At Cross Creek, Jeffrey and Reva discussed shopping for toys for Henry while waiting for Dinah and Shayne to arrive for brunch. Jeffrey assured his wife that they'll make up for the lost family time she spent in the hospital. Dinah missed a call from Shayne but he didn't leave a message. She stopped by to inform Reva and Jeffrey that Shayne left town for a few days but she's not sure where because she hasn't heard from him. Marina later showed up with Henry and explained how relieved she is to have her son in his life and to know that he'll be fine after the blood transfusion scare. Dinah held Henry and was struck by Marina's words. Jeffrey sympathized with Marina and brought up Ava, saying all medical records of biological parents of adopted kids should be available to them for times of need.

Meanwhile, Josh and Shayne arrived in Italy to search for Edmund and Roc. Josh thanked his son for coming along, explaining that he can't rest peacefully unless he knows that Edmund is "secure" and unable to harm his family. Shayne started to call Dinah but didn't. He told Josh they're having issues but will eventually work them out. Later, Josh got a call from a local hospital telling him that a burn victim has been admitted and he's terribly injured and not expected to live. They hightailed it to the hospital to see if it was Edmund.

At Company, Daisy and Buzz caught up. Buzz was surprised to learn that she went to Florida to hang out with James and pressed her for details. He teased her about crushing on a Spaulding. She shared her boy troubles with Buzz and wondered why the Coopers and the Spauldings can't make relationships work. Buzz advised her to follow her gut on the James situation. She admitted she likes him but hates his family.

At the mansion, James and Phil argued about the scheme over breakfast. James was still stressed out but they kept mum in front of Lizzie. James teased Lizzie about being so preoccupied with her wedding. She surmised that her obnoxious little bro isn't interested in money or business at all but just joking around all the time. Phil suggested Lizzie and Bill go to Chicago to find someone good to help them with the plans and offered to foot the bill. James was miffed and jealous by all the attention Phil paid to Lizzie. Later, he learned that he'd been cut off financially from the fam. He groused to a supportive Daisy and asked her to skip town with him. She declined. Meanwhile, Phillip tried to do some damage control. Lizzie caught him making a business call and mentioning Bill's name. Phil assured Lizzie he's looking out for Bill now, too. Phil panicked when he saw a news report about a new financial scandal and let out a huge sigh of relief when he heard that it had nothing to do with Springfield. Lizzie could sense something was wrong with her pop. She encouraged him to focus on and bond with James instead of her. Phil responded, "Sometimes when you try to help on child, you end up hurting the other." Lizzie was, understandably, confused but Phil brushed off his comment.

Marina knocked on Dinah's door, saying she thinks she knows what's wrong and surmised that Dinah and Shayne had a big fight; she offered her support if Dinah needs anything. Meanwhile, in Italy, a nurse unwrapped the burn victim's bandages for Josh and Shayne. They were shocked to see that the patient on the verge of death was Roc Hoover, not Edmund. Josh called Jeffrey to alert him. Jeffrey didn't tell Reva about the call. Shayne also phoned Dinah with the news, but she let the call go to voice mail because she was in the middle of her chat with Marina.
