GH Recaps Week of May 28, 2007

Friday, June 1, 2007
Carly informed Jax of more staff being unsettled by Jerry and Jax assured Jerry wouldn't be an issue much longer. Naturally, this is when Jerry walked up. "I'm deeply wounded," he sighed, praising his and Jax's "brotherly love." Jax told him, "You have my full permission to leave town." Instead, Jerry met with Skye, interested in Lorenzo's governmental "get out of jail free card." He threatened to give Lila Rae away to a good home unless Skye ponied up, and noted that Jax changes wives "like neckties." He should've been more charitable, considering Jax was simultaneously defending him to Ric. When Ric brought up Carly's suffering at Craig's hands, Jax called him a hypocrite. The panic room reminder didn't stop Ric from making a point about Jax always cleaning up Jerry's messes, though. Jax pretended to be unruffled and walked off. Later, Jax assured Carly he wouldn't go to jail along with Jerry and Jerry snuck into a lab in search of his DNA samples.

Amelia raved about EVERYDAY HEROES' rising ratings with her henchman. "Wes, it could make my career!" she boasted, vowing to keep Sam's secrets for now. At GH, Kelly suggested in vitro fertilization and a surrogate mother. Sam realized Jason might not be into donating his sperm. Amelia called Carly down to the studio and Carly weighed in on Sam's general uselessness in the actual crisis but assured Amelia that "there was nothing staged," and sidestepped her questions about Jerry/Mr. Craig. Sam dropped by the coffeehouse to apologize to Jason for going baby crazy and resolved to focus on what she "can" have versus "can't." She asked her lying live-in to "stay honest with your feelings." Later, she beamed at Amelia that she would be a mom this time next year — via surrogate. Problem: she hadn't run this idea by Jason yet. "You may be expecting a little too much," Amelia warned.

At GH, Robin bristled at Patrick mentoring a student nurse. He chided that her insecurities were showing. Later, Emily zoned out when Patrick tried to help her study and he asked whether or not it was appropriate for him to treat beautiful women. Emily chuckled, noting his "pleasant reads as flirting." Then, Scotty arrived wondering about the experimental drug that woke Laura. Patrick basically told him to butt out and Robin said she'd notify Laura's family about any new miracle drugs, not Scotty. This accord led Robin and Patrick to discuss their personality differences.

Kate was having a statue delivered via helicopter and Sonny asked Jason to shoot it down with those mad hitman skillz of his. "Call Diane or call the cops!" Jason sputtered, before making the shot. With rather dubious logic, Ric pointed out that being Elizabeth's husband would make Lucky an ideal candidate to clap the cuffs on Jason for Lorenzo's murder. Crabby Kate stormed over to get Sonny to admit he'd shot down her property and Jason realized they have a past. Sonny made the requisite introductions. Jason, wisely, made himself scarce as Kate blasted Sonny. Cue a couple of rounds of the Connie Falconeri vs. Kate Howard debate. At GH, Lucky caught up with Elizabeth and Jake. He thanked Elizabeth for giving him such a precious gift and revealed he was waiting on a warrant. Later, Sonny ended up asking savvy decorator Carly about where to find 18th century statues. Amused Carly promised to find the "perfect statue" for Kate. Back at Ric's office, Ric and Lucky informed Skye of Jason's imminent arrest. When Lucky left, Skye called Ric on his duplicity. Back at Sonny's, he mused to Milo about lifting the helo injunction and Kate got caught in his sprinkler. Meanwhile, Lucky's faithful wife brought Jake to the coffeehouse and then seemed surprised when Jason emerged from the back room — despite just having told her infant they would be frequenting Real Daddy's workplace. Elizabeth updated Jason on Jake and let him hold the tyke. Of course, this is when Lucky walked in. He soberly asked Jason to hand the baby back and sighed, "You're under arrest for the murder of Lorenzo Alcazar."

Luke insisted that Lulu hear the truth about the rape from him. He called Laura and her fiancé, Scott, an All-American couple. Luke loved her at first sight, so he hired her at his club. One night she found him alone, drinking and considering suicide. When he asked her to dance she got frightened and tried to leave, but it was too late. "She was saying 'No,' but I couldn't hear her," he said. "There's no nice way to put it. I raped her." Laura ran away and made up a story about an anonymous attacker. Lulu realized her mother cared about him no matter what he did. They went on like nothing happened because that's the way Laura wanted it. They made a life together. Lucky found out the same way — from someone who wanted to hurt him. Luke noted there could be no excuses. "I committed an act of violence," he admitted. "I'll spend the rest of my life trying to make up for that." He added that Laura refused to be victimized by what happened and forgave him. "I'm glad that Mom was able to forgive you," Lulu said and walked away.

Elsewhere, Jerry told Carly he loved Irina, but "love is disposable, survival isn't." He doesn't give a "holy damn" about anything. Later, Lulu ran into Carly in the park and told her, "Love is an open invitation for someone to hurt you." She got angry that Carly knew about the rape. Lulu could not understand why her mother forgave her father. Carly said no one can know Laura's thoughts. Carly added that love can also be positive. Elsewhere, Luke asked Elizabeth if he was wrong not to tell Lulu earlier. She said making choices about what to keep secret from your kids is part of parenthood.

Spinelli reported to Sonny, who poured him a scotch and asked about Jason's "secret pain." Meanwhile, Sam suggested using a surrogate to have a child, but Jason refused. Sam accused him of not being fair and insisted they won't make it as a couple unless they are parents together. She said she now sees how selfish he's been. Spinelli tried to cover for Jason by recounting a story about Zeus, but Sonny threatened to make him spill his guts. Sam told Amelia about Jason. Amelia asked if this was love or co-dependence? Sam insisted it was real love. Before Spinelli could spill, Jason showed up. Spinelli covered for Sonny and fled. Sonny said he asked Spinelli what's going on, since Jason doesn't trust him anymore. Jason said he had a fight with Sam, then left. Later, Carly knocked before entering Sonny's office. He guessed she was upset about Craig/Jerry. He's willing to not kill Craig — yet — because it would hurt her. He told her she can talk to him anytime. Jason returned to the penthouse, where Spinelli explained he hadn't betrayed him. He suggested telling Sonny, but Jason balked. Jason mentioned trouble with Lulu and Spinelli took off.

Lulu apologized to Liz for judging her. Liz told her one more ugly truth: She was raped at 15. That was the impetus for Lucky learning about Laura's rape. She said the people you love are not always perfect, so you need forgiveness. Laura forgave Luke, and someday Lulu will, too. Luke thanked Scott for liberating him from the fear of the rape coming out. Lucky found Lulu, who didn't want to talk. Then she ran into Spinelli. She still didn't want to talk, but he offered to just be there for her. She smiled and rested her head on his shoulder.

When Sam returned to the penthouse she told Jason she's angry at Fate and not being able to give him children, but she will never give up on them. "Neither will I," he replied.

Sam decided to picnic right next to Elizabeth and the kids, which prompted Liz to beat a hasty retreat. "Did you do this on purpose?" Jason demanded. She asked why Liz is so uncomfortable around him, but he covered. Sam went to Kelly's to tell Amelia how the picnic went. Sam said she thinks Jason was "just going along with Elizabeth" by hiding a "child that should be ours."

Maxie visited Coop and told him Craig is really Jerry. Meanwhile, at Metro Court, Carly warned Jerry that Jason will kill him eventually. Logan interrupted Coop and Maxie with the news that he works for Sonny now. He wants Coop to remain friends, but look the other way. Coop got a call from Jerry to meet him in the park. Jerry demanded that Coop to find out how the police DNA tests are going. Jax warned Carly that if Jerry hurts her, he'll have to kill his brother. Back at the room, Logan told Maxie he will be around when she gets tired of "good ol' boy" Coop.

Scott badgered Nikolas into claiming that he had a "recollection" about Oct. 5, 1979, when Luke raped Laura — even though he wasn't born until several years later. Lulu was stunned. Nik leaped off the stand and punched Scott. Scott told the judge that allowing Laura's rapist free access to her demonstrated that Nik is an unfit guardian. Alexis ignored the textbook hearsay "testimony" to tell the judge that Luke and Laura have dealt with the rape issue and Scott should honor Laura's written choice of guardian. The judge dismissed the hearing to review the evidence. Lesley told Scott she cannot forgive him for devastating Lulu. Nik apologized to Luke, who told him not to sweat telling the truth. Bobbie slapped Scott across the face. Lulu fled to Jason's penthouse, where she asked Jason if it was true. Jason balked at answering. Lulu wondered, "How can a man do that to a woman he loved?" She couldn't believe her mother married him and had kids. Some secrets should remain secret. Lulu ran to the dock and broke down. Meanwhile, Lucky told Liz about the hearing, and vowed they should not keep secrets that would destroy their children's world. Luke found Lulu, who asked, "Did you rape my mother?" He hesitated, but answered, "Yes." Meanwhile, Lucky told Liz that keeping devastating secrets changes people.

Ric pressed Mac to analyze the digital recorder found at Alcazar's home. Alexis told Jax that the DNA test proved Jerry was at Metro Court before the siege, but not necessarily that he's Craig. She offered to defend him because she loves Jax — and she saw a "flicker" of something good in Jerry. (Like she's any judge of men.) She suggested something horrible happened to him to make him this way. Conveniently, Carly ran into Jerry in the park, who told her that something horrible happened to make him the way he is. He once had a partner named Irina, whom he fell for. He was captured during a job and tortured until he gave her up. Then he watched as she was executed. He felt relief that it was her, not him.

Mac brought Ric the digital recorder and played a cut. Alcazar was heard to say, "Morgan" then two shots were heard. Forgetting that chain of custody had been broken by Mac carrying the recorder who-knows-where and getting prints all over it, Ric decided it was still admissible and ordered Mac to bring in Jason. Jason, meanwhile, was cornered by Sam. "I want your child," she said.

Alan worried that if Lulu went to court she would hear about Luke raping Laura — or blurt out that Scott killed Rick Webber. Luke (dressed in a suit) showed up, and Tracy advised him to tell Lulu everything, but he refused. Instead, he asked Lulu to stay away from the hearing. (Good luck with that!) Of course she stubbornly insisted on going. Tracy said the hearing would be "painful and tedious." Monica and Edward joined the chorus. At Kelly's, Nikolas, Elizabeth, Lucky and Emily decided to keep Lulu out of court by asking her to help Liz with the kids at the park. Sam and Amelia walked in, and Sam suggested taking Jason for a picnic in the park to force him to confess so she can forgive him (and then he can claim his child). At the courthouse, Bobbie told Scott that Laura loved Luke, not him. Would Laura thank you for doing this? Later, a suspicious Lulu showed up at the park and asked Liz if she truly loves Lucky. At the courthouse, Lucky told Luke he doesn't hold a grudge for what happened before he was born. Tracy joined Luke as the hearing began. On the stand, Alexis asked Lainey to explain Laura's catatonia. Lainey testified that when Laura appointed Nik her guardian, she was lucid. Scott asked Lainey to read a doctor's report that Luke's "badgering" pushed her into catatonia.

Carly found Jax commiserating with Metro Court employee Marty over Jerry's "resemblance" to the infamous Mr. Craig. Jerry/Craig wondered why Jax isn't happier to see him. Jax called his brother a stranger. At Sonny's cafe, Jason fumed about the Jerry-pretending-he-just-looks-like-Craig scam. Sonny was more worried about being linked to Alcazar's death. Meanwhile, Ric told Mac he's getting a warrant to look into Alcazar's disappearance. Spinelli burst in to update Jason. Sonny exploded when he realized Jason trusted "this fruitcup" with business. Sonny hinted about Jason's "secret pain," so the Jackal confessed he slipped up, infuriating Jason. Back at Metro Court, Carly told Logan that Jerry looks "identical" to the man who held everyone hostage. Edward and Monica dropped by and Jax introduced his brother as resembling Craig. Edward was unconvinced, but Carly backed up Jax. Skye asked Ric to help her file a missing person report on Alcazar. He hinted about the evidence Alcazar was holding, but Skye hasn't found it. Spinelli reported finding Alcazar's safe-deposit boxes. Sonny accused Jason of getting sloppy and demanded to know if he made any mistakes taking out Alcazar. Then Sam interrupted to invite Jason to that park picnic. At the park, Liz insisted she wants the best for her kids, but she and Lucky are only human and make mistakes. Then she asked Lulu to stay away from the hearing. (Good luck with that!) Jason agreed to the picnic, which convinced Sonny he does have a "secret pain." Sam led Jason directly to the spot where Liz was already picnicking with the kids. Spinelli went to Kelly's, where he ran into Lulu. Logan visited Sonny to tell him Jerry is a dead ringer for Craig. Sonny offered Logan a job. Carly told Jerry to leave town, but he insisted on staying close to his brother. Mac and Ric served the warrant on Skye. Ric planted a digital recorder, which an officer immediately found.

On the stand, Scott asked Nik about events at the campus disco on Oct. 5, 1979. Despite not even being born yet, Nik asserted that "Luke raped Laura" — just as Lulu entered the courtroom.
