GH Recaps Week of July 16, 2007

Carly was confirming security arrangements with Marty when Jerry sauntered in and started pushing her buttons. She didn't beat around the bush: "You bring my husband home and I'll be your biggest fan." (She'd also love for him to get Jason out of the murder charge, but Jax was her biggest concern.) Jerry insisted that Jax is safer where he is; "Be patient," he smiled. That's not exactly her forté, so she called Alexis to distract Jerry while she searched his room.

A harried Anna tracked down Noah at the hospital, suggesting that they test drive his Noah-as-Eli act at the charity cocktail party tonight. Robin and even Noah reluctantly agreed, but Patrick was still a little wary about Noah fooling Eli's friends & mdash; never mind that the whole set-up could drive his dad to drink. After introducing themselves to a sycophantic partygoer as Eli's nutritionist and Pilates instructor, Patrick and Robin sat back to watch the inevitable disaster. As Anna nitpicked Noah's performance, Robin reassured Patrick. "These [music industry] people are so narcissistic that they're not even going to notice," she argued, adding that she has faith that Noah won't take a drink. Sure enough, Anna and Noah were the life of the party, but Robin pulled her mom aside to clarify something. "Tell me you are not the least bit attracted to him, because that would be gross," begged Robin. Anna insisted she's only trying to help.

At the party, Jerry arrived in time to Alexis from a lecherous hippie, but then suggested they go up to his room, where Carly was snooping. When Alexis and Jerry returned and Carly was forced to hide. Despite Alexis's best efforts to get him to leave, Jerry wondered about her true motives. Finally she "confessed" that she wanted to invite him on a date. Jerry was intrigued, as Carly lurked behind his chair.

Sonny visited Jason, who was anxious for a report about Jake. Sonny gossiped about Sam's confrontation with the Spencers at the park and encouraged Jason to claim Jake as his own, arguing that people are finding out every day, but agreed to back him no matter what. Sonny also had some good news: He told him about the recording and urged him not to lose hope. Jason, however, somberly noted that luck runs out eventually. Besides, "Whether I'm in prison or not, I'm never gonna have my son."

Publishing mogul Warren James showed up for the cocktail party with a date so young the bartender mistook her for his daughter (Warren took it in stride, flashing the little pill box full of goodies that help him keep up with his youthful hottie). Kate arrived to greet him, and as they sat down she had a brief flash of illness, but assured him it was just a headache. She declined his offer of some ibuprofin from his pillbox, but changed her mind and popped one of them when he stepped away. Sonny found her trying to cool off later, but she must have inadvertently taken one of Warren's pep pills, because she was in an undeniably frisky mood. Despite her attempts to talk business, she couldn't take her eyes off of an amused Sonny; they ended up in a hot kiss.

Liz was trying to make an appointment to see Jason when Lulu sat down across from her. When Liz confessed her plans, Lulu sincerely urged her to visit Jason, but Liz was still worried about Lucky's feelings. Logan showed up in time to comfort and flirt with a conflicted Lulu, who was cheered up by him in spite of herself. Lucky arrived, fresh from a meeting, and confirmed that he had suggested Liz visit Jason. Lucky reasoned that he's got everything and Jason's got nothing. "How could I deny him a friend like Elizabeth?" Indeed, Liz was at that moment promising Jason that she wouldn't abandon him, and even brought him some pictures of Jake, whose blue eyes are getting more vibrant by the day. "Sometimes I think people must be able to tell that he's yours." They discussed his original intention to stay away from Jake, but "I've realized that it would kill me to try and pretend he's nothing to me," he admitted, bringing tears to her eyes.

Meanwhile, Lulu rejected Logan's lascivious advances, so he stormed off and was stopped outside by Cody, who shoved him against the wall. Lulu came out while he was being attacked and ordered the thug to leave Logan alone.

Amelia stopped by Sam's to tell her to attend the cocktail party (and rub in her Jason troubles a bit.) Sam turned her down point-blank, and insisted that Elizabeth and Jason will keep their mouths shut about Jake. "My heart would be breaking if I weren't so angry with him," she said wistfully. Lucky arrived later; Sam apologized for her behavior at the park, admitting that his wife just gets to her. He just wanted to know whether Jason is in love with Liz.

Sonny walked into his office to find Spinelli on the computer, taking care of Jason's affairs. Sonny ordered him to drop his plans of assistance. When Sonny grabbed Spinelli's laptop, Kate interrupted and Spinelli ran out. Kate remarked that Sonny hasn't changed, and he never will. Kate was pleased with herself for getting Sonny nominated to the board of an art museum, but he wasn't as enthusiastic. He was even less so when he heard about the hefty required donation. Kate tried to convince Sonny to clean up his life, for his kids' sake.

At Pentonville, Sam and Jason's visit boiled over. “How far are you willing to go to protect Elizabeth's lie?” Sam asked of Jason. He refused to back down from his threat of exposing her complicity in Jake's kidnapping to the cops if she blew the paternity secret. Sam accused Liz of kidnapping his child long before Maureen did and called Jason a sucker. “This has nothing to do with you — Elizabeth is protecting herself,” she spat. Jason apologized for hurting Sam but reminded that he was just looking out for his son. A dejected Sam left.

At Kelly's, Mike made Maxie cover Georgie's shift, since Georgie was stuck at the hospital covering her sister's shift. Coop entered, stunned to see his girl involved in manual labor. Coop let Maxie know he scored points with the way he handled the stakeout. Coop then bumped into former war buddy Cody. They compared notes about what they've been up to since leaving the service. Cody, suffering from war-related stress and fatigue syndrome, clearly held a grudge against Logan. Coop offered to help, but Cody threw a fit when Maxie mentioned that she knows Logan. An incensed Cody vowed to go after his foe despite Coop's advice to leave the past in the past. Cody stormed off, followed by Coop. Later, Maxie went to Coop's room and apologized for setting off Cody. A shirtless Coop told her to drop it. "Things over there changed me, and not in a good way," he offered as Maxie pulled him into a hug.

A suit-clad Spinelli bluffed his way into Pentonville to see Jason, masquerading as Stone Cold's attorney. Jason advised his protege to stay out of Sonny's way. Spinelli offered to hep Jason escape, but Morgan declined. Spinelli was saddened to hear of the demise of Jason and Sam's romance. Jason sadly admitted that Sam was right — he can't put her needs over Jake's.

At the park, Lucky looked at Elizabeth when Amelia stated that Sam and Jason broke up. Amelia feigned sympathy, then left. Sam arrived on the scene, mentioned the break up and told Lucky that his wife was in love with Jason. Liz told Sam not to bring up this mess in front of the kids. Before huffing off, Sam told Lucky not to worry; Liz won't leave him, since she doesn't have the guts to admit the truth to herself. Lucky walked off. When he returned, Lucky told Liz he cleared her for a visit with Jason. She declined the offer.

At Pentonville, Sam told Jason the horrible truth — that she watched Jason's son being kidnapped and did nothing. "Don't you want to ask me why?" she queried. "You wanted to punish me," he responded. Sam told Jason that she has completely lost faith in him. She pointed out that things have been shaky between them for a long time now. Jason admitted Sam was right, but she still watched his son get kidnapped. Sam stated that Liz purposely got pregnant with his child, and expressed her shock that he went along with her idea to keep it a secret. Sam pointed out that Jason can't put her first, and she will accept nothing less. "I am releasing you from all the promises you made to me," sighed Sam. “We're over ... I hate that your lies destroyed us." When Sam then threatened to spill the beans to Lucky, Jason countered by saying if she did, he'd have her arrested as an accessory to Jake's kidnapping.

At the hospital, Lucky asked Elizabeth to put the past pain behind them and concentrate on their family. She reiterated that while Jason is her friend, it's Lucky she wants to spend her life with. Epiphany, however, wondered just who Liz was trying to convince. Later, Lucky persuaded Liz to go back to the park, but being back at the scene of the crime spooked her. Lucky lovingly calmed her nerves. While Lucky was off playing with Cameron, Amelia bumped into Liz and Jake. After Liz thanked Amelia for her help, she spilled to Mrs. Spencer that Jason and Sam were over.

At Logan's apartment, Lulu was shocked to open the door to Scott and Tracy, who warned her not to make the biggest mistake of her life. Scott voiced that he believed Logan was faking the claim of being Baldwin's son. "You, go stick out your thumb," Scott barked to Logan as he and Tracy dragged Lulu out of there.

At Metro Court, Carly told Jerry she'll be his new best friend if he helps her get Jason out of prison. Alexis arrived and joined Carly in her efforts to get Jerry to divulge Jax's whereabouts. When Jerry stormed off, Alexis and Carly surprised themselves and decided to work together to devise a plan.

Ric came to Logan's apartment and threatened to have him arrested unless he was able to dig up more dirt on Sonny's operations. Ric gave Logan the name of a snitch for Logan to pass along to Sonny, thus proving Hayes's loyalty to Corinthos.

On the docks, Jerry informed Skye that he planned to help Jason get out of prison, stunning Skye. Before he could explain his intent, Edward summoned Skye to the Quartermaine mansion. Jerry then went inside Kelly's and found Coop with Maxie. Jerry reminded Coop that he may need a favor in the future.

At the Q's, Edward quizzed Skye to see if she knew Lulu's whereabouts. Just then, Tracy and Scott burst in with Lulu — that's when everybody started shouting over one another. The bickering came to an end when Skye suggested that Scott take a paternity test to see if Logan's telling the truth. Edward ordered Scott out and told Alice to call Shadybrook and have them pick up Tracy. Back at Shadybrook, Tracy told Scott that he'd better do his best to keep Lulu and Logan apart, because there will be hell to pay when Luke returns. Meanwhile, Lulu snuck out of the manse, headed straight to Logan's and planted a big kiss on Mr. Hayes.

At G.H., Eli woke up to see Anna hovering over his bed. She declared that she wants to help save his life. Afterward, Anna arranged for another "training" session with Noah to impersonate Eli in concert. Dr. Drake denied her claims that he was afraid of her. Then, Robin pulled Anna aside and the women dished about Robin’s relationship with Patrick and the possibility of parenthood for the young doctors in love. Then, Robin mentioned that Eli remained adamant about not having the life-saving surgery. Anna encouraged Eli to live and dared him to make her cry with a new love song. Her impassioned pleas worked. Eli agreed to have the operation and let Noah appear in his place. Noah flipped when he realized he was actually going to have to appear on-stage. Then, Patrick grew concerned when Anna mentioned that Eli was a heavy drinker so Noah had better know how to hold his liquor.

Alexis showed up at Sonny’s house. They had a last-minute appointment with a prospective school that Alexis wanted their daughter to attend. Alexis begged Sonny to keep things as normal as possible when the school official, Mr. Green, showed up. Max announced him, adding that Milo was currently frisking their guest. Upon meeting Mr. Green, it came out during the interview that Sonny quit high school in his junior year. Alexis promptly covered for everything Sonny said. Then, Bernie interrupted, talking business, unaware of Sonny’s guest. Alexis was mortified. Making matters worse, Diane burst in mentioning Jason’s murder trial. Just as Mr. Green announced that the Winston School was not a good fit for Kristina, Kate arrived in a flourish and charmed Mr. Green. Kate’s admittance was assured, but then Green asked how Sonny and Kate met. Kate made up a cute cover story and Alexis showed Mr. Green out. Alexis and Sonny were both deeply thankful and in Kate's debt.

At Metro Court, Carly demanded to know about Amelia’s involvement in Jake’s rescue, for which Jason went to jail. Amelia told the truth about her hunch and Jason’s actions to rescue the baby and told Carly that Sam, not her, is the person to have issues with.

At the penthouse, Sam’s exercise routine was interrupted by Nikolas’s arrival. He mentioned his ride home from the airport with Amelia. Sam told Nikolas the truth about her past, and Nik offered to cut Sam loose from Amelia. Just then, Amelia showed up, barking orders at Sam. Nik stated it was obvious the only reason Sam is still working for Amelia is that she obviously must have something she’s holding over his cousin. Amelia asked Sam if she wanted to answer the question when Sam’s cell phone rang ‹ she was approved to visit Jason at Pentonville. Sam thanked Nik for his support but said now was not the time to get into it and sent Nik on his way. Then, Sam cut Amelia to the bone when she said that Amelia’s dad, the deceased Bill, didn’t even keep a photo of his precious Amelia. Sam then went to change to visit Jason. Later, at Pentonville, Sam nervously awaited Jason’s arrival.

At his apartment, Logan woke up to find that Lulu was asleep in a chair and had spent the night. She woke up and they immediately started bickering. Logan wanted Lulu to admit she had "the hots" for him. She promptly cut the egotist down to size. Maxie and Coop showed up to check in on Logan. As Coop and Maxie went to the store, Maxie wanted to know if Logan succeeded in bedding Maxie. At the Q mansion, Monica and Edward were frantic that Lulu hadn’t come home the previous night and she couldn’t be located. Monica suggested calling the police but Alice tried to talk them out of it to keep the girl out of trouble.

Nikolas showed up at Metro Court and announced to Carly that Jerry tried to have him killed during his recent trip to Russia. Jerry indicated that may also be Jax’s locale, upsetting Carly.

While Noah was sheepish about dropping his pants in front of Anna in an effort to pretend to be rock star Eli Love, Robin and Patrick debated the pros and cons of their parents becoming acquainted. Anna then showed up in the hospital locker room with Eli, and when Patrick and Robin chastised him for being out of bed, "Eli" revealed that he was actually Noah. Anna then gave Noah lessons in imitating Eli Love. She gave him a guitar to strum; his first effort was less than desirable. Patrick and Robin tried to persuade Noah to drop the crazy scheme, but Anna remained confident in Noah’s ability, even if it wasn’t quite evident.

Kate demanded to know if Sonny spilled her true identity to Amelia. He didn’t, of course, but Kate feared Amelia would go public on TV. Sonny countered that he knows what it’s like to have an image to live up to, and tried to alleviate Kate’s fears. Sonny tried to encourage her to tell the truth but Kate cited a story about co-workers making fun of her one time when her mother called the office. Sonny talked about his own history and warned Kate to be careful what she wished for. Just as they were about to get close. Max interrupted.

"No," claimed Elizabeth when confronted with Lucky’s question: "Do you love Jason?" They fought about her using his badge to visit Jason in prison, but Cameron’s appearance squelched the fight. They then had family time as Lucky read both his boys a story.

At the airport, Amelia got into the wrong car and met Nikolas. When she realized he was the Cassadine heir, Nik remarked, "I’m just a prince with a title." Nik opened up about his vendetta against Jerry. As they chatted, they got onto the subject of Jake’s kidnapping. Then, Amelia spilled spilled the beans about Sam’s past to her cousin. She even told him her original agenda. "My revenge didn’t go as I expected," she quipped.

Carly flipped out when he found Jerry and Sam at the penthouse. Carly snidely commented that the two of them deserve each other. Jerry ducked out and the claws came out between the women. Carly told Sam that she was happy that Jason and Sam were through. The women bickered before Sam gave Carly the boot. Spinelli returned home, and Sam pleaded with him to help her get to see Jason. She spilled about witnessing the kidnapping, that she wished Jake no harm and expressed her hurt at Jason’s deception. Stating he knew how it felt to be cast aside, Spinelli told Sam he’d help her.

As Lulu tended to a wounded Logan, she mentioned her disgust for Maxie and joked about him standing her up on their first date. "Why don't you just admit you like me," he queried. Lulu admitted that while he can have his moments, she doesn't plan to waster her time on him.
