Having missed a mysterious call on his cell phone, Jerry admitted that he felt something might be wrong, but was quick to chide a worrisome Carly about badgering him for more details about Jax. Carly held her ground and called Jerry out on refusing to answer her questions just to scare her (exactly like he'd done during the Metro Court crisis). Once they arrived at their hotel room in Caracas, Jerry suddenly yelped and collapsed. The duo bickered and Carly pulled up Jerry's shirt, discovering a nasty stab wound. As Carly cleaned him up and tried to find out how he was hurt, a feverish (and delirious) Jerry called her "Irina" then pulled her for a surprising kiss.

Sonny was pleased to see Kate bonding with his boys and told Michael that he and Ms. Howard were old pals. Sonny shared his concerns about Carly trying to save Jason and thanked Kate again for her testimony. Then he encouraged her not to be so "cold" all the time, noting that he'd caught a glimpse of the old Connie from Bensonhurst; it suited her and he liked it.

In court, Ric continued his interrogation of Elizabeth, demanding that she answer whether Jason was Jake's father. "My baby is my husband's, Lucky Spencer," she responded calmly. Diane objected, wondering how it was related to Jason's case, but the judge overruled. Liz insisted that Jason was merely a close and loyal friend, to whom she was eternally indebted for saving her life. Ric couldn't be deterred, demanding that she prove Jason's alibi on the day Alcazar was shot; Liz refused to be overwhelmed or flustered by the twisted questioning and confirmed that Jason had visited her at the hospital that day before promptly leaving to take a call. After Diane's brief questioning, the judge adjourned the court until the next day. Liz made her way off the stand and remorsefully glanced at Lucky, who quickly turned the other way.

On their first official date, Logan and Lulu tried to catch their breath after hiking up to Vista Point. As they chugged some bottled water, Lulu shared stories about her parents' adventures, which made Logan smile. Lulu said she didn't care about the terrible weather; she'd always wanted to visit Vista Point and Logan made it happen. Later, the duo bonded over snacks and after it started to rain on their impromptu picnic, they laughed and kissed under a makeshift tent.

Irina pulled out her gun and took another shot at Jax for "misbehaving"; she missed. Jax tried again to bribe his way out, but Irina wasn't tempted. Irina confessed she loved Jerry and would've done anything for him but he sold her out; Jax reassured her that his brother's heart died when he hurt her. Later, Jax again rejected his captor's advances again, when her threats worsened, he kissed her in effort to stall her plans. They quickly moved to the bed.

At the courthouse, Sonny got an update from an infuriated Jason and vowed to do whatever he could to make sure Jason is freed (if you catch his drift...). Meanwhile, Liz scoffed at Ric's flimsy apology for hurting her in court, adding that he was a "self-righteous and spiteful little man." Then she "thanked" him for letting her finally see how pathetic he really was. Ric was unfazed and railed at a tearful Liz for standing by a criminal. She laughed when Ric said he always loved her, adding "You've never loved anyone like yourself." Then as Sam appeared, "Funny, you're just like Sam that way," Liz sneered and turned to leave.... Liz visited Jason to tell him that she could've told the truth on the stand but she couldn't bring herself to face Lucky, plus baby Jake will always be safer as a Spencer. Jason understood and they embraced. Later, Sam barged in to Jason's holding cell and encouraged him to "man up" so he could claim responsibility as Jake's father, but she knew his alliance to Liz was more important.

Back at home, a tearful Lucky glanced at his wedding photo when Nikolas unexpectedly arrived to comfort him. Realizing Nik was at the courthouse because he knew Liz slept with Jason, Lucky asked how long his brother knew and wondered if Liz was only trying to protect him by lying..., Liz returned home and immediately apologized to Lucky, who demanded to know who was Jake's father.

"Have you and Jason Morgan ever had sex?" Ric once again asked Elizabeth. Jason jumped to his feet and screamed for Jason to back off. Despite Diane's objections, the judge allowed Ric to continue with his line of questioning. As Lucky looked on, Elizabeth was forced to admit that she and Jason slept together one night last August. The judge called a recess and an ashamed Elizabeth couldn't even look at her husband. "You're garbage," Lucky growled at Jason. When court reconvened, Ric asked Elizabeth if Jason is Jake's father.

Amelia filled Sam in on how Ric was badgering Elizabeth. "The line of questioning will lead to who is Jake's daddy?" Amelia smirked. Nikolas showed up at Sam's request and she told him that Lucky will need a friend to lean on after Elizabeth's day in court. "Lucky is going to find out what kind of liar he married," Sam predicted.

When Jax declared he was a happily married man, Irina knocked him to the floor, then kicked him around. "You wouldn't happen to be Irina by any chance?" Jax surmised and her silent reaction answered his question. "He betrayed me," Irina seethed and promised that Jerry would watch his brother die. When Irina later admitted that, after she was tortured, she betrayed Jerry, Jax was even more confused with her vendetta. "I want you to enjoy your final days," she purred.

As part of their plan to save Jason, Carly and Jerry headed to Caracas on a private jet. "It must drive my brother crazy that you worry about other men," Jerry observed, but Carly blasted him for all the problems he caused Jax. "When this mess is over can you please just get out of the way?" Carly sneered. Jerry's cell phone rang, but no one responded on the other end when he answered it. That's because it was Jax, who was interrupted by Irina's gun pressed against his head.

Sonny brought Kate a pizza in gratitude for her help. She refused the offering and Sonny was frustrated that he couldn't get her to lighten up. "I'm comfortable with who I am," she proclaimed. Michael and Morgan showed up and Sonny wanted to know where their mother was. When they couldn't answer, Sonny left to find some answers. When he came back, Sonny was surprised to find Kate laughing and having fun with the boys.

Lulu voiced her confusion about Logan to Georgie. "We can't seem to avoid each other," Lulu lamented but Georgie wondered if that was what her pal really wanted. "Let's be honest, you like Logan's bad side," she noted. Lulu urged Georgie to go after Spinelli but Georgie knew his heart belonged to Lulu.

While playing pool, Spinelli ordered Logan to keep his distance from Lulu. "I will not stand by and watch you hurt my friend," Spinelli snarled and Logan deduced that the geek was smitten with Lulu. The topic of their conversation walked in and heard Spinelli threatening Logan. She thanked Spinelli for being protective but said it was up to her to decide what to do about Logan. After Spinelli left, Logan and LuLu commenced with their pool game at which he excelled. But when he lost the game she accused him of intentionally letting her win and agreed to go on a date with him.

Carly badgered Diane about testifying on Jason's behalf but Diane told her to stop making things worse. Jason then got a moment with her and told Carly thanks but no thanks, noting, "You have a history of losing it in the courtroom." She saw his point, but vowed she'd get him out of this jam.

Kate and Elizabeth met in the witness room as Jason's trial resumed. Kate brought Couture work with her to do. Then, Sonny showed up. He'd been subpoenaed, as well. Lucky brought Liz breakfast. She was unnerved that Lucky said he'd be sitting in on her testimony to show his wife his support. Then, Amelia was called in, too. Ric changed the order of the witnesses and called Sonny to the stand. Ric asked point blank if Sonny ordered Jason to kill Alcazar. "No," Corinthos replied. Ric then called Kate to the stand in his attempt to establish that Kate witnessed Sonny's call to Jason. Kate employed a bit of bluster to make Ric's line of questioning look silly in front of the jury.

At Kelly's, Spinelli tapped into the courtroom's closed circuit TV so he and Lulu could watch Liz's testimony. Maxie entered and laid into Lulu for her interest in Coop. Spinelli tried to break it up and Sam entered and sided with Maxie, causing Lulu's jaw to drop. Sam told Spinelli that he can't make Lulu love him and advised him to cut his losses. Spinelli said Sam's not herself with the trial going on, and asked Lulu if Sam spoke the truth. Lulu told Spinelli that while he's her best friend, she doesn't see herself falling in love with him. Lulu said no matter what, though, no man could ever take his place in her heart. They hugged. Just then, Logan entered and asked to speak to Lulu. He apologized for his rash behavior and asked for another chance. Lulu turned him down.

At Metro Court, Jerry returned from his encounter with Cardoza with a stab wound. Nikolas arrived and told Jerry that he was being cut off from Cassadine funds. When Jerry mentioned his hold over Emily, Nik challenged Jerry to put up or shut up. Jerry regretted Nik's timing, as he needs the money. The men got physical, until Jerry pulled a gun on Nik. He fired a warning shot, and nearly hit Carly as she came through the door. "What the hell is going on here?" she queried. "He almost killed you. Again," shouted Nik. Carly asked Nik to leave and to stay away from Jerry. Nik wondered what Jerry had over her, but honored her request and left. Carly reiterated that she needed Jerry to get Jason off the hook, so they went to Spinelli to look up information on Alcazar.

Irina reiterated that Jax was only being kept alive until Jerry arrives, then she proceeded to give him a sponge bath.... Maxie stopped by Sam's new apartment to thank her for sticking up for her earlier. Sam invited her in and asked how Maxie felt about helping her ruining Elizabeth's life.

Back in court, Liz was called to the stand. As she left the witness room, a man entered. Amelia asked what he was doing there. The man said he saw Jason dragging Alcazar's dead body. Once on the stand, Ric grilled Liz on the nature of her relationship with Jason. He then asked her if she'd ever slept with Jason.

As Lulu tended to Coop's wounds after his fight with Logan, the instigator made his way to Metro Court and blabbed to Maxie that her boyfriend's been spending time with Lulu. Maxie flew home and burst in the door, just as Lulu was helping Coop off with his ripped shirt. Maxie kicked Lulu out. She went downstairs and blasted Logan for causing a stir. Lulu pointed out that he's a jerk because she and Coop are just friends. Lulu then asked Coop point-blank if he was interested in her and he reiterated that he's with Maxie. Coop dragged Logan outside and said if Logan really cared about Lulu, he'd tell her about his history in Iraq.

In court, Diane objected after Ric played the tape of the shooting twice for the jury. She was overruled. After another viewing of Jason in action, Ric planned to call Liz to the stand.

In the witness holding room, Elizabeth and Kate chatted until Carly burst in and announced that she, too, was a witness. After the girls scoffed at her plan to "volunteer," the guard demanded to see Carly's subpoena. Just then, court was adjourned for the day. Kate and Carly left, while Liz lingered to watch Jason on the closed circuit TV. Carly caught up with Diane and begged to get on the stand but Diane turned down the offer.

While Jerry was having sex with a prostitute who looked like Irina, a bruised and battered Jax was spotted being tied up. When he asked the woman who was holding him hostage what her motives were, she stated, "Maybe I just want to get to know Jerry's little brother." Back at Metro Court, Jerry met with an rough-looking acquaintance, an exchange witnessed by Carly. "Where's my husband?" she demanded to know. Jerry chastised her for shooting off her mouth in situations that she knew nothing about. Afterward, he got a call from his informant stating that Jax's location had been lost. Jerry was furious.

Back in captivity, Irina wondered how Jax rated in bed compared to his brother. Jax realized his captor held a grudge against Jerry. Then, she pulled Jax into a kiss and threatened to kill him while Jerry watched.

Spinelli went to the PCPD to try and get Jason off the hook but Lucky would not hear of it. "What's wrong with you?" Spinelli asked aloud. "He's the man who gave you your son." Oops! Lucky said he's grateful that Jason got Jake back after being kidnapped but he was just doing his duty. Spinelli remained critical of Lucky's treatment of Jason. Just then, Jason was brought in. In an aside, Spinelli asked Jason if it's time that perhaps Lucky be told the truth. "I don't want Jake to hear his father described as I was in the courtroom today," Jason sighed, adamant the secret be kept.

Lulu stumbled upon her sister-in-law, who was pondering the prospect of testifying against Jason. Lulu was able to offer Liz some comfort and said she could use this opportunity to actually help Jason.... Ric caught up with Lucky and assured Spencer that he wasn't planning on grilling Liz on the stand ‹ all she had to do is get up and tell the truth.... Maxie begged Coop not to fall for Lulu. He was shocked at her lack of trust in him. She replied it's not him she didn't trust.... Ric offered Jason a plea bargain to keep Liz off the stand.

Carly was furious that the proceedings for Jason's trial were closed off to her and the rest of the public. Try as she might to sweet-talk the guard, she was sent away. Needless to say, Carly didn't go quietly. She went to see Alexis and begged for the attorney to get her in the courtroom. Alexis said Jason was in enough trouble and declined.

Inside the courtroom, opening arguments began in Jason's murder trial. Diane accused Ric of having a vendetta against Jason and Sonny. In the witness holding room, Sam and Elizabeth sniped at one another while they waited to testify. Jason feared the worst when Ric called Sam to the stand. As Sam testified, Liz watched on closed circuit TV. Diane was on fire when she questioned Sam, noting that since Sam and Ric had slept together, they had plenty of reasons to being carrying grudges against Jason.

At the hospital, Noah (dressed as Eli) couldn't believe that Eli existed without wearing a watch and was off to Metro Court. Robin and Patrick feared Noah was meeting Anna for a quickie. At Metro Court, Noah (as Eli) met with LIFEbeat, the charity benefiting from this concert. During the meeting, he was besieged by female fans and being served alcohol. Later, Bobbie happened upon Noah as he was staring at a drink. Noah briefed Bobbie of his Eli Love dilemma; she worried about his sobriety. Bobbie expressed her support. She and Noah had a warm chat, then she left, with the drink that was on the table. Bobbie went to the hospital and warned Patrick about Noah slipping into dangerous territory. Meanwhile, Noah decided to go to an AA meeting, but before he did, he took a drink with a fan.

At the coffeehouse, Kate accused Sonny of using her for an alibi during Jason's ambush at the PCPD. “I never used you,” he stressed. Kate grew upset and left. Amelia showed up and wanted to interview Sonny. He was surprised to hear that the footage from the recent shooting was going to be used during Jason's trial. Amelia described the contents of the footage. Sonny was concerned about how Jason would be portrayed.

Logan caught up with Lulu at Kelly's. She told him whatever they shared the past few days was over. Lulu said that Coop had warned her about him. Just then, Coop entered and asked his buddy to set the record straight. When Coop did not, Logan dragged his friend outside and punched him out. Lulu ran out and tended to Coop. She ordered Logan to get lost.

At Metro Court, Carly ran into Sam and said McCall has payback coming.

Back in court, Diane objected to the shooting footage being introduced. The judge declared a brief recess. Jason was placed in the wrong holding room and got to chat with Elizabeth. After Jason was escorted out, Kate was brought in. The ladies chatted. Then, Kate wondered if Liz would perjure herself for Jason. Afterward, the shooting footage was introduced and the jury watched.
