As Olivia prepared to leave the hospital, she smiled as she finally began accepting the gift of life Gus gave her. When Ava came to take her home, she realized she'd forgotten to pick Emma up from school. Olivia called the school and discovered Rafe picked Emma up. When Rafe showed up, however, she refused to thank him, claiming she didn't need his or Natalia's help. Rafe was surprised at how ungrateful Olivia was.

Later, Natalia found Olivia sitting on the floor in the hallway at the Beacon. When Nat helped her up, she asked Olivia if she'd been talking her medicine. Olivia grew impatient with Natalia's questions, and while they argued, Mel knocked on the door to talk to Natalia about Gus' will. Mel told Nat that the house Gus bought belonged to her, but Natalia said she'd have to sell it because she couldn't afford the mortgage. Olivia offered to buy the house. Natalia was surprised Olivia would do something so nice for she and Rafe, but Olivia said she intended to buy the house for herself so she could live in it. Natalia was blown away by Olivia selfishness and left her room to go finish her work.

Meanwhile, Cassie headed off to work at the Beacon. When she got in the car, she took off her conservative suit jacket (and her wedding ring) and put on a sexy red shirt. She then stopped by Towers to have a few drinks and began flirting with a new man. After a few drinks, he invited Cassie to his room, but Cassie managed to sneak away so she could avoid accepting his offer. When she returned home, she found letters from Will and yelled at Josh for keeping them from her. Josh told Cassie he didn't want her to know Will was in solitary confinement because he knew it would upset her. Cassie said she understood and left, claiming she needed to go get dinner.

Once Cassie was out of the house, she sat in her car and changed back into her revealing attire. Cyrus caught her and they shared a laugh about it. Cassie invited him to have a drink, and they went to Towers for beers. The bartender told Cassie she'd left her wallet there earlier, and Cyrus was surprised Cassie had already been drinking. She said it wasn't a big deal, and asked Cyrus if he wanted to go for a drive. Cyrus agreed, and the two hopped in his convertible and drove drunk. When they pulled over, Cassie leaned in and kissed Cyrus.

At the hospital, Ashlee filled out her paperwork to prepare for surgery. Coop realized she hadn't told Doris about it, and Ashlee claimed her mom would think she failed or was taking the easy way out and she didn't want to deal with her criticism. Before going into the surgery, Ashlee and Coop cried and hugged each other. As the doctor rolled her away, Doris showed up just in time to see her leaving. When Ashlee was gone, Doris was angry with Coop for not telling her about the surgery. Later, Doris clung to Buzz, and he tried to comfort her while they waited to hear from Ashlee's doctor. When Ashlee woke up, Coop and Doris were at her bedside, happy to see she was okay.

At the house that Gus built, Cyrus caught Harley watching a home video of her wedding. To try to get her mind off of Gus, Cyrus hugged and kissed her, and they went to the bedroom to finish what they'd started. In the middle of their making out, Mel stopped by to discuss Gus' will. Cyrus was annoyed with the interruption and more Gus talk. When Mel told Harley that Gus wanted her to run a Boys and Girls Club he had envisioned before he died, Harley was thrilled and wanted to begin working on it right away. Cyrus told Harley she needed to slow down and not give up her life to bring Gus' dreams to fruition. Cyrus and Harley argued, and in the middle of their screaming, Cyrus said, "Maybe I should go." "Maybe you should," Harley responded, and Cyrus walked out.
