GL Recaps Week of Oct. 23, 2006

Ava railed to Coop about being Olivia's daughter. The tirade was interrupted by a call from Ashlee, who summoned them to Company as Buzz had asked her to do. They arrived to find Buzz with Olivia, who had also been duped into showing up for a surprise family dinner. None of the guests were pleased. Still they broke bread together as Ashlee served them and blathered on about how much Ava and Olivia resemble each other. She helpfully added that her own mother, Doris, is also a "bitch." Liv downed wine, Ava was speechless, Coop shifted uncomfortably and Buzz sent the blabby waitress away. Olivia pronounced the dinner over and stalked off, with Buzz in pursuit. Once they were gone, Ava announced that she got her appetite back and Coop suggested they order room service. On their way out of Company, Coop and Ava ran into Alan-Michael, who hoped to order soup. Coop flipped the open sign to "closed," but Ava offered to work late with A-M and said she'd find him soup at the market. Coop was irked, but Ava said she needed to get her mind off Olivia. He gave in and watched her share a smoldering look with A-M before they left together.
At the Beacon, Buzz trailed Olivia to her room as she raged about his own parental missteps and then bashed him as being beneath her: not rich and powerful enough and so on. Buzz totally saw through her anger and calmly informed Liv that she needed someone to love her and stand by her. Moved, she threw her arms around him and apologized for her cruel outburst. "You weren't lashing out at me. You were lashing out at him," observed Buzz, who was referring to the rapist who sired Ava. After counseling Liv to find a way to forgive, Buzz made his exit. In the meantime, A-M encouraged Ava to ascertain the truth about her dad, saying that perhaps Olivia is lying about him.
As Reva lay in a heap on the floor at Towers, Josh proposed that he, Cassie and RJ make an impromptu jaunt to Paris. Lickety-split they were aboard the Lewis jet, which was well-stocked with champagne, and Reva was rushed into Cedars. Lillian, Rick and Mel got to work on the patient as Billy stood by. Lillian questioned why Reva was in possession of a certain medicine, but Billy was reluctant to say anything.... Back on the jet, Cassie observed that Josh is still worried about Billy's fall off the wagon and suggested that perhaps they should stay closer to home. Lewis still wanted to make the trip. Back at the hospital, Billy admitted to the medical team that Reva was diagnosed with breast cancer six months ago and been treated by Colin McCabe. He explained that no one other than he and Jonathan knew. "Not even Josh?" marveled Lillian. Reva's eyes opened and she gasped in horror and begged Billy not to let her die in a hospital. He gently explained that he had to reveal her medical secret.... Meanwhile, Josh and Cassie's flight was delayed by foul weather, so Josh said he'd pick up work at the office until they were cleared to fly.... Against Reva's wishes, Billy maintained that Josh be notified and picked up his cell phone. While at Lewis Construction, Josh received a call from Billy, who reported that Reva is at Cedars.
Buzz returned to Company and apologized to Coop, who warned his father not to bring "that woman" around Ava again. At her place, Olivia stared at a medal and flashed back to waking up alone in bed post-rape. There was a knock at the door and she jumped. It was Ava, who demanded the truth about her dad.
Cassie assured RJ that they are still going to Paris and promised that with Josh they'd be a "real family."... At Cedars, Rick tried to comfort Mel, who was shaken up over Reva's condition, but she pushed his arm away. Josh barged in and was stunned to see an ashen, unconscious Reva hooked up to monitors. "My God, what happened?" he gasped.

Josh took Cassie to the lighthouse, explaining that it had been his special place with Reva, but now he's ready for a fresh start. They shared a gentle kiss. As they got up to leave, Josh spotted the red rabbit's foot that Reva had lost before the party. He picked it up.
At the closed bridge, an emotional Reva poised to drive to her death, but was stopped when Jonathan rushed up and insisted on talking to his mom one last time. She begged him to leave, but Jon stood firm. He recalled how he once hated her, but now knows about love because of Reva. With tears streaming down her face, Reva reminisced about memorable moments with Jonathan. He grabbed her and apologized for all the trouble he'd caused. "No apologies and no regrets. Not for us," responded Reva. They talked about the afterlife. Reva promised that if there is life after death, she'll never really leave him. Reva and her son kissed, then she sent him on his way. Jon turned back to say, "Hey, I love you, Mom." "I love you too, son," she assured, then watched him walk away.
Lizzie happily chatted about the baby to a stone-faced Tammy at Company. When Liz said she'd been working on building a family, Tammy accused her of pursuing Jonathan all along. Lizzie admitted that she wants a future with him. Tammy was furious and chewed out Lizzie, who stood her ground, pointing out that she and Jon are now married with a baby. She told Tammy to grow up and walked out. Remy and Marina came in and took note of Tammy's bad mood.
At Towers, Josh and Cassie found a boozed-up Billy at the bar. The brothers argued over Billy's drinking. Josh asked about Reva's whereabouts, and Billy cried that she's gone and it's too late. Meanwhile, Reva cranked up the music and got ready to drive off, but her cell phone rang. Seeing that the call was from Josh, she reluctantly picked up. Josh notified his ex-wife that Billy is drunk and advised her to come deal with the situation. Reva tried to wriggle out of it, but an irate Josh laid on a heavy guilt trip, then told her to "go straight to hell." Reva stepped on the gas.... Back at Towers, the Lewis brothers continued to argue, while Cassie tried to keep the peace. She was sympathetic toward Billy, but Josh gave the bartender cash and told him to let Billy "drown himself," then send him home in a cab. Cassie and Josh exited and Billy picked up a bottle.
Lizzie found Jonathan at the lighthouse and lovingly comforted him. She said he could let the memory of Reva live on with their daughter. They wept and held each other. In the meantime, Tammy pouted to Remy as she packed up her room at the Beacon. He picked up a framed photo of Tammy and Jonathan, which Tammy instructed him to throw in the trash. "Jonathan belongs with Lizzie now," she said. When Remy asked where Tams belongs, she smooched him. Remy said that the next time Tammy kisses him, he wants it to be about him.
Billy heard someone call out his name; he turned around to see a blurry image of Reva and asked if she was "at the bottom of the lake." Reva said she guessed she could hold on for a few more days and warned Billy to give up the sauce and self-pity. She also urged him to find someone other than her to love him. "I want you to be happy even if it kills me," she said. They started to leave, but Reva collapsed into a heap on the floor.

Today's episode was titled "Landslide"
Alone at the lighthouse, Reva bid farewell to the people and things she will miss. "Good-bye everybody I love," she whispered before shouting "Good-bye Springfield!" She accidentally dropped her red rabbit's foot and vowed to "party like it's my last night on earth." Reva returned to Billy's Beacon room and prepared for the going-away party she'd asked him to host in her honor. Reva implored him to help her get through the evening, noting that she wants her loved ones to remember her drinking and dancing, not weak and dying. Billy glumly responded that he'd have trouble pretending everything is okay. They pulled up in front of Towers in the red sports car, she plans to drive to her death. Reva instructed the valet to keep it parked outside because she may make a hasty exit. Reva realized that she'd lost her lucky charm, but said that she didn't need it.
Determined to appear buoyant and carefree, Reva made her grand entrance.... Harley commented on the odd menu, which included champagne, hors d'oeuvres, kegs of beer and ribs. Reva quipped that the theme was "Oklahoma Fabulous."... Buzz pulled Reva into a bear hug. He was accompanied by Olivia, who thanked Reva for the invitation. Reva noted that Liv was a big part of her life in Springfield.... Blake observed that Reva's exit sounds permanent. "Nothing's permanent," replied Reva before advising Blake and Jeffrey that whoever wins the election must take care of the town. When tears welled up in Reva's eyes, Billy told the pals that drinking always makes Reva sentimental. After Billy pulled her away, Jeffrey asked Blake if she thought Reva was "trying too hard."... Reva advised Rick, who came stag, not to spend time feeling sorry for himself. Blabby Rick told Reva that Gus and Harley are having a baby, but said not to tell anyone. Reva loudly congratulated Harley and Gus. When a misty Reva started talking about the "circle of life," Harley asked if she was all right. Reva claimed baby talk makes her emotional and requested that Harley make sure Susan is a part of the child's life... Watching Olivia's flirtatious behavior with Buzz, Frank asked why Reva invited her former rival. Reva replied that life is too short to hold grudges and told him to take care of himself.
Jonathan arrived with Lizzie, who was surprised that Alan was on the guest list. When talk turned morbid, Lizzie urged her mother-in-law to believe in miracles. Reva encouraged Lizzie to go talk to her granddaddy. Reva and a somber Jonathan went for some air and he asked if tonight's the night she drives off into the sunset. He wanted her to hold off, but she insisted that it has to be done tonight. After a champagne toast to themselves, Jon informed Reva that he broke up with Tammy and is sticking with Lizzie. "This is all wrong!" she cried. Jon said it's not his mom's problem and that she'll be gone and the rest of them will have to move on. Back inside, Reva swapped barbs with Alan, who taunted her about leaving with her "lush of a boyfriend." Billy warned Alan to shut up. Spaulding made digs about Reva having yet another breakup with Josh and called her a coward for running away. Jonathan lunged at Alan, but Reva coolly broke it up and threatened to "haunt" Alan if he doesn't do right by Jonathan, Lizzie and their baby. Alan slunk off.
A subdued Tammy strolled in by herself. Reva tried to give her hope about her future with Jonathan, but Tammy maintained that it's over and asked if she could go away with Reva, who gently turned her down. Reva predicted that her niece will meet someone, but Tammy wondered if we only get "one true love." Cue Josh and Cassie's arrival. Josh made a comment about Billy and Reva's return, but she implied that she might stay gone. Cassie and Josh told Reva about his Cross Creek Christmas dream in which Reva asked for help. "Maybe there's a part of you, Reva, that doesn't want to leave," Josh surmised.... Reva's dad Hawk and brother Rusty arrived. Hawk groused about his daughter's decision to hand Josh over to Cassie. "That man was meant for you the moment you laid eyes on him," Hawk squawked.
The karaoke portion of the party kicked off, but as Billy sang "Pretty Woman" he was overcome by lyrics and had to stop by claiming "I can't sing." The crowd cheered for Reva to sing. While she obliged, a montage of Reva memories played.
Reva asked Jonathan to cause a distraction and he announced a tequila challenge at the bar. As she was about to slip out, Josh stopped her at the exit. "You didn't think you were going to get away with it?" he asked. "You were trying to sneak out without having to say good-bye." Josh noticed her strange behavior, but Reva covered by saying she had, "one foot out the door." Josh countered that Reva was always looking for the next big adventure while he was always just searching for her. They wished each other happiness and said good-bye.
Reva took one last look at the room and saw everyone laughing, drinking, singing and dancing. She wiped away a tear and boarded the elevator. When she got down to her car, she found Billy waiting for her. "It's been a real pleasure, every minute," he sobbed. They hugged and Reva got into her car. "This is it," she declared and roared off.

After planting a media report to provoke the blogger, Mallet suggested to Marina that they gather all of the Springfield Burns victims for a meeting. When he seemingly forgot to include Dinah, Marina called him on the fact that he was using this as an excuse to see his ex. Mallet arranged for Gus, Harley, Dinah, Jeffrey and Blake to meet with him and Marina at the courthouse. When everyone showed up, Mallet pulled Dinah aside and cautioned her against trying to trap the blogger. He thought she was trying to get him to rescue her, while Dinah accused him of setting up the meeting just so that he could see her. The argument escalated until Marina came along with an offer of two Coldplay tickets, which only further irritated Dinah, who left in a huff. (And frankly, we see Dinah as more of a Gnarls Barkley girl....) Afterward, Blake and Jeffrey ran into each other and traded barbs. Back at Jeffrey's room, Dinah accused him of feeding a false lead to Mallet so that he can find the blogger himself. She offered him Pringles, which he declined and sex, which made him pull her into a kiss..... Mallet told Marina he'd go to the Coldplay show, but he had to do something first. Jeffrey and Dinah decided that they weren't in the mood and would just watch TV, but Mallet, who was lurking outside thought something else was going on and sadly walked away.
Josh showed up at Towers and gave Billy extra keys to Cross Creek. He awkwardly hunted for details about Reva's trip. The brothers watched a game on TV and did some brotherly bonding. Josh noted that Billy's the right one to help Reva. Meanwhile at Cross Creek, Cassie told Reva that she knows about the secret her big sis has been keeping. Reva cracked under pressure and wept that there isn't a "cure." A puzzled Cassie brought up the pot she'd found and said that she'd also seen a lot of pills among Reva's things. Reva claimed that she had been battling a pill addiction, which Billy helped her beat. The sisters shared a tender moment and hugged. After Cassie exited, Billy returned to Cross Creek. Reva told him that everyone in her life will be okay and she's ready to go. But first, she wants Billy to host one last party for her.
Gus's daddy-to-be mode went into overdrive when the doctor called Harley about her pregnancy test results. He wanted to tell everyone that they are expecting, but Harley said that's bad luck and that they have to keep mum for three months.... Cassie arrived back home where Josh was still playing Mr. Fix-It. He suggested he move in. Cassie agreed.

Josh dreamed that he visited Reva at Cross Creek to decorate in preparation for Marah and Shayne's Christmas visit. In the dream, he cheerily discussed old times, but a somber Reva asked for help. When she touched Josh's hand, keys appeared in his palm. Josh awoke and told Cassie about the dream; she went out for a while. While Josh was building shelves for Cassie's closet, Ned dropped by the farmhouse. Josh said that he thinks it's a good thing that Reva is leaving town and sung Cassie's praises. In the meantime, Cassie stopped by Reva and Billy's room at Towers. When there was no answer, she let herself in. Cassie found several framed photos of Josh and a bag of marijuana, which she swiped. On Main Street, a flustered Cassie left a cryptic message for Josh. She then accidentally dropped the pot — in front of two cops. They hauled her down to the station. An amused Josh showed up and asked where Cassie got the pot. She came up with a lame excuse about finding it in front of Company and picking it up so that no kids could smoke it. Since her record was clean and Josh vouched for her, the officers let Cassie off the hook. She still wouldn't admit where she found the dope, but rushed of to see "a friend." Josh later told Ned about what happened, noting that he trusts Cassie.
Reva and Billy got a look at the red sports car she plans to drive to her death. Billy told Reva he had a surprise and they went for a ride. Billy and Reva ended up back at Cross Creek and he showed her his surprise: He'd decorated the house for Christmas. They shared eggnog, listened to holiday music and kissed under the mistletoe. A teary Reva got nostalgic over Christmas memories, but said that she'd always grabbed life by the horns and lived life to the fullest. Reva wanted to go for another ride, but grew faint and collapsed in Billy's arms. He gently tended to Reva, then went to get her some soup.
Ava showed up at Olivia's trial and locked eyes with the defendant. Prosecutor Doris Wolfe called her to the stand and Ava discussed her contentious relationship with Liv. But Ava also denied that the hit man tried to kill her and testified that Olivia is innocent. Much to Doris's chagrin, Ava insisted that she was in no danger. The hit man slipped out of the courtroom, thus blowing the prosecution's chance of getting him to testify. The judge threw out the case. Olivia tried to thank Ava, who blasted her and said she only kept quiet so that she wouldn't forever be connected to Olivia. Liv pointed out that they are connected as mother and daughter, but Ava said her adoptive mom is her real mother and took off in a huff.
Cassie barged in on Reva at Cross Creek and said that she knows everything.
