly returned home from Alcazar's to find Sonny sitting in her living room. Sonny demanded that Carly and the boys move in with him because Craig was in town and dangerous. Carly assured she was safe and besides, "if I go with you, I won't have a husband," she sniffed to Sonny. Jax arrived home and Carly announced to Sonny that she was staying with her husband. Carly warned Jax that Sonny would kill Jerry if he stayed in town. Meanwhile, Logan warned Sonny that Alcazar had paid Vinnie to poison him. Enter Vinnie with a cup of coffee for Sonny. Sonny asked Vinnie to drink the coffee himself and when he refused, Sonny announced that he knew about the assassination plot.

Sam lurked as Lucky and Liz snuggled baby Jake. Sam gave the new parents a gift for her baby, and when Lucky encouraged Sam to hold Jake, she got choked up. Lucky and Liz told Sam that Amelia asked them to bring Jake on EVERYDAY HEROES. Sam confronted Amelia about pressing to get Liz's baby on the show, but a crafty Amelia covered her true motives. Amelia plotted to make Sam relive the night she killed Amelia's father.

Skye overheard Alcazar arranging a hit on Sonny and Jason. Jerry visited Alcazar and demanded to know why Sonny and Jason weren't dead yet, but Alcazar promised the murders had been set up for that evening. Alcazar and Jerry nearly caught Skye eavesdropping, but she scampered off before they spotted her. When Jerry left, Skye got Alcazar's approval to buy some gifts for Lila Rae. Alcazar promised that her separation from her daughter would be over soon. When Skye left, Carly stormed in to speak to Alcazar, and Logan peered in through the window. Meanwhile, Skye pleaded with Jason not to kill Lorenzo until she found Lila Rae, and then spilled that Lorenzo was dealing with Mr. Craig.

Jason prepared Sonny's patented hangover cure for Sam after her hard night of drinking. After imbibing the cure, Sam felt better and decided to go to work. Jason revealed that Sam asked him the night before if he would rather be with the mother of his children or a TV host. Sam covered that she was simply upset that she would never be the mother of his children. When Sam arrived at work, she learned that the day's shoot had been cancelled because of her wild night of drinking. Amelia reminded Sam of all the baby secrets Sam spilled the night before. Sam asked her to keep the secrets. Amelia wondered why Sam didn't tell Jason that she knew about Liz's baby, but Sam believed the subject was better off closed. Sam went to see Jason's baby at the hospital.

Amelia harassed Elizabeth and Lucky in Liz's hospital room, pleading for the new mom to be on EVERYDAY HEROES, but they refused. Elizabeth wondered why Lucky was so hostile to Amelia, and Lucky explained he was simply upset that he wasn't there when she went into labor. Elizabeth claimed she should have listened to his warnings about her pregnancy. Nikolas and Emily arrived and Liz and Lucky told them the baby's name and asked them to be godparents. Nikolas and Emily happily agreed. Emily wondered if it was a coincidence that the baby shared Jason's initials, but Liz brushed off her concerns.

Jerry threatened Coop that he would name him as an accomplice if apprehended. Maxie arrived and wondered who Coop's friend was. Because Maxie hadn't seen Jerry's face, Coop covered by claiming that Jerry was an undercover cop. Maxie asked Logan if Coop ever lied, and Logan insisted he wasn't capable of it. When Coop surprised Maxie at the hospital, she refused to go anywhere with him until he told her why he was acting strangely.

Jax bristled when Carly suggested that Jerry should disappear. Jax wanted to know the motivation for Jerry's disturbing actions. She told Jax that she couldn't understand the man Jerry had become because he wasn't there for the terrifying hostage crisis at Metro Court. Jason arrived and asked to talk to Carly. Jax got a call from Jerry and lied to Carly and Jason that he had to leave for business reasons. Jason asked Carly what trouble Jax was in, but she refused to tell. Meanwhile, Jax met Jerry on the docks.

Jax confirmed that Carly's photo showed Jerry after plastic surgery. Jerry/Craig, meanwhile, ordered Alcazar to kill Sonny and Jason (as Skye eavesdropped). Jax tried to defend his brother, which angered Carly. She insisted Jerry must pay, so she's calling Jason. Jax feared calling in Jason would mean someone will die, but Carly was cool with Jerry getting croaked. Jax asked Michael and Morgan to keep Jerry's presence a secret from everyone. Carly told Jax she's not going to protect Jerry/Craig. Alcazar refused to let Skye see Lila because he still doesn't trust her. Later, Jerry ran into Alexis, who was crying in the park. He tried to comfort her when she said "optimist" Jax made a bad mistake by marrying Carly. Jerry was shocked that Alexis and Jax never consummated their marriage, and figured Alexis is jealous of Carly. Meanwhile, Jax wondered what he and Carly would have left if Jerry and/or Jason killed each other. He wanted a chance to confront Jerry. Carly said Jason deserves to be told because Jerry killed Alan. She suggested Jerry will always come between them.

Sonny strolled in the park with Kate, who offered to pay for the flash drive. But Sonny wanted her to play hopscotch. (We are not making this up!) Later at the café, Sonny balked at handing over the drive, instead demanding that she resurrect her Connie persona. She said back in the day all the girls thought he was a sexy bad boy; she thought he had a dark secret. He wondered if it would bother her "if" he were a gangster. She said Kate would be cool with it, but Connie might be sad. Kate served him cappuccino then called him one of the most powerful "alleged" crime figures on the East Coast. She wanted to know, "Is it my fault that you're in this life?" He said who knows, maybe they could have been married with kids by now — or broken up. He regrets some things, but he wouldn't trade his three kids for the world. He returned her drive, and she left, saying, "Bye, Dimples."

A drunken Sam told Jason he has to choose between the TV star (her) and "the mother of your child." She grew belligerent and Amelia advised them to take their scene outside. Meanwhile, at the hospital, Elizabeth told Lucky she wanted to name "their" son Jacob Martin (Jake for short). She claimed Jacob is a strong name, and Martin honors her mom's dad. Amelia watched Lucky wheel kid out. Jason brought Sam home, where she continued drinking and wondered how she ended up with him. When she passed out he took her upstairs. Later, as Sam eavesdropped, Spinelli arrived with news that Liz named the kid "after" Jason — or his initials, at least. Spinelli claimed Liz isn't being fair to Jason, but Stone Cold only cared about what's fair to his child — that, and the old Jason's-lifestyle-is-too-dangerous thing. Jason warned Spinelli not to tell Sam because it would kill her. Back at GH, Amelia approached Liz about doing a follow-up report on the Metro Court crisis, but Liz wasn't interested. Back at the penthouse, Sam pretended she didn't remember anything that happened after getting drunk.

Tracy was arguing with Alan's ghost at Metro Court when Luke arrived. She advised Luke to calm down or he will blow the Laura situation. She pointed out that Lulu doesn't know Luke raped Laura — and that's the first thing Scott will bring up in court. The rape and cover-up will make Luke and Laura's love story look like decades of abusing a battered wife. That would ruin Lulu's image of her parents.

Kate walked in on Sonny and Amelia getting down to business on his desk. Kate and Amelia realized they recognize each other and traded threats. Kate wanted her flash drive back and offered to buy it, but he declined. Sonny took her to the park, where he pondered the difference between employing strippers or fashion models. He insisted she's still Connie Falconer from Bensonhurst, but she insisted she's changed. She said it was an accident that she ran into Sonny the other night, and never wants to see him again. Sonny said he wants something in return for the drive.

After Jax punched him, Jerry returned the favor, saying, "Jerry Jacks is dead and gone." Meanwhile, Michael identified the man in Carly's photo as Jerry. The brothers started brawling, with Jax complaining that he almost lost Carly chasing him, then recapped everything that has happened between them. He demanded to know why Jerry had plastic surgery. Jerry said he's hiding from people who want to kill him. Jax figured out Jerry is in town on a job that went wrong. Jax brought up the warpaint story. Jax demanded to know why he dropped off the face of the Earth. Suddenly, a police officer — Coop, in fact — appeared and held the brothers at gunpoint. Jax explained that everything is okay because they're brothers. Coop eyed Jerry suspiciously. Jax marveled that the local cops didn't recognize Jerry. Jerry told Jax, "salvation is no longer an option for me." Then he apologized for hurting Jax and left. Carly summoned Jason then agonized over whether to tell him her horrible secret; she decided she couldn't. Then she tried to wheedle his secret out of him.

Sam eavesdropped as Elizabeth and Jason recapped that he is really the father of her baby. Jason wished there was some way to share custody as Sam teared up. Liz admitted she'd be afraid to leave their baby with him because his life is so violent. She begged him not to hate her. He said he could never hate the mother of his child. Sam made a beeline for a bar and ordered a "double anything." Jason told Liz to give their child the best life possible so that he never regrets his decision. Later, Amelia found Sam drinking in honor of Jason's new son. Drunk, she recapped for her boss about not being able to have kids, sleeping with her stepfather, and that Jason fathered Liz's child. Sam admitted she overheard the truth. When Jason arrived (Amelia summoned him), she called him "the one man in this whole world that I ever trusted."

Luke met Tracy for dinner. She was on the lookout for Scott, and asked Luke to try not to kill him in front of witnesses. He vowed Baldwin won't get the best of him. Lucky called Luke to invite him to visit his daughter-in-law and grandson. When Luke arrived, Liz said she draws maternal inspiration from Laura. Luke went to visit the baby. Lucky brought Liz a locket to hold baby pictures. Emily and Nikolas arrived and asked the baby's name. Back at the restaurant, Scotty told Tracy to get Luke to back off opposing his custody motion or else he'll spill all their secrets. Scott said he's motivated by pure revenge. Later he showed up at the hospital nursery to take photos and needle Luke.

Later, Jerry/Craig drew a gun on Alcazar and threatened to take his revenge for the Metro Court job. Jax came home and told Carly that Jerry apologized for the first time in his life, so things must be bad. They are, Carly said. "Jerry is James Craig."
