Remy and Dinah plotted their trip to pay off her blackmailer. Mallet arrived and told Dinah to cancel her plans. Mallet asked Remy to scram and pitched a casino evening to Dinah including dinner, gambling and a night in a fancy suite. Dinah lied that she couldn't go because she had to leave town to cover a story. Dinah returned home to her Beacon suite to find a dark room and a man waiting for her. "Hello, partner," said the man. "Long time, no see. Like 5 to 10." Meanwhile, a mystery man helped Marina apprehend a jewelry heist suspect. When she turned around to speak to a fellow officer, the man disappeared. Marina got an alert that the mystery man was actually a dangerous felon, and viewers learned that he was the same man visiting Dinah. "I might be the dumbest cop you've ever met," Marina sighed. She said it...

Beth advised Ava not to move into the Spaulding mansion, but Ava would not be dissuaded. Meanwhile, Alan-Michael learned about Josh's bail hearing. Cassie arrived at the Spaulding mansion and asked Lizzie to testify on Josh's behalf at his trial. Alan-Michael explained that as head of Spaulding, Cassie should talk to him instead. A-M believed the case against Josh to be open and shut, but agreed to meet Cassie in Oakdale to discuss the situation further. Beth broke the news to Lizzie that Ava was moving into the mansion.

"The only reason you're doing this is to protect Cassie," Reva accused Josh. Reva stepped on a guard's foot, hoping to be thrown into a jail cell with Josh. "I believe that was assaulting an officer," she smirked. Instead, they were thrown into an interrogation room together. Reva pretended that she was the one who shot Alan, causing Josh to unintentionally reveal that he didn't commit the crime. Reva was angry that she had been willing to die alone so that Josh could have a fulfilling life and now he was throwing it all away. Reva bailed Josh out. Josh received a message asking him to meet Cassie in Oakdale. Josh found Cassie at the assigned meeting place, but they didn't have much time together before Alan-Michael stormed in with the police and explained that Josh had violated the terms of his bail by leaving the county and would have to return to jail. Meanwhile, Reva told Billy that Josh admitted he didn't shoot Cassie. "We could lose him...forever!" she lamented, and thought the price he was paying to protect Cassie was too steep. Billy believed Josh would do the same thing for her. "He is an equal-opportunity martyr," he argued.

At the hospital, Beth wondered to Alan-Michael how far Ava would go for the Spauldings. "Far enough," he responded. "Ava's a nice girl. I used to be one of those," snarked Beth, suggesting they become allies. Beth rubbed Alan-Michael's leg suggestively, causing A-M to wonder if Beth would juggle both him and his father. "I have two hands," she flirted. Rick told Beth and Alan-Michael that Alan would recover and then asked to speak to Beth privately. Rick complimented Beth's appearance, stating that pregnancy always agreed with her. Rick wondered if the baby could be his, but Beth assured that it was Alan's. Still, Rick thought the timing could finally be right for them to be together. They were interrupted by the sound of Alan's monitors beeping and both rushed in to check on the patient. Rick refused to let Doris see Alan. Rick mused to the comatose Spaulding that he had taken a vow to "do no harm" but wondered which was more harmful, letting Alan live, or letting him die. Back at the Spaulding mansion, Beth wondered if Alan-Michael was "up" for the challenge of ousting Doris.

Cassie assured RJ that Josh would be home soon. RJ lamented that wanted "something good to happen for once." Meanwhile, Billy grilled Josh at the police station, wondering if he had confessed to the murder to protect Cassie, but Josh stuck to his story. Billy ordered Josh to beat the charges. Cassie arrived at the police station, where she was informed that Josh didn't want to see her. Cassie told Gus that Josh didn't want her around because she was the one who really shot Alan. Doris announced that she would seek the maximum sentence. When Josh walked by, Cassie threw herself on him and had to be held back by Billy. Mel wanted Doris thrown off the case, but the DA offered to simply recuse herself, though she made it clear that she planned to wield her influence as the new Mrs. Spaulding. Mel thought Josh might be able to take back his confession, but he replied that he wouldn't. Gus received a call that Alan had taken a turn for the worse.

When Gus explained that Bobby had promised not to press charges against Daisy, the teen wondered if she was supposed to forget that he tried to rape her. Daisy informed Harley that she never wanted to see her mother again and took off. Meanwhile, Dylan visited Reva at Outskirts and told her about Daisy's night in jail. Reva thought throwing the teen in jail for the night was a bad decision, but Dylan asked Reva to back him and Harley. When Dylan left, Daisy emerged, causing Reva to wonder how long she had been listening. Daisy asked Reva to let her move in with her. Reva joked that if she had been in Daisy's position at the Beacon, she would have kicked Bobby "in his jewels" because she was raised "a proper young lady." Still, Reva believed that Daisy could do better than her recent behavior. Harley arrived and asked Daisy to come home with her to talk about things. Reva told Harley that Bobby should have been the one to spend the night in jail, not Daisy, and Harley ordered Reva to back off. When Harley claimed she didn't want Daisy to make the same choices she had as a teen, Daisy grew upset. "I'm not your daughter, I'm just a big old mistake," she sniffed. Harley asked Daisy to wait in the car, and told Reva she should have enough to worry about without interfering with Daisy. After all, Josh had been arrested. Reva made haste for Josh's holding cell.

Daisy sent a video message to a friend, complaining about Harley. She revealed on the video that she bought drugs from a pusher at school. Meanwhile, Harley tried to bake cookies for Daisy but burned them. Harley wondered if she should let Gus handle Daisy because his relaxed approach was much more successful with her daughter. Harley revealed the Dylan was in town — and single! "I'm going to hit that," Harley teased of her ex. Daisy arrived home and Harley told Daisy her dad was in town. When Harley revealed that she had seen Dylan at the high school dance, an argument ensued. Leah arrived and apologized for her treatment of Daisy and asked the teen if she wanted to do homework together. Daisy agreed, but suggested sneaking out her bedroom window instead of hitting the books. On Main Street, Leah gushed about a senior she had a crush on and asked for Daisy's sex advice.

Harley decided to be less strict with Daisy, but Dylan showed up with flowers for his daughter and worried that she needed guidelines. Harley and Dylan realized the teens might be gone and, with Gus, tracked them to Main Street. Harley blasted Daisy for sneaking out, causing Daisy to wonder: "Why can't you be more like Gus?" Bobby, Daisy's date for the dance, apologized for standing her up. "I got a better offer anyway," Daisy spat. Daisy reluctantly agreed to go with him to the library at Harley's suggestion, but he took her to the Beacon instead. Bobby planned to have sex with Daisy, but she wasn't interested. "I haven't done this before," Daisy revealed, explaining that she was a virgin. When Bobby wouldn't back off, Daisy drugged his drink. When he lost consciousness, Daisy called Harley and Gus for help. Gus took Bobby to the hospital while Harley dragged Daisy to the police station. "At this rate, you're going to end up pregnant, or dead, or worse," Harley fretted to her daughter and ordered Frank to lock Daisy up. Meanwhile, Gus intimidated Bobby into keeping quiet about Daisy drugging him and then comforted a distraught Daisy in her jail cell.

Frank wondered if Josh's confession was a stunt. Josh asked Frank to have Cassie removed from the interrogation room and explained to Frank how he shot Alan. Josh claimed that he fired his gun in self-defense. Frank released Cassie, and Josh assured her that he would receive a short sentence if he had to do time at all. Cassie told Frank that there was no way Josh shot Alan. RJ was upset that Cassie missed his soccer game and Josh wouldn't be home that night. Meanwhile, Alan-Michael blasted Josh for shooting his father and didn't believe Josh's claim that the shooting was an accident. According to Alan-Michael, the only accident was that Alan was still alive.

Ashlee welcomed Alan-Michael home. When he wondered who she was, she responded, "Ashlee, your stepsister." Ashlee suggested the share a family dinner or watch a movie, but he only wanted privacy. Ava found Alan-Michael looking at a childhood photograph and wondered why he was seated so far from his wheelchair. Alan-Michael covered that one of the servants had helped him to his desk. Ava wheeled Alan-Michael to the hospital where she put the photo of A-M by Alan's bedside.

Jeffrey arrived at Ava's room and learned that she was moving in with Alan-Michael. An alarmed Jeffrey called Olivia, who was visiting a comatose Alan in the hospital, for support. Jeffrey informed Ava that Olivia was having a personal crisis and arranged a meeting between the two women. Olivia fibbed to Ava that if they worked on their relationship, it would make Buzz happy. Ava blasted her mother for using her. Jeffrey worked to convince Ava that Olivia wanted to build a relationship with her because of their blood ties, not because of Buzz.

Buzz showed Coop the wedding bands he purchased and told his son that he and Olivia were planning to elope. "I can't wait to be your wife," Olivia assured, but she asked Buzz for more time. Buzz asked her to give him a reason for her change of heart, but Olivia requested that he trust her. Ashlee cried at CO2 and explained to Coop that she had to quit her job there on her mother's orders because Doris believed the job was beneath her daughter. Coop complimented Ashlee that he had never seen someone make the customers smile as much as her. Buzz gave Ashlee a key to CO2 and made her an honorary Cooper. Ashlee announced that she would talk to her mom and see if Doris would let her keep her job after all. Coop assured a worried Buzz that Olivia still loves him.

Frank showed Cassie video of her holding a gun on Alan's wedding day. Josh urged his bride-to-be not to answer any questions, but Cassie revealed that she didn't remember the night of the shooting and had been taking sleeping medication since Tammy's death. When Cassie claimed that she wanted Alan dead, Frank arrested her. Josh called Mel and asked her to be Cassie's lawyer. Buzz talked Frank into letting Josh see Cassie, and she asked Josh to look out for RJ. Josh assured that she wasn't going to prison and he still wanted to spend his life with her. When Josh saw Cassie being booked, he announced that he was Alan's shooter, not Cassie.

Buzz told Jeffrey that Olivia wanted to invite him to their wedding, but Buzz ordered him to decline. Jeffrey believed the wedding could bring them all together. "Do that on your own time," Buzz ordered. Buzz and Olivia decided to elope. Meanwhile, Alan-Michael told Ava he dreamed that no one came to Alan's funeral. He sent Ava to get an update on the police investigation into Alan's shooting. Jeffrey caught Ava snooping in police files and voiced his displeasure at her actions. When Ava announced that the Coopers were biased against Alan-Michael, Jeffrey mocked that Ava might as well just move in with Alan-Michael to be his full-time nurse. Ava told Alan-Michael that the police were focusing on Cassie as the prime suspect and announced that now that he was ready to return home to the mansion, she would be coming with him. Jeffrey called Olivia and explained that he was worried about Ava's involvement with the Spauldings, and suggested they give Ava a new project to distract her: Them. Olivia agreed to postpone her "plans" as Buzz booked a flight for the two of them to elope the next day.

Dinah received a mysterious flower delivery. She and Remy met for drinks and she explained that she needed help from someone with the skills he demonstrated when he beat Gillespie to a pulp. Dinah revealed that she was being harassed by a European prisoner who was being released the next week. Remy agreed to be in the car when Dinah dropped off the blackmail money that the thug demanded but wondered why she wanted him to bring a gun.
