Dinah and Shayne ran into each other at the drugstore. Dinah resolved to stop running to him with her problems and swore to forget she'd been involved in Lizzie's kidnapping. Shayne noted some parts of one's past were easier to erase than others. "I'm in control of my life right now," Dinah insisted, saying she didn't want to "muddy" it up with a relationship. "See you around, my non-kidnapping BFF," Shayne cracked, raising Dinah's ire. Later, he helped himself to Josh's lunch at Company and asked for advice about a "friend" who wanted to move on from their past. Josh assumed he was talking about himself, but no, he really DID mean a friend! Josh wondered why Shayne wants to help Dinah out so much and imparted some of his wisdom about women.

Bill snuggled with Birdie as a harried Lizzie called. She was headed to the police station to make a statement about Grady and wanted Bill to meet her there. At the Spaulding manse, Alan crowed about Grady not testifying against him but Phillip, still facing charges, was in no mood to celebrate. Phil called him out on framing Bill for Lizzie's kidnapping and ordered his dad to stop manipulating his daughter or else. Phillip then went to ask Frank about Grady's whereabouts. Meanwhile, Alan dropped by Company, where Josh sniped about changing the "Buzzburger" to an "Al's" burger. At the station, Lizzie was rattled to see Phillip and then had second thoughts about her statement. She asked Bill to hold her hand. "Forever," he smiled. Dinah asked Frank if Grady was really their suspect in Lizzie's kidnapping. She and Phillip watched as Lizzie signed her statement and then Dinah announced she wanted to throw a party to celebrate. She then went to Company, where Alan was smoking a cigar. She shared a few puffs, happy her brother had been cleared. Back at the mansion, Bill and Lizzie were about to make out, and Phillip walked in. He said as long as Bill made Lizzie happy, he was fine with them. Relieved, they went back to kissing. After Lizzie changed into a cute party dress, they kissed some more and Alan said he wouldn't miss their bash "for the world."

Frank offered Mallet and Marina sage parenting advice and left the duo to their "family leave" with baby Henry. Alone, they worried about Buzz and Daisy searching for Grady. Out on the AWOL Aussie's trail, grandfather and granddaughter were increasingly frustrated. Then, Buzz "saw" Jenna. He tearfully wondered what he was really looking for: "Grady or revenge?" Daisy looked on, shocked, as he banged his head against his truck. She tried to comfort him as best she could. Later, Vanessa, Billy, and Ashlee dropped by to help Mallet and Marina with the baby and join in their worrying. Daisy called in and told Billy how sad Buzz was. Later, exhausted Mallet had to turn down Dinah's party invite and Daisy tried to convince Buzz to go home. Frank woke up Mallet and Marina, updating them on Lizzie's statement. He offered to watch Henry while they went to Towers but they decided to stay home.

Everyone gathered at Towers for Dinah's party. She pulled Ashlee aside to tell her about Grady kidnapping Lizzie and asked her to coordinate some party coverage for WSPR before telling Daisy the grim news. Vanessa complimented Dinah on her handling of Ashlee and praised her for how she'd supported her brother. Dinah invited Josh to the party. Amused Josh passed this on to surly Shayne and they headed over. Shayne was clearly mesmerized by Dinah but he ran off instead of approaching her. Alan and Phillip soon arrived and then Dinah urged Bill to make a speech. "I love you, Lizzie!" he said in front of everyone, before thanking Dinah for standing by him. Unfortunately, after everyone toasted her, Phillip walked up and warned Dinah, "I know everything."
