Harley and Gus had a talk with Daisy, telling her that Sydney's adoption hearing could not be rescheduled and asked her if she'd testify on their behalf. Daisy tried to make excuses about why she didn't want to go to court, admitting that she was fearful of messing up. She was also worried that Harley would find out about her being in Gillespie's car when it hit Tammy. In private, Gus reassured his stepdaughter that everything should blow over because he had paid Gillespie a little visit in the hospital and threatened him to keep his mouth shut. When Daisy tried to leave the house, Gus told her not too; Harley became suspicious of Gus's uneasy demeanor. Gus claimed he just thought Harley and Daisy needed some quality mother/daughter time; she bought it.

On Main Street, Daisy ran into a wayward skater named Ziggy, who tried to flirt with her. When she told him to show off a skateboard trick, she snagged some mysterious red pills from his backpack. Later, Harley came home to find Daisy, bombed out of her mind, listening to loud music and eating tons of junk food; she demanded to know what was up. Daisy feigned that she was just sad and had been crying, hence her "messed up" eyes.

At the Lewis house, Billy showed up to visit and asked where Cassie was but Josh honestly couldn't tell him; she was pretending that everything was okay, but was taking pills that the doctor had prescribed to her so he hoped that would help. "Cassie's about to fall apart and there's nothing I can do about it," he added. Billy encouraged Josh that he was doing the best he could to comfort Cassie. After Josh admitted that he himself is the family's rock, he began to break down and cry. Billy tried to relate by explaining how he felt while taking care of Reva during her cancer, reassuring Josh that you can be scared and still be strong. The brothers hugged and Billy took Josh to the church, explaining that sometimes you need to ask for help to keep you strong. He added, "If you believe in the light and find it, it will guide you home."

At the police station, Alan was livid and railed at Frank as he waited for questioning, then Cassie suddenly entered, much to Alan's surprise. Alan claimed he was tired and didn't really feel like talking, but Cassie let him have it, reminding him that she'd been having trouble sleeping then shared a story about how she woke up in the middle of the night panicking because she thought she'd forgotten Tammy's birthday, but soon came to the realize that her daughter was actually dead. "Stop spitting on Tammy's memory and just admit what you did," Cassie demanded. Alan said he wished he could go back and change the events of the fatal night, accidentally confessing his involvement; Frank overheard. Alan just said he misspoke because he was tired. Before Cassie left, Alan made sure she knew that he was helping Reva to get Josh back; She scowled and departed. Later, Gus arrived to grill his Pops, trying to show him just how much evidence was stacked up against him. Gus suggested Alan confess for Sarah, for Phillip and for them as father and son! Then asked Alan if he was going to just be the same old and lonely Alan Spaulding, or if he was going to buck up and be a real man. Alan refused to confess, then started to put the blame on Beth and Lizzie; Gus was appalled.

Back at the Lewis manse, Cassie told Josh she'd visited Alan and informed him about Alan's deal with Reva to break Josh and Cassie up. Visibly hurt, Josh was forced to tell Cassie it wasn't one of Alan's lies, then he confessed to a shocked Cassie about Reva's cancer-scare and that they had kissed; Cassie lost it. Josh grabbed her and gave a very emotional plea reminding Cassie that he truly loves her and only her. After they reconciled, Cassie worried that Alan wouldn't get punished for what he did; Josh assured her Alan would pay.

In Gillespie's room at Cedars, Doris came to visit him to strike a deal, guaranteeing he'd be freed from charges if he just agreed to follow her lead. Later, a reluctant Gillespie agreed to sign a confession, giving Doris Alan and securing his own freedom.

At the end of the episode, Doris paid Alan a visit in the slammer and showed him a document that she claimed was bad enough to put him away for the rest of his life; he freaked, but Doris told him to not worry, all hope wasn't lost.

How many minutes did Cassie say it took her to realize she hadn't forgotten Tammy's birthday?

Jonathan's deadly high-speed chase after Alan was replayed (his car went off a cliff and exploded). Reva screamed while Alan approached and also watched in horror.

At the police station, Reva was livid at Alan, who appeared genuinely upset about the accident. As Reva recounted what had occurred to Lillian, Lizzie, who was also present, looked at her granddad in dismay, unable to comprehend that Jon and Sarah might be dead. Reva said she was praying for a miracle that they both might still be alive. Then Alan railed at Lizzie, claiming that he KNEW Jon couldn't be trusted with his "precious angel" (Sarah). Frank arrived to confirm that Jon and Sarah were dead. Alan didn't believe the news and begged Frank to go back to find survivors. Reva broke down, then lunged at Alan, blaming him; Alan called her insane. Lizzie refused to talk to Alan, who Frank told to go home ... for now.

Meanwhile, Frank informed Marina, Buzz, Mallet and Dinah about the tragedy. Frank attempted to comfort Marina, but she said she didn't need any; She didn't even shed a tear. She claimed she had to move on with her life. Dinah reminisced about her past relationship with Jonathan, then told Marina she was sorry for her losses, claiming that Tammy meant a lot to most of Springfield. Meanwhile, Frank asked Mallet to look over Marina, who acted tough but was really fragile.

Lillian found Lizzie at the church, the grieving mom refused to go home. She claimed she wasn't praying, then finally lost it as Lillian comforted her. Lizzie blamed herself, then she started to tell her grandmother that everything was her fault because she was the one who set things in motion by requesting Alan's help. Lizzie resolved that it didn't really matter now because nothing would bring them back. She only showed up to the church, hoping someone would tell her how to properly say good-bye to Sarah and Jon, then asked, "Why am I still here? Is this my punishment?"

Reva went to Outskirts, poured herself a shot of whiskey and threw the bottle against the wall, sobbing. "They broke the mold when they made you, kid," she said aloud to herself, then proceeded to sort of "say good-bye" to her son, telling him how amazing he was and that she loved him. When Jonathan finished one of her sentences, Reva turned around and was shocked to find him standing there, alive with Sarah in his arms. Reva tried to comprehend as Jon explained that he was glad everyone was fully duped. He begged her to not tell anyone and admitted it was a plan to get Alan off his back because he knew there was no other way to make him stop trying to get his hands on Sarah. Reva was even more saddened when Jon told her the final part of his plan was to leave town for good, with Sarah. Reva said that she'd find a way to keep Jon and Sarah hidden, begging him to stay; Jon pointed out that wasn't possible or practical. Reva told Jon he'd make a great daddy and Jon responded by reassuring his mom that Sarah would know all about grandma Reva. He told Reva he loved her and informed her that he'd left the bar to her in his will. Reva gave baby Sarah a pendant that was her mother's. They hugged as Jon prepared to leave Springfield for good.

Back at the Spaulding manse, an angry Alan looked at Sarah's baby picture, made a call and demanded that Outskirts be demolished because someone (a.k.a. Reva) must be punished for what had happened. Buzz suddenly arrived and screamed at Alan that too much grief had already happened and begged him to stop already and demanded that Alan admit he was sorry and that he's broken. Buzz found the baby book Alan made for Sarah and was shocked; Alan said he was going to be a good father this time, but alas, he doesn't have the chance now. Buzz charged that Alan attacks people when he should be letting them in, but added, "monsters don't make books like that." Buzz left; Lizzie arrived and started crying in Alan's arms. Then Frank appeared and told Alan he had to come down to the station. Before he was taken away, Alan made sure that Lizzie wouldn't abandon him and would stick by him, adding that they were not to blame.

It's the day of Tammy's funeral; Father Ray prepared the church for the memorial. Meanwhile, Daisy complained to Gus about "hating funerals" but he wasn't cutting her any slack, reminding her that her sleazy boyfriend was the one who killed Tammy so she had to attend. At the Spaulding manse, Alan informed Beth that they also had to go to the funeral in order to keep people from circulating rumors about Alan's involvement; Lizzie agreed. Beth called both of them delusional for actually believing they still had a chance of getting Sarah back.

Reva and Billy came to pick up Jonathan, but he said he didn't want to go and felt it was pointless to sit there in a stuffy church and hear Father Ray pontificate about his dead wife. Then he said that he'd stay at home with Sarah, claiming they'd say good-bye in their own way. As Reva and Billy left, they gave Jon Tammy's locket and he broke down, sobbing. As he fed Sarah, Jon spoke out to Tammy, who he called an angel, and asked if she could hear him.

Everyone gathered at the church. RJ, Cassie and Josh looked at a photo collage of Tammy; RJ started crying and said that just like when his father died, he felt like he could talk to Tammy any time he wanted. Reva noted that it just didn't seem fair, the next funeral was supposed to be hers, then she was pleasantly surprised to see her granddaughter Daisy. Frank arrived and interrupted Gus and Harley discussing making Alan pay. He encouraged them to just put their guns away and let "the system" work. Jeffrey paid his respects to Cassie, who reminded him to cherish his own relationship with Ava. Cassie gave Father Ray the greenlight to start the service because she didn't think Jon was coming at all. Then, when Alan, Beth and Lizzie showed up, everyone was shocked and began chiding them for having "some nerve" for showing their faces. Alan claimed they just wanted to pay their respects; Lizzie added that Tammy was her friend. Alan approached Cassie and told her he was very, truly sorry; Cassie said she didn't care what they did because it was God's house, not hers. Then Jonathan unexpectedly arrived with Sarah in tow.

When Remy approached Jon, he admitted he didn't blame Jon because there was enough blame to go around. Meanwhile, Lizzie longingly looked at little Sarah, who she was not allowed to hold. Later, a sobbing Cassie got up to say a few words about Tammy, noting that she was more than a daughter, she was her best friend, but she was unable to finish her speech; Josh covered for her, making sure everyone present knew how grateful they were for the love and devotion everyone had shown. Then he used a sweet analogy about the lighthouse, noting that it will not go dim because Tammy's gone. Next, a surprisingly stable Jon got up to share his thoughts about Tammy. He said that sometimes you never really know who's good and who's evil, but not this time! Then he continued to talk about how bright Tammy's light was, adding, "We can't love her when loving her would make us feel whole." As he stood over her casket, he became increasingly upset and admitted that his love for his wife is mixed with pure hate toward Alan, but that he would keep his promise to raise Sarah. "There's no good-byes for us, kid" he cried and begged her to just stay where she was because he'd find her, no matter what. Then, as the casket was carried away, Buzz read a poem aloud for Cassie.

After the memorial, Reva cradled Sarah, telling her that she was a real tribute to the Shayne sisterhood, but Alan interrupted to correct her; Sarah wasn't a Shayne, she was a Spaulding! Then he snarked that everyone needed to just stop being dramatic and return to their normal lives; Reva was appalled. Jon attacked Alan after he blamed Jon for all the grief, then Jon told Alan his hands would never be clean of blood. Billy stopped the fight, but Jonathan said it wasn't over and expressed to Reva his concern that Alan would kidnap Sarah. After calming down, Jon told Reva to leave with Billy and he'd take Sarah. Then he thanked Reva and told her he loved her.

While everyone met back at Cassie's, Lizzie proclaimed her hatred of all things Spaulding and wished Sarah had never been born because she hated the empty hole in her heart. Meanwhile, Jonathan was in his car, with Sarah strapped in the backseat, and following Alan who was also leaving the church. He kissed Tammy's locket and placed it around the rearview mirror. He told Sarah to hold on, as Alan's words came back to him: "You wanna be a killer? It's in you!" Alan's driver informed him they were being followed and Alan instructed him to lose Jonathan; They sped up and Jon did too. During the high-speed chase, both merged off onto a dirt road. Jonathan looked back at Sarah, then his car plowed over a stop sign and plummeted to into a nearby ravine and exploded. Reva suddenly appeared and screamed out after him in horror.

Jonathan posted a sign on the Outskirts door that said "Closed Until Further Notice." Later, he called Tammy's cell phone, picked it up and cried as he listened to her voicemail message as "Mrs. Tammy Randall."

Coop stopped by Ava's place to check up on her as soon as she arrived home from Paris; she wasn't sure why the trip was cut short except that A-M had to leave because there was a family emergency. Coop then had to tell Ava about Tammy's death. Ava begged him to stay with her as she dealt with the shocking blow of the news. Later, Ava was even more stunned to discover that Tammy and Jonathan had been married. Coop and Ava had sex.

At the Spaulding manse, A-M was confused about what had happened as he investigated the charred remains of the dining room. He asked Lizzie why she didn't come to him for help before things got destructive. Liz reiterated to her stepbro/uncle that she wasn't a bad person and she just wanted Sarah back. As Alan approached, A-M demanded to know what he had done this time and asked him when he was planning to skip town because he had heard about the rumors of Alan's involvement in Tammy's death; Alan was shocked, then told A-M, when it comes to family, he's a great disappointment; A-M countered by calling his dad a killer. When Alan started talking business, A-M was appalled as Alan adamantly said the death wasn't his fault. Fed up, A-M said he was cutting off all Spaulding resources to his dad.

Gus called Harley from the room at the Beacon where he was hiding Daisy. He encouraged her to stay away from Gillespie, who was still recovering in the hospital from Remy's beat-down, but Harley was desperate to question him. Later, Daisy tried to plead her innocence to Gus, claiming she was sorry she was involved in the accident—she didn't know what was happening because she was too wasted. She was also fearful that Gillespie would tell Harley she was in the car with him. Gus told Daisy he needed to rid her of absolutely any evidence that linked her to the hitman so he confiscated her cell phone, but Daisy was unfazed and said she'd still continue to see her man, no matter what. Gus left and Daisy escaped confinement to see "G."

Back at Cedars, Harley questioned Gillespie, who claimed he didn't see anyone one in the road that fatal night and demanded he see a lawyer. Harley continued to grill him, asking if Alan had paid him. Then she asked if his "girlfriend" was in the car with him and requested her name. When the doc came in, urging Harley to skedaddle, she countered that she'd wait there until Gillespie provided her with some solid answers.

At Outskirts, emotions ran high when Lizzie arrived, telling Jon she wanted to do something for Tammy. When Liz offered to pack up Tammy's things to help Jon out, he went nuts and screamed that Liz and Alan deserved to rot in hell. Then he grabbed her by the throat and started choking her. Terrified, Liz shouted "Do it! I'm already there! Do it! You can't hurt me more than my family already has!" Jon let go, Liz split and A-M surprisingly walked in, begging Jon to let Lizzie see Sarah once a week; Jon agreed if A-M provided him with enough proof to put Alan away. A-M explained that Alan would fight for Sarah until one of them was dead so there was no deal.

On Main Street, Gus realized Daisy was missing after a drug counselor said Daisy had skipped out on their meeting. Meanwhile, Daisy went to Cedars seeking Gillespie and suddenly ran into Harley. Gus was forced to backpedal when he called Daisy's phone and Harley answered. Later, Harley appeared overjoyed as Daisy lovingly shared stories about school with her.

Back at the Spaulding mansion, Lizzie and Alan argued, then shared a moment of Spaulding bonding when Alan reminded his granddaughter that he was her only hope of ever seeing Sarah again. As she left, Liz said didn't want to turn into Alan, who gazed at pics of Sarah and delivered a monologue about parents, admitting that mistakes are often made because they love their children so dearly. Meanwhile, Gus paid Gillespie a visit, revealing he was Daisy's stepdad and was willing to do anything to protect her.

At Cedars, Beth gazed at the newborn babies in the nursery ward when Lizzie arrived and started railing at her for handing over Sarah to Jonathan. As Liz rambled on about getting Jon and Sarah back, Beth told her to stop, then let her know that Tammy had died. Meanwhile, Mallet called Cassie to inform her that Tammy's accident was indeed a hit-and-run, the suspect was aiming to kill Jonathan and he believes Alan was behind it all. Cassie grew increasingly unstable as she called Alan Tammy's killer. She sobbed to Josh, saying that she kept thinking about Tammy in the morgue and how cold she must be because Tammy always got cold. Then she feared that after time, she'd forget the little things about her daughter. Josh reassured Cassie that Tammy's face and smile will always be with them no matter what.... Lizzie exclaimed that she wasn't responsible for what had happened, but Beth countered that they were ALL responsible. Blaming Alan, Liz tried to look innocent, claiming she never would have asked Alan for help if she knew, but she wasn't able to finish her sentence because Cassie unexpectedly walked in demanding to know what exactly Liz had done. An insensitive Liz said she knew Cassie blamed her, but it wasn't her fault. Cassie lost it as she explained to Liz all the good things Tammy had done for her; Beth was aghast at Liz's selfishness.

An enraged Remy confronted Gillespie and attacked him, demanding to know if he recognized Tammy when he hit her. Gillespie ("G") claimed it wasn't his fault, but Remy wasn't buying it and continued to beat him senseless. After beating Gillespie to a pulp, Remy went nuts, saying he would make the Spauldings pay. Mallet and Marina walked in to find G, barely alive. Mallet told Remy he was off the case. They tried to revive G, who was later taken the hospital. Meanwhile, with Alan fast asleep upstairs, Jonathan poured gasoline all over the dining room of the Spaulding mansion, pulled out his lighter and started a fire just as Reva showed up. "What are you doing? Having a cookout?" she asked. Jon continued to fuel the fire with Alan's belongings as Reva tried to talk him down from his rage, but it was useless. Finally, knowing nothing she could say would stop Jon, Reva offered to help and threw some newspapers on the growing fire. Later, Reva tried to convince an increasingly deranged Jon that Sarah should be the reason why he should stop the fire, then begged him to give Sarah what he's unable to give Tammy. At a loss, she said Jon should do whatever he needed to do, just remember Sarah. Jon grabbed a fire extinguisher and put out the flame. Once calmed down, Reva assures Jon that he did the right thing.

Beth dragged Lizzie to the church; she lit a prayer candle. Lizzie broke down and admitted she really would miss Tammy, then apologized for all the nasty things she said to Cassie. She said she didn't want to be like Alan but that she did have a little part in Tammy's death; she lit a candle and said a prayer for both Tammy and Jon. Beth said she knew Liz wasn't a bad person. Liz begged to be given a chance because she was a good mother. Later, after they walked into the Spaulding mansion and saw the destruction, Lizzie promptly left, claiming "Jonathan needs me."

Outside Cedars, Marina lost it and started crying as Tammy's death finally sunk in. Mallet tried to comfort her, but Marina continued to claim that she could've done more to keep Tammy alive. Later, Marina saw Remy looking at a picture of Tammy and told him that she was gone and he needed to find a way to accept that, but he said he wasn't going to stop until the men who killed Tammy were "wiped off the face of the earth." Mallet walked in to tell Remy he might just get his wish; Gillespie's condition had gone from stable to critical.

Back at the Lewis's, RJ showed Cassie and Josh a picture of Tammy that he drew; Cassie couldn't fathom telling him that his sister would never come home. Finally, Josh and Cassie both sat down with RJ and told him the news the best they could. Reva arrived to visit and everyone gathered around as Reva looked at Jon and Tammy's wedding photos for the first time. Meanwhile, with Sarah in his arms, Jon glanced at a picture of Tammy, saying "From now on, it's just you and me, kid." Lizzie watched from afar, unnoticed.
