GL WEEK OF APRIL 6, 2009 RECAPS

Week of Monday, April 06, 2009

It's the day of Phillip's verdict. Bill urged Lizzie to attend the court proceedings. Meanwhile, Alan successfully bribed the judge presiding over Phil's case with the $1 million to ensure a guilty verdict. At the mansion, Phil chastised Lizzie for revealing to Alan that she tried to pay off Foley. Lizzie thanked her pop for protecting her, adding that she wouldn't have been able to get past the kidnapping if she didn't know Grady was gone for good.

Daisy paid Reva a visit at Cedars after her first radiation treatment. Daisy was struck by seeing her grandmother suffering, but La Shayne assured her that she's happy, all thanks to baby Colin. The doctor told Jeffrey that the baby is ready to be released from the hospital. Jeffrey fretted about taking Colin home while Reva's still admitted. Meanwhile, Dinah approached Bill and told him about her court case. He wasn't amused and refused to forgive her. She added that the flashy WSPR report about the case wasn't a show for him and she plead with him one more time to let her back into his life.

Shayne met up with Josh at the new hospital construction site. Josh lost his temper when his son revealed that he'd spilled the truth about Lara's death to Eddie, adding that his life is likely now in danger because Edmund is unpredictable and unforgiving. Shayne plead his case, saying that he trusts Eddie and knows that Lara changed him. Meanwhile, Edmund ordered a stiff drink at Towers and found himself increasingly enraged. He went to the hospital construction site and read the memorial dedication, pausing when hesaid, "Lara's good friend, Shayne Lewis."

Back at Cedars, Shayne paid Reva a visit. She could sense that he was in a great mood and inquired why. He gave Dinah all the credit; Reva said she's grateful. Jeffrey told Reva that Colin is ready to go home. She tearfully agreed that she thinks the baby needs to spend the first days of his life at home with his father, telling Jeffrey he'll do a great job without her. Meanwhile, Dinah ran into Daisy at Cedars, who was looking at her new baby uncle in the nursery. "Doesn't he look like Shrek?" Dinah grinned. After, Shayne stopped by to pick up Dinah and they quickly retreated to Dinah's place at the Beacon for some nookie. They ordered room service and Shayne marveled at how they both seemed to strike the jackpot with each other. Dinah grinned from ear to ear.... Reva cried as she watched Jeffrey depart with Colin through her hospital room window.

Phillip arrived at the courthouse, surprised to see Alan there. Daisy also showed up to give support to Phil; Alan was stunned. The judge Spaulding swindled arrived to announce the verdict but gave Phil one last chance to speak first. He stood up and apologized to his children. Lizzie and Bill looked on as Phil was found guilty on all kidnapping charges and sentenced to prison. "No!" Lizzie cried. "That's not what I wanted! I don't want you to go away!" Before he was led away, Phil gave Lizzie a hug and Beth vowed to appeal. Alan gave a flimsy apology and assured his son that he'll take care of everything while Phil's locked up.

Josh called Jeffrey and warned him that they need to keep an eye on Edmund, adding that he has a bad feeling. Meanwhile, Eddie showed up at Cedars and peered at Reva sleeping through her room window. Later, Jeffrey sent Reva a laptop and hooked up a Web cam so she could watch him and Colin back at home. She was delighted.... Edmund confronted Josh at the site and made a curiously veiled threat about doing what's right by his daughter.
