GL Recaps Week of June 18, 2007

Friday, June 22, 2007
Reva gazed at a picture of Jonathan and Sarah, vowing to help them. She later called Jon to say he'd see her soon. Meanwhile on Main Street, Lizzie told Alan she was struggling to find out what happened the night she blacked out and confessed to having nightmares about Reva tying her up. Concerned, Alan phoned Doris for a favor. They got together and claiming he wanted to be friends, Alan gave her a diamond bracelet.. "Who do I have to slaughter? That many diamonds doesn't come without a price," Doris deadpanned. Alan admitted that he needed her help; Doris countered that it'd cost him.

At Cedars, Cassie happily told Josh that she's finally at peace about Tammy. Josh asked his fiancée to read his first divinity school paper on honesty. Meanwhile, a doc informed Mallet that a post-op Dinah was still in unstable condition. Marina gave him a pep talk and told him not to blame himself. She offered to help find the shooter, which he declined. Later, he loaded his gun.

Reva, suitcase in hand, ran into Lizzie on her way out the door. Reva claimed she was visiting Hawk in Oklahoma. Liz said she didn't blame Reva for skipping town, especially since Alan blames her for kidnapping. When she shared her weird nightmare, Reva feigned concern and asked if Liz had sought professional help. Liz admitted she had but said partying with Reva was the best therapy. After talking about how much she missed Sarah, Liz begged Reva to take her along to Oklahoma. When Reva said no, Lizzie left in a huff.

Back at Cedars, Marina ran into Josh and Cassie and reported the shooting. Cassie's jovial demeanor turned sour and she railed at Josh for thinking that praying would make everything better. Undeterred, he paid Dinah a visit to say everyone is praying for her.

On Main Street, Mallet confronted a puzzled Cyrus, blamed him for Dinah's suffering and sucker punched him. Cyrus protested that he cares for his former partner in crime. When Marina interrupted the boys' scuffle to chide Mallet for his erratic behavior, Cyrus asked Mallet to seriously consider his offer to help.

Olivia interrupted Jeffrey's lunch at Company, demanding his help with her Spaulding contract. She was jealous when Jeffrey received a call from Reva. He followed her back to the Beacon, where she screamed that she doesn't have a ting for him. After more squabbling, she pulled him in for a kiss. One thing led to another and Liv pushed Jeffrey on to the bed, but he put a halt to the seduction, claiming she was doing it only to exorcise her demons from the night of the rape.

Onboard the plane, Reva was stunned to find a smug, cigar-smoking Alan on her flight. After he got in a few pot-shots, a cop arrived and arrested Reva for kidnapping Lizzie. "Alan's smarter than I thought," she sighed. Fortunately, Reva had time to phone Jeffrey for help before being carted off to jail.

As Lizzie cried on Main Street, Cassie walked up and asked if she had any antidepressants to share. They bickered about who was hurt more by losing a child, then Cassie noted that that she had her entire life to make things better. They shared a warm moment and hugged.

Mallet arrived at a mysterious location where he met Cyrus and a bound-and-gagged Griggs.

What item did Alan tell Doris she could keep as a "token of appreciation"?

Picking up from where the show left off yesterday: Griggs pulled a gun on both Mallet and Dinah at the docks. When Mallet also drew his gun, Griggs prepared to shoot. Dinah screamed "No!" and jumped in front of him, taking a bullet to the head. Panicked, Mallet cradled Dinah and begged her to hold on as he called for help. "I'm nothing but trouble," she sputtered as she convulsed. Griggs, meanwhile, had disappeared. As Dinah's condition deteriorated, Mallet cried and willed her to live as he talked about their future and the family they hoped to build together.

Outside of Company, Beth ridiculed Rick for trying to sue her for custody of their unborn baby. Rick again tried to convince Beth to leave Alan, but she wouldn't. "I'll see both you in court," he spat.

At the farmhouse, Cassie encouraged Josh to continue studying his ministry books. She reassured him that despite whatever internal conflict she was experiencing, she was happy with his decision to be part of the church. As the couple sat down for a little heart-to-heart, Cassie flashed back to switching Beth's tests results then confessed to Josh that he was a far better person than she was. A noticeably serene Josh said he didn't question Cassie's faith and knew that she'd get used to being a minister's wife in her own time. Satisfied with Josh's understanding, Cassie said she was happy to go to a meet and greet with the wives of other divinity students. Later, Rick paid Josh a visit. He wanted Josh to host the annual Bauer barbecue, confessing that he didn't represent what the gathering was about — family. Josh refused, then offered his friend some free advice and a beer. When Rick expressed his concerns about Beth, Josh suggested he try to make Beth his ally, not his enemy. Instead of demanding Beth be with him, Rick should try to be her friend ... unless being with her meant more to him than the baby.

On Main Street, a paranoid Reva was startled when Jeffrey approached her from behind. Jeffrey surmised that Reva was scared of encountering Alan, but assured her that he would stay tight-lipped about the kidnapping, noting that she'd eventually have to face the truth whether he got involved or not. Jeffrey continued to prod, however, calling Reva out on meeting with a mysterious man. Reva spun a story and feigned embarrassment, claiming that after having too many drinks with Liz, she met the guy and spent the night with him. Later, Billy told Reva Alan was searching for her and wanted to know what she was up to. Reva brushed it off, reminding him that Alan was "whack" and explained that she only went out for drinks with Lizzie.

A conservatively dressed Cassie met with the fellow ladies of the divinity. Then Beth angrily approached Cassie, saying that if she wanted revenge on Alan, she should've gone after him, not the baby. Cassie screamed in retaliation, "If you lose your baby, it's because you don't deserve to have one!" and shoved Beth up against a wall, while the church ladies gawked in horror. When Beth took a few harsh potshots at Cassie's honesty, Cassie lunged at her, but Jeffrey broke up the women before it turned into to full-blown cat-fight. Beth left and Jeffrey ordered Cassie a stiff drink. Later, he eyed a hospital personnel badge and put the missing pieces of Reva's story together. Reva, meanwhile, gave Jon a call and discovered everything was fine with Sarah. She said she'd see them both very soon.

Back at the farmhouse, Cassie encouraged Josh to stay out of the Beth/Rick custody battle. Meanwhile, at the Beacon, Beth tearfully pleaded with Rick to not hurt her as she wondered aloud if they were still in love. Rick confessed he was. Beth asked him if he thought she was a good mother, but Rick was called to the hospital before he could answer. He left and Beth retrieved a video camera from the mantel. She had recorded the entire conversation.

Back at Cedars, Mallet demanded an update from the doctors, then stared at his bloody hands and fingered his wedding ring. When an EMT gave Mallet the bullet that entered Dinah, he took it as good news (despite all the blood loss) and held on to it as a token of faith that she'd survive. Later, Mallet admitted to Frank that it was his fault Dinah got shot; he knew who did it. A doc informed Mallet that Dinah was still in critical condition and needed an operation to reduce brain swelling; he reluctantly signed the consent form.

At the end of the episode, Jeffrey called Reva for a meeting, claiming he knew what she was hiding.

Fearful that Mallet had lured Matt away to kill him, Dinah frantically tried to locate the duo. When Mallet wouldn't answer his phone, Dinah made a desperate plea via voicemail, begging him not to pull the trigger. Then she ran back to Company in search of Vanessa, who was also nowhere to be found. A brief encounter with the always consoling Billy gave Dinah the reassurance she needed that Mallet was a good man and she was doing the right thing by him.

On the docks, a deranged Mallet told Matt the jig was up. He had to kill Matt for Griggs in order to save Dinah. Confused and alarmed, Matt tried his best to talk Mallet down, reminding him of everything he'd lose. Undeterred, Mallet vowed to protect Dinah, even if it meant killing again. The two tangled, Mallet pulled the trigger and then quickly rolled Matt's limp body into the water.

Back at the Beacon, Mallet freaked when he heard someone approaching the door. He drew his gun and prepared to fire, but it was — Matt! He was alive and dripping wet, proving it was all a setup. "Maybe I should have a career as a stunt man," Matt cracked. Mallet advised him to leave town with Vanessa immediately. When Dinah finally caught up with Mallet, she informed him that Vanessa, who was in on the scheme, had told her everything and she was delighted that their nightmare is finally over. Mallet feigned relief, but he had to take care of one last thing....

Mallet found Griggs on Main Street and provided "proof" of Matt's assassination with an audiotape. Griggs, however, knew it was all a ploy. One of his goons followed Vanessa and spotted her and a very alive Matt at a gas station on their way out of town. Griggs warned Mallet that he also had someone watching Dinah and if he tried to make any trouble, she would be dead.

Back at home, Mallet lied and told Dinah that Griggs bought everything. Elated, Dinah was ready to party. Over glasses of wine, the couple reaffirmed their love. Mallet gave Dinah an early anniversary present and vowed to protect her; Dinah tearfully thanked her man for doing so much to save her family. Later, Dinah slept soundly, while Mallet sneaked out with his gun to off Griggs. He ran into Mel on Main Street and asked her to prepare his will immediately, just in case anything happened to him. Dinah, meanwhile, woke up when Matt called to say he'd been followed out of town. Realizing Mallet and his weapon were gone, Dinah took matters into her own hands and phoned Griggs, asking him to meet her at the docks. When Mallet returned home, he saw Dinah was gone and listened to Matt's message. He eyed Griggs's business card and knew that Dinah had left to kill him herself.

At the docks, Dinah, clad in a sexy number, pulled a vixen routine on Griggs. She told him that she had a criminal past and claimed that she wanted him to hire her and fire Mallet. Tempted by her offer and her "hot dress", Griggs pulled her in for a kiss. As they embraced, Dinah pulled out a knife to stab Griggs in the back, but Mallet suddenly rushed up and told her to stop. Mallet tried to restrain Griggs, who quickly escaped and trained his gun on both Mallet and Dinah. Mallet begged Dinah to go home as he pulled his own gun on Griggs. When Dinah saw Griggs pull the trigger, she ran in front of Mallet, took the bullet and fell to the ground, unconscious.

Just then, Harley spotted a the syringe near Zach, who said he got it from Rafe.

Frank dropped in on Marina, who called out her pop on snooping on Cyrus. Frank confessed he was so worried about his daughter that he followed her. Marina said she appreciated her father's concern, but begged him to let it go. She again claimed that there's nothing between her and the criminal. Having heard that Cyrus was lurking about Company with Buzz, Frank left.

At Company, Buzz was gazing at a photo of Jenna when Cyrus arrived and noticed that Buzz's pen was a stolen one. Cyrus eyed Jenna's photo as Buzz explained that the pen was a "gift" from her. Cyrus knew of Jenna because she was a legend in jewel thief circles; Buzz pointed out that she gave it all up for love. Though Cyrus never met Jenna, he'd heard many stories about her. After Buzz recounted how he met Jenna, Cyrus asked Buzz if their relationship was worth it. He said it was. As the men downed a few drinks, Cyrus shared that he owes Alexandra for giving him a second chance. Unbeknownst to him, a lurking Alex was eavesdropping. Frank barged in, demanding to know what Cyrus was doing with Buzz, who accused his son of overreacting. The argument was halted by Marina's arrival.

Mallet returned to his silver briefcase and pulled out his gun as he thought again about what Griggs had asked him to do. When Griggs called for an update about the hit on Matt, Mallet tried stalling, but Griggs issued another threat against Dinah. When Dinah came out from the bathroom and spotted the gun, which Mallet claimed was simply for protection. Dinah suggested calling the feds, reminding Mallet that he doesn't have to handle Griggs alone.

At juvie, Daisy wrote to Rafe, promising that she'd find him somehow. When Dylan visited and asked about the new boy in her life, Daisy gushed, but acknowledged that she doesn't even know his real name. When she expressed her desire to live with Harley, Dylan said he'd make some calls to help her.

Back at the Cooper household Harley accused Rafe of doing drugs. When Gus said he'd handle the situation, Harley insensitively brought up his own drug problems. Later on, Gus shared his own addiction problems with Rafe, who explained that he's no druggie mdash; he's diabetic. A relieved Gus apologized. Rafe later eyed a photo of Daisy and told Gus he's decided to stay at their place after all.

Dinah was making a phone call on Main Street when a car tried to run her over. She was fine and told Mallet it was only an accident, but he suspected otherwise. Later, Matt informed Vanessa, Mallet and Dinah that he's on the road to repaying his debt, but it will take 20 years. While everyone else celebrated, Mallet looked as worried as ever.

Back at Company, Marina informed Cyrus that she had nothing to do his being followed. When Cyrus remarked that they always get into trouble when they are together, the duo had a laugh, which turned into flirting, which was interrupted by Alex. Later, Buzz told Marina that everyone deserves a second chance, even thieves.

Saying he wanted to look at jewelry for Dinah, Mallet got Matt to leave Company. Dinah was puzzled and so was Matt when Mallet brought him to the docks. Mallet told Matt that the goons want their money now, not in 20 years. Matt thought he and Vanessa should skip town, but Mallet drew his gun and told Matt he was sorry.

On Main Street, Jeffrey asked Reva why she kidnapped Lizzie. Reva, of course, scoffed at the idea but Jeffrey pressured her to give him an answer, threatening to give Lizzie a ToxScreen test to see if she was drugged. Reva finally gave in and told Jeffrey that Alan's fundraising check had bounced and so she kidnapped Lizzie to get back at him. She admitted to taking Liz, but felt guilty about the abduction so she staged the entire drunken "party" scene in Liz's room because she couldn't go through with the plot. Reva challenged Jeff to turn her in and even called Frank herself, but Jeffrey stopped her. Jeffrey added that it wasn't in Reva's nature to not follow through with her plan. He was still curious about what really happened, but Reva remained calm and noted that turning her into the authorities would be futile because Alan couldn't prove anything.

In juvie, mean girl Megan gave Ashlee a hard time, ribbing her for having a huge crush on Coop. Daisy, meanwhile, was thrilled to see Rafe in her room (no vents this time!). Rafe explained that he was getting out of juvie today. Daisy was bummed, but assured him they'd keep in touch and they exchanged contact information. Rafe tried to explain his feelings for her, adding that he was happy they met. The teens kissed good-bye then Rafe slipped away to avoid one of the guards. Later, Lizzie showed up claiming she wanted to visit Daisy, but instead she asked Coop out for coffee. He told Ashlee, who was watching nearby, good-bye. She looked terribly defeated as she watched her crush leave with his ex.

Gus and Harley attempted to convince Natalia that Rafe would be better off living with them. Nat was livid when they suggested they could provide a better home for her son. Gus assured Nat that he wasn't trying to take anything away from her or belittle her many sacrifices for raising Rafe alone; he simply wanted Rafe to be able to attend a better school. Nat refused to give in, but Harley told Gus she was certain Nat would accept their offer ... eventually.

Back on Main Street, Lizzie told Coop about her mysterious blackout and the new tattoo on her hip. Coop reassured Liz that she was fine. When he said he was going back to see Ashlee at juvie, Liz chided him for paying so much attention to the girl, reminding him that'd be smart to stay away from Ashlee because she is bad news (she did try to kill Alan, after all!). Ashlee, meanwhile, explained to Daisy how stressed she was about kissing Coop before. Daisy was more concerned with her own boy troubles. She never got Vent Boy's real name before he left juvie!

A clearly distracted Reva paid Daisy a visit, who dished about her crush on Rafe. Reva sought comfort in her granddaughter's excitement, reminding Daisy that she means the world to her. Natalia, meanwhile, picked up a newly released Rafe and told him that she'd found a new place for them to stay, but explained that he has other options. When she brought up living with Gus, Rafe said he didn't want to. Later, Nat called Gus saying was bringing Rafe over for a brief visit.

Still investigating Lizzie's kidnapping, Jeffrey asked Liz if she could remember anything else from her night with Reva. She confessed that during her blackout she had some fuzzy memories of an unknown man talking in a different language. Jeffrey thanked her for the tidbit of info, then later eyed Reva secretively talking to a mysterious man on Main Street.

Megan explained to Ashlee that because Coop turned down her previous flirty advances, she was going to blackmail him and tell Mrs. Hannigan that Teacher Coop was being inappropriate and coming on to his students. Later, Ashlee warned a very grateful Coop about Megan's plan. When she brought up how awkward she felt about their kiss, Coop agreed that they should pretend it never happened, then admitted he wasn't bothered by the buss.

Once at Gus and Harley's place, Rafe was clearly uncomfortable. Harley pulled Nat outside and told her that as a mother, she should know what's best for her son. Nat quickly changed her mind about the situation and told Rafe that he doesn't have a choice and will be staying with Gus and Harley. Nat reluctantly admitted to Gus that he was right. Rafe would have a real home with Gus and his family. They hugged and Nat left. Upset, Rafe called Daisy back in juvie to tell her he was staying at his dad's place. While Gus and Rafe prepared to watch the Cubs game together, Zach snooped around in Rafe's bag and discovered a syringe.
