At the police station, Mallet and Marina discussed the hassle of filling out the adoption paperwork. Marina admitted she's getting really excited about it, then reminded her hubby to call the agency because they phoned to say a portion of his employment history is still missing. He assured Marina that he'd take care of it.

Jeffrey and Josh canvassed all of Springfield to search for a missing Reva. They retraced her steps and Jeffrey said the last person he saw her with was Dinah. Meanwhile, at the Bauer cabin, Reva and Dinah continued to argue about Shayne. Reva refused to let Dinah go and plead her case that Shayne chatting with Edmund is a good thing because it will help him open up about Lara. Dinah was stunned by Reva's naivete and reminded her that Edmund is a very dangerous man with a long history of trying to harm La Shayne's family. "How many of your sons does this man have to threaten for you to wise up?" she added. Fed up with Reva, Dinah tried to flee the cabin but suddenly got dizzy and collapsed. Reva panicked and tried to call 911, but the phone lines were dead. So, she triggered the security alarm, hoping someone would come rescue them.

Back in town, Edmund showed Shayne some of the letters Lara wrote to him and revealed that he never told her about his history with Lewis clan or the rest of Springfield. Edmund was touched when Shayne shared a few memories of Lara and said he learned something new about Lara every day, and had wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. Eddie also opened up about how he met Lara's mother (she worked at the San Cristobel palace) and when Lara contacted him years later, they had the DNA test to prove he is in fact her biological father. After the men bonded, Shayne was on the verge of leaving when Edmund implored him to share how Lara died.

At Cedars, Christina greeted Remy and announced she just got accepted to Johns Hopkins‹ and she didn't even apply! Remy reluctantly revealed that he passed up the opportunity at Johns Hopkins medical school and suggested to the financial aid guy that Christina be considered for the med school grant instead. Christina railed at him for ruining his chances for a great degree; Remy countered that she deserves it more than he does. They continued to bicker and Christina followed him in to Company, where they ran into the woman whose baby Remy helped deliver in the restaurant a few months ago. They caught up, Remy greeted the infant and later admitted to Christina that he's been making house calls for the woman.

Mallet went home and rifled through some old files. He was freaking out about filling in the blanks of his employment history for the adoption application, fearful that his secret past as a hit man for Griggs would mess up his and Marina's chances to have a baby. Matters got worse when the agency called, saying they won't be able to process his application without the proper employment information. Meanwhile at the police station, Frank marveled at Marina's determination to have a child and told her that he's proud of her. Later, Marina came home; Mallet was gone. Having panicked about his past, Mallet got desperate, headed to the lake and tossed the old briefcase and gun from his hit man days into the water. He turned to leave, but had second thoughts and retrieved the evidence from the lake. When he finally came home, dripping wet, a worried Marina was relieved but very confused. Mallet said he has something to tell her about his past and it's not pretty. Marina admitted she's scared but said she can handle whatever it is.

Back at the cabin, Reva was relieved when Jeffrey and Josh arrived (they received a call from Frank at the police station saying there was something wrong at the cabin) to help her with an unconscious Dinah. They called an ambulance and Jeffrey stayed behind with Dinah. Reva explained that she needs to find Shayne because he's with Edmund so Josh took her the Beacon. Shayne rushed to Cedars to see Dinah after Reva explained what happened at the cabin, without ever revealing to Edmund just exactly how Lara died.

At Cedars, Jeffrey and Josh scolded Reva for keeping Dinah captive and putting herself in danger. When they reminded La Shayne about her fragile "condition," she bristled, told them that she hates that word and got angry about the duo ganging up on her. Then, she reluctantly admitted she was wrong about Dinah. Meanwhile, Dinah came to and shared a sweet moment with Shayne. She was relieved to see that he was okay and asked about his meeting with Edmund. Shayne explained that they just talked and it wasn't anything like he expected. Dinah surmised Eddie's trying to guilt Shayne into revealing the circumstances of Lara's death and urged Shayne not to befriend Edmund, no matter what. Shayne says he thinks Eddie's being sincere about loving Lara. "Don't give away your memories of Lara to somebody who doesn't deserve it," Dinah advised.

Edmund made a call to cancel his flight out of Springfield, saying he'll be in town for the foreseeable future. After he hung up, he vowed to find out if Shayne is telling the truth about truly loving Lara.
